My Hitachi fridge (2 door 300 Ltr) broke down on 9th June. Did registration of against my mobile no. . Later, copied the same and posted to Hitachi customercare.



Talked to helpline for 4 days. Received assurances - but no action. The telephone no. provided for Agra office was found in the "Does not exist" category. After repeated attempt, could get the number of Lucknow office of Hitachi who provided the mob no. of Agra office. The serviceman came after 3 days. Checked and said some spare needed which will come from Gujarat. The spare did not arrive. After repeated attempt, he procured something - but that did not work. After repeated follow up. some spare came from NOIDA. After 22 days, he pronounced that the Compressor is not working.



In the mean time, repeated request for providing a working fridge till repair of my fridge fell on a deaf ear.



Now I am contemplating of moving to Consumer courts. What I have understood is - NEVER BUY ANY HITACHI PRODUCT. I stay in an affluent township where I do have some say. I will at least ensure that none of my known people buy Hitachi appliances ever.

I do not know who will be receiving this email and what your responsibilities are. But in last 4 days
I came to know that this company is running automatically.
I have purchased 1.5 tones Hitachi Window A/c from Yadav Electronics, Mahipal pur, New Delhi on 6th June, 2014.
On 9th June, 2014, I logged a complaint for no cooling to Hitachi customer care. The customer are executive told us that it will take 48 hrs to resolve the problem. On our regular follow ups with Hitachi,
But till now nobody will come. I’m suffering from troubles. And regular I’m touch with customer care but every time they will repeat their words it will take 48 hrs to resolve the problem
It’s been 4 days only; we have purchased the A/c and are facing so much problem with Hitachi.
I’m sure that & I told to my friends and people

Please never go for any product of Hitachi in India, the service is very bad and talk to customer care representative is just waste of time even there is no way to escalate your problem; nobody is there to look into your problem. If you will try to call service center nobody will pick your phone, yes they can just give you one thing "False Commitments" only. So please beware of Hitachi.

I had purchased a Hitachi Kaze plus 1.5 T split AC, rom Digi world Janakpuri New Delhi on 3rd May. The product did not worked properly even for 2 days , I brought this in notice of Dealer but he refused to help asking to contact Hitachi, I registered a complaint with Hitachi customer care in 15th of may 2014 but it is not attended till date. Again I registered fresh complain but the same result , no one bother to address customer complaints.

It seems Hitachi is only concerned with selling products.

Very poor after sale service , even after several reminders no one bothered to address the complaint.

Very poor after sales service and customer care is even more worse as they have no updates about the ticket status, wait time is between 5-6 mins.

I learnt my lesson. Never ever buy Hitachi...cannot even contact their customer support center. AC is not working for the past one week and I could not even contact their customer care.

We broke our new Hatachi camcorder, our fault so we could not, in honesty take it back to the retailer. We could not find anywhere to get in fixed so, emailed Hatachi Customer Service 3 times over a few weeks asking for a suggestion of where we could get in repaired. No responce at all. We wrote to the head of Hatachi at their head office giving then back the camera as it was of no use to us. The package was returned unopened we sent it back they returned it again with rude comments on the outside of the package.

Hi I recently purchased the NV90AG 3.5''
coil nailer and it works great.but I am having a problem with the copper wire hitting me in the face (the copper shoots into my face and makes me bleed over and over. Im attaching facia boards over my head, can a shield be put in place or something. I wouldn't even consider using this thing without eye protecting

I purchased an Hitachi cordless drill Model no DVD 14 ODCL2 -DV 18DCL2 in dec 12 from B &Q. Unfortunately the charger has just packed up and will not charge the batteries.
This I feel in unsatisfactory. The drill has only been used for occasional DIY. B & Q are obviously not interested due to it being over 12 months old.

I would appreciate if someone from Hitachi would contact me with advice regarding this matter.

I solicit your immediate attention to investigate my complaint in reference to the entire committed Tax fraud by Hitachi Company. the Hitachi Company Chennai Officials indulged in lodging false Police Complaint against me in which the Hitachi Company Officials had clearly quoted my written complaint to the ISO QAR who had turned deaf ears towards my complaint related to the heavy tax fraud committed by the Hitachi.



Now it throws light that the false Police complaint was lodged only to bury the Central Excise tax fraud committed by the Hitachi Company.



In case if you continue to show negligence to initiate action against Hitachi Company I am to assume that the false complaint without evidence was lodged only upon your instruction.



Hence I finally request you to remove the ISO QAR certification to find the actual tax loss to Central Excise, though the Hitachi Company had sold more than 5lacs units without paying tax to the Central Excise Tax which is found to abundant tax fraud committed among the Air condition manufacturing company, so kindly initiate appropriate measure against the Hitachi after the receipt of this letter unless or otherwise your also hold responsibility for the entire distress and mental agony created to me by the Hitachi Company and subsequently indulged in selling Hitachi brand A/c units without paying Central Excise Tax that created several Crores loss to GOI, and thereby your ISO QAR functioning is found to be suspicious for shielding the Hitachi Company's committed Tax fraud in India that attract Serious Fraud Investigation.



