The item I ordered went on back-order and I promptly requested that it be cancelled. CS over the phone states they put in a request to cancel the order and for 5 days I hear nothing from them and any calls result in "we're working on it" then suddenly I get a shipping email on day 6 followed by an email that the order wasn't able to be cancelled with the exact time-stamp the shipping email was sent.

Did they even try to cancel the order? It isn't hard to cancel 1 order over the course of almost a week!

This company has debited my CC withour my consent. I purchased from digital river 12 months ago, as a one off purchase. I have since been charged again and have disputed the transaction. Digital river will not assist and I am now liable for this second $120 transaction.
Do not use digital river.

Digital River is a complete rip off! I purchased AVAST THRU PAY PAL which I thought was a safe transaction. Pay Pal told me to dispute the transaction with DR. That was impossible, trying to jump thru all of the hoops. And pay Pal refused to do anything about it. They are probably in bed with Digital River. DR SHOULD be investigated!!! But they are probable a foreign company, and outside of the US jurisdiction. So go figure??

Re newed some anti virus software which I had previously cancelled. DEBITED MY ACCOUNT and now dont even recognise order number, straight forward theft. How are they getting away with this.???

Don't give Digital River My Commerce your financial information! Bought downloadable apps from a company using Digital River My Commerce. I used a credit card. The next morning there was a warning email from the CC company. I called and found there were two charges from DR My Commerce made in the early hours of the morning that I didn't make. I cancelled the credit card.

As mentioned by others no way to track order, site does not recognize its order numbers!!
Took my payment from paypal and then rejected my order but did not refund money. Samsung uses them for orders, but this company is a joke. Do not use them.

i have purchased a software for over 1,000 dollars from digital river. after learning it didnt function and being promised a 30 day no questions asked refund i have been ignored via email. so now i look for the quarterly reports page and at the bottom is numbers to their vice president and their media relations along with email adresses. hopefully they will issue my refund promptly......be creative guys people cant hide these days and dont buy anything from them.maybe ill call my buddy in fox news studio

I did not order a thing from them and never have and they took &35.95 out of my checking account!! When I called them they say they can't refund me because I'm not in their system, really I didn't order any thing!!! Yet they insist i give them my sales order number, I don't have one didn't order or receive and anti=virus from them. They cant find my name, e-mail address or my husbands info now they want my checking account number!!! I asked the lady if she was crazy, my bank sent them my bank statement with just that transaction on it and they says they need it to find me in the system and until they get it they can't refund me which I don't think they have any intention in refunding me!!! Plus she would not give me a headquarters phone number, I'm not done yet!!!!!!!!!!

Another case of "If it looks too good to be true if must not be"
I ordered a special promotion from Digital river for PDF+Scan suite 2013 for $139.95 which also offered a coupon to enable me to purchase Microsoft Office professional 2013 for $9.95. However when trying to order the Office professional I am told by Microsoft support that I have to be employed by a company and use that company's email address to take advantage of the offer. I am retired so can't do that. Nobody and Nuance or Digital River seems to be aware of this provision and it's not mentioned in their email ad. To me this is fraudulent. I am attempting to cancel the entire order. I hope that goes through. I don't want to have to take any legal action if I can avoid it.

Idiots, Number works spoke to someone last night. Anyway I bought a Roxio game capture HD pro £90 it cost me. On the 09th February got shipped on the 10th however I heard nothing from it. Theres no tracking number which I think is absolutely ridiculous as £90 is a lot of money. I tried to contact roxio and they say basically go away ask digital river which is stupid if I pay them they should sort it. I contacted digital river yesterday the womans response: It was shipped on the 10th if its not at yours on march the 10th we will check the warehouse...So basically I said why is there no tracking, you sent us an email saying it would be 4-7 days I understand its abroad but you shouldn't say that date if its not going to be here over two weeks later. When I paid it said it would be shipped via First class international mail from USPS however when I check it looks like it just says international mail. I told the woman basically I think its a joke I have received items from china faster than this. I could have bought exact same item same price from amazon and had in 3 days. on the roxio website I was on the UK website put country United Kingdom top right then said Deliver to the UK So I didnt think it would still be sent from America if I put my current country to United Kingdom. Personally i'm really disappointed and I don't know what I can do.

