As we journey through our IVF process, Progyny insurance has been instrumental in coordinating our treatments and tests. While other providers seamlessly work with Progyny, our recent experience with Quest Diagnostics was disappointing. While my own billing inquiry was swiftly resolved, my wife encountered unprofessional conduct when attempting to address billing matters, leaving her emotionally drained. Moreover, I personally reached out to Quest Diagnostics, recalling previous successful interactions, only to encounter exceedingly rude customer service that abruptly hung up on me before the billing issue could be resolved. Consequently, we have chosen to discontinue our association with Quest Diagnostics and feel compelled to advise others against utilizing their services, as their customer service failed to meet our expectations.

Quest Diagnostics literally sucks. If you schedule an appointment, you still have a lengthy time to wait. if you don't, you practically have to wait hours. They remain low staff and their clinics are small not everyone has a place to sit down. Furthermore, if you make an appointment with their stupid automated retard, you will never hear your schedule appointment date and time. I wanted to confirm that I did pick the proper date and time and it won't give you that option. If you call back or go to their website, you are out of luck. There is no way to find out as far as I can tell as I've tried over the phone and on their website. Their specialists are great folks, but everything else sucks.

My friend was sent to Quest Diagnostics lab in Anderson, California for necessary labwork and has had nothing but problems.He has paid them when he got his blood drawn and some times they have charged him twice saying they had to bill the labs seperately and then he receives a bill for the labs that is over $800.My friend's insurance pays for his lab work 100% so this company is getting paid 3 times for just one set of lab work? Something is seriously wrong here. Just recently my friend received a letter saying that Quest Diagnostics sent his account to a collection agency!This is rediculous!! They were paid by his insurance company and had him pay them a "co-pay" at the time they did his labs so he shouldn't have gotten a bill at all!! Now they want to make his life harder by sending his account to a collection agency. These people should be investigated for fraud for charging patients,their insurance & then trying to charge them again for services they've already been paid for. Sending a patients account to a collection agency after receiving payment twice is not making this company look good at all! It shows they are dishonest,greedy and they do not care about their patients at all. It makes me wonder how many other people have they done this to. How much money have they gotten by triple dipping?? My friend is a type 1 diabetic so his labs are necessary to keep him alive and these people have the nerve to deny him service and send his account to collections after they were paid twice for his lab work. We've learned we can not trust this company for sure!!

Went to Maryville illinois location had appt 1120 got there at11am checked in from kiosk took all info even showed my appt and they said I never checked in very upset when I was told get to you when I can. Not happy about her comment when I did check in20 min early very rude staff.

Very stressful experience. Oct 16, 2023. I checked in and entered my insurance information at station in waiting room. Technician also asked for my insurance card, I was then told had $271.00 co-pay ( which I have never had to pay.) I indicated I wanted to check coverage before paying this amount. Technician then proceed to draw blood from my left arm. During process of switching to second tube, the needle came out of the vein. Technician then selected different site on same arm, but could not find a vein on second attempt. Technician told me I had lotion on my arm and that's why needle popped out of vein. I did not have any lotion on my skin and this was verified by second staff member in the room. I asked second technician to try my right arm. The technician could not get enough blood for all the tests on third attempt. My doctor really needed the blood work so I allowed a fourth stick before a complete set of specimens was obtained. Both staff members did offer support and comfort. When I returned home, I had bruises on both arms ( and I have pictures). I also called my insurance to check coverage and was informed I zero co-pay for blood work. Quest just have to file claim.
I am bringing this to your attention in order for you to assess the protocols you have in place to prevent situations like this. I would appreciate a response. This occurred at the 2025 Ralph Ave Brooklyn NY location.

There is something wrong with this company. At the patient's expense corporate has attempted to fully automate interaction with customers. They have eliminated the ability to make phone contact or access basic information. This creates a huge burden for patients and physicians alike.

If you have access to alternative lab services by all means use them.

