today i bought a new MacBook Air and try to connect to the internet by wifi and i think I'm not sure i think....theres a problem with belkin router passphrase or something so i called belkin customer service. Its just a configuring setting problem but this customer service guy showed me and told me about me in danger of having hackers coming to my computer and stealing my information. If i want to fix it, he said i need to pay $199 so i asked him if i can talk to his supervisor. He said yes and he connected me to the supervisor and here is the part that i felt belkin is a freaking company of scammers. The supervisor: "yes you need to hire technician for 20-30mins in order to fix your problem and it will cost you around two hundred bucks."

I am not into hate reviews, but am getting frustated. I have been trying all day to reach someone at Belkin. Chat isn't working and I have been disconnected on the phone multiple times. This is not working for me AT ALL. I have used Belkin routers for years, but the customer service is AWFUL. I have a Belkin router that is not connecting with the router. I started out early this morning thinking Charter was the issue, but was told Belkin was having problems. Would be nice to be able to get an answer from SOMEONE. Online websites seem to indicate that this is a Belkin issue, but I cannot get to an actual person to find out an estimate as to when we should expect this to be fixed. According to the twitter feed Belkin shows on their website, everything is peachy. Definitely not the case. Someone needs to own the issue! If it is a Belkin issue just post the issue so people can quit trying to figure out what is going on.

Thanks for producing the most inferior product in the world. Spent good money on a dead piece of plastic. Should get more than 2 months from a router.. My previous one was $15 and lasted 4 years!!!! My cable company is flooded with people with dead belkin crap. really convenient that offices open at 8 am PACIFIC time. What about the other 3/4 of the country? I hope everyone who reads this decides to buy another product. Might be worth the gas money to find your engineers and choke them all with their own product's ethernet cords!!!!!!

I agree with the comments, tried to make my wifi work after many discussions with help desk Belkin decided to replace the device. They want to charge me for both devices delivery cost and also want to charge me for the new one and credit the amount when they receive the old one. I have never seen this type of Customer service and would not recommand to anyone this company on a go forward basis

I had NO PROBLEMS WHATEVER with the individuals I called for technical support Zack and supervisor). The RED FLAGS arose when they referred me to "On ground" tech support to schedule appt. They seemed prepared to do LESS than original people led me to believe, and for a lot of money, they required my VISA payment UP FRONT, then cautioned me not to let the tech "take anything" from my home. This frightened me! When I tried to cancel, THEY WANTED TO CHARGE $90 to CANCEL, saying it was in the e-mail they sent. My E-mail was DOWN, that was part of problem, I could not agree or reject this stipulation. They also made an issue that the technician had cancelled "other appointment" to see me...although I cancelled 7 days in advance of the tentative appointment. They remained SUPERFICIALLY polite but VERY HIGH PRESSURE about NOT WANTING TO AGREE TO MY CANCELLATION REQUEST. They eventually, reluctantly, cancelled it...I THINK...Time will tell. Let the buyer beware...especially before you give them credit card information!

I got a router from them and had trouble setting it up. When I called customer service they wanted to charge me to help install it saying to was my computer.I told them MY COMPUTER IS BRAND NEW, then they stated its windows 8. After telling them its not me they tried to sell me thech support and charge me to help install my router. After hanging up on them due to them not helping and will not stop trying to charge me they kept calling me for an hour.

Surprised to find out that so many people have the same problem and that Belkin are scamming people with the extra cost for resolving problems!
I got a router that one day just stopped working (like exactly after the 1 year warranyt has expired!), no reset or reconfiguration worked, they just wanted to charge me. There is no contact to make a claim, they kept telling me to call back and dial other options that were non -existant. They have really made the system so that it is impossible to make a claim. I believe this is not even legal?? Can't we get together and do something about this??

Completely HORRIBLE customer service, they attempt to trouble shoot device over and over.. If they can't find a simple solution, they hang up on you!!!!!!!!!!! I will never buy another Belkin device!! Ever!!!!!!!!!!

I had a huge wait time today...only to find out that the router that I bought from them and was replaced a yr. ago with a much cheaper device is now obsolete and does not work. It worked for 8 mos. and I have had problems with it from get go. Casey was not helpful at all then when I wanted to speak to supervisor he just left me there on the phone. I will never purchase from Belkin again, they just want you to buy their support which is non existant!

i bought belkin wireless modem-router N150 on 9 may 2014, the modem was working on and off after 2 weeks of purchase, I had contacted the belkin customer care and they tried to troubleshoot, which was a failure. after that i was asked to hand over the modem to accel office @ chennai along with the bill, I handed over the modem with all required documents to accel on 30-may-2014, i was told/promised by the belkin customer care and accel that the replacement unit will be given to me in 7-10 working days, its been 21 days either I was contacted by belkin/accel nor received the replacement unit... called accel on 13 june 2014, i was told there is no stock... then contacted belkin customer care on the 16 june 2014, the agent i spoke to didn't have any clue about when the company will give me replacement and he assured he will give a call in 48 hours to update the status, as expected i did not receive a call from belkin... on 18 june evening i called belkin support and asked for the replacement unit status, they could not give a date committment..... i have asked the agent to provide me the india HO number in bangalore for which in turn agent told the HO in chennai, they gave me accel chennai no as the belkin India HO number... tried fooling me.. got irritated... agent was not ready to transfer the call to higher ups/next level.... had a lengthy call, the agent was silent through out not even tried to give me a solution, instead i was told there are part of technical support and they can't give a committment on replacement unit date... my time was wasted...... after the elaborate discussion also agent was not in the position to provide a deadline.... I got disappointed and hung up the call.... i feel cheated by belkin.... team belkin kindly pay the money back immediately if not i will do silent demonstration in front of your office shortly along with the other unhappy belkin customers.... I don't see a point why i should beg you guys to provide me a new unit, i paid the money you ppl should have the self esteem not to cheat the customer like this.... i feel cheated big time.... dont say out of stock.... the same model which is due to be issued to me is available in the market.. if belking says it is out of stock... what it means....

