I Just called trying to set up a potential future credit account with them and it started out with the lady asking my first and last name. I gave it to her, then she asks for my phone number. I told her, she asks again. I tell her again, then she asks for my phone number again. I reply, that I just gave it to her 2x and the indian lady hung up on me!!!! like what the heck kind of service is this?! I have never delt with a company so rude!!

I purchased a mattress in July of 2008 from Mattress Firm in Katy, TX. I took advantage of the promotional 12 months,
No interest. However, I did not receive
my 1st paper statements until late September.
When I called GE Money Bank to ask what the delay was? they told me there was an issue with my home address number; it was missing one digit (#2135 instead of #21315). Therefore, it was retuned back to them as undeliverable. I made the correction over the phone and also made my 1st payment for this charge .I was assured by the GE Representative all we fine going forward. Henceforth, I proceeded make my monthly payments.
To my Shock when I received my January of 2009 Statement my promotional 12 months, No interest Rate went up to 29.99%.
When called I GE they told me that I had defaulted to 29.99%, because I broke the Credit Card Agreement when I missed the payments. I reminded them about the issue regarding them sending the bill incorrect address I was told it was not their fault; The Mattress Firm people gave us your address.
After speaking with several supervisors over a number phone requesting them to readjust my interest rate back to No interest, I became discouraged and gave up. I decided to pay off this DEBT ASAP and cancel my GE Credit when I made my last payment.
To my astonishment, when I received my statement August 2009, I was charged $302.24 deferred interest because I did not pay off the loan in 1 year. When I called GE to request they remove this penalty, they refused. I also told them I was GE Employ (at that time) and requested the name of their Comptroller and or Chief Financial Officer so I can contact them internally through the GE Global email network, which I had access to while working at GE, they then proceeded to mock me by saying it was Jeff Immelt. (CEO of GE), I was immediately disconnected.
When I called back, I could not get the same person because they would not give me a last name. I told them I am willing to pay off my account, but I am not willing to pay late charges, phone payment charges, and some of the interest when the fault does not lie with me. They told me if I don’t pay them they will turn me over their collections group.
I later tried settling the debt directly with the GE collection, but they refused my settlement offer of paying only the principle only.
Since then GE Money sold off my debt to 3rd party “zombie debt “collectors trying to recover a bogus balance of $758 dollars which includes $302.24 deferred penalty charges, late fees and 29.99 % finance charges
I believe that this GE Division is doing unfair business practices and I think a full investigation needs to be done on how often this happens with consumers.

I have tried to make an online payment for my Ashley Furniture account to GE Capital for 6 months. I was only able to make one payment when I first set up my account, after that, I keep getting login errors. Customer service is a joke. I will never do business with Ashley Furniture again and I will avoid financing through GE Capital form other companies.

GE refused to connect me with a live person. I have NO account with GE! They have sent me a request for information regarding a credit application I have not made. I wanted to tell them I want NO credit, and find out where the request came from. I went through about 8 prompts on this phone number, and kept receiving a demand for my account number or SS number, which I did not provide. So I NEVER got through to a live person.

Ge capital is a joke I get my statements every month with 1385 availib3 credit I go to make a purchase and some how my avalibile credit drops to 500 had them for 3 plus years never a late payment never a missed payment I het a call from my place of purchase after I had gone home to find this out what the heck?? Ate the statements wrong for the past year?!?!?!

Never in my life have I taken time to display negative feedback about a company. As a business owner myself I certainly understand it is impossible to please everyone. However, I now have 2 credit cards managed by this company and despite numerous phone calls, emails, attempts over and over, I "still" continue to receive incorrect, inconsistent, billing with $35late fees non stop. My credit rating is 800 and I never pay late. If I pay in store they do not record it. No matter what I do they charge me $35. I closed the card and thought it was a done deal. Don't even have the card and I now get a statement out of nowhere saying I owe a balance of like $35 late fees times 6. No clue why these companies allow this company to run their credit services. Horrible !!!!!!!!!!!!

They have been charging late fees saying the payment takes 8-10 days to reach them. I know USPS isn't what it used to be, but I always get things in 3 days from Florida. I believe they have a scam going. I refuse to use their card going forward.

