I just did a chat with Kayla P. on the RCI website. She was so rude and hateful. My phone kept deleting my chats and I restarted them 4 different times. I could not help that my phone was doing that. I tried to explain but she just told me to stop deleting the chats.
It's no wonder everyone you talk that has timeshare and is dealing with RCI, that they are complaining and unhappy.
I started the chat because I want to cancel my membership with RCI. She told me it had expired 11/22 which is incorrect. I paid my membership dues to keep my account active in 11/22 for another year and I have proof of payment.
However that's just an example of the trouble you have with RCI.
I still want my membership canceled. If anyone wants to know why, other than all these problems and trouble they put you through.....its because you can't go anywhere you want to go during tge time yiu want to go even if you attempt to book a year in advance. They cater to Wyndham owners. If you do get to book something that is relatively close to where you want to go, RCI will tell you on the phone that you are oceanfront but when you check in....AFTER they've done git your money and points....the resort will tell you since you are an RCI member and not a Wyndham owner, you'll be across the street facing the dumpsters. This has happened to us multiple times so we are done.
We will be perfectly happy going to our home resort everyone we go in vacation. Obviously we love our home resort or we would've never bought there and kept it all these years.

ADVANCE TRAVEL contacted us to buy our 4 weeks of RCI getaways. They swindled me out of $1996 in promises of selling those weeks for 7200, knew it was to good to be true 5 months later nothing!!!! DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE THEY JUST WANT TO STEAL YOUR MONEY!!! STAY AWAY FAR AWAY, DISHONESTY RUNS RAMPANT.

Due to personal reasons we decided 2 years ago to cancel our RCI membership. We searched high and low how to legally cancel our membership. Finally, we found the document, "Terms & Conditions of RCI Points Subscription Membership" On page 13, #20 a. "Cancelling" it states "by telephone or in writing". So we called thinking it would be faster. Each time we got the runaround. But the third time, we were specifically told if we don't pay the fee, it will automatically cancel and they would not be able to take our points. Well 2 years later, we called to book a getaway to our home vacation only to find out RCI has been taking our points!!! Upon contacting RCI again a few days ago, We finally found out there is a form we have to fill out. Wow!!!! Wow!!!! Wow!!! In the meantime we lose our points because their policy says we have to stay members until we use our points (if we want to keep those points). We would rather give up our points than stay with them!!!

This email is to complain about the HORRIBLE customer service from Arianna B. I asked her to refund our money back to our credit card since February 15th and she never did. Today, I called and spoke with her just to be mistreated over the phone with her poor customer service. She was so rude and interrupted me multiple times as I was speaking showing she couldn't care less. It is totally unacceptable this lack of respect and kindness with a RCI Platinum member or any other customer.

Apparently, she is a supervisor and I wonder what type of leadership she can provide to her staff members when unfortunately, she can't lead with her example. I'm truly disappointed with Arianna B and it is a shame she gets to represent the name of RCI leaving behind her a very bad reputation with her terrible communication skills and lack of kindness over the phone that impacts greatly in a negative way. I will never recommend RCI to anyone because of Arianna B!

I hope someone that actually cares for a RCI member read this email and follow up with me regarding this matter sooner than later!

RCI -BEWARE! Unless you are able to document the representations made by "travel advisors" - beware. Wrong, incomplete and sometimes false info by these supposedly trained people is a prevalent problem. Very mad about the extra $ I had to pay because of the incompetent people at RCI. Suggested to a supervisor when the issue was elevated that their attorneys look carefully at the misleading disclosures that are made.

I have been a member for a number of years, and sometimes expect a bit of flexibility at times when you find you need it, but not this time once again. Having to cancel a booking because of circumstances, I find that the cancellation policy which has been pointed out to me by some uninterested member of RCI, which appears rigid, unbending not negotiable or even interested policy, just a business nothing else. When booking my wife forgot, ,omitted the protection procedure. We were previously recommended to try and sell the weeks which we have tried, but at one of the resorts they have a red notice saying 'PERMANENTLY CLOSED' so who is going to try and buy that! We find out about this too late when nobody is interested obviously thinking SCAM. The listing referred to the reception area but it did not say that, but just give the impression that it was all closed.I have taken this up with whoever decided to reiterate the cancellation policy several times! but not interested in my point of what I have outlined and tried to put the blame on the resort, when in fact our contract was with RCI and they should have known! But again no interest or concern just hard headed we are doing nothing. I tried for consideration in at least to get our points refunded or change the booking for another date, NOT INTERESTED.

