My mother has a $45 dollar unlimited prepaid plan with them and had to purchase two refill cards equaling the 45 dollar amount and installed them on her phone, well alltel has taken it upon themselves to give her 10c a minute instead of the plan she signed up for because it was done off of two different refill cards but on the same day! These people will come up with any excuse to take your money and get more out of you. They want her to pay another 45 dollars to get what she was suppose to receive in the first place. Their service sucks, the customer service is worse and the whole entire company needs to be SHUTDOWN!!

i deployed to iraq 2 years ago and brought my orders in to get the account frozen. after a month of training i called altell to have the plan frozen, the lady on the other line told me that they had no copys of my orders and i would have to fax them in (hard to do on a flight line and from iraq with no fax). so i mailed a copy of orders to my mother to bring into a local store and they said it was good. after i got back from my deployment my phone was cancelled and i owed them $640.00. so i went to the store that i gave the orders to the first time and pointed out the lady that i gave the orders to and the manager said that cant be right she is a model employe and i would have to pay the amount to get the phone turned back on. point of the story if you need a phone dont go to altell now AT&T on dell range BLVD in cheyenne WY

I have a blackberry curve, I choose to sign the two year contract- it meets my financial needs. But I find that before the contract period is up, I cannot buy accessories! Case in point you no longer carry batteries. I have to keep my phone plugged in, plus I have to take the battery out to reset! The phones are not lasting for 2 yeas. I can't afford to cancel the contract to get another phone! I do not want go to another company, cause I'm happy with Alltel! But why don't you keep replace items for people that have 2 years? Plus my daughter went into the Rockingham Store in NC, she had to sign up for a contract, but wouldn't let her keep her old number, cause I wasn't there, but they forgot to cancel it, so I have been paying for a phone for two months that they forgot to cancel! I've been a Alltel customer for A very long time! I have been laid off and you are costing me uncessary charges, plus my phone (Blackberry) is not helping me please look into this and see if I can get any help! I have called, but received my bill today and nothing has been changed! Holly Henley.

We had Alltel cell phones for over 10 years. We received a paper bill every month, and we paid it. On a trip, our cell phone quit-- glad there was not an emergency. Back home the Alltel/Verizon store said they had stopped service in this state. "Didn't you get a letter?" they asked. No letter. They did not know when the service stopped. I tried to get a refund for the 2 months when we had no service. We had to buy new phones. The billing people said they had no record of terminated Alltel service in our state. Why don't they stop answering questions. No answers are better than dumb answers.

I have just about had it with this company! They send me text messages saying the bill is due but THEY NEVER SEND ME BILL EVEN THOUGH I REQUESTED ONE!!!! This has happened again and again and again!!! They claim that we never requested paper billing when, in fact, we have requested it, quite strongly, I might add. Then the agent tried to blame the postal service for not delivering it. We are so getting ready to leave Altell in the dust.

I use to think that Alltel stood high in the ranks as far as phone service until.... Verizon took over most of the area. I live far out in our county and had the best service even cancelled our home phone. Recently I purchased two m,ore phone for my sons making a total of four and suddenly we no longer can get online or have to stand with one foot up arm extended and the microphone on. lol Really, to top it off paid my bill on July 31st when bought new phones and went to pay the bill on Aug 30th and at 1202 pm they were off with a bill of almost $300. wth total bill $500+ where did that come from and why wont someone talk to us. Been a coustomer for 10-12 years and feel as thought they have breached my contract by not providing acceptable service.

Alltel Customer service called my daughter's phone saying we should considering getting a texting plan to avoid overage charges. Ok.. I'm thinking... I have a teenage daughter. I have had the unlimted family texting plan for the last two yrs. Must be a mistake!!Low and behold the bill came in two days later (almost a month late) to the sum of 789.00. All of which were texting fees. Excuse me!! I called CS and talked to a young girl....(most of them sound like the are 20yrs old). All she could tell me was to let my bill go late ( oh she was nice enough to wave 350 $ of that bill)...and they would lock my account and then I could talk to someone else that could help me!??! Next bill was just as much around the tune of 730.00, Long story short, I finally was able to speak with a mature lady who was knowledgeable enough to scan my prior bills and find the one that indicated I had the unlimited texting plan. She used that bill and matched it with the other bills that didn't indicate it, discovering the monthly bill was the same and had been the same for yrs. It was a pain to make call after call but eventually Problem was solved. Apparantly while they are doing the Verison/Alltel buy-out something got scrambled. I was thinking about getting their wireles modem but think I will pass and stick with charter. I totally agree their CS needs to have better trained techs and more mature persons to deal with customers. Unfortunately, Im stuck with them. They are the only cell phone carrier that has a reliable signal where I live.

