i have lexmark printer that i cant use.i cant locake tech support for help. my computer tech tell me my printer drive need updating.i have window 8.1 printer not drive wont work.need someone to call me.i cant get tech support. and i need my printer.#216-561-2208.

Calling the Lexmark UK telephone number to get support on a printer problem with the S405 which I have had since I bought it, I used 0207 365 249 612. On EVERY option of this phone service, it reverts to telling you that there is electronic support online. There is NO access to the technical support promised at all.

I am horrified! Lexmark used to be a good company and I bought a couple of printers on the strength of it. What happened?

So - now I have a few boxes of unopened costly cartridges, a completely useless printer, and a complete loss of faith in the company! Time to go and buy a competitor printer I think!

I returned 13 ink cartridges last month and called to follow up on the status. Lexmark customer service claims that they do not see any items returned for my account. With the recycle rewards program, they were to send one cartridge for every 5 returned. This program is now closed and customer service is not offering any assistance. Program appears to be a scam. Cartridges were returned in envelopes that were initially provided by Lexmark. This was a waste on my time.

I attempted to have a issue with my printer fixed 4 times. The first time I was transferred 7 different times, then put on hold and then hung up on. The second time I was told they are not sure what to do, transferred and hung up on. The after an hour of being on the call the customer service representative told me to go back to Staples and have them resolve my issue. I went to Staples and was told it is a manufacturing problem and Lexmark should have handled my problem. I called the forth time and was transferred to 3 different people the final representative asked me the problem, I had to tell him the same information over ten times. Finally after almost an hour I said "Thanks for NOT helping me" I am just going to trash my Lexmark printer and purchase and new one....NOT a Lexmark model" and to have a good day.

I am ASTOUNDED at the Lexmark "business model" that obviously does NOT encourage any form of customer loyalty to the brand AT ALL.

1. I have recently purchased a new laptop running Windows 8.1.
2. installed my printer disc to connect a perfectly good P4350 model Lexmark ink-jet printer to it.
3. For about a week or so it worked fine - one or two glitches in formatting but nothing bad.
4. After getting a few automatic Windows updates for my laptop the printer functionality no longer worked - most bizarre but kept getting error message that the "printer port" was not correct and needed re-configuring and Lexmark's printer prompt solution was to download & install new driver. THIS WAS THE BEGINNING OF THE END.!!
5. After about 20 attempts to download & install new driver - the printer still didn't work.
6. Eventually rang - yes rang Lexmark (big mistake) and was told that:
(a) Lexmark don't have a driver that makes their printer compatible with Windows 8.1.
(b) Lexmark don't make ink-jet printers any more.
(c) There is no simple "fix" to connect my printer and get it to run - even though the downloaded driver shows all the functionality etc.

So WHY does Lexmark's system not tell customers that Windows 8.1 is not compatible instead of offering a driver fix - which then doesn't work.

The conclusion is that:
I am now going to have to either buy a new printer when I already have a good and practical one, or connect my printer to my old laptop and email everything I want to print to that HOW STUPID. when I am sure Lexmark must have a plethora of IT gurus' who could write a quick "fix" programme to remedy the connectivity to Windows latest update.

If anyone knows of an IT "fix" out there PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

I was surprised to find you have no record of the cartridges I have returned to your rewards program. To date, I have sent at least 30 cartridges for recycling, which would have awarded me at least 3 ink cartridges.
I have a Pro715 and have been surprised at the amount of ink I have used. Please advise as to what I need to do to have you record my returned cartridges.

Worst printer (I have had two of different series) I ever owned- no wonder you got out of the printer business. It worked well for a few days and it was nothing but trouble ever since, after troubleshooting, cartridge replacements (original ones), etc. I made my final call TO CUSTOMER SERVICE since then with no satisfaction. I've tried calling them on several occasions and no matter what they give you the run-a-round ( I'm a customer, not a stupid one. You represent the Company to take my money for the printer I bought). When I requested that you replace the printer with one of equal value and style and replace the ink for the type needed by the new printer, you refused, after several contacts I made to you.

Do you like that your new suit from Gucci had a big mess? Then when you complain about it they tell you "Wait Mr. Rooke, I get right now a dressmaker to solve the trouble". No, I believe you won't want the courtship. is the same problem with, I buy a new product not a refurbished one.