I've been ordering products over the internet ever since it started. I've bought many thousands of items. I've hardly had any problems with payments except for one very major and recurring instance - whenever the order includes ShareIt or Digital River for payment.

I've had products through them at least a couple of hundred times. I reckon at least 50% of those had major delays and were just messed up. I've had to wait days for stuff. Orders just disappear. They always seem to have problems with payments (definitely not my fault). They're difficult to get hold of. They just do not care.

I go anywhere else and I get instant payments and no problems. With ShareIt or DR it's delays, delays, delays...

The whole point of getting downloads is so we can get it instantly. I do not want to wait days for it.

I will not use them at all if I have an alternative.

Terrible service! Avoid at all cost!

Ordered the avast pro from on line got charged 19..99 on bank statement for this digital mess which is not what was supposed to be given i wanted ProAntivirus from Avast plus no nothing from them and when i finally got an email i went to print then email went somewhere it dropped off my emails. But I do have a print out thank God i have the info but cannot seem to get Pro Antivirus to download and when i make phone call it says only tech support when if you cant download it then it is technical support that we need. this company sucks. I will be making a customer service call in the morning with a lot of complaints. Even if i have to report to Better Business Bureau. Microsoft has a virus and has not let anyone know and Avast has felled to give us protection which we are willing to pay for.

DR handles global transactions for many different firms and has seamlessly dealt well with several purchases that I've made in the past. This is the first time a glitch has occurred and it is more likely the fault of the USPS than DR, given the recent track record of the USPS. I placed an order for a Pinnacle Studio 16 back up disk that never arrived. I called DR at the number above, pressed "2" when given the menu option and was speaking with a Customer Rep in less than 3 minutes. He was polite, his English was clear and understandable and he told me they'd sent me the B/U disc; that it was apparently lost in the mail; that they would send another that should arrive in 7 to 14 days. I will come back here and post the date it arrives. I have found that use of DR as an intermediary can be very confusing and frustrating and wish that companies such as Pinnacle or Corel that use DR financial services would take responsibility for implementing all the rest of their services instead of laying it off on DR. I like to know who I'm dealing with and exactly who to contact when a problem arises and, more importantly, exactly who is responsible for resolution of the problem. Corel/Pinnacle has not made the lines clear and this poor communication tarnishes Corel/Pinnacle and DR. They all need to get together and fix this...soon.

WARNING! In my recent experience - Do NOT Buy from Digital River! Absolutely appalled at the disgusting way these people do business. The online Nuance/Digital River sales person billed my CC after I told him/her to cancel the sale PRIOR to paying, but just after inputting my CC #. The salesperson immediately billed my card and ended the online process saying it was a customer service issue now. I contacted Customer Service within 5 minutes (not an easy feat since they evidently make it difficult to find the #) who told me, emphatically, that I would not be billed and even gave me a "special number" to use to show it had been handled. Of course, the Nuance product arrived today at OVER 2X (DOUBLE) the price that I eventually paid on Amazon.I now have to go stand in line at the Post Office to return the Nuance product to Digital River and only hope that Digital River will refund my money. Somehow, I have my doubts. IMO - STAY AWAY from Digital River!

I'm thinking I've been scammed after reading e-mails. Ordered Pinnacle software and have wondered where my package was after 2 weeks. Impossible to get a hold of them, they have my credit card number and charged it. Website has comical loops that take you nowhere. Stay away!

I submitted my product as a vendor, and received a link to the hosted product. The link was a purchase link -- I needed a trial link to put on my website. When I complained about this, I got a response laced with veiled sarcasm, without the person having understood (or carefully read) what I wrote. (This is the person I get almost all responses from, and helpful he has never been.)
My next complaint mail about the needed trial link was answered by another person who was very nice and helped me find the trial link on DR's website. This is how I found out that the trial link points to a "RegNow Download Manager", an exe file that users need to first download and run to get the product.
When I tried the link, the "RegNow Download Manager" downloaded as expected, but running it to download the product resulted in an "Error 403 -- Forbidden" message from RegNow's server. In repsonse to a link created by RegNow.
By this time (HOURS after the first mail), I had dozens of affiliates offering my product. Making it impossible to download the program on the day it appears on affiliates' sites is a sure way to kill it.
So I wrote RegNow again, this time telling them their link didn't work. And would you believe, the person (the one I usually communicate with) said he didn't understand my problem. My wife did, and she doesn't work for RegNow. So I explained it again, this time at grade school level.
It is now over a day since my first mail and 5 hours after getting reading confirmation for my last mail.
And no response. 5 hours is not enough for RegNow to correct their own mistake.
Any other company with a similar profile but better customer service?

