I called GE regarding a Toys R Us credit card problem. I went through the whole menu and then was told in a recording that I could talk to a representative for a fee of $15.00. I paid the card, and then, cancelled the account and let them know it was because of this $15.00 fee.I then informed Toys R Us that I would no longer shop at their store because of this fee. Not one Christmas gift was purchased there this year nor will I purchase anything from them in the future.

We haven't had late fees tacked on *yet* but I'm trying to simply check on my statement, which of course is online to benefit them, and I can't login because their system keeps kicking me back to the login page. Not because I have the wrong info but because their system is wrong. Totally frustrating. I set up auto-pays so that we can pay it off in one-year but I would like to verify that we won't have some small balance when the year is up (coming soon). We are overseas for an extended period so I'm not really interested in calling and spending an hour on the phone with someone that cannot speak English or solve my problem.
Will never use this company again. Impossible to do business with and they clearly simply want to scam the customer. Don't plan on using them again.

Grotesquely incompetent.
Signed up for a Lowes CC a few months ago.
- First full online payment by me correctly applied but not 2nd one, sent back by their remittance department as unidentifyable
- discovered this by accident, so scrambled to make the payment through ACH on their site. 3 days later, even though i paid in full, my credit line is still not showing as restored in full, delaying my multi thousand dollar order
- when calling the customer service line, you have to first listen to your account balance and repeat about 2 times 'agent' to get someone on the phone.
- they don't accept email or scans as paymnent proofs etc but you have to send complaints or documents by snail mail.

I took part in a zero interest promotion for a year and charged $2300 on my Amazon card last December. I have made timely payments since then and literally had $500 left to pay on my account, which I was planning on paying off my January. I went to check on my account today and found out that I was charged $450 in "ACCRUED INTEREST" because I didn't pay the full amount by the deadline. I was under the impression I was only supposed to pay interest on the REMAINING amount. How could Amazon and GE do this?! This is not fair and Amazon and GE should have put this in bold red letters before having anyone sign up! BUYERS BEWARE!!!

Apparently I am not alone in my disgust with GE Capitol. Sam's Club Card is financed by them. I pay the card each month IN FULL, but each month am forced to change my password. After nearly a year of this frustration,I was able to reach GE Capitol "our system does not interact with Google Chrome" according to the Pakistani call center. "It is our system and you must use Explorer if you wish to pay online, if you are unhappy with our system you may close your account"I believe this is an attempt to extort finance charges and late fees by using this lame excuse for delaying payments. I scheduled my payment as soon as the ebill arrived on Dec 5th and as of Dec 21st it still has not posted. Will report GE Capitol to Sams Club Credit and request that they find another bank to use for financing.

Every single month we would make our payment yet it "would not go through" due to the bank. However, we use the same account and card number for all the other bills we pay with no problem. So where is this money disappearing to and why is this company the only one that doesnt seem to accept my payments? This has been the worst experience I have ever dealt with. I will never go through them again. EVER

Initially,I borrowed @ $358.00, the same hour, realized I needed a bit more and utilized @ another $236.00 to about$584.00. In the "promo period". By the time I was 1/2 way through the payments,my interest had almost doubled, bringing my total up to @ $648.00,now more than my initial loan. This happened three times until my "loan" total(mostly interest),was over $1300.00. I took out an insurance policy on it just in case the economy took a nose dive, and it did! They would not honor my default insurance(of over a year's payments)because my total hours worked were less than 30 per week (I was at 20-24 and collecting partial unemployment). That total is now stuck in limbo as an unpaid balance and has screwed up what credit I had left, bringing me to about 570. In pricipal,I "divorced them",now, they're angry and want their allimony payment. Watch out for the interest traps. It's a scam to get more money from you, quickly. They never gave me an option, except to send me a pretty RED overdue letter. Suck my big toe! "I'm done with you"!L.P.

GE Capital switched us to ebill without our knowledge or consent, and stopped sending paper bills. Without a bill we forgot to pay, and were 2 weeks late with a payment.

Beware, anyone who does business with GE capital -- there's a second trick they'll follow up with: after they switch you to ebill without your consent, they'll change your due date without a paper notice, and you'll be late without realizing it. When you "agree" to ebill -- whether you actually did or not -- you also "agree" to "checking online" yourself, on an ongoing basis, to see if your due date has changed. Like anyone would do that.

Do not believe any disingenuous statements GE Capital might make here in response to this: these are two tricks they are well known for doing, on purpose, to bump people to higher interest rates. Lots of credit companies did this stuff years ago -- only GE capital, that we're aware of, is still doing it.