I'm going through some BS with GE Money right now...unauthorized / unnecessary payments draft due to an INCOMPETENT Customer Service Rep...and now I have to F'ing WAIT on them to pull the F'ing conversation before any refunds can be processed. REALLY!!! Contacting an attorney to get my information (calls, payments...entire history) subpoenaed I refused to go thru this...OHHHHH and my account is almost paid off...HMMMM. okay PLAY with me!!!

The guy kept calling me and i anwser and hung up because i was busy with work. Then i answer for the heck of it. He told me that hes calling from GE Money Bank, i had ask if they had a website, he ddn't answer me. and ask if i want 5000 and up for a loan. I said ddn't answer and hung up. I try to look for the website of scam and rip reports. He called and i answer, i told him how he get my number. he said they are a GE money Bank. and if want the loan. I laugh and hung up. Professionals don't sound indian,i'm asian and i will know if an asian is trying hard to sound asian. Especially India!

My GE money line of credit account was closed within the last few months. It stated that it was not due to anything that I had done, they were just closing certain accounts. However, after reading all the comments about GE closing accounts, I'm beginning to wonder if there was another reason. I've been an excellent customer over the years always paying on time and I have a high credit score. I have read in other comments that when an account is closed but you are still paying on the remaining balance, it affects your credit score. Since I did not close this account but it was closed for me due to whatever reason, I'm hoping that does not affect my score. Can someone please answer why GE Money Bank is closing accounts?

I will preface the following by stating that my credit score is above 800.

I purchased an ATV in 2008 through a GE Money promotional finance offer. I was never late on a payment and paid my full balance off ahead of schedule in February of 2012. I have requested that the title be sent to me on numerouse occasions, but I haven't received it. I ask for the phone number to the title department, buy GE Money customer service keeps tell me that "They don't even have that number", and that the title should be sent in 2-4 weeks. It has now been 11 months. I would title the ATV myself, but I cannot do this without a release of lien from GE Money. You guessed it - the "Title department" handles lien releases. They are holding my property hostage and have no right to do so. I have read that many other consumers have had the exact same issue with GE Money. God help them if I ever decide to show up in person (Wherever they're located, probably Nigeria)... I WILL NEVER USE GE MONEY AGAIN.

I have been having issues logging into my account online at gogecapital.com. Every time I would enter my user name and password: 1) A box pops up asking if I want to add another account (an old one that I thought I closed years ago with 0 balance). I click "No Thanks" then 2) it brings me to a different Log In page. I enter my info AGAIN and the cycle repeats. I tried calling customer service to let them know and after 10 minutes of navigating through automated prompts that had nothing to do with my problem I FINALLY reached a human being and they informed me that "no one" has problems with their website. Not only have I been able to log in with no problems in the past, but today I also tried logging in on multiple computers so I know it isn't my computer. After spending 20 min on the phone the rep basically told me "sorry- the only thing I can tell you is to keep trying." I felt like I was treated as if I were an idiot and the lack of concern over their malfunctioning website concerns me. How am I (or anyone else for that matter) supposed to make online payments when I can't even log in?

I financed something through GE. When I got my first statement, it showed that I was over my credit limit. First, I did not have an account with them until I financed something. How can I be over the credit limit if this purchase was approved? To make matters worse, this was turned in to the credit bureau showing that I was over my limit. How can this be allowed?

The Customer Service Department is horrible. Along with being unfriendly, they must farm this department out to another country. I have not talked to one person that sounded American. Everyone I talked to had an accent so strong that I had to ask for them to slow down and repeat themselves over and over. Once my account is paid, I will never deal with them again.

I have been attempting to get in touch with someone that speaks English at this company. Every person I speak with uses such broken English that I do not understand them which is annoying. I finally got a supervisor on the line and she had no authority whatsoever to help my situation (broken English again!). When these people do not understand what I am saying they repeat themselves over and over which is useless. HIRE PEOPLE THAT SPEAK FLUENT ENGLISH!! Now I am not able to get onto their web site (their error). I've asked months ago to send paper statements which I've not received yet. My interest rate has been raised unbeknownst to me so of course, I owe more $$. This company is run so poorly,is inept and rude, I would never use them again. Maybe there will be a class action as it seems to me they will cross the line soon if they've not already. I've not ever encountered any business like this in all my years.

