The roller that pulls paper through the machine stopped working. Searched online for assistance with troubleshooting and nothing was helpful. Did the standard on / off, reload etc. Called to customer service where I was informed that this was not an issues that could be fixed and my warranty has expired and they would be happy to sell me a new printer and will send information to my email. Are you kidding!?! I guess I'm stuck replacing it but it definitely won't be with a Lexmark.

LEXMARK IS STEALING MONEY FROM ITS CUSTOMERS
I bought a lexmark platinum pro 905, very expensive printer, which claims to be the cheapest in their cartridges, but the reality is that through its firmware the "dishonest company" does the following to fool people:
Requires installing 3 color cartridges which, cost 10 times more expensive than the fourth alleged economic black cartridge
The software that is installed with the printer has an option to print only in black color, but here is just where this company is stealing from their clients and deceived because even with this option selected, the color cartridges will be empty anyway even if you do not use them one time.
The latter would be no problem if the cartridges are empty and the printer let you continue printing in black color, but the reality is that, does not let you print either in black or color, or anything. WITH FULL BLACK CARTRIDGE, CAN NOT PRINT ANYTHING UNTIL YOU BUY ALL 3 COLOR CARTRIDGES. This is done through firmware.
Calling service, they say that all of this is normal and that you must buy the color cartridges to print only in black.
When i asked them why the color cartridges are empty if they ware not used, they respond that these are spent by the printer head cleaning done regularly, which is illogical if not in use.
You may wonder why I say that this company steals from its customers? The answer is simple. Any company can put usurious policies like this one, and potencial client will know if they buy their products or not, only if this company warns of this practice on paper or box. The issue in this particular case is that neither the product box, or in physical or digital manuals is this clarification, so from my point of view and also from the point of view of anyone who has a minimum of reasoning, this is cheat and STEAL.
The biggest problem is that these companies are protected because it is employing many people and governments often leave them to do this kind of thing.
For my part, as I can not change the world, and I can not ask a THIEF of this size do not steal, then fill up with the part that I can, which I list below:
1-will post on all Internet sites possible this same comment, with the aim that this prevented people against such practices.
2-Every time someone asks me if a Lexmark printer is good, sure i will give you more than 10 minutes to explain why they are the worst printers and will explain why the company steals just as a hungry person would do, but being rich, which gives a much darker hue, and more even if you do institutionally like organized crime
3-I invite to all people that reads this review to do the following test if they will go to buy a printer from this manufacturer: Call service and Tell them you have the printer I mention and tell them you had the same problems and ask a solution, when you hear the answer, you'll know if you should buy this brand of printers or not.
4-The most important of all I ask you (if you can and if you care about ending these business ilegal practices), to make public, like me, this demand in order that companies act ethically. You will wonder if you win something with this? The answer is that at this time, NO, but in the future YES. (Please if you are unsure if you are doing the correct thing when you make this public, please, do the test point 3 in order to convince yourself, and after that if you're not yet convinced, forget my comment and be happy)
(IF THE COMPANY LEXMARK THOUGHT THAT THIS WAS THE PATH TO DO MORE CUSTOMERS, THEY ARE CRAZY, BECAUSE STEALING, IS NOT THE WAY)

Lexmark customer service started out to be excellent, however, that was short lived. After receiving a replacement printer, I was unable to connect it to my computer properly. I spent two days on the phone with a technical support agent. Nothing was set up the way it was with my original printer. The technician started to give me a hard time. I became frustrated and told him I wanted to end the conversation.

I then tried to contact Lexmark again in hopes of getting another technician. It was like a revolving door syndrome and getting nowhere. I was then disconnected three times

Lexmark definitely needs to improve their telephone support and their menus. IT IS VERY FRUSTRATING. This has made me regret buying a LEXMARK printer.

Our business owns a half dozen Lexmark Monochrome Laser printers - three E260s, two E460s and one MS410.

Of the six, all have paper feed and/or network connectivity problems.

All three of the E260s throw a Paper Jam error if you feed anything through the bypass tray. There is no paper jammed - the printer simply will NOT feed the page through.

We bought a second paper tray for one of the E460 workgroup printers that has produced paper jams since it came out of the box.

The second E460 workgroup printer falls off the network regularly.

The MS410 was broken right out of the box. When a print job is sent to it an error pops up stating that paper must be added to the paper tray, even though the tray is fuill and the web interface shows that the tray has paper in it.

I'm now on the phone waiting to talk with ANYONE at Lexmark Customer Service. I've been on hold for well over a half hour, listening to the same 8-note sound clip and a regular massage telling me that all agents are busy. At one point the the line on the other end rang once, then I was back in the hold queue. And after the first half hour their system just disconnected my call - putting me back at the end of the queue when I called back.

Lexmark support doesn't exist, it's just a myth. And we will NEVER buy another Lexmark product!

After waiting 2 months for my free rewards cartridges I was finally credited. I sent in 10 reward cartridges and didn't get credit for two months after calling to check the status. The representatives were rude and were rushing me off the line. They act as though they had better things to do thsn answer questions or concerns. I have the conversation recorded, i was speaking clearly the whole time but they appeared to not understand me. I really wish English was their first language because the language barrier may have been what caused the worker to have such a terrible attitude. Each time I call I always get a rude middle eastern woman.

