This place is so scam. It would be very hard to cancel your account.They will ask all your information: SSN, Date Birth, Mother Maid Name.

Read the fine print. Thought I was getting my free annul credit report not ! These guys are scammers. I've been hit twice on my bank for $ 14.95 I called them 877-481-6826 and canceled. I'v seen articles wwere othes are still getting charged since Feb. If I get charged again Im going to start a bank investigation and contact my state rep.and cancel my bank card.

The number for cancelling your membership is in the FAQ. However, it has been disconnected. We finally reached someone from the number posted on this site, and after 20 minutes of them trying to get us to continue our membership, they finally said our membership has been cancelled, we will not be billed, and we will receive the famous cancellation email within 24 hours. So now we wait...

This is one of the worst things that I have ever done!! Free Credit Report and Free Score.com are complete rip offs!!! I called to cancel free credit report and i just opened my bill and it has charged me again plus an additional 24.95!!!! i called to cancel my free 7 day trial from free credit score.com and they said it was cancelled. Than on my bill I was charged 60.00 for some kind of protection plan that i never agreed to. Then they tried to tell me that I didn't call within my 7 days!! I told them that I wanted their fax # to send my phone records proving that i had called 5 days after applying for my 7 day free trial. u know what that man told me? "We don't care about ur phone records cause we are showing that you never called until today". BULL CRAP is all i have to say!!! I have proof so i can get my money back and they don't care!!

I was on the Customer Scoreboard for the first time using it and have ended up posting on 4 companies. One was very positive and the other 3 negative. Then I saw Free Credit Report. Free my a**! I tried to cancel this in the required time, and it was not done. Then I noticed it on my VISA account and was furious! After 4 conversations with 4 incompetent customer reps.- three more deductions from my account were taken before I was able to stop it with the help of my bank/VISA department. After a so called resolution (only because my bank helped), I was credited back all but 2 months. They got an extra month because of timelines. The commercial might be cute, but their fraudualant practices are not! STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE AND USE THE real free credit report you can get online that you are entitled to, and not pay for!

FreeCreditReport.com is horrible. They'll do anything to keep you from canceling your membership. I tried canceling about a year ago. The Customer Service Rep informed me I would no longer be charged. A month later I was charged $29 for a "Free" credit report that I never asked for, or even looked at. I called and was told by another CSR that she canceled my acct, but couldn't reverse the fee because "I agreed with the terms and conditions", which stated that if I canceled my acct, I would not be reversed any fees. Understandable, but what about the part where I tried to cancel it the first time? This happend a second time a month later, and I explained my situation to a manager. Same excuses. And without an apology the manager reversed half of one $29 dollar charge, and that was $90 dollars after I originally tried to cancel. Thanks alot FCR.com.

I find it hard to beleive that I cannot edit my billing address online or over the phone,but you can see my mother's maiden name but you cant see my address to my credit card that i used on many times.I dont have a problem taking my business some where else but something as simply as an address change cant stop you from renewing my membership.

these people are complete rip off's ! You can go to EQUIFAX.com & get your full credit report for free of charge, once a year. you can only access it free for thirty days free so be sure to print a copy of it for future records.

I called again and when they found out I wanted to cancel, they then said that the system is down. I called again and they thought I was a new customer so they went into my account and then they asked for my Social Security# I would not give it so I asked for my member ID# and she gave it. Now I asked them to cancel with a direct voice and to speak w/ sup. I finally got through to sup. Carol, her Id was 25718. She said it was cancel and she will fax confirmation. So far I have not received that fax.

I am trying to get them to stop charging my card. This web site is a joke, I visited it back in march and it did not even show me my credit report then!!! NOW, they have a charge pending on my debit card "which caused my vehicle insurance to not clear my card!" THANKS I went too FREE CREDIT REPORT.COM BEWARE ITS NOT FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i too had to call to get this rip off membership cancelled, and when i did they still tried to get me to keep the account i had to tell them five times i just want to cancell so stop tryin to get me to keep it. This web site is a joke.

I called to cancel my account today. I was told that I would receive a confirmation email within 24 hours. After 30 minutes, I received an email that stated thank you for continuing your membership. I called back and was told that I agreed to continue my membership for 50% off. That is a lie! Avoid this company at all costs!!!!!

BEWARE! If you ask for your $1 "free report" and don't read the VERY FINE print, you will be charged a fee of $14.95 for your 'membership'. American Express rep said this is an ongoing problem!

this is the biggest fraud,scam,money stealing ploy i have devder seen. I am getting the same run around on the phone !Not only until i threatened legal actions with my lawyer on the phone did i get some cancellation action... Who has 15.00$ a month for something they cannot utilize? well a lil threat never hurt any one right???

I just called to cancel my membership, and the guy on the phone tried to sign me up for a discounted package and didn't want to take no for an answer. Additionally, when he first picked up the phone, he was carrying on a conversation with someone else in the background and it sounded more like a party atmosphere than a call center.

If I don't receive an email confirmation stating that the service was terminated within 24 hours, I am going to call again.

I knew that there was supposed to be a way to get a free credit report and the name of this company caused me to enroll, but I immediately called the number listed to close my account and was told that it was closed. I have since received email from them about changes, etc. in my credit report and I have not opened them. Then I noticed the $14.95 charge to my credit card, monthly, since when I'm not sure. This is out and out fraudulent usage of the term "free credit report". And the claim that customers could call within a period of time to close is a lie. This company needs to be pursued by the law for fraudulent business practices.

I tried calling this company several times but was always put on hold for so long and never get a chance to connect with anybody. Today, I tried loggin in at their website and was prompted that my account has been suspended and yet when I checked my bank I was charged with the monthly bill of $14.95. The bank also prompted me to enter my credit card number in order to be able to log. I am currenlty disputing this with my bank. I used this website to check my credit report and was told that they needed a credit card number but it was not supposed to be charged since it is free for military for a one time use only? THIS IS DEFINITELY A SCAM!

I cancel on June 2009 and I was just billed on March 11, 2010. I called and they told me that I did not cancel the service??? And the could not bill me before because the transactions were incomplete? Iveth, the girl who answered me, told me I could not get a refund. This is a scam that have been going on for too long.
I am really dissatisfied with their service and way of doing business. I wil be sure to talk about this horrible experience to my thousand of clients I have a year.

I cancelled same day I signed up, two days later called their customer service to confirm cancelation, was told it was - yes cancelled, the next month I had 14.95 charged to my credit card. Again the next month same charge and was told 14.95 was none refundable oh and to top things off never received my credit report.

I have used FCR.com before and canceled w/o a problem. This year they made it hard for you to obtian theit contact information to cancel. They want you to slip up and forget so that they can make you pay for a membership that doesn't even work. The website right now says "To cancel your membership please call ". Notice the blank? That is because it was no where to be found anywhere on the website. Every where it should be they have left it blank.