Kindly intimate me the about action initiated against the Hitachi Company for the above said huge committed Tax fraud to Central Excise at the earliest onus the delay rests on you and you hold liability for the entire tax suppression of Hitachi to GOI and for harassing victims like me by lodging false Police Complaint and for forgery in sale, thereby I am deem fit to approach the accreditation body of ISO QAR and your also responsible bound for legal action arise thereafter.

Hitachi Company default in refund that created abnormal distress to me!






In continuation to my earlier complaint subsequently your non responsive character determines a major flaw in the system.



After I had lodged several complaint to the ISO QAR had turned with deaf ears, under this circumstances I've had received a call from Hitachi's Chennai Asst.Manager Service, Mr. Satish who had stating that they are willing to remove the defective ac machine from my home after refunding the agreed amount, wherein Mr. Satish, visited my home today to remove the defective ac machine and started the process of removing the ac machines indoor and outdoor unit.



Later I am shocked to know the fact that Mr. Satish, had approached us only with the copy (xerox-copy)of the DD amount of Rs 37.800/- towards the refund, Mr. Sathish also stated that the company will send the original DD after the defective ac machine reaches their go down, is seems to be clearly misleading and breach of law in force and your Hitachi Company is trying to move the defective machines from my premises without refund throws light on their worse character and their motive behind this refund cheating is spotted out with ample of evidence the Hitachi Company is trying to lift the defective machine without refund for the reason I had pointed out the major conspiracy of more than 5LACS units illegally passed out without paying Central Excise duty, that falls under the preview of "Serious Fraud Investigation of India".



Therefore I invite your kind attention to investigate the irregularities and conspiracy of tax fraud and Hitachi Companies tactics of cheating a customer like me onus the delay rests on you and Hitachi company, I am thereby deem fit submit a separate complaint to concern Higher authorities of Central Excise and Serious Fraud Investigation to investigate the tax fraud, it is a clear flaw in the system of ISO QAR that your not willing to come out and prove it in black and white regards to the tax fraud committed by the Hitachi company hence I am to subsequently approach the appropriate forum for the mental agony and distress caused to me.





I am waiting for the accreditation contact details of the ISO QAR for suspicious, unsound and non response attitude of ISO QAR.

Awful. I have never bought a worse appliance nor experienced such utterly irresponsible service to fix broken machinery which was sold to us virtually broken. After two months of use our new Hitachi washing machine quit working. We went to the dealer and the dealer complained to us that she had just fired her service staff for incompetence and that we would have to wait before she sent anyone out. It didn't make sense to us why she was hiring and firing service staff. Anyway, after one month we called her and she said sorry, she still had no one she could send to fix our washing machine.Totally ridiculous. I decided to try and go to Hitachi directly and had my wife call and talk to them, no mention of previously trying to fix the machine. They told us we would have to wait awhile as their service personel were very busy. I'll bet, given the junk we and everyone else is being sold. After one month, still no action, we called them and same excuses. A month later, I had completely forgotten about the problem and on the day I was expecting the internet repair to show up and fix the internet shut down, Hitachi arrives. I began showing them my computer and the internet problem and they sat there saying nothing and smiling. I went on for over five minutes about the internet when the guy asks me where my washing machine is. Excuse me? My washing machine? What does that have to do with anything? "We are from Hitachi." They go in have a look, and they say they have to order some new part and we will have to wait until the part arrives. Two months later, nothing. A week ago my wife called and they said, "Oh, we are too busy to go out there." They refused to give a time when they would come out. Another woman in our village has the same problem. Her new Hitachi washing machine soon broke after she bought it. She has given up. A friend of a family member reported the same problems with a Hitachi washing machine. They took ages to fix it and it promptly broke again a few weeks later. She gave up and bought an LG machine at half the price and she has had no problems. Don't buy anything that Hitachi makes, this comany's days are numbered, they clearly are taking the piss.