I have been a loyal customer of Lexmark for many years, but NO longer! I participate in their printer Ink rewards program and have bought thousands of dollars worth of Lexmark printer cartridges over the years as well. On 3/13/14 I placed an order for 5 cartridge return envelopes (still not received). On 4/4/14 I placed another order for 5 more return envelopes (still not received). On 4/16/14 I paced a third order for 5 return envelopes (still not received). And today 4/29/14 I placed my fourth order for 5 more return envelopes! This is ABSOLUTELY the worst customer service program I have ever experienced!! Lexmark needs to quit outsourcing their customer service department to overseas' contractors. They are totally inept!! I want to talk with someone whose first language is English!!

Lexmark has apparently decided it must charge the customer 75-80% of the cost of its device to have its techs provide support for a new unit they shipped in under warranty. The Tech told me point blank he knew how to fix my problem (which frankly is doubtful given that he did not even know how to navigate the device's menu), but would not help me if I did not pay $120 for a maintenance contract on a $150 printer. He never conducted the first troubleshooting process, only wanted to know what I had done and then immediately went into a sales pitch to sell the service contract. This after a previous call had decided to send me a new unit and instructed me to call for assistance in setting the replacement device up. It spent more time trying to explain the "deal" than ever trying to figure out what was wrong with their device. I cannot recommend them to anyone at this point.

I have been a Lexmark owner for 9+ years. I always had a problem with installing new ink cartages and then so much ink used for the alignment page always upset me, but I overlooked it.
But now I had some legal paperwork that needed to go out ASAP, and I had just installed a new black ink cartage a few days before and NOW WHEN I NEED IT MOST, my LEXMARK Pro715 refuses to print because I am out of color ink, and I am trying to print in black and white.
Sorry Lexmark, but I will NOT buy your product again for this cheap act to force me to buy color ink, when I am trying to print in black and white and meet a court deadline.
This was court case paper work needed ASAP.
SUCH A CHEAP SHOT AT BEING MONEY HUNGRY, YOU FAIL TO SEE the needs of those who have lost jobs, trying to make it on a shoestring and I could go on and on and on.
All just because your trying to squeeze another $30 some dollars.... you cost me so much more..... $$$$$$$$$$$

I installed a new Lexmark black ink cartridge, and the printer (Lexmark Pro 200) would not recognize it, would not print in black. After online research, I removed the circuit card on the old, empty cartridge and put it on the new one. Worked for awhile. Then the printer refused to work, saying the cartridge was empty when it is not. The circuit card does not really assess the ink level; it notes times the cartridge has been used. So in my case, it thinks it's still the previous empty cartridge so won't print. Given the high cost of the cartridge, this makes the printer just not worth keeping and makes sure I'll never buy Lexmark again.

This is an ultra stupid design for Lexmark S415.Because my color ink is out,I cannot use my almost full black ink cartridge to do any printing or copying.The only thing just as stupid that I have ever heard of is a mechanic who told me that to take the nuts off my BMW wheel is more expensive than other none BMW cars.

I have been on hold, waiting to resolve my problem for about 90 minutes. the first tech I spoke to (after 40 minutes on hold) was impossible to understand. She tried but her accent was clearly too strong to have this type of job. She really pressured my to agree to be transferred to a tech who would fix my problems (fee-based). I finally gave in but asked if I had to face an enormous wait, again. She told me there would be no long wait. That was 40+ minutes ago. I will never buy another Lexmark as long as tech jobs are outsourced. I live in Kentucky. I could have driven my printer to corporate offices by now. There is no excuse for this type of customer service!

After holding for 1 1/2 hours for a Lexmark tech, I was then told they would have someone return my call in 1-2 hours. I've had a Pinnacle Pro901 for 2 years and now I must restart my computer for the printer to start printing. The tech said it was due to the recent Microsoft updates and they could fix the problem for $119.00. What??? I didn't pay much more for the printer. So, will this happen every time Microsoft does large updates??? Seems like a scam from Lexmark. No wonders the wait time was outrageous for tech services. I'm guessing lots of people are having the same problem. Seems crazy Lexmark printers would fail due to regular updates.

Have found my Lexmark experience very poor.Tried for hours to download driver for a Z738 printer, nothing but nothing works.I have lost my disk, so tried downloading via the internet - doesn't work.Called a professional to do it, can't do it, advised to get a new printer from someone else.It really should not be this hard, will be looking for another printer today - do not buy Lexmark with Windows 7.....ever !

I bought a Lexmark Pro707 in 2011 and have since had numerous problems with the print head. I have dealt with the customer service twice before and they managed to resolve my issues very timeously. However, on July 10th, I call customer service and spoke to a Mr Ford about the fact that my printhead was yet giving me problems. I explained that the printer was not printing in black regardless of a new cartridge being inserted. he then requested that I email him a picture of the printhead as well as the copies of the printer tests to ensure what the problem could be. I have not received a reply from him to date. I have the reference number of the previous calls and he told me to I waited for a response and nothing happened. I emailed many times to enquire what the problem was and got one response back from the call centre saying that my mail will be responded to soon. Still nothing, therefore I have decided to go this route. My printer is still problematic. Please help.