Had Alltel for 4 years or so. No more issues than other companies UNTIL I switched services. They said I had an oustanding bill and sent it straight to collections. I received no bill or correspondence beforehand. They said it was my responsibility to call them to make sure I had no outstanding issues seeing as my online account had been deacctivated when my account was closed!?!?!? They also said it was company policy to automatically send outstanding bills directly to collections AS SOON as an account is closed instead of billing the previous account holder!!!!!!!

Alltel just notified me that they are discontinuing my wireless internet service...so far, I still have my two phones but my contract with the company has been satisfied and I will be shopping for an alternate service for phone and internet access.

I need a contact person who is familiar with internatinal calling. I have called twice and gotten people who are just trying to read off their screen and are not confident at all in what they are saying. Canl you give me number and extension of someone who can really help efficienlty?

why can i not talk to an freaking person in this company... i am seriously thinking of switching carriers, this is rediculous.. also all i want to do is have a number blocked from my phone. i sent a text to the 8888 number. and this guy is still calling me and texting me. I need to know how to block a number

..never in my life have I had to deal with people like this. Absolutley NO ONE knows what the hell is going on with-in that company. Depending on what person you talk to..you get a different answer every time. And I've been lied to multipal times about billing issues. I've had all I can take of Alltel.

I have been a loyal customer at AlltelWireless for over four years. None of my payments have been late and I have not had any problems with Alltel until recently. Last month, they overcharged me for almost $150.00. This month, I have spoke to over 20 different Alltel reps and no one has even the slightest clue about what goes on at Alltel or what to do to fix problems. Reps are making decisions that even "managers can't do!" They sent me the WRONG replacement phone and told me I could keep the milestone they sent me because it was their mistake. I was suppose to have a back and battery sent to me and a brand new milestone (which I did receive), but I called to make sure I had the return address right to send back my damaged HTC wildfire phone and they said if I did not send back the milestone they would charge my account for almost $500.00. Why would I pay $500.00 for a phone when I can cancell my entire plan for $200.00? This has been the WORST service by far. The notes they write in my account is NOT what I was told and apparently, they write the notes to their convinence. No one knows anything about the company or what type of decisions they can make. I use the phones on my plan as business phones and I have three lines. One line has not been active for two and a half weeks because of techinal issues. I WILL be cancelling my service by Friday and looking for another service provider. I completely agree with every comment on here that is negative. I have never had this many issues with one company before. Even managers and supervisors don't know who other reps or managers are. They have been nothing but a headache and I am looking forward to switching to another provider. Alltel is the WORST!!!!!!!

I have been an loyal Alltel customer for over 9 yrs. Currently I have 3 lines. Alltel use to provide the best customer service at great prices. Drastic changes have happened over the last two years leaving their customers very unhappy. The call centers are unable/unwilling to help solve problems and don’t seem to be able to answer basic questions. Their billing department has had several issues and it takes hours/days to get them corrected. My calls are constantly dropped and other phone services are beyond horrible. As a former loyal Alltel customer I say don’t switch to Alltel if you have a choice. I am leaving as soon as my contract is up.

Alltel is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. Our bill is a surprise every single month. I've been trying to switch out my phones because mine's super crappy, and first I couldn't because my phone was (and I'm quoting their technician here) "Old as sh**". Today I call to change to a newer phone and they tell me that because I'm in "in sprint's service area and not theirs" they can't do it, and now my old phone isn't working either! So here I am stuck with no phone, unable to get a hold of the agency on either phone line. Stupid freaking idiots man. I've had them charge me for calls to Egypt, charge me random roaming, charge me to change my plan, charge me for stuff I didn't buy (FOR MONTHS!). Not to mention they are rude and disrespectful every time I call them. I would ditch them but there's nothing else in this area.