Been a owner with RCI at least 17 years and have had issues in the past but none like this. Recently book a trip with the wife to Jamaica. Was quoted a all inclusive fee of over $2400, and a discount if you prepaid, which I did. Unfortunately they neglected to tell me that was per person and I only found out after confirmation, the resort wont do anything because RCI made the reservation and the supervisor at RCI told me my only option was to cancel my trip. Instead of arguing I asked her to pull the call which she refused to do, even told me if she did pull the call it wouldnt change the fact that the resort is who takes payment, nevermind being quoted 1 price and then being charged another, just go ahead and cancel your anniversary trip.

I call RCI to book find me a hotel if I was told that it was going thru a third party I would have booked it myself.The young lady booked me a studio instead of a suite.I told her one person she put two.I was supposed to have family over and spend time with my grandchildren one evening.That did not happen because of the mistake the girl made I could not spend time with my grandchildren Saturday evening.My family could not cancel there hotel so I had to go .I am so disappointed and I gave to point .for what plus pay.I have a two bedroom timeshare .I was supposed to get something something similar.I call back three times to speak to three rep and they could not help because it went thru a third person.I even call the hotel bot they want extra money.

Spoke with a lady named Margaret she was very rude and unpleasant very unprofessional. She booked my trip and now money is missing out of my account I have reached out to RCI several times about this and no response. Unbelievable I've been with company over 10 years and now RCI employees cannot be trusted

So, RCI has been calling me 5 or more times a day for more than a year trying to push me to go somewhere, even during the pandemic when nothing was open to go anywhere. I finally had to threaten to report them to the FCC and the Do Not Call but was asked to allow RCI to handle it. I did and they have for the most part although Vacation Village started calling my home and my husbands work to continue the harrassing calls to make reservations before my points expire.. Today I have been trying to make reservations for 4 MONTHS AWAY and can not make any as everything is already booked... I am seriously considering selling my time share especially with the calling starting again.. Somehow when RCI people are questioned about anything when those annoying calls keep coming they can not answer... very disappointed with the lack of professionalism and lack of help trying to even find something for 4 MONTHS AWAY... AND JUST WHAT IS THAT MAINTENANCE PAYMENT FOR AND THE MEMBERSHIP DUES AND THEN THE ADDITIONAL CHARGES TO RESERVE... This is just to expensive for retired couples to afford.

Paid membership for 5 years,which is about to end July, 2022. It included a free trip. Due to covid, we haven't been able to travel. I've made 3 attempts to see if I can take it before it expires, but no answer. Or at least some compensation. This is the first time being disappointed.

RCI Exchange website is one of the worst unfriendly user websites that I have ever had to use for personal business. It's too bad we actually have to pay for a website that cannot function and boots you out multiple times when trying to schedule anything!

If you are a member of RCI time share ( global travel) beware of reservations over seas during these covid times. They are profiting under the cicumstances of keeping your fees ( the exchange fee and guest fees)
associated with your reservation cancelation.
The destination counry may not be closed at this time,which is a requirement to a refund) but the hoops you need to go thru makes it very difficult to comply to enter the country during these times to enjoy a vaction.
Further more RCI will make a exception (if you complain) to credit you the exchange fee if you rebook another vacation within 2 months. Dont you love stipulations. And I just love how you cant get a word in edgewise to voice your disbelief or unhappiness with a supervisor or mangement. Thank you so much RCI.

I have been working with RCI to have them return my cost for 3 nights for a resort in Colorado. I keep getting emails from different people blaming me for the filthy condo they took my money for!! I sent pictures to show them how it looked and again my fault!! I called RCI when it happened "Jose" who answered was so sweet and he would flag the place so no one else would rent it in that condition and let RCI know I had called JOSE DIDN'T DO EITHER OF THOSE THINGS!! I have been a member over 20yrs! Sent pictures!! Was told that they told me I was renting thru Expedia and another supplier and they also told me I should check reviews on these rentals!! I never was told that! So want to remind people that be sure you do your own research on rentals and always ask who you really are renting from!!!!!