Avoid GE Capital at all costs.

OK, I would like to echo my sentiments on GE Capital bank! OMG, the WORST company I've ever dealt with! Last January we got our Chevron bill and found that someone had fraudently used our credit card. We had our own charges on the bill as well as $100 charge at mini grocery marts in Los Angeles, at least 50 miles from where we live. We disputed the huge bill. From them on it became literally tens of calls back and forth. When you try to call customer service you have two challenges...the people are from India and it's very hard to understand their accents, coupled with the physical phone connection is so horrible. So you have bad connection coupled with bad accent. They act like robots and just keep repeating the same sentences. After sending the same fraud investigation paperwork three times over several months, we got the run around. Then they turned us over to Gen Pacs, a collection agency! Now I have the same type of people calling me from overseas, at my work, on my cell etc. We got a letter of "satisfaction" from teh fraud department. Unfortunately, the other parts of Chevron, GE Capital, nor Gen Pacs talk to them. We are up to about 25 separate conversations over the last year to try to clear this. Today they called and went thru the usual speil. The guy didn't listen to me and finally said I should call customer service at Chevron. I called Chevron and after 5 minutes on the automated system, finally got a human. She said the accont was locked and she'd transfer me to a department who could help. Guess where she sent me...to the collection agency that had just called me!! This has been going forever! I have a letter of satisfaction, yet now I'm getting monthly bills from Chevron AND THEY ARE ADDING LATE CHARGES NOW!!!!I'm ready to tear out my hair cuz it's a lost cause...but I bet it's affecting my credit! I don't even know where to turn at this point.

I recently applied for a credit card at the Amazon.com website. I just recently got the GE Money Bank card and realized they refuse to accept payments online and they force customers to pay a $15.00 "service charge" to pay the bill from their 800#. GE Money Bank is deliberately running this rip-off racket because this corporation are scam artists. I am going to pay off the balance due immediately and CLOSE the account and never do business with GE Money Bank again. No online payment options - what frickin' planet is this company on? GE Money Bank does this deliberately in order to scorch their customers for the $15.00 "service charge" to pay the bill with the 800#. I really do not feel comfortable paying credit card bills through the mail. Thieves break into mail boxes and get your credit card info to do identity theft. Also I have been socked with late charge fees by credit card companies when I mailed the payment 10 days before the due date. I don't think postal mail is a reliable way to pay bills. I don't want to be a customer of GE Money Bank if they refuse to accept online payments.

The bill I got in the mail states their website is www.amazon.com/storecard. This is only the link to APPLY for a credit card with them for an Amazon.com credit card. I think it is highly deceptive to let a new customer such as myself believe I could pay at that website address - then I realized as soon as I tried the link that they don't even offer online payment option.

It stinks.

It stinks on ice.

I am done.

Stick a fork in me, I am done!

Screw GE Money Bank - I'm paying the balance off and cancelling their stinkin' credit card!

BTW - I have good credit rating, but they charge exorbitant 27% interest. This is right next door to loan sharking.

The 800# call center is in India and they are incompetent and just keep repeating everything you told them back to you. I called the 800# several times and was disappointed in how incompetent the staff is. It took four phone calls just to get basic information.

To sum it up my account got screwed up when TJ Maxx changed from Chase to GE Capital. I had no idea that this co. prossesing had changed because I never recieved a card from GE. My bill is paid through bill pay. Three payments were sent to Chase and because again I had no idea that my card prosessing had changed hands. After hours and hours and days and days, I got on a conference with Chase, GE capital and my bank. We all agreed that was the case.Chase credited the 3 payments to GE. All was well....Nine months later GE sends a notice with my billing that says (no kidding)we forgot to bill you for some purchases??? THE SAME amount was credited to GE 9 months ago!!! NOW... two weeks of calling GE everyday they tell me they never rec'd the money and said that the money was refunded to me directly. My bank has all the transcripts of the phone calls that were made regarding this matter. The customer service rep today asked me send my bank statements for the past nine months! (Are they kidding)I am really beginning to think that there is some inside scam going on at GE Capital. My bank has faxed them the information twice, including today of the entire phone conversation and monetary transaction happened 9 MONTHS AGO!! Nobody has any clue what is going on, I'm just being lied to-flat out. The customer service rep today said that they mailed me letter on Monday to explain what is going on. I won't hold my breath. In any case they record phone calls and so do I. I also have every single call, rep name, ID number (Name and ID # in my opinion are a lie too) and date and time that I have called. I also have every piece of documentation from my bank about this transaction. At best this is complete and total incompetance, and at worst this is sounding alot like wire fraud and and inside scam perpertrated by GE Capital and their employees acting as agents on their behalf. I see on some of these complaints that someone named Nicole answers alot of them. ??????? At this point I am sooo distrusting of GE capital that I am going to close the account and possibly put a lien on GE. I am also going to contact TJ Maxx, the FTC, and anybody and everbody else I can think of. Just look at this website. Over 5,000 disgruntled customers. All we can do folks is contact the FTC, your State Attorney General and spread the word. GE Capital hates it's customers.