I will never buy another Lexmark product and tell people the same thing.

I have a Lexmark printer. I was having trouble printing and called customer support. After being on hold for 40minutes they told me there would be a fee for there assistance. I will be buying a new printer instead of giving them more money and will never buy lexmark product again. Also will never recommend their products to anyone. TERRIBLE SERVICE AND BAD PRODUCTS!

Do not buy a Lexmark printer and this you will have any type of customer support, i have been waiting on the technical number now for 1:25 min. this is border line ridiculous. i will be returning the printers purchased for our company and going with a different brand. Absolute Crap

The ink cartridges are Lexmark are so expensive and you cannot refill them. What a waste I liked Lexmark up until now. I will never buy another one. What a shame does all it is asked very well except print.

I have just purchased brand new Lexmark black and color cartridges from Lexmark. Amazing that now the printer keeps telling me I have a cartridge error. Remove the paper from the cartridge. Really? I am so frustrated with this Lexmark printer I am ready to burn it. I bought new ink cartridges because it kept telling me there was an issue with the other ink cartridges. I went through 3 ink cartridges. I spent 2 hours on line with Dell trying to get the dang thing fixed. This is so frustrating I cant stand it. It will scan, but it wont print. And now I cant even copy anything. I will never get another Lexmark printer.

No support for mac os 10.10 yosemite. They simply tell me that there are no available drivers. My printer is under warranty until 2-2018 but I can not use it and they are not interested in providing a solution. Unacceptable!!!!

I just got off the phone with customer support and I am very disappointed. My first call ended after listening to a long selection list and after selecting one option was directed to an Internet doc (SO-7483) Called back and finally spoke to someone, who collected all my personal information and was unable to help, but sent me to a service tech, who also was no help, but felt if I should be transferred to a fee based tech for further help. Are you kidding! I told him I had no intention of paying a service tech to get a printer to print, this should be a basic function for a printer.

So the printer is supposed to have an option to print with black ink only. Then why is it that you have to replace the colored cartridges as well, otherwise you cannot print. It is ridiculous. I only bought the damn thing for just that reason. I had a perfectly fine printer that does the same thing. They are misleading making you think you will need to only have the black ink to print. Shame on theirs and others misleading advertising. Obviously, I will not be buying Lexmark products again.

I will never buy a lexmark printer ever again. They have seen me 2 print heads, 2 frames and lots of time has been spend each year fixing this crappy printer. Its a 5 year warranty and my warranty runs out in December and its November. They refused to do anything said it was a computer problem. Which I knew he was lieing it was where the last time one of their stupid tech copied 3 extra printer USB and only needed one. He said that's not his problem I would have to pay him 160.00 to fix it. I plainly told the idoit moron I would not pay him a dime and I would rather trash it than give him anything. He said he could careless. How rude is that and the woman I talked to before him was worse than rude just down right smartass!! I will go and buy me a brand new HP and never ever have another lexmark. This thing is still under warantee and their customer service are dumbasses!!

Lexmark support is rubbish! The swedish support is a bunch of ignorant morons that can't answer the most simple questions.

The US support are even worse, they have not got back to me at all.

Soo.. Now I have a printer I can't use, give it a guess if I will ever by another Lexmark product? Nope. Not going to happend!

I was given a multi-purpose printer as a present in 2011. I hardly used it for the first few months and when I went to use it there was a defect in the printer cartridges, so I called and they sent me new ones. After that I used it on and off for school work and, more recently, working from home. It didn't always sync with my computer even though it was supposed to be connected wirelessly, but I connected it with a USB cord and it worked fine. Now it says it has a printer jam (there isn't one) and it wont let me print or do anything. I called Lexmark support today, waited half the time being sent through what sounded like the same options being replayed over and over and finally got a hold of someone. They asked for my serial number to see if it was still under warranty (I told him I knew it wasn't, but he insisted) and then told me that it was not under warranty and they couldn't do anything because it was a mechanical error. So he e-mailed me a 20% discount to shop for a new printer online and when I opened the link and searched it was all for large printers for office use. I can't even find a normal one to use at home. I am extremely disappointed with the product and the customer service. I always thought and heard of Lexmark being a good brand, but now I will not buy another, nor will I recommend it to anyone else.

Do yourself a favour and DO NOT BUY LEXMARK!!!

