I did an online chat with a Proactive rep about 2 months ago stating that I was not happy with the product and wanted to return the box I just received (unopened). I was instructed on what to do and was told I was still responsible for S&H. Fine. A few weeks later I saw my refund. Last week I received another box. This time I called Proactive. I was shocked at the response I got: "Did you tell the rep you spoke with online that you wanted to cancel your order?" Seriously? Would I be returning it if I wanted them to send more? The online rep never mentioned I had to call someone to cancel the order. I was assured I will not have to pay S&H this time. I assured her that I will take legal action if they take money out of my account without authorization.

In Sept 2013 I ordered products for my granddaughter which she uses regularly & is very satisfied. In October we found Proactive at our local mall. I immediately called Customer Service to cancel all future orders. I was assured this would be taken care of. In December another shipment was received which I promptly returned to the USP facility. I also AGAIN contacted Customer Service and wrote a letter using the address on your website which was returned "addressee unknown". What is that all about?? Your company charged me $8+ for that return. Today I received ANOTHER order. YOUR ADS CLEARLY STATE THE SUBSCRIPTION CAN BE CACELLED AT ANY TIME. DO NOT SEND ANY PRODUCTS TO ME. DO NOT CHARGE ME FOR RETURNED PRODUCTS. I will call Customer Service AGAIN. There are no complaints about the products themselves. But your internet advertising is totally incorrect when it states that the subscription can be cancelled.

So I tried Proactive, it didn't work for me so I sent it back within the 60 days to get my money back. I call two weeks later to make sure that they received it and the rep told me that they did receive it and it was in process, I cal back ore than 6 weeks after that call to see what was going and they rep tells me that they have no record of anything being received. I was so upset because why is it that 2 two reps tell me that my shipment was received and now when its time to give me back my money ALL OF A SUDDEN ITS NOT THERE!!!! They talk all this BS on tv, money back guarantee but when its time time pay up they're are about the bs!!! WORST EXPERIENCE AND VERY INCOMPETENT!!!!!!

watch their billing , they will charge you extra ,over bill you.if you send things back be carefull .

I had an account with proactive for a little over 2 years. Well today, a stranger came knocking at my door accusing me of stealing her mail. She said I had been receiving her proactive kit.. I was so confused that all I could do is stare at her in utter disbelief. Apparently, since we lived in the same apartment complex, both of our names start with a T and both of our last names started with a M and we had the same apartment letter, the difference was hers was 11E and I'm 3E...long story short, this chick threatened me, told everyone in my apartments that I stole her mail and now she's attempting to press fraud charges against me for supposedly stealing her proactive when it was customer service who got us mixed up and told her my account info. They gave her my account information and my address and told her I must have switched her name from her account and added mine but my credit card was billed repeatedly and I only got 2 shipments, that were in MY NAME, not hers. Please tell me how is this possible... They are checking into, but in the meantime I'm being harrassed for something I didn't do...SMH

I ordered the starter kit for a neighbor that I thought I could interest them in doing something for their skin. Unfortunely I never heard another word. Anyhow, a kit was sent to me that I did not order and I sent it back with a letter asking to not send me additional material.
Lo and behold here is another one. Please , how do I get them to STOP.

I ordered with overnight shipping 3 days ago. When I called to check on the order, the following happened:
1) The customer service agent could not pull anything up by the order number and made me give her my phone, zip, and address number (isn't that what an order number is for? plus, the automated system already took this information from me, don't make me repeat myself)
2) She called me by the wrong name multiple times and then asked for my credit card number, which at this point I was hesitant to give.
3) After several "attempts" (and minutes) she was unable to transfer me to a supervisor and told me to fax my order request in...I'm sorry, what year is this? I do not have a fax machine handy, so I asked for an email address instead. THEY DON'T HAVE ONE.
4) Told me that I only paid for standard shipping, which takes 3 weeks. 3 WEEKS? Are you kidding me!? I ordered OVERNIGHT. I don't need it 3 weeks from now, I need it yesterday.
5) I asked her to cancel the order, which she said she could not...wait, what?! You cannot get it to me in a reasonable amount of time, but you also can't cancel the order that is clearly not already shipped?!

I had been a loyal proactive customer for over 10 years until they screwed me over. I ordered over $150 worth of product which would last me for quite a while which saves me money on shipping cost every 3 months. Their computer system did not record that I ordered 2 months ago and they sent another $100 worth of product to me when I did not need it or authorize it. I called customer service and they said they would take the product back but I would have to pay for the shipping to me ($10) and back to them ($12) plus insurance to make sure it got to them. Basically I was paying for their mistake. I cancelled my account with them immediately.

Proactive scams people.You cannot cancel anytime as stated in commercials.I called to cancel but they kept sending me products and kept billing me.When I called to get my money back,they said it would take up to 6 weeks.I sent them their product back after they sent it in error and they still wont give me my money back.Their business practices are fraudulent.It's just a matter of time before the law catches up to them.

I placed an order for the starter kit that was on the commercial for $19.99. I received the kit which only lasted me a month. Next thing I know they took money out of my acct for 2 months but never sent me anything else.when I called customer service they said they sent me a 90 day kit and that I was being charged for that!!! They were the riders people I've ever had to deal with!!! They wouldn't help me at all !!! It's a rip off and false advertisement!!! Take my advice and don't order anything on the phone or online from them...the product sucks anyway!!!