I had to cancel 2 trips due to Covid. When rebooking, they wanted fees, more fees, etc.....penalty on points as well. I wrote 2 e-mails asking for concessions, and no reply to both. Out of frustration, I paid the original timeshare company to buy it back from me for $1,500 which I paid just to rid myself of RCI. From now on, it's VRBO for me. Better value, no obligation, can cancel with no penalty, much better availability. Never again will I get conned by RCI. They overpromise and under deliver.

We've been with RCI for over 20 years, I inherited my timeshares from my parents. Not only do you have to pay annually for the timeshare, you have to pay a membership fee to RCI and then pay an exchange fee when you wish to book a vacation, AND then pay to extend your vacation time if you aren't able to use the weeks before they expire, I have already paid the membership fee, why should it EVER EXPIRE? Also had a search on for a trip out west for 2022, which I began in AUG 2020, for some reason it just dropped off, agent at RCI said they have no history of "searches", they didn't even tell me they dropped the search, I just happened to look at my account. My time is backing up because of lack of vacation time at work, not sure what to do. So frustrating.

Have an expiring deposit at the end of this July. Haven't received a hit in two years. This is the first time ever that we have not received a hit. RCI refused to extend deposits due to Covid. RCI had zilch inventory unless you wanted to visit Covid hot states. It seems like all do with RCI is spend money on combining deposits. I would like for RCI to please extend my expiring deposit for one year at no cost to me or allow me to combine my expiring deposit with another deposit at no cost.

I purchased a travel package through RCI but was unable to use my cruise certificates due to the global pandemic. When I called to book a cruise using one of my certificates I was told that I could not because they had expired. During the pandemic, I was told that the cruise certificates would be extended due to all of the cruise lines being shut down. Why would you not extend certificates for customers that were unable to use them due to the global pandemic. The only way to make this right is for RCI travel to either refund it's customers for the cost of the package or extend the certificates. This is by far the worst customer service I've received in my entire life!!! I will be making a complaint to the BBB. No one should have to go through this horrible situation that I have experienced.

The customer service received today was disappointing and not helpful at all. This kind of service will make you sell the property you have with this company and explore other options. As a owner of multiple units I am highly disappointed at the lack of resources/ solution options to my situation. We are definitely reevaluating out decision to buy with this company.

I am having a challenge getting through Global Grand Vacation CLub bookings via. RCI. - Called for the entire month of April 2021 - left messages - sent emails. Still no response. Meanwhile my points are expiring. Very disappointing.

I payed off for a package for a cruise in 2019. In 2020 with the pandemic I was unable to travel. I was not informed by RCI that I could loose all my money if I was unable to travel. The inability to travel was caused by the pandemic. All the cruise lines had cancelled all their cruises. I think that my money should be refunded or that their should be an extension for the package when regular cruises are returned.

My wife has given RCI £1500 for a holiday that was still to be decided by us and we had 18 months to decide. However my wife recently died and I have been told that I can't get my money refunded. OK so there is a clause which they conveniently put into their terms and conditions about being unable to get a refund, but surely extenuating circumstance must prevail, and surely again compassion and humanity which they appear to be very short of must take priority. I was told by one one of their managers that if they gave the money back to everyone who contacted them regarding a bereavement they would be out of business, callous or what. Does know what I should do next.

I had a very complicated request, stopping a points week and keeping my points and my week, week. Misty from web help was excellent. Very pleasant every time I tried to explain what I wanted. Once she understood what I wanted she got right on in and helped . She explained the process very clearly.

I just attended a sales meeting on Sunday August 24th at the Grandview at Las Vegas. Our agent was fantastic, but his manager, Nancy, clearly has some substance abuse problem. I am a Registered Nurse and was very concerned for her. She was slurring her speech, glassy-eyed, and was hyperactive throughout her entire sales pitch. Please get her help.

Earlier today, I spoke with one of RCI's most exceptional Customer Service Representatives, named Michael. He told me that I had reached the corporate office in Cincinnati, OH. Michael was very courteous, and helpful. Together, we were able to resolve an issue that had been ongoing since Spring of last year. He went above and beyond to help me complete our reservation for this year, where we plan to take our granddaughter to Disney World for her 5th birthday. It was an absolute pleasure to deal with Michael. He is the BEST!*(He should get a raise, in my opinion!)* Or at the very least, a pat on the back, and the title, "Best Customer Service Representative Ever!"

We have been RCI members for over 20 years and have had helpful contacts, successful exchanges and never had a week expire unused. Good service if you know how to use their system and deposit early.
