I purchased my flights through Orbits and they only gave us one seat on a leg of our flight. I contacted United on a Saturday morning at 8:30 fully expecting a long wait. I was able to get through immediately with no wait whatsoever! The agent I spoke to was very friendly and solved the problem instantly.

I wish to thank and commend Ms. Stephanie S. gate agent working the information desk in Houston airport IAH. She was extremely helpful, kind, and charming. She routed my bags for me, after I missed my flight due to weather problems the day and night before my flight departure. It is employees like this woman who make an Airline like UAL successful! I'm very grateful for the charming helpful way she made everything work out for me!

The only previous good feelings I've ever had with United was the obvious: a successful flight. Until this last trip. They put me on the PreCheck list (for some reason) and I went right thru the line with shoes and sweater on and liquids in my bag. The flights were on time and, as usual obviously, successful. So that apparently is all it takes to make me happy enough to write this little review. Thank you, United.

I did't have any problems at all. I think her name was Rose and she was extremely helpful. She needs a raise.

I Flew Untied Airlines in May from Sioux Falls to Eugene, Oregon for My Sons funeral. I had the best flight I have ever had .Everything just fell into place and thus making it much less stress for me under the circumstances I was going through. Thankyou United !

My husband and I were voluntarily "bumped" on the Sept. 18 flight from Anchorage to Seattle. I want to comment on the professionalism and organization of Jeffrey (Jasper?), the gentleman at the desk. He was cam, cool, and collected. He asked for people who might consider flying later, then followed it up with tickets for us with Alaskan and then back with United. He was in charge, but professional, and really gave great customer service. Hats off to him!

Recently flew from Newark, NJ to San Francisco CA on Sep. 15th Flt 1287. The flight attendant crew was the best crew I have flown with in a very long time. They were friendly, very helpful and seemed to enjoy their work. Rate them A+..

I was struggling thru Ohare Airport in Chicago with my elderly mother.A United employee saw we needed help and stopped to assist us.She spent over 30 minutes getting us the help we needed. She was on her way home but took the time to make sure we were at the right gate and on time.We never would have made it without Linda Flaster taking the time to help a struggling stranger.I do not know how to thank her.Pat Johnson

I neede help getting a refund. I talked with a united customer service agent name Burnett. She was so kind and pleasant and very helpful. If all people would treat the customer that way how great it would be. She sounded like she enjoyed her job. She made my day which did not start out so well. Thank you, Burnett!

I have a great story:
In Rapid, after my son, John carried in my six bags, I said goodbye, checked in, and headed upstairs finding that due to a storm in Denver, three DEN flights were backed up. I was relieved bc I had specifically avoided going to Denver. I was going to Houston, only to learn United was going to use THAT plane to get caught up with Denver flights. I was sad, disappointed, not to mention, angry. Not wanting to take bags back, call my son, or do it all over, I called United.

After one hour they booked me on a DEN flight leaving in 10 minutes! I took off downstairs, butted in line, begging them to help me get onto that flight, the less-than-friendly service rep. said, "I don't think you can make it." Once again I begged, "Can we try?"
She rolls her eyes, asks how many bags I had, rolled her eyes again and called to tell the person upstairs,"A young woman is coming." (That was nice)
I once again go through security, hearing my name called once...twice...and then "Last call for Passenger Swanson."

I take off from security carrying my shoes and bags and announce at the gate, "I'm Jackie Swanson!" This VERY unfriendly service rep, less friendly than the first, said, "You're too late!"
I said, "What? I was in security!"
She said, "We called you three times!"
I said again, "I was hurrying! United has done this twice now!" I said to her while a full house at the gate listened! She again said, "Too bad."
I said, "You can't do this to me!" She said she could. I asked where my six bags were and she said they threw them off. She was mad at me! Ha
I went to the window, still with an audience and saw that the plane had backed out and turned toward the runway. I looked and the pilot looked right at me. In desperation, I waved him back.
Knowing it was futile, I sat down, put my head in my hands, and went back downstairs to the checkin gate, ready for plan C.

I raced down, so upset, and as the new passengers had arrived to fly out, I looked at my new BFF and sayid, "They left me."
She was as shocked as I was. I stood there as that crowd watched us look at each other in disappointment. I wasn't sure what to do next. Finally, I walked away forlorn, not knowing what to do. I step on the escalator.
Within minutes I hear, "Miss Swanson?" I turn and looked. The crowd of 25 passengers looked and stared at me. She said,"Hurry, the pilot has turned the plane around for you and is coming back for you!"
"What?"
The crowd yells in unison, " Hurry!"
I run up the escalator, go through security for the third time, run to the gate, and Miss Unfriendly says, "Breathe." I couldn't look at her. They moved the walkway, I walked in, looked at the cockpit, once again our eyes met. I mouthed thank you with my hand to my heart and he gave me a thumbs up, I buckled in, and up we went. Later, the steward came to me and said, "Are you the woman who waved the pilot back?" I told him yes, but never believing he'd come for me. He said that in his 20 years, he had never seen that.
That United pilot did something that not only restored my faith in humanity, but United Airlines. Many people there won't forget his kindness either.