GE money bank is cheating customers and can not be reached by phone and internet. Don't trust its promotional term through HHGreg and amazon of purchase electronics.
They are playing internal financial system and change numbers whatever they want to generate interests for them from customers. Never touch GE capital. It is a deep trap.

Its amazing how many others are just as dissatisfied with GE services as I am. first let me explain. I never signed up to have a credit card with GE. I had a Chase toys r us credit card for a long time, and suddenly I found out that they switched companies over the summer. GE never sent me any notification in the mail, never sent me a replacement card, and the only reason that I knew of the switch was when I tried to pay my bill online, my access was denied. I was promised in the summer that GE would send me my replacement card by GE since the company was no longer Chase's card. Fine. So I waited and a couple months went by. It didn't seem like a big issue at the time and I suddenly realized that they still did not send me my card. I tried to pay my bill online and it still would not let me. Then one time, I tried to pay my bill over the phone and the automated service told me that they would charge me a fee of $15 to pay my bill over the phone! That was it. I hung up and waited through several automated voices to speak to customer services. I was told that they sent me a new card, but I never received it. So they told me they would re-send me the cards. Fine. Time goes by, and my card still works even though it says Chase and has the same card #, so I got fed up and just let it go. What else was I to do? This was the SECOND time GE failed to send me a new card. Well, over the weekend my husbands card cracked and mine was denied at a store I shop at frequently. So I called GE R'us Card services AGAIN. The company is terrible. I'm transferred to different people several times, and I'm told that I must wait until Monday to receive my card now (assuming it comes THIS TIME). I'm not able to use my old card and I was expecting to do online shopping at the very least during the holiday weekend. I've been forced to wait over 6 months, being denied access at local stores, and now GE is punishing me but not allowing me to continue using my current credit card number until my new card arrives. When I tell the representative that I'm very aggravated and feel I should be compensated, the best she can do is offer me $30. What a joke! They can't send me my card in the mail 3 times in a row, but they know how to send my bill in the mail EVERY month. And if I'm late paying my bill, they will nail me with fees...but if GE screws up several times, they offer me a one time $30 credit onto my account. What an insult! I do not plan to stay with GE much longer. Paying off my debt and shopping for a new car...The company further charged me $15 just to speak to a customer service representative. They have an automated message that says this right before you have to pay your bill, if you need to speak to someone! TERRIBLE! SHAME ON YOU GE!!!!

GE Capital,

In May of 2012 I paid off and closed my account with your company. Two days later I called your company to inquired about the status of my account, I wanted to make sure my account was closed and that there were no outstanding charges. When I called one of your costumer service representatives reassured me that my account was completely paid off and closed therefore there were no any other charges. However, during the summer I received an email regarding a balance on my account. I immediately took action and contacted costumer service to inquired about the balance on my account. When I called a representative told me he saw my account was closed but still had a charge of about $20.00. I was shocked to learn I had a balance on my account. Nevertheless, customer service transferred my call to one of your supervisors. When I spoke to the supervisor I explained to him that my account was paid and closed back in May. I as well explained to him that I was told that there were no other outstanding charges present on my account. He said he did see that on the record, but it was showing I still had a charge on my account. Nevertheless, the  supervisor said he was going to waive the charge on my account. I was content and thought the issue was resolved.
Recently I checked my credit score and I was very upset to found out GE Capital reported a $32.00 90 day late payment. My credit score has been dramatically impacted due to this error. In order to reinstate my credit score i was advise to request a letter from your company stating how the late payment from GE Capital is a company error. Again I immediately called your company to resolve this issue. This time when I called I asked to speak to a supervisor. I explained to the supervisor that there should be no charges on my account, he said he could not help me and needed to speak to collections department. He transferred my called to collections. When speaking to one of the representatives, I was told again about the charge on my account. I explained again the same thing I had explain to the supervisor. He told me he was going to waived the charges and mail me a letter that states there was a company error therefore there were never any late payments.
After all the calls I have made I decided to write here and sned emails to make sure I receive the letter from your company. I need a letter that states there were no late payments and it was a company error. I need to send the letter to the credit agencies in order to reinstate my credit score. This is an URGENT matter, I know your company probably do not care about how this has affected my life but it definitively has affected my life in many ways.

