I bought a car stereo in March 2010. It suddenly just stopped working in May. I contacted JVC customer service. After 8 phone calls trying to get to the correct department, I was told to drop the stereo off at a local service center. When I contacted the service center, they told me that they were actually located several hundred miles away.
I called JVC back and they informed me that I was misinformed and that I should drive to the address that they had listed for the repair shop. I did. Nobody there. I AGAIN called JVS. The representative indicated that he would notify a supervisor and that I would be contacted via phone. That was 3 days ago.
Six email, at least 10 phone calls and a wadted trip to a non-existent repair shop. JVC clearly does not wish to honor their warranty. I have thrown the unit away and purchased a Sony.
Stay away from JVC.

I have bought several jvc products and never had a problem until I bought their touchscreen dvd/cd car unit.Upon having this problem I contacted there customer support via email and just have to say that my 5 year old daughter could have read the manual and told me more!!!Then every additional reply is recieved by a different 'email specialist' even when you reply to the reply.And to make things even more frustrating they keep asking you for more personal information even though I entered every required field when requesting support in the first place.I even brought that up and was told that the extra info was needed for my file to better help me....what the f**k??? As I write this I am still waiting on my fifth reply and can only hope it contains information on how to actually fix the problem. Rubbles 4/13/10 5:03PM

MY FRIEND USED TO WORK FOR JVC IN MCALLEN TX. THE ONLY CALL CENTER THEY HAVE. THEY ARE THE WORST AT CUSTOMER SERVICE! THEIR REPS ARE DUMB AND LAZY! NOBODY GOES TO WORK! THEY ARE ALWAYS ABSENT FROM PARTYING! THAT IS WHY THE HOLD IS SOOO LONG! THEN REPAIRS TAKE FOREVER BECAUSE THEY ONLY HAVE 2 FACTORIES OPEN IN THE ENTIRE US! U WILL NOT GET YOUR PRODUCT REPAIRED QUICKLY. IT WILL TAKE MONTHS AND MONTHS!! SO IF U LOVE THE PRODUCT YOURE BUYING THEN BUY IT FROM A COMPANY THAT HAS GREAT WARRANTY. AND BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE! I bought a digital camcorder in 2007. Circuit City skipped town and don't even exist anymore. I can't copy or e-mail any of the videos I recorded so I can't share and JVC said to call Cyberlink (the makers of the editing software) but they are unreachable. We lost the battery to the camcorder somehow and we can't seem to find anyone willing to help us get a new one, or at least a correct new one. My mother Purchased JVC Everio camcorder.She misplaced the disk and the camcorder is not recognised by my computer without the software. JVC doesn't have the software on the internet and wants ANOTHER 30.00 for a replacement disk.I will not be purchasing anything from JVC and will discourage anyone doing business with this company. What consumer electronic company doesn't have a tech support phone number available? 'If you really feel like it, fill out this convoluded form online and maybe it'll get to us.' These people are a joke. My TV has been broke for five months and now they've finally decided to send me a replacement. However, they sent it to the Boston service center instead of Indianapolis. They promise to call you back but never do and are not very apologetic. I'll never buy another JVC product again. civicgirl5 2/24/09 8:46AM
