Agree with the comment that PeoplePC sucks!  Called to cancel my service and the rep I spoke to would not or could not understand what I was telling her. If the reps understood English instead of reading the printed procedures, it would be beneficial to the company as well as their clients. Hopefully I will not have to deal with this company ever again! Advise to those who currently have service with this company----CANCEL NOW!!! It's worth paying more to advoid the headaches & frustration.

We called to cancel our slow service,had a hispanic on the line taking our call.We got no where with this person.She kept saying we are giving you a free month just in case you change your mind about canceling.We told her we did not want a free month that we just wanted to cancel.We got nowhere with her.She had the IQ of a 10 year old at best.This co is desperate for money,stay away from them.I will spread the word around at all the senior centers that I go to.They are crooks.

Hi another fleeced customer they did my mom the exact same way she went through aarp iam in the process of contactin them now i got this number from them(aarp) 1-800-478-6994 they are a complete ripoff and need to be shutdown completely.

It is true they never cancel your service. I've tried to no avail. The only option is to close my checking account and establish a new checking account number. My bank said they cannot block the payment. They did try.

I'm going to contact our state's Attorney General's office also. People PC has cost me several hundred dollars by refusing to cancel my service.

Never do business with People PC! I give them an F in honesty, integrity and competence.
I called and cancelled my People PC account in March 2008. I was told "you don't need a cancellation number, we'll take care of it". Stupid me, I fell for it. I was called this month and notified that the bank had declined payment to my account... They took 29 months of payments from the account they failed to close, including an upgrade I never gave permission for (at $2.00 extra a month)! This company verges on criminal. There's no way they can be that incompetent and stay in business. Customer service was no help and ran from polite to rude. Several phone numbers are permanently busy. Oh, I've been informed that my account will be closed for "non-payment" and the bill sent to collections. Unbelievable.
If anyonr out there has phone numbers to People PC upper management available, I'd be grateful.

REGARDING THE CUSTOMER SERVICE, I AGREE,
IT'S AWFUL..
HOWEVER, FOR THOSE THAT CAN'T GET THROUGH TO
THEM TRY THIS NUMBER....1 866-772-6277 option 1 then option 3...

I GOT TO A HUMAN; DISCUSSED MY ISSUE, AND

I just got off the phone with People Pc as they sent my account to a collection office after I had called and canceled with themin june 2010, but i had in on auto payments and just had the card stop the payments! now they want 26.53 from me no way are they going to get it WATCH OUT for this company

I give this company a F. If there was a rating below that I would give them that rating. I had canceled my subscription with them over a year ago and still being charged all because evidently they can't understand when someone says cancel.My husband even called three times to cancel. They said we would have to have confirmation number. We don't have it so since it wasn't notated in computer they can do what they want. They can tell the service HAS NOT been used.But when they talk to me they say "they don't check that".Why they because they know they are in the wrong. This is the poorest company I have ever dealt with and if you choose to go with them you better believe me go on and bend over and be ready for a swift kick in the rear because you will need it after they treat you like they have me.MONEY HUNGRY is all they are. You were warned if you choose to go with People pc and get messed over you have no one to blame but yourself after you read this

I moved recently. I called to have my service transferred. I was told that there was no dsl service available in that area. It was at that time they downgraded my to dial-up. The reason I went to dsl was the dial-up service was so poor. I could wash my dishes in the time it took to get somewhere. At that time they were trying to charge me an early termination fee.
I thought I had the situation straightened out. But a week later the attack started again with "a new dsl order". I told the guy I no longer needed the aggrivation they were causing me and that I no longer wanted the service as I previously stated and ws going with someone else. He started to threaten me with taking money out of my account. After dealing with him I was transferred to customer service with more of the same. I called back and talked with someone who supposedly "straightened everything out" only to get another call from the same sales person that night. After telling him the same thing, I woke up the next morning to find out that peoplepc had taken $110 out of my account for the modem. They refused to give me the address to return the modem by overnight mail. I have to wait 5-7 days just get a sticker ("you won't have to pay to mail it back") to return the modem. So my bak account is locked up for another week.