This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. I purchased a link to download a Dragon software for nearly $300 which did not work. They asked me to call Dragon technical support because the lady said and I quote "we are not technically trained". It wasn't a problem on Dragon's end so they directed me back to DigitalRiver. To fix the problem that was DigitalRiver's fault they wanted me to pay them an additional $10. Why should I pay them for a mistake they made?

5 days and 7 calls later, I ended up refunding my order. If I added up all the time I spent trying to get assistance, I was literally on the phone with them back and forth back and forth for an entire business day with no real assistance. To top it all off, it seemed they had already shipped a training video I had purchased from them for $30. When I inquired about how to send the video back, they said they didn't want it back; they wanted me to destroy it. They didn't even want the damn thing back. Talk about putting out there that your product is worthless and that you are seriously overcharging yuor customers.

Oh and by the way I had to call them 7 times because the customer service representatives over there hung up on me twice. Each time you call, you can never get back to the person you spoke with before. They just won't do it. And you got to start ALL OVER AGAIN and hear all the same damn things over and over again. Even the supervisor couldn't give me a number to call her back on.

DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE. They will give you the run-around. They won't help you. I'm a very calm person, I don't get frustrated easy, and I've never actually taken the time to write a review online before but that is how bad my experience has been. Trust me, time is money, and I wasted so much of both trying to get what was fair. Buy whatever you want elsewhere, it'll be worth it.

so i open a new one asking how to resolve this.

Digital river blows their a bunch of damn scam artists don't buy anything thru them cause they will just rip you off, I purschased rollercoaster tycoon 2 with my credit card spent all night downloading file then go to install it and it says files in game are corrupted, so i uninstall and redownload still does not work, you think a decent company would give you a refund but not these bastards...

I have purchased KIS 2012 for two years at on Kaspersky online store on Aug. 2012, which is dealt by Digital River (DR)..

However, after using it about 4 weeks later, DR suddenly stopped my subscription without any notice. Therefore I wrote this matter to Kaspersky and received DR's response 4 days later.

DR informs me that he is preparing to refund and informs me to purchase the very same product again at his online. CS of DR should be Custom Smash or insane. Really stupid.

I used to license a lot of code from vendors who used Digital River for payment processing and marketing.

The past couple of days I had been trying to license a piece of code for $14.02. The transaction kept failing whether or not I tried a credit card (!!) or PayPal.

I spoke to their customer service representative this morning who informed me that only if I reversed charges which I had disputed in 2009 for $60 (code which did not work as described) would I be permitted to make the current license purchase.

I informed the company's agent that I would not accede to waiving my rights as a consumer.

Digital River's extortionist tactics appear to have been copied from an Al Qaeda terrorist manuals. I will NEVER do business with ANY company affiliated with them.

Tangentially, prior to 2005, I used a credit card kept on file at Digital River for small software purchases from boutique, niche coders in different parts of the world. It wasn't until I rescinded my statements with purchases for taxes one year that I saw I had over a thousand dollars in "mini-charges" from companies I never heard of or had done business with.

Maybe it was a coincidence. But Digital River was the only on-line company that had my credit card information during those years.

Since that time I cancel my debit/credit cards once a year and replace them with new ones to help avoid Digital Theft.

I do know that I have not had a problem paying vendors directly using PayPal and Authorize.net, ever.

They enrolled me in an auto renewal for microtrend software. Tried to cancel numerous times, tried contacting.. guess what.. that right .. unable. They said my order number doesn't exist...then why am I being charged?? Submitted a false claim with paypal. If that doesnt work.. guess I will be cancelling my paypal account. Cant stand the thought of paying again next year for an order that doesnt exist.
