On 2/22/10 I contacted AT&T about my Motorola Razr2 V9x which I had purchased through them because of my business (I needed a B/T) & they recommended this phone. I have had GREAT success with this phone-UNTIL this past weekend when the port started acting up-no matter what device (wall, car, & computer) I used to try & charge it with. AT&T informed me my warranty was up by 30 days & their was nothing they could do for me. So I went to the store I purchased it from & they also told me the same & that they didn't know anyone that could work on it-but they did try & sell me a new phone. I use my cellphone for work & home-24 hours a day! I do not abuse my phone-just USE it! I called Motorola direct & they suggested I pay a 1 time fee of $75.00 & send the phone in & contact AT&T & get a loaner. 1st of all why would I spend $75.00 when I can get an Apple I-Phone from AT&T 2G 8gb for $100.00 or a 3G 16gb for $200.00. I chose conveniance for inconveniance? Anonymous 2/26/10 8:38AM

Everyone has their breaking point, mine was reached today with Motorola, a company from which I have purchased AT LEAST 14 different mobile phones. Currently my account has 4 users with Motorola Razrs - (see for yourself on the image that is attached). I'm one of those people who gets to using a certain brand and sticks with it, but no more for this company. They are bad news and have lost perspective on the importance of their customers.
Why am I fed up and finding a new company to purchase phones from? Because Motorola believes that they did me a GREAT BIG FAVOR by fixing a defective phone that was brand new! They say that because I purchased a new phone from a secondary market that it has no warranty! I'm not sure if that will hold up in court, it's certainly not how automakers or other businesses consider their warranty.
Now understand that the phone I purchased was an US Market model, even the person who did me the big favor admits that it was made for my carrier AT&T and sold in the US - but because I didn't purchase it from AT&T or Motorola, they do not recognize that it is a product to be responsible for. Yes, it's a MOTOROLA RAZR phone, YES, THEY MADE IT and SOLD IT TO SOMEONE IN THE AT&T Network, but because I didn't buy it from them directly - they won't stand behind it - even though it was BRAND NEW and I produced a receipt showing my purchase of a new phone.
Let me also mention, that I purchased several of these to find that they suffered from a well-known defect that is clearly documented and that my request to replace the phone with a new one, was not honored. Nor can they tell me how or what they supposedly did to fix my phone.
I also learned that they didn't even have the postal code for their own service depot shown correctly on their web site.
I've learned that their customer advocacy group can lecture you on what is covered and what is not covered in detail and talk to you in a demeaning tone (ty - Julie. the self-proclaimed manager of the operation)
I learned that according to Julie, there is no one else to appeal or talk to and that Motorola leaders and executives don't read correspondance, they simply forward it to her for handling. UGH!
Goodbye Motorola, and you can say good-bye to a person that has (over the years) purchased:
3 Motorola V551 models - some of my first mobile phones
2 Motorola MPx220 models (a terrible problem-ridden phone) though I stayed with you after this one!
3 Motorola Razr (orignal versions)
2 Motorola Krzrs (which didn't last that long, though I thought it was one of my kids being hard on them) - and -
4 Motorola Razr V3xx models - one in Gray, one in Black, one in Platinum, and one in Red/orange - without a back that attaches properly!
Motorola, I'll bet that you'll miss me, more than I'll miss you!TC 2/22/10 4:40PM

I have had a problem with the ear piece on my Boost motorola i776 and tried to get some assistance. First, I had to find out the date I purchased the phone. Okay, that is valid. When I found out that information to send the phone back. The representative at motorola kept hanging up on me. I never could get through to Boost or anyone to get my problem resolved. swetchoc 2/1/10 8:22PM

I have Boost as my cell phone carrier and I was issued the Motorola 1335. The phone blew/quit after a short time recharging and I took it back to Best Buy, which made me purchase another 1335. Yesterday the second phone blew while on the charger. I have been unable to speak with anyone at Motorola and need advice as to how to get the phone repaired or replaced at no extra cost to me. fightingirishlass 1/27/10 7:52AM

Is it impossible to get a simple answer these days? I have an older cordless phone set and one of the handsets is not working properly. I just need to know if a) All I need is a new battery ....maybe it is not accepting the charge, b)The individual handset needs replacing (the other on is fine ...I am ASSUMING the base is also fine) or c)it is cheaper to replace the entire system (and loose my stored phone numbers or have to re-enter them). After this horrible experience of not being able to even ask my question I will NOT be replacing this phone with a Motorola product ...I hope there is some other Buy American option. POS It is NOT YET Nov 24 and I still cannot talk to anyone on a phone. This is not satisfactory. Jean Carroll POed Cordless phone owner 11/20/09 9:53AM

Motorola have really gone downhill. Customer Service and repair are exceptionally poor, quality of their products are poor also. If your phone needs repair under warranty don't expect it back earlier than 6 months, the repair centre just tells you that they are waiting on parts. For a company supposedly in the leading technology market Motorola are way behind, somewhere in the 80's I think..Very very unhappy and disappointed customer. Most of their customer service can't help you as they are in the Phillipines and have poor English skills. unhappy Motorola purchaser 7/21/09 5:28PM

I was able to reach someone by phone with a few prompts. An unlike the chat service, I was able to get warrant service and a replacement. Thanks so much for the number! Anonymous 9/16/09 4:51PM