I went to the Quest on Farmington Ave in Bristol, CT
Place was filthy. Literally no receptionist there, I only went there in person because I could not contact anyone over the phone as I was trying to make an appointment. The automated service is garbage wouldn't recognize the word yes tried it. A dozen times could not get it to work so I figured I'd go down there and make an appointment in person only you can't do that either as there is no receptionist in the office!!! There is only a kiosk that you were expected to deal with so I put myself in as a walk-in, then proceeded to wait over an hour and a half with the waiting room filling up with elderly people who also could not easily use the kiosk. They had to be helped by other customers in order to complete the process, after another half hour of waiting I gave up went home, called the corporate number and after 35 minutes on hold I finally got to speak to someone told them my experience they apologized and then said they could not help me schedule an appointment and company has a monopoly in the area of lab testing. That's the only reason they can get away with such awful terrible garbage customer service , they need to be canceled immediately bring back the human experience for the love of God everything is so much easier when you can just talk to someone these cheap bastards. Don't wanna pay a single person to answer the phone and they end up with a garbage company.

The automated appointment services trash. They have no humans you can speak to on the phone they don't even have a human being there that you can speak it a laptop on a stand a.k.a. a kiosk that I watch several elderly people have trouble figuring out and it took the other customers in the waiting room standing up and teaching them how to use it. Why in the world are we letting these companies destroy human interaction at every turn? Also, they can save a buck. This is disgusting. They are greedy evil people running this company, and all they care about is insurance denials scraping every last cent they can out of patience they don't care about their employees. They don't care about the customer service or the customers at all and they can't even do their job right they've made more mistakes than any other lab service in the country. I hope they go bankrupt, and that whoever in corporate made the decision to move away from human interaction contracts gonorrhea .

To Whom It May Concern;

I would like to file complaint about the service at Quest's lab located on Quimby Rd, San Jose, CA 95148. Recently, I took my mom to this location around 3:20PM for walk-in. I signed in the computer and told to be sit and wait to be call. I am 100% sure that there is no message that they are not guaranteed to be call when I signed in. However, around 3:45pm the lady walks out when she saw couple people walk-in. She announced no more walk-in. I walked up to her and ask her I was here before these people and I had been waiting for almost half hour. Even, the phlebotomist called my mom's name, but she won't let my mom in. She said only take appointment and no more walk-in. It is not 4:00pm yet and there is only one person with appointment before my mom but she won't allow my mom in. I was so mad and asked her to speak with the supervisor. She said "she is supervisor. Her name is Kristina." I asked her what is her last name, but she won't ask me. I don't know what kind of altitude and service is she? It is pretty bad service. I wasted my time for nothing. I will not bring my mom to this place anymore. I hope someone will look into this and make some chance. Otherwise, the business will going down for sure. Because no one want to come here anymore. Thanks

I am soo furious! I went to the Bristol quest in Farmington avenue in Bristol ct, I specifically asked the girl if my a-1c test was as on there and she said yes. So I took time off of work to go to my appointment and there were tests that weren't done and the order was still sitting there! Half of my blood work didn't get processed! So now I took time off of work for nothing snd I had to reschedule my appointment and gave to take more time off! I am nit happy!

Quest has a staffing problem. A script for diabetic testing was sent in.April. It was LOST in the system. Although I had an appointment and had the Doctors office send another Fax while I was in the Quest Southbury CT office for over 1 3/4 hours. Two other patients were taken before the THIRD technician came to draw blood. She then REFUSED to serve me because I was aggravated. You need to replace your new young staff in Southbury. This place was absolutely terrible. I was a walk in (which I fully understood that there was going to a long wait time) and patiently waited my turn when I got called in by Carmen who was so incredibly unhelpful and unprofessional. Telling me that there was no script sent over and while I ask if she can call the facility to get the script faxed over because I was having a hard time reaching them, rudely said that they're going to do the same thing to me. I understand that but she had no desire to help me then I had to run to my car to see if I had the physical copy and when I came back she said that I am wasting her time and I was so lazy that I couldn't get the hard copy and of course I went back at her as I am a healthcare professional I could NEVER in my right mind EVER speak to a patient like that. I said she was being unprofessional, unhelpful and rude and she snapped back saying that I was and that it was my fault that I chose to be a walk in rather than having a appointment which I didn't even mind waiting versus people that had appointments who were freaking out the whole time time I was waiting. I understand they were short staff but to call a patient lazy, wasting her time and unprofessional is actually disturbing. What if I was a elderly or disabled patient who had the same issues ? It's absolutely appalling and I will never go back to quest and will tell all my patients to never come to this unprofessional place. So disgusting.