The quality of Lexmark printers has gone so downhill! I have had a LM printer for 3 yrs & since I have had it, it has been replaced 6 times! Their refurbished printers do not work either. My current one I have had for 1 1/2 yrs & again it needs to be replaced. All I get when talking to their corporate office is broken promises & lies! I will never buy another Lexmark product & suggest people boycott Lexmark products!
I have tried to no avail also to contact the President and/or VP of Lexmark but they have a lying weasel by the name of Marshall Holman running interference for them & he is one rude puppy!

Lexmark Rewards Program is a scam; The Web site is so shoddy and cluttered up, no wonder Lexmark printers are garbage. I went thru the "maze" of clutter to actually order an ink cartridge, added it to my cart went to check out and got some bogus message stating "you have no items in your cart". Sounds like a scam to me. I even wasted more time and went thru this junked up web site again and got the same message. Needless to say Lexmark is junk and frankly should close their doors. Our company fell victim to the Lexmark Pro 715 garbage last year; never will there be another Lexmark product in our business, ever again.

Lexmark pro715 ink cartridges? After printing 4 8x10 photographs, the printer informed me that ink levels were low and it stopped working. Out of curiosity I removed cartridges and tore them apart, guess what? Yeah...still saturated with ink! I do not believe they monitor ink levels at all but count print size and number. That makes them thieves in my book.

I have a Lexmark Pro901 model and it stopped printing on the paper. It goes through all the motions but no print on the paper. I did the deep cleaning and test page but still no print. What do you think is worng or how to fix.

I purchased a X4975 all in one printer. Loved it and got good CS. Recently, the hinge broke which caused the lid not to be able to be closed all the way. I called Lexmark and let them know I needed a hinge. The problem was the printer is obsolete. They offered a pro 715 replacement. Got the replacement and it took 3 days and hours to get it set up. It continually looses its wireless capability and won't even print when connected by the USB. The Customer non-service gave me **** about how it had been 15 days and it worked, therefore I would have to pay for premium CS. If the premium CS is as good as what I have already encountered, why would I pay for it. The x4975 was so much better and the ink may have been expensive,$30's, a lot cheaper than having to buy 4 cartridges at $50 a pop. Lexmark has gone to the dogs and I have considered keeping the x4975 and removing the other hinge and see if the printer will print ok like that. The x4975, I could get over 500 or more pages and it rarely gave me any connectivity issues. The CS person out and out lied about the 15 day period of time about accepting the new printer. As I received it on the 16th and it took 3 days to get to work. Have had connectivity issues ever since it worked the first time. The software comes with the machine but, they won't support their product. Rude and very disappointing. Will not buy a Lexmark ever again. I have gathered Lexmark may find it has pissed so many customers off they may find they have no customers left and therefore, no Lexmark Company will survive. There are too many other companies out there. I predict if they continue treating the customer in this manner this company will go the way of the buggy whip. We the customer votes with our dollar and they are dependent on the customer continuing to buy the product. Read the writing on the wall LEXMARK! When jobs disappear don't wonder why?

I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LEXMARK PRINTER AGAIN. I bought a Pinnacle Pro901 and have had nothing but repeated problems with this printer. I consider myself to be fairly skilled with computers and the like, but I have had nothing but problems with the wireless network. The 5 year warranty is all but a joke and in order for Lexmark to assist, these clowns want another $139 to get their product to work. I told them that I would spend the money on a new printer versus giving them one more dime.

I bought a Lexmark S415 printer late last year. I just found out that you need to have color cartridges with ink in them to print in black and white! This is ridiculous. I have no need for color and I'll be damned if I'm going to buy color cartridges I don't need.

Stupid design.

I currently own a lexmark pro200 printer. Have owned for about a year 1/2. When the printer works it prints great. My complaint is that I'm buying ink cartridges once a month when my use of this printer is minimal at best. Probably no more than 20 sheets per month. I am deeply disappointed with the cost I'm incurring for your product. Please advise me if there is an upgrade I'm missing or another problem I may be experiencing. I have a Lexmark printer S605 which is 2 years old, always had problems with it. Recently, the printer started to print empty pages, even though the ink was full . So I decided to call the Lexmark Support Group, they did the navigation almost for an hour by 4 different technicians and they couldn't fix the problem. At last a lady technician said I need to update the printer as the printer is outdated and there will be a charge. I told her, I only need the printer to print and even you could not solve the problem and now you want me to sign up something for a year just to get the printer print? She said it is outdated. I said "what... 2 years old printer is outdated?" This sounds ridiculous. The lady immediately cut off the line.

Extremely bad printer couple with bad service. Will definitely write a review about this LEXMARK printer and the service. Definitely, will dump the printer in the bin. Also too expensive to run as the cartridge costs about £23.00 and it only prints about 50 pages instead of 500. Useless service and useless printer.