I am not one to complain, but after the poor service and phone glitches I have experienced recently, I am livid with this company. It is not one representative in particularly, it is a culmination of being told misleading information and having a phone that has poor service and constantly gives me trouble. My Samsung Galaxy S has given me more issues than any other phone I have ever used: it constantly freezes up, has no service, and doesn't deliver messages when it says it has. Upon speaking with a representative, I was told there was nothing that could be done, and I have to wait until my contract is up. Furthermore, our internet card has been very slow in the past year, and I took it to the Alltel store to see what we could do to fix this. The representative informed me to call technical support to rectify the situation. After calling and waiting several times for the next available open line, I never was able to talk to a representative. I am beyond frustrated. This is very poor service, and I am unhappy due to these recent happenings. My family and I have always been loyal Alltel customers, and I would hate for this issue to be the reason we leave your company.

The internet access for payments online is absolutely the worst I have ever had to deal with. It takes forever to actually get to the portal to submit payment. I hate it. Seems like with all the money they make off of their customers, they could have an easier payment access method!!!!!!

I have just had experience with customer service with a genuine and legitimate grievance, and was given no consideration at all over an employee who had been dishonest with me and has since been let go. Because they couldn't verify with him what I said, they denied consideration of nmy grievance. I am not at all surprised at the rating of TERRIBLE - my rating would be REALLY terrible!

My name is James Campbell phone number 910-217-8734 I have had the worst experience with trying to stay with alltel in life.I have been told 10 different stories why I cant keep the same number.I had the service I started a new account now my phone is not working.I explain I was waiting on a job to callthat didnt help.At one point I paid the bill in the store it was credited to another customer.I like the service.Why would 6 people tell me 6 different things and phone still not working.

I am having problems with Alltel after they threatened to close my account with over usage of a unlimited data plan. They agreed to waive early termination fees of all phones on my account. But afterwards they are charging me for early termination fees on 2 phones. I had 4 phones on the account. They said that I'm not in their service area and agreed to end the contract. But now they are saying that I was in their service area but in reality I wasn't, I was roaming at my home. I had tethering on my phone with unlimited data and they cancelled my contract because I went over 2GB of data. Alltel is a bunch of crooks and if I knew how to start a class action lawsuit against them, I would!

I agree 100% with every post here. Alltel SUCKS! i have been with alltel for 7 years. I have never had an issue until i got my blackberry. Alltel did a update and it disabled all my message/text capibilities. called and they said i had to enter a helpdesk ticket. What kind of bs is this? after calling 5 times about this help desk ticket my issue was never resolved and i had to actually buy a new phone when i had insurance. So now there has once again been an update and now my windows phone is screwed now. Once again, called customer service and told that my phone was fine. i can't do any messaging on my phone so its not fine. I was told once again to call back and get them to enter a help desk ticket. This is crap. I am so waiting for August when my contract is over, i am dropping alltel asap!

I recently took out a Lifeline service phone with Alltel. And already they have dropped the ball with me, AND my upstairs neighbor as well, 3 months out of four. To top it off, a chit of a girl "sales assistant" at the local Alltel store I originally went to asked me id I had thought about UPGRADING service! The implication was that "Lifeline was a problem for a lot of people, and the $40 per month plan would stop all that". That's a Federal Felony, and it's called Bait and Switch. That was made a crime in the 1972 Fair Credit Reporting Act, and again in the 1978 Telecommunications Act. I told this child this, and she got suspicious of me, and wouldn't give me anymore information. Here I was, trying to tell her NOT to do this, or she might go to jail (if she said it to the wrong person) and she got uppity with me! My neighbor asked me to drop off her monthly payment on the correct day at the Alltel store in Payette Idaho. Their computer was "offline" and they could not post the payment to my neighbor's account until two days from then! And then THEY TURNED OFF HER SERVICE!!! The bastards. I am going to make a formal complaint with the Idaho Public Utility Commission, and I am going to try very hard to see if I cannot impair Alltel's right to continue offering Lifeline service here in the Treasure Valley. That's a regulated form of service, even if it is offered by a Cellular company. I can only hope.

For months now, I've been having a religious experience with your company every time I try to pay my bill on line! One would think that you'd want to make this a fairly easy endeavor, but oddly you seem to want it to be an experiment in futility! I've just wasted 15 minutes trying once again to pay my bill online, without success. I will try again later, but sadly if this continues, you will shut off my phone service and I will be forced to go with another company. Hopefully one that likes to get paid!