I don't need proactive, but the TV is being saturated with these relentless commercials. I am reading about this product and apparently it does not work. People are being taken advantage of. Being charged and not even getting the product. Bernice

PROACTIVE IS ABSOLUTELY A DISHONEST COMPANY. I placed an order for one-time purchase, and of course, they kept sending things that I never ordered, and later on I was charged ~$200 for things that I never ordered and I never wanted. This is the second time this happened with Proactive. Proactive's business model is to rip off people by hiding some comments about "continuing customer" or "membership" somewhere that no body can see, and take advantage of people's busy schedule to continue extracting money.

I have proactive and as a black woman I didn't think it would work as good but it did ...face has cleared up by 75% and I am happy PROACTIVE works on all skin types.. I can't use the alcohol product but the face wash and skin cream still keep my skin clear.

Poor customer service!!!! Ordered Proactiv plus several days ago, I have yet to receive an email confirming my order/and or payment! I called CS and was informed that I had to wait 24-48hrs, before receiving that information. But, payment was substrated from my card! Then, I provided my address and mailing address, so they could pull the order up in their system, but was told the order could not be located. Asked for tracking information and I was told that (Proactiv) does not provide tracking information. They are full of Bulls---!!! Never, will I order from this company again!!!!!!!

I decided to try ProActive in the beginning of the year, so I ordered a kit. After that first one I noticed that it didnt work, but they sent me a second one without me asking for it about a month later. Not only that, but they took my money from my account without my authorization. About 2 months after, I called to tell them I wanted to cancel & I wanted them to stop sending me kits without my saying so. So the guy I spoke to told me not to worry about the 60 day thing because of my situation & because I didnt know that they automatically did that. I told him I would send the two kits back that day in the post office, and he said I would get a full refund as soon as they received my shipment. I did everything the way he told me to do it when sending it back. I asked him how long before I would see the refund, and he said to check sometime in November. Its the end of November now and I haven't received anything back, so I called them only to find out that they wont give me back my refund! If I had known this, I wouldn't have gone out of my way to send it back!! I did everything that guy told me to do & paid for shipping it back, and this lady at ProActive even acknowledged over the phone that they got my two kits back but wont give me back my refund !! Now that I know these people are so incompetent... liars, unprofessional, and dont care about what they tell their customers,... I wont refer anyone to them. I will make sure to make them look as bad as I can so that no one has to lose their money the way I did. I had told a couple of friends of mine about it and they were going to order from them. I made sure to send them a text about this problem before they fell into the same hole. Now I've lost almost $200 because of them.

Proactive sucks. It does not work. Its just bogus. I did a free trial and then cancelled the product because it wasn't working. It was breaking me out more than ever. I called 3 people to cancel the product but I still manage to find products and the mail and them charging me and taking money out of my account. This is by far one of the WORSE products ever. It deceiving and just want people for their money. I WOULD NOT recommend this product to anyone!!!

Never, ever purchase anything from this company. First, they outsource their customer service reps to India, and their accent is very hard to understand. Second, their website is terrible and you cant cancel your account without calling them. Finally, they NEVER send you confirmation that your account is cancelled. They automatically DEDUCT refills that you don't need. ITS A RIP OFF. Do yourself a favor and get the EXACT LIKE PRODUCTS AT TARGET.. THIS COMPANY SUCKS

This is really a scam...i tried calling the number to cancel my order but it just went to the voice mail saying the number is not assigned in your area which shows in my invoice as a customer service number. I tried sending e-mail stating my cancellation but still charge me $82.47 in my credit card. Hope they will stop charging me...it costs me lots already.

The service is awful. I sent back stuff that I have not been ordered and claim my money back, however I called them many times and they say they need time to figure out the problem. Eventually they did not send my money back. Always say need a time. Don't buy any products from them. I will never ever buy any products ANY. I had enough.

I just placed an order today and really wish I had checked this site and read the comments before I made that mistake!! The problem started when the website offered next day delivery if you place your order before 3 p.m. Eastern Time. I started placing my order at 11:00 E.T., but couldn't get the system to accept it until 15 minutes later. When it finally moved to the confirmation page, it changed the delivery selection to the standard 5-7 days. I called 'customer service' and was given some spiel about them not being able to locate my order for 72 hours. I told them I didn't want to cancel it, just modify the delivery to next day like I wanted. They said they couldn't do anything until 3 days later. Asked to speak with a Supervisor whose speech was barely discernable, who confirmed that I couldn't do anything until 3 days from now, and furthermore, "Proactive doesn't have next day shipping". ??? I explained to him what was on their website, and he said, it doesn't matter, I would never get an order the next day. There were then ackward pauses and he mumbled something and I hung up. Now I plan to cancel the order, (when they can finally see it in their systems), and I am dreading the billing nightmares that I see everyone else has experienced!!!!

Beware of the supposedly free gifts proactive offers. I accepted the "free gift" from what I thought was from proactive, but did not realize it was from a different company that would start sending the free gift every 90 days and that by authorizing Proactive to take money out of my credit card they gave the authority for both companies to take out money from my card each month. Make sure to read all the fine print and click every button. I will never buy from this sneaky company again.

I've been using Proactive for almost a year now. At first, the product was really effective. Everyone close to me noticed my clearer complexion because I used to have really oily and had a lot of pimples or acne.

But I had stopped using it after 6 months because the product wasn't working on my face anymore. After a month I decided to start using it again, I noticed that my acne or pimples got worse. My cousin experienced the same when she also decided to use proactive again after a few months of not using it.

I don't if you guys have the same problem as we do but I guess we will not use Proactive anymore. I'm forced to go to a dematologist to get my face checked.