I have been a customer of Quest Diagnostics for about 7 to 8 years and have never been treated or talked to as rudely as I was today at the company's service center inside the Allen Tom Thumb Store at 900 W McDermott, Plano, Texas. I did not have an appointment so accepted the fact that I was on "standby" and would be serviced after everyone with an appointment was seen. After setting in the waiting room for over an hour, finally, I realized that I was the only customer left. I waited for another 15 minutes to be called, I then asked if I could be seen. I was rudely told NO and to either "come back tomorrow" or "make an appointment". I said that I was only supposed to give a urine specimen. Again I was greeted with a very crude response and told to come back tomorrow or call for an appointment. I responded that there was no one else in the waiting room and I was on standby status. Finally, after several back and forth arguments, I was finally processed and then handed a specimen container (without comment or instructions). I can only assume that the worker may have either been overly stressed (she was working by her self) or that this was her typical customer relations profile. While waiting, I did notice a less than favorable interface with other customers (all of whom had appointments). After seeing the number of negative comments already submitted, I doubt that anyone will actually respond to my comments or even take action. I can assure you that I will take action...I will ask my doctor to please refer me to a different lab in the future.

Bad customer service. You can only contact their 800# instead of being able to speak with the actual location so hold time is 30 mins minimum. Customer service dept rushes you through the call and disconnected call when asked if I could take a surgery regarding the call. Rep was not clear on resolution of issue and had to be asked several times how they will be resolving the concern, which led to rep being rude

I had a 10 a.m. appointment to drop off a specimen @ the 8040 Clearvista Pkwy facility in Indianapolis, IN this morning. I arrived 10 minutes prior the appointment & checked in scanning the QR code I was given & was given a number. At 10:15, when I asked to drop off the specimen as I had a 10:30 appointment elsewhere, I was rudely told by a female technician to wait & I would eventually be called. After waiting 40 minutes, I told a male technician that I had waited all this time simply to drop off a specimen even though I still HAD NOT been called. This technician was understanding & I left the specimen with him. The first technician I encountered was rude. Apparently, having an appointment means nothing. I was late for the appointment that I had elsewhere as a result. If I can arrive 10 minutes early to make a scheduled appointment, then I expect the facility to respect my time & honor that appointment. This situation this morning was totally unacceptable.

Something terribly wrong with this company...second year in a row we have had the same issue! They ask for secondary insurance, but never bill them! Watched the tech enter the insurance company on the computer, yet I have had to give it to them multiple times!

Genesee County, Michigan, had labs drawn on 12-16-2022. The tech put the right code in for UA, but for blood draws did not put in the codes that were on my prescription from my doctor. Consequently, was rejected by insurance company for wrong codes. Called Quest and they said it was the doctor's fault for wrong codes, when in fact it was the fault of the technician. so all those codes should have been put in again by quest. But NO they said it still continues to be the fault of the doctor, which is bull crap. So 5 1/2 months later it still isn't resolved and now they are billing me for $556.00 for an employee screw up. So now I HAVE to go back to my Doctor to have the prescription with all the codes resubmitted again to Quest, who still can't get it right..So now my doctor has to fax all that again and who knows what happens to the fax once it's faxed again. So much incompetence. So disgusted with Quest will not use them again, their employees obviously aren't trained or just dont give a hoot and put any ole code in and that is not saying all the employees are like that. Would not recommend Quest, too many screwups, and way to much frustration for the customers trying to deal with a company that doesn't care about customer service.