I cant belive this... so i purchased a new guitar with 18 months intrest free.. and i payed my 1st payment of 100$ and apperntly it was denied.. and they did not contact me or even email me and let me know that there was an issue it the transaction.. so i check the account 3 days before i could have gotten late fees and it said the tranaction was okay and 100 was taken off of my balance but when i looked into it further in small writing my payment was rejected.. so i called and made a payment throught the phone an luckily that DAY that i would have gotton late fees it went through correctly! the customer service agents were all telling me diffrent things and being super confusing in almost a scamming way.. i asked to be informed by email and phone call if this happend again... and now my account is not in the system anymore and i cant log into the account.. nor can i even recover my info with my social birthdate and questions because everything is invalid! even my account number is invalid!! what to do what to do!! hoping to have better experiances in the futer.. and HOPING to pay it off in time.. dang..

I've been paying off my card for 5 years, they kept raising the interest. I have missed my last 2 payments and tried telling them that I am in between jobs and that I will pay them in February because that's when I start my new job. Every time they have a collector call its a different person and different attitude, some get it, some are a-holes. After trying to pay off this card for the past 5 years and its the only debt I still have, I told them I needed more time, the customer service rep talked down to me and said "You need to pay your bills, that's how it works." I told him, OMG, you know what, send it to collections I'll take care of it with them, I don't want to deal with you guys anymore.

I will forever boycott everything I can by GE, I hope they all burn in hell.

Terrible- would never evr ever recommend this card. The Dentist said I had 18 month to pay and they chacnged my terms- The site to pay online is not accessable and then they hit you with huge late fees- they need to be investigated!

GE Capital is a rogue company.
Unfortunately someone stole my Identity at Walmart and spent $400 and guess who provided them with the credit to do it? Yes, GE Capital.
When speaking with Equifax about this they could see on my Credit Report that the Walmart transaction had my last name spelt incorrectly and an incorrect physical address. Equifax (another company that is a rogue) assured me that it would be dealt with accordingly. Today I've finally gotten back their feedback which states that GE Capital have provided additional information now which proves it's mine! How on earth did additional information come up when all the 10 times I've spoken to them they had no additional information and admitted that I was clearly not the person involved in this $400 purchase!
Rogues must perish!!!!

GE Capitol makes customers have to run like little rats whenever you get your R Us Reward dollars. Used to be able to save up 10.00 gift cards to buy big things for you kids, instead GE Capitol puts out 5.00 certificates with lots of exclusions and expire in a matter of weeks. Then they limit you to the dates on the rewards certificates so you can't save them up. People don't appreciate being told to shop for things when things aren't at a good price. Toys R Us now raised prices to full suggested retail whenever you get buy one get one x% off. No savings, and the rewards credit card makes shopping at Toys R Us almost worthless. Whats the big deal with giving gift cards or Rewards dollars that don't expire ! This card is gonna be cancelled soon, and forget ever having me as a GE Money customer ever. I don't appreciate the anti-customer changes you made to a credit card that was great to use. Chase treats you like a customer not a rat running to get your limited rewards. Don't get this card !

This Outfit is unscrupulous. They will over promise and under deliver. Anyone who does business with them will be unpleasantly surprised after the first transaction. One of the times I had dealings I was told one thing and it was false. The first time I ordered something with PayPal as the clearing house and wished to pay with my own credit card. I received a bill from GE Capitol. I asked why GE Capital was involved. they told me because I did not refuse the offer I have accepted the terms.

I have been receiving 15+ telephone calls per day, 7 days per week from (800) 945-6596 which has been traced to "GE Money". I have NO RELATIONSHIP with GE Money and even if I did and somehow owed them money, this amount of telephone calls is harrassment and is in violation of applicable laws. At this time I must demand that you Cease and Disist from calling (631) 968-8478 again. Continued calls will be met with legal action. Thank you.

Apparently, this made no difference to you as I have aleady received three (3) more calls from you today as follows: 9:08am, 11;17am and 11:43am.

I called on 1/4/2013 to pay off a promotional balance before the promotional period ended, so that I did not incur interest charges. I logged onto my account today only to see that the promotional balance remains, and the payment was applied to the overall balance, and not the promotional balance as I requested. Frustrated and angry, I called customer service. Then, I was told there was nothing they could do. I could make another payment, but it would only apply to the overall balance and not the promotional balance. Seriously...this is usury! I am trying to pay off the promotional balance before the promotional period ends, and I cannot do it. What the hell??