AMG I have called People PC numerous times about my inability to access online network. I have been given every reason in the world why I should try something else all the while I was being charged for a service I could not use. Finally no more ppc dealing.Praise the LORD......

NEVER get into an annual, "prepayment" deal with this company! I was talked into it ($89.88 per year) last month (August), thinking that I was getting a good discount compared to paying $12.95 a month. But when I called today to cancel the service because we were getting into cable service instead, they would NOT refund the money, saying the cancellation would take into effect on August of NEXT YEAR! So I will be having an account, that I will NOT be using, for 11 months! When I said "well that is a terrible service," all they could say is "it was the contract." Shame on me that I was fooled this way, but DO NOT GET FOOLED LIKE ME!

Peoplepc SUCKS!! It has poor dial-up connection and super SLOW. They have the WORST customer service. if you're using peoplepc pls check your bill and make sure they charge the amount that they promised. I have BAD experience with them. They promised me to charge $1.95 to keep the email address only. I found out that they charged me $ 5.04. AOL never charge anything if we decide to keep the AOL email address. Pls stay away fr Peoplepc!! You get what you pay for!

I have tired mutiple times to call the cust. service phone numbers. EVERY time I get a busy signal, no matter when I call! I'm unable to get on line so I can't use the chat. What can I do?

Many times while working on gen and family tree research i have been timed OUT and told to reconnect. This often comes after working many,many hours on tracking people from 100-200 years ago.BOOM every bit of data is deleted without warning,gone andd cannot be retrived. I have called several times to complain and the people dont understand english, they studder,and finaly comes up with an answer thats not even related.They say its for their security? I along many others will be changing a.s.a.p shame on you ppc

I cancelled People PC in Jan. of 2010 due to getting better provider and People PC continued to bill me for two months and is unwilling to refund any money. Very displeased with tx recieved from staff and services

I have been trying to resolve an issue with peoplepc about a modem that was mailed to me late and I never used it i returned it to the address that was pevided on their package and I contacted UPS online and was given a tracking number which I provided ppc with three different times and each time they said they did not have a tracking number my accout was surpose to be cancled and I was given an amount to pay each month for regular dial-up service, I could not use another dial-up service I already have one with them. Waiting for COPR office to respond to their e-mail was told 48-72-hours it have benn over a week or more. I hope CORP views my problem soon.

Since I downloard people DSL I have had a virus or malicious malware on my computer with male enhancement and porno poking through. Took over my computer. Called people and they sent me two Norton disks which arrived opened and broken. Called again and received another disk that had been opened. Installed it and now I cannot access anything again, plus I loss my internet connection and can't install the DSL disk. Never had this problem before. Customer service is out of country and even though nice, I can't understand them half the time.

I canceled my account back in March 2009,peoplepc still was charging me for a active file, which I canceled on March-2009, I told them James who I talked to this is fraud, he stated we gave you 2 months for free, I did'nt accept such I wanted my account to be closed. The service railroad me, and cost me almost $100.00, I felt I should had got my money back for service I did'nt use. They were billing me after I cancel my account.

Cancelled service in May of '08 via email and Live Chat BECAUSE I moved out of the country! THEY DID NOT provide a phone number for me to call. Live Chat rep cancelled my service AND re-imbursed me for 5 months of unauthorized auto withdrawals from my account. NOW they have the nerve to send me to COLLECTIONS?? You will be hearing from my lawyer!

I cancelled my account in Nov. 2008. Today they called me to say that my credit card company declined their charges. I called and explained this and they kept me on the line for over an hour, playing loud music, waiting for a "cancellation confirmation number". If you cancell your account with these people get that number when you cancel.
Otherwise they will really try to grind you down.

We ordered People PC through our Satellite server. We were supose to have a disk mailed to us in 7 bussiness days. One week later we get a call that they cant seem to find us and need our address, which they recorded wrong even tho they read back the right address to me. When i called a month later to CANEL they couldnt even find a record of our order by THEIR OWN ACC NUMBER THEY GAVE ME! All i can say is this is shoddy a service and i better not have a charge removed for ot from my account. AND I DO NOT WISH TO B CONTACTED BY ANYONE AT PEOPLE PC