HI, i am praveen kalra and i bought a refrigerator model no. r-zg470end1 with a grosss volume 451 and storage volume of 395 ltrs.
after a month of purchase i saw accumulation of excessive ice in the freezer compartment. i made a complaint to the related service centre and attending personnel gave me a very vague answer that this was due to the moisture in the atmosphere due to which there is excessive accumulation of ice and i should clean the freezer and run it on a slower mode and wait and watch. Though i was not satisfied yet i thought of giving it a chance.

after a few days of cleaning the same problem was being noticed and i again made a complaint to this regard. this time the same person attended the complaint and gave a statement that when the refrigerator door is closed the freezer door tends to open and due to this a gap remains and hence the moisture from outside enters the freezer compartment leading to this problem. he also told that this is the problem with this particular model and hence while closing the refrigerator door i should make sure that i push the freezer door so that the problem doesnot occur. i was astonished on listening to this statement and asked him to sort out the problem as i was not satisfied with his suggestion of closing the door again and again. Yesterday i.e. on 16.7.2013 he visited and added some packing to the freezer door. now everytime i close the refrigerator door the freezer door opens and closes on its own. is this the kind of quality you are providing to your customers wherein to sort out a problem another problem is being created. The local service center at Ghaziabad have closed my complaint but i am not at all satisfied with this kind of arrangement made by the service personnel. I request you to look into the matter urgently and please also let me know why i should not go in the consumer forum for sorting out my problem.

Good product, terrible to non existent customer service.
Bought a drill that came with 2 li-ion batteries. after 2 charges, one battery is dead, won't hold a charge.
When a battery won't take a 3rd charge, that is a factory defect, period.
1 month out of warranty, Hitachi, in the person of Michelle Carlisle, told me tough luck, go buy a new one.

Not. I'm done with all things Hitachi, from my tv to my power tools.

i am Kewal krishan Saini and i purchased 1.5 ton Hitach Split A/C on 3/7/2012. The unit is not working satisfactorily since installation. I have lodged the complaints three times including twice this season. The complaint is not attended satisfactorily and the a/c is not working properly as there is no cooling. I there fore want the company to depute some expert mechanic to ensure that A/C starts functioning properly. OR change the unit. In case the issue is not resolved i have to look for legal remedy. i purchased the machine from m/S Anil Radio new Delhi

Acc. to deal,the complain should be attend and solved with in one week but still not getting any response after my following up(10-12 calls everyday).

I stay at Noida Sec 41, we have 1.5 ton Hitachi window ac, 10 days back wen it was not cooling properly we contacted hitachi (Request no- ) and got Gas refilling(for Rs 2450/- with 3 months Warrenty )as per advised by hitachi engineer named Mr. Shahrukh, but later in night we found it was not cooling again and next morning we contacted Hitachi( 10-15 calls and a rude female who just put down the phone as she was not interested even though it was company's faulty service and they should have given us some priority)),then after making many calls we were told we will get solution in 8 hrs (Request no-) which again passed and nothing happened,next day finally after huge hue n cry we got an engineer named Mr. Adnan Khan who checked the temp. for over 40 mins and said it will cool surely, and was sure that our AC is fine even it was showing temp of 27 when AC was on set. 18, than he said he can only arrange a visit by some Senior person as he failed to satisfy us...and now we are waiting for that visit. And in this hot summer we are struggling with our AC that it might get ok on its own.



Hope somebody in Hitachi is actually reading this mail and would act fast.

I was customer for a/c 2 ton a/c They dint do the service at all. After few complaints, they once did it but the next day the motor of outdoor unit was not working. If i ask for the same, they say it is out of stock. It is too hot and they are not even giving what we demand. half lakh spent but waste of money.

I am Umesh Kumar from Hodal near Babri mod Sushant Enterprises Hodal Bharat Gas Agency i, I have purchased 1.5 ton Hitachi window ac o there is some gas leakage problem. I had complained on same date at 02/05/2013 17.30 pm at night my complaint Registered Bharat Electronic Hodal but till now problem is not resolved by them after 4 days . Many times for resolutions but the staff of Hitachi is worst in world in service even they have no manner to talk consumers. I had faced 4 days of heated Hodal temperature 36-40 degree and very frustrated and harnessed by the Hitachi. Now I decided to go to consumer court. The services executives not even bother to serve.
I firmly recommended to all of u please for God sake never buy Hitachi products. This is the worst company i have ever used products.
I need to talk and want answer and what were my faults in this matter except I choose Hitachi. Is there anyone who can escalate this complaint to MD, CEO of the company?
Or the whole organization has no values in serve to consumers.

I have purchased a 1.2ton Hitachi split AC from Great Eastern Trading Company, Sreerampore branch on 03/03/2013. The AC has been installed on 21/03. The AC is not providing any cooling. The service centre at Sreerampore is saying that they will not provide any service since that machine has been installed by someone else. But those men were sent by the dealer since I did not call anybody for installation. They took Rs. 2500 for installation and Rs. 900 for 24 ft drainage pipe and did not deliver any money receipt. In the scorching heat of end March the expensive air conditioner has become a show piece.
Nnothing has been done till date i.e. 10/04/2013. Today I called the Srirampore service centre again. They are asking to report to the dealer, The Great Eastern Trading Company, Srirampore Branch or the head office of the service centre. Since they have not done the installation they are not interested in providing the service. The numbers from which calls were made for the installation are saying that they are masons, tailors etc. I don't know how they could get my phone number. But the customer care executive told me from their record that Ramprasad Gupta had done the installation.