I am embarrassed to say I've had my printer for over 4 years now (bought it on Best Buy's recommendation as it was on sale). The printhead did not work properly for the first few years, and turns out it was a defect. After constantly calling tech. support, they finally sent me a new printhead & small ink cartridges and the printer worked fine... for about a month. Now whenever I try to print, a bogus message saying "could not connect with printer." The online support is AWFUL, as most of the solutions are 1995 quality and only for windows users. They actually emailed me with "technical support" for a windows computer (I'm on a Mac).

Telephone support is equally as bad. What's customer service? Apparently no one at Lexmark knows. It is laughable that I have had this printer for this long, with an extensive list of phone calls, emails, and online chats to prove it.

(I write this as I listen to my 32nd minute of Lexmark's static elevator on-hold music)

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do NOT purchase Lexmark!!!!!

The customer service from this company is the absolute worst I have ever experienced. They were rude, I could barely understand them, and they lied to me, repeatedly. They gave me phone numbers that did not work, when all I wanted was for my printer to be fixed. a PRINTER which should not break upon normal use. Needless to say, this is the worst company and of any product I have ever used and would never recommend buying their products to anyone.

worst customer service asking irrelevent questions and not not giving proper information on the product warranty even when the customer is ready to buy another printer.The worst customer service experience you can ever have who does not have enough info even when your product is registered .The customer service is asking me where did you buy the ink and how much did you buy for it even after I told them that it is genuine lexmark cartride .They waited until my printer stopped working and lettimg me know that I am out of warranty and can give me 10 off for the printhead for the discontinued printer .I was ready to buy another printer last year from them and asked them to give me 10 percent off as I will be out of warranty this year they suggested me to wait until this year and specifically told me that I have one more year of warranty but now when the printer stopped working they are saying it had only 1 yr and they cannot do anoything about it and offering me 10 percent to buy printhead .I told how much does it cost and their supervisor is saying that I do not know .they waited until 5 yrs was over to let me know that the printer actually had only 1 yr of warranty ....They have trained their CSR to lie to people that the printers have 5 yrs warranty .If this goes this way you can see the company come down in another year or so .

I had purchsed lexmark printer as it was easy to install cartridge ...at first it all worked fine and after 2 yrs had print head problem and got it solved and whenever I call and checked with them they said you have a 5 yr warranty on this printer and .I knew I had called them to set up the printer and registered with them five years ago and they said it is registered .I again called up twice to fix the same printhead problems and the answer was the same you have 5 yrs warranty .Last year when I called up for the same problem and they said the printer is discontinued and asked them if they can give me 10 percent off to buy to new printer and again the suggestion was let the printer stop working as you have 1 more yr warranty left .one fine day the printer does not print properly and white streaks on the pages with color missing I called them up and they are saying you had only 1 year of warranty and we cannot do anything about it .The customer service whom I spoke to is asking me did you refill the ink when I told him that it is genuine lexmark ink and he again he asked me how much did you buy for and where ? .......does it really concern them even when it is genuine lexmark cartridge ....they are now suggesting me that they will give me 10 percent off for buying printhead for the discontinued printer .....I think they need to train their CSR to speak and resolve problem and give accurate information for what needs to be done.Their supervisor is also suggesting me the same thing ......I can buy a new printer instead of buying printhead .They should have informed me that there was no warranty after 1 yr when I called them .They kept lying to me that I still have warranty whenever I called them .I will def post about lexmark wherever I can ...they thought the people speaking to them does not have neough knowledge

Seems like Lexmark has a new process:
Something like this, you call try to explain the problems to someone who really doesn't listen but gives advice on things to try and takes long enough to get you frustrated. Then they say the problem can only be handled through the premium support service. When you get there they tell you it's a cost item. Wow. Twice now I've hung up unplugged the printer and got it to work. A few more unplugs and I'll look for a printer that has real support with representatives that speak and understand English.

Here I am sitting and trying to figure out why my Prospect Pro205 is only printing in red color, even though the ink levels are fine. While trying to find an answer to my problem online, I have stumbled onto this page and let me tell you, all these people are right! I too have had issues with the printhead, but was able to get mine replaced for free. Lexmark ink is outrageously expensive, and I'm beginning to think that the reason why my printer is only printing in red is because I bought non-Lexmark ink. So, all in all this printer is going to the dump and I am going to go and get a better non-Lexmark printer.