This is absolutely the worst health services I have ever used!

To start of I scheduled my appointment in Seguin Texas I arrive to my appointment where I am called to the back. Right away the phlebotomist looks at my paper work then sends me to another room where he proceeded to help 2 other people. Then he calls me back to the room draws my blood and sends me away again. He then helps another 2 or 3 people before calling me back. Just to tell me he would be looking for a container for a 25 hour urine collection. Once again he helps someone else before calling me back to give me a container. I was there for over an hour it was ridiculous. His name was Francisco.

Next was waiting for results they give you a time period of a week or so we'll 3 weeks had past I had 6 of 14 results (which one of the 6 was just a duplicate) so I reach out asking about my other results. This is where I got the run around. First I was told there were no more results. Then I was told they are pending (non were in the pending section of the app). After that I was told they are taking a little longer. Well here I am over a month later still missing my results.

Now I am dealing with identity authorization basically I have answered 3 sets of questions 10 times and I keep getting locked out for 72 hours because they couldn't find someone I associated with. ( I'm assuming it's my grandfather who passed away) I'm not sure. But at this point I don't believe I'll ever be able to get my results.

Moral of the story do not trust quest. Do not go to quest. This place is one big scam. My doctor asked me to specifically go here and I will never do that again next time I'll be telling them no I can get the test done at a more professional establishment.

If I could rate 0 stars I would worst experience ever app sucks, service is terrible

I fasted today before my 10 am annual Dr. Appt. The lab ( previously Mid America Clinical Lab) is across the hall from my Dr., so always been easy to walk across the hallway to get labs done quickly. Went over at 10:30. New kiosk sign-in was ok, although lengthy. It gave me a time of 12:50 for my labs to be drawn! I wasn't going to set there for over 2 more hours, so left and googled the next nearest Quest lab. Website said phone number was disconnected or not correct. Called another Quest location and asked her about the problem with the phone, and she stated that the labs didn't have direct lines. So, why the number listed??? She finally made me an appt for the one I'd tried to call at 11:30 am. I hustled to get to the other side of town, only to get there with 5 people in waiting room that all were confused also and had been waiting a long time. Another kiosk to sign in, but asked for a code, which I hadn't been given. I finally knocked on the lab door at 11:40 and told her I had an appt. at 11:30 and she said they don't take appts. at that location. The communication was ridiculous! I left again without getting labs done. I would give Quest a 0 if I had the choice!

Today Oct17 i had blood drawn at the Quest Horsham Pa location. I am so impressed by the service that I wish to commend Sheryll Anne DiMitri, who waited on me today, and Miss "Poppy", who has waited on me a few other times. Each is very pleasant and very efficient while serving a steady stream of clients in this busy office. With employees such as these ( and a couple of African American young women in the recent past at this office and the now closed Floutown office whose names i can't recall) Quest has been and will remain my lab of choice.

I had an excellent experience at the 6900 Daniels Parkway Quest Diagnostics. I was late because of heavy traffic. The receptionist helped me check in and assured me it was ok.
The nurse drew my blood was fantastic. It's hard to find my vein. She succeeded on her first try. I highly recommend this site.
They have received poor ratings unjustifiably.

Employee phlebotomist J Tynese went above and beyond to assist me and accomplish my necessary blood draw and analysis. She stayed late and made numerous phone calls to analyze the prescription to make sure it was done promptly and correctly. She was polite and the blood draw was painless as well. Thanks so much.

I went to Quest Diagnostics in Waterbury, CT. West main Street. All the ladies are fantastic. All are kind and patient.one lady did stands out and goes above. Her name is Alex. She was sweet. She didn't mind that I was afraid of needles and didn't like blood tests. Again, great staff.. Alex just stood out. Thank You.