I bought an adaptor for my mac book video port and not only did the first adaptor break but so did the replacement one. What am I suppose to do with a broken port. The price is way to high for this adaptor if its going to break in a month. I am very displeased.

Found it impossible deal with just because i don't have a receipt.long story short i bought a belkin router about 5 years ago then that went faulty got it replaced by belkin but now after 2 years the replacement router has gone faulty and now i don't have a receipt for that replacement because obviously i did not purchase it so now even though they can track the serial number they don't want to replace it so lifetime warranty my ARSE IT DON'T WORK STAY AWAY FROM BELKIN ITS NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE!!!!!

Purchase a Belkin av10117 through the manufacturer's sight. Didn't realize until after delivery, if you require it work with a cable longer than 15ft, you need a power supply. It doesn't come with it. Requested a refund and they stated that this device is not eligible for a refund. WHAT THE HECK. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH A COMPANY LIKE THIS!!!!

Well, just hoping that my (painful) experience can help others avoid similar torment... Having just a nightmare time with "Customer Service" trying to have an N300 router replaced (under warrantee)over the past 3-4 months.Long story short: just stay away from Belkin; their support just stinks, they will waste your time, patience, money and sanity and leave you with flawed and unsupported products.

I have had very unsatisfactory and infuriating dealings with these people before, but this time was about the worst! The CSR spent 12 minutes asking me questions about me and my product ... 12 MINUTES!!! after which I asked, if and when she was actually going to commence HELPING ME! ... to which she continued to mumble in an unintelligible, VERY strong, undefinable Asian twang ... AND SHE HUNG UP. I guess it just got too hard for her! Ugh! Needless to say, I was VERY unsurprised when I came across this website and discovered 160 negative ... to 15 positive reviews!

I'm trying to contact customer service to report a faulty Belkin Dot Cover with stand for iPad mini that I purchased 29/12/2013.... I was told by Best Buy retail outlet to contact Belkin customer service for a replacement cover with a working auto off and auto on.... I can be contacted at ..WENDY BLACK..... Also as for the employee comments, it is ridiculous to actually expect people to read the entire warranty when it is not anywhere to be found when you are purchasing a product, as you know it is in the unopened box. I also should not have to research your policies as they should be moral and ethical. This experience only showed me that Belkin does not care. I just hope my replacement is not defective. There should be a class action lawsuit for all the people they have wronged with this policy. I can say with confidence that even the employee who said to read the warranty does not read the warranty on every purchase we make as I would have not time to live my life. Don't bull__it us buddy because your company is immoral. Though the three people I dealt with were pleasant from the company and I have no complaints about them. I will also be reporting them to the BBB.

I purchased a brand new belkin range extender before Christmas, took over a week to get and did not try to setup until end of January. Upon plugging in I got a purple light. Called tech support and spent forty five minutes troubleshooting to find out it was defective. They told me I had to pay return shipping on product to get a new one. I did not think that was legal as it does not say this anywhere when purchasing or on box. The only way I can get a new one is to pay myself to return it. They tell me it is their policy. This sounds like illegal activity since they do not inform you of this policy in advance of purchasing.

worst service I have ever received in my 65 years. I never received my order and they refused to send me a replacement. They said they would refund my money and I would have to reorder after already waiting three weeks for an order that I never received in the first place. (Two day free shipping?) They got THEIR money though after 3 days. I am not holding my breath over refund wait.

Working with Belkin is extremely hard and nearing the point of not being worth it. The people at the call center were nice enough to deal with but their follow through is horrible. I called about a defective router and they indicated that I would receive an email for a replacement. I had to call three days later because they did not send the email. I processed the return and it was indicated that I would have a new modem within 7-10 business days. I called customer service after 12 days to find out that they have it scheduled to ship in another 18 days. After telling them that I would like a full refund for their product they indicated that they could not do that because it came from Best Buy and not direct through them. My wireless internet has now been down for 16 days and I am told that it will be a minimum of 6 days until my replacement is "expedited" to me. The follow up and follow through of this organization is awful. I will never purchase a Belkin product ever again.

my router is not working,i was called the customer care no more than 10 times and it continued...no one take the call every time i get all the lines are busy reply,i thing this a fake no.the local shops are not taking the hardware,they only take after the compliant registration but there is only one way to register compliant is the toll free no its not get all time...this a serious mistake from the Belkin support team and its not good for a reputed firm... i will never choose the belkin product again....very bad service

I called Belkin twice tonight and each time the call was disconnected. When I called the second time, I explained the problem with the first call and asked whether the speaker would call me back if we were disconnected again. He assured me he would. Of course, he didn't. I waited about 5 minutes for the first call to be answered and 7 minutes for the second call. Obviously, I am angry

Terrible. Jump through a 90 minutes of hoops just to find out they won't honor their warranty because the product is no longer made. They could have said that in the beginning. Even so, it doesn't negate the warranty. Worst customer service I've ever experienced.

Don't waste your time talking to someone on the online chat. I wasted an hour of my life talking to someone that was "trying" to help me but in the end did absolutely nothing. Oh, and if you received your product as a gift, don't expect them to help you unless you have the receipt - what a joke!