A kudo to a United agent
Unfortunately, we do not know the agent's name, but he was at the gate in Albany for flight 481 on Monday, July 22, originally scheduled to leave Albany at 5:53 PM to Chicago for a connecting flight to Los Angeles.
Earlier, when we were checking our bags, another agent informed us that the flight had been delayed and we would have 15 minutes from landing to catch the connecting flight, that the only flight from Chicago to LA that night was fully booked. (She said that no request could be made to have the connecting flight delayed a few minutes since the pilot in Chicago would then lose his place in line. She then booked us for a flight the following day at about 6 AM, although we could try for standby when we arrived in Chicago. If not available, we would have to stay over in Chicago at our own expense.
When we arrived at the gate, we asked the agent if we could arrange to get off the plane first and run to the connected flight which might possibly be a little late in leaving. The agent said there would be no time to catch the plane but that a flight to Cleveland (at the next gate) was loading and he could book us on that flight and on a connecting flight to Los Angeles. He made the change and ran to the next gate to make certain we could get on the plane before the door closed. It worked perfectly and we arrived in Los Angeles at the same time as the Chicago flight we would have missed and our bag, which was on the Chicago flight, was already on its way to the baggage claim area.
We regret we did not obtain the agent's name, but United should be proud to have such an employee.

We left our hand bag with camera's in the baggage area at Orlando. I would have hated loosing the vacation pictures. I would like to praise United employees Sonia Rose and Linda Durapau on their great customer service. They are the type of service representative we all need in our workplace today.

I had a horrible mess with my tickets that had be cancelled by an inattentive attendant in Denver when three people had been booked into the same seat (I had my reservations for that seat since April) on my flight out to Dulles from San Jose and I couldn't check back in to Dulles to return to San Jose when it was time to return home.
Thank goodness you have a fabulous employee named Ms. M. Cromwell who spent over an hour getting my reservations straightened out in time to get on my flights and get back home in time to go to work.
My husband and I have flown United for many years and have seen the service go downhill to the point that I was ready to switch airlines for both my domestic and international flights.
My wonderful experience with Ms. Cromwell has changed my mind and we will continue to be loyal United patrons. She makes a difference and should be the standard that your employees are judged by! I hope you will pass this on to her since I'm very sure that compliments are few and far between. Your company is extremely fortunate to have such a dedicated person working for you. Sincerely, Karen Ann Ayers

My daughter arrived 25 minutes before her departure after traveling by train and bus to arrive at LAX from San Diego.
The customer service agents were not very sympathetic and the line was long to check-in. It was very clear she was not going to make her flight.
I called the 800 number and the gentleman was able to re-book her on a flight leaving an hour later. We would like to thank UA for accommodating her needs.

THIS IS A COMPLIMENT TO ROSIE HERRERA SER/REC in IAH (Houston) who very graciously got my husband and I on a flight home to Denver last night (June 7, 2013). Our flight into Houston had been delayed due to weather and we were too late to make our original connection to Denver. We were told (at first) that we would have to spend the night in Houston (at our own expense) and fly out the next morning at 6:00 A.M. Rosie graciously continued to look and found 2 seats for us at 9:00 that night and got us on them. THANK YOU ROSE HERRERA. Please give this helpful, friendly employee a commendation.

Thank you to customer service rep. Rosie Herrera for helping us find seats on a flight to Denver from Houston on Friday June 6, 2013. Our flight form Ft. Lauderdale to Houston had been delayed to weather and we were told that we would not be able to get home to Denver that night, but would have to spend the night in Houston (at our own expense) and fly out the next morning at 6:00 A.M. She found 2 seats for us leaving that night at 9:00. THANK YOU ROSIE HERRERA. I am trying to find a way to let UAL know about you.

Thank you to Roberta, agent at the Denver United counter, for helping my sister, who is suffering from dementia, get to her gate,B79, yesterday 5/28/13.
I explained the problem to Roberta and she immediately said that she would take care of her as I was flying out on an earlier United flight in the opposite direction.
That is really good customer service. She never hesitated but went right to my sister and explained that she would make sure she got to her gate.
Kudos to Roberta!