Quest in Cheshire, CT. I would give them the highest review. I have been going there for my lab work for years. They are extremely professional and caring and will go above and beyond to help solve any problem. For instance - my doctor's orders where nowhere to be found and even though I was on the phone with the office they could not seem to get the orders to Quest. However, Quest took over and managed to speak to the correct person and obtain the codes so that they could write the order themselves. Just a pleasure to go there.

I just cannot thank Quest lab in Norwalk Ct employee Donovan!!! He is AMAZING!!! I have terrible veins and he ALWAYS gets my blood!! He is kind compassionate and just an all around great man!!! A special shout out to Sunny at La Palma office for Quest. My parents came in with a box test they received in the mail. I couldn't be there in person with them, however Sunny was so kind and helpful in calling the Alzheimers study Number to figure out how to complete one of the tests. She didn't have to do that by my Parents And I are grateful for her kindness and thoughtful care in explaining the procedure and steps to helping us resolve the issues. Thank you Sunny!

Alyssa In La Mesa Is Perfect In Every Way. She's Good At Phlibotomy And She Was Very Pleasant,patient,proffessional And Helpful. I Was To Call The Office And Give My Medicare Card Number Because I Didn't Have It With Me When I Was There. It's Was Hard To Get In Touch With The Office But Alyssa Called Me And I Was Then Able To Give Her My Medicare Card Number And Use My Medi-medi Insurance. She Is Truley An Asset.