The calls seems to have just started yesterday morning. Continued all day from so many numbers, almost hourly. Saying my loan was approved. Could barely understand the man but asked repeatedly to remove my number from his list. He said okay but I need your first and last name. I said no you dont't, he said yes I do. I kept repeating myself and so did he. It was like talking to a toddler. So I couldn't tell what he was saying but I thought he said "G.E. Money Bank". So I googled it this morning because the calls started again. All day yesterday I thought the company name sounded familiar but just couldn't think of what it was. So when I came to this site someone in another comment mentioned Walmart and it hit me...that's why it sounds familiar!! I have a Walmart pre-paid VISA and I have part of my paycheck put on it. Well after the dozens of calls they just lost a customer.

I left a comment on 11/13/12 regarding excessive calls on an acct where payment was due 11/4/12 and had received upwards of 20 calls. 11/13/12 made arrangements to pay off the bal of around 433.00 which will post to my acct on 11/16/12, was given a confirmation # and after having done that, still received calls that same day. Absolute harassment over a late payment. They call you 5-6 times (they don't even answer when you answer, it's often a recording) every day until you pay, even if you're only a week late with a $60 balance. You can't pay online via debit card (like any other credit card company who realizes that it's 2012), which is highly inconvenient. I am keeping my account, but I will only be using it for small purchases as I am so put off by this company that I refuse to give them any sizable business.

Thanks to GE Capital/Conns, my once perfect 800's credit score is in the 500s. First, I changed a bank account number in the GE Money homepage to a different account. Turns out, the account number was 'invalid' not sure how, but it was according to Customer Service (I cannot verify as GE MONEY website doesnt let me see the account number).. Eventually, I figured out that I was 90 days late.. Which was reported to my credit. I never knew it was behind until it was too late (via a letter in the mail). Bam, reported to credit agency's and there goes my credit. I promptly paid the outstanding balance bringing my account current. They did not, and vehemently REFUSED, to pull back the negative credit reporting. It was a perfect storm of info not reaching me, it was not that I didn't have the funds or didn't want to pay.. Well there goes the score credit I worked so hard for... Then today, I noticed that conns sucked out $776 from my checking account!!!! Not only is my credit JACKED now I cant pay mortgage as I do every 15th of the month!!! and guess what?!?! today is the 15th!!!!! You have to be kidding me! I called Ge Capital customer service and they pointed out that I selected "statement balance." Which is a bit misleading.. In that, 'Statement Balance' actually means ACCOUNT BALANCE! Furthermore, I didn't even select 'Statement Balance.' I simply selected another checking account in GE Money website to make up for the previous "invalid account number" fubar. Turns out that GE Money DEFAULTS to this 'Statement Balance' setting on its own!!!! So, I digress.. GE Capital Customer service states that they could 'mail me a check' within 7-10 business days.. Lot of good that does, I'M GOING TO BE LATE FOR MY MORTGAGE WHICH IM ALWAYS ON TIME FOR!!! I knew that buying this TV on credit was a bad idea.. I should have listened to my intuition to 'buy with cash'.. But I didn't.. Well here I am.

I totally understand the frustration. When you answer there is a delay and then a recording and it does not specify an account and when you call back, same deal, recording saying put in your acct number, etc, (what if you have more than one acct and in my case what if the acct you finally figure out they are calling about is for a furniture loan that is past due since 11/4 and they have been calling since 11/10. Called 11/13 and set up payoff for 11/16 on entire bal, got a confirm from Indian guy and have received 2 calls after I did that yesterday and have received 3 today (so far) This is retarded and I am so glad that 11/16 mine will be paid, This department of yours is ridiculous and I will NEVER EVER do business with GE again.

SCAM "Fixed Payment/No Interest Promotion"; mine was from Sleepy's, 36 mos. Bought bed using this financing; why not with 0% interest. Signed up for auto pay at purchase so all payments taken directly from our checking account and on time. The scam is that the payments are purposefully designed by GE to be insufficient to repay the loan within the promotion time. So, the promotion expired ($2,000 princ remained) and "deferred interest" (over 25% apr on the entire amount) was added to our balance (about $7,000)! It's all there in the fine print, so we are stuck. We're the suckers. Call us stupid if you like; GE is. Just hope this comment helps save others. I gave them a 10 for Product/Service Knowledge. They know exactly what they are doing. It would have made Bernie Madoff proud. Nothing I can do but continue to post 002 this to warn others.