I'm A Quest Employee Who Been With This Company For About 3 Years I Never Worked For A Company Who Hire Horrible Surpervisors. When You Have A Medical Emergancy And You Are Not Authorized To Take Off Due To Your Team And Their Surrounding Teams Don't Have Anyone To Cover Thats A Bad Ordeal. When You Have A Surpervisor Who Looses Employees You Need To Question Their Ability To Do Their Job Not The People Whos Leaving Or Being Complained On So They Can Cover Their Self. The Columbus,Oh area need to be revamped starying with the managers & leads. All they do is go to lunch & shop on company time? Then they wonder why arre they failing in their duties to the PSC'S & IOP'S. This is why the customers aren't satisfied with the services. If the managers would sopend more time monitoring the bad employees intead of the good ones, it would be a great place to work.The Westerville manager has a phlebotomist who telks handicapped patients not to bring their service dogs in because shes afraid of dogs. The man was blibd for God's sake. Very rude to patients wgen they come in. There's one complaint on this sane phlebotomist, wgo was EXTREMELY rude to a higher up Quest employee, who she didnt know she was servicing. But, shes still employed there? On Aug,19th-2016 a patient came into the Brice Rd location in Columbus,Oh to have an employee drug screen done. She advised the 2 phlebotomist there of a horrible experience she had encountered earlier that day with this same westerville worker, ADRENA. The patient said,this worker treated an elderly lady very rude & trated gerself like she had dobe something wrong. She delt so low that she left the building. She drove an 1hr awsy, including a geavily traffic area to the Bice Rd l8cation to ever avoid going 5 mins away from her home to be serviced by the phlebotomist. Ensuring the PSC'S & IOP'S are runnibg correctly to service the patients.Stop sitting around gossiping about all of your employees, lying on people, acting like you dont know whats going on around you when your the blame for 95,9% of it & please stop worrying about where to go get fatter at the next restaurant. Denora need to stop worrying abouut her latch hook cabbage patch braids & get her face out of Kathy Bowlinger behind & just maybe, Denoora would see out of those out dated glasses to run the NORTH side. There's only 4 tood employees there who knows what to do. 2 senior phlebotomist in Dublin & 1 float, who is a male & the lady on Brice Rd. Team players are who each of them are!!!!! I just dont understand why some employees get away with leaving a site w/o permission, xan wstch african movies whike on the clock when the other coworker is servicing patients. He,"Lucky" has also left a whole bag of lavender tubes sitting overnight in the lab that needed to be tested & results released to the physician the next morning, FATAL ERRORS IN THE UTMOST WAY!!!!! HMMMMM, THATS WHY RESULTS DON'T GET TO THE OAIEBTS DR IN A TIMELY MANNER!!!!! The management sucks here @ Quest! The sales management is crap as well. They have their nose so far up the Dr behind that they throw the phlebotomist under the bus. Making promises to the Dr that they cant KEEP.THE MA BEED TO DO TGEIR JOBS BY PLACING DX CODES ON THE RX TO MAKE SURE BILLING IS DONE CORRECTLY SO THE PATIENTS DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT BEING ON THE PH WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR HOURS ON IN. STUPIDITY FOR A $ IN THEIR OWN POCKETS. THANKS LEIGHTON!!!! Management come to talk to you about complaints in regards to children playing in the lab, when ALL OF THESE OTHER ISSUES ARE GOING ON. WHY NOT HAVE A SIGN UP THAT SIMPLY STATES, NO CHILDREN ARE TO BE IN THE LAB UNLESS BEING SERVICED? WHAT PARENT WOULD WANT THEIR CHILD TOUCHING CONTAMINATED ITEMS & SCOOTING AROUND ON THE FLOOR??? YES,, I did tell the parent to reschedule or to come back without her children due to the 2 yr old child was being spun around by the arms of her brother. Accident waiting to happen!!!! This place is a UNORGANIZED ZOO and need to have a slue of SECRET SHOPPERS & UNDERCOVER BOSS'to go in the Columbus Oh region to see whsts realky going on!!!! A better team lead should have been picked other tgan tge one that was picked for Ms Lorraine because she's lazy & doesn't help out when she dlearly can see a wsiting area full of patients. "Don't let that position go to your head" How can you help your manager when you worked in a womens gealth care atmosphere? Msybe thats why you stand around & dont help. Im not mad because God will ALWAYS prosper me! I told my manager, I'll turn in my 3 uniforms on 8/22/16 along with my key to the PSC that I worked at. There's no way I'd never allow anyone to discount me or disrespect me in a sneaky way as this company did & as they do their fellow employees. All I need to say is I did my job with the EXCELLENT TRAINING THAT I WAS PROVIDED TO GO TO A DUMP OF A PLACE WHERE THE COMPUTERS ARE ALWAYS DOWN & NOTHING WORKS! NOR CAN THE MANAGER GET APPROVAL FOR ANY NEW NOTHING. A MULTI MILLION DOLLAR CO STILL OPERATING ON WINDOWS 7 & NO ROUTER. SETTING UP FOR HACKERS TO PLUG IN A USB CORD TO DOWNLOAD PATIENTS INFO. DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY IT DRUG SCREENING CUSTOMERS HAVE SEEN THE SYSTEM GO DOWN & SEEN THIS???. INVEST IN NEW MANAGEMENT & update computer software.IT sucks as well! Oatiebts come with UNITED HEALTH CARE INS to get charged. Only 3 phlebotomist i have seen tell the patients the TRUTH in regards to this matter. UNITED HEALTH CARE HAS A CONTRACT WITH LAB CORP & YOU WON'T BE CHARGED FOR USING THEIR LAB.THATSS A TRUE HONEST courtesy in the least bit. RUN TO LAB CORP SO YOU WONT BE BILLED!!!!!! Theres soooo muvh more I could say, but I'm sure if you read the score card on this company, you already know where im coming from, Gladthis horror ride is ovaaaaaaaa! Kelly, I hope you're in for their shenanigans. I see why Evelyn moved to another region. Im sure you will too. This company has the WORSE COMMUNICATION SKILLS THAT YOU EVER WANT TO SEE. Clean house & do it quickly before you go deeper.

I work for Quest, indirectly, as a paramedical examiner for their ExamOne subsidiary. They are thieves who don't take care of their own. They take work away from their mobile examiners by directing clients to go to their drawing centers so they don't have to pay examiners but they sure as hell expect the examiners to be ready and waiting when the clients won't go to their offices.
So it's no surprise to see they're rated as one of the worst companies here.
