WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!

Very difficult to reach by phone.

Make promises they do not keep.

On hold for over 30 minutes on three separate occasions.

Bloomingdales Customer service line is one of the WORST i have seen. I am outraged. It's like an SNL skit with so many prompts before you can actually get to a person other thanjust hearing you account balance! (who ever calls just to hear their account balance anyway?!) The rep was nice but they can't credit you at all, had to have the factory do an investigation and this is the 2nd time I have gotten that line and was not called back. I am so shocked since I thought bloomingdales had good cust service but guess thats only Nordstroms.

There Is A Child Pedophile Named Milfert Horton Who Works For Bloomingdales Corporate Office On Fulton St. He Raped And Sodomized A 14 Year Old Girl 2 Months Ago And He Is Actually Now Employed For Bloomindales!!!! I Followed Him Into The Office Bldg Where He Works And Saw That It Was A Bloomingdale Office. How Disgusting Is It That Bloomingdales Does Not Do Criminal Background Checks On Someone Who Just Recently Raped And Sodomized A 14 Year Old Girl Just 2 Months Ago In Brooklyn!!!!

Horrible customer service. I spoke to over 20 different departments and more than 30 people and NOBODY could help me. I just kept getting transferred, put on hold, hung up on. At least half the people were rude and apathetic. This is a possible identity theft issue, and they won't work with me. What a nightmare!

I cannot possibly detail the nightmare I have gone through over a simple pair of jeans ordered online. It would take hours and no one would want to read it. Suffice it to say that I have cancelled my credit card and vowed to NEVER, EVER order anything online from them EVER AGAIN.

I wanted to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my entire Bloomingdale's experience. It began with trying to order a pair of Tory Burch flats from your website. The item said it was "in stock" but when I tried adding it to my cart, it said it was "out of stock". Frustrating, but that's only the beginning. I then proceeded to call the New York Bloomingdales to order them and then the Chicago-Magnificent Mile store. Brian, at the store, seemed nice enough and acted eager to help. He claimed he ordered me the flats in my size. He took my credit card info and told me they'd arrive to me in 5-7 days. I thought that was it which would have been easy. I've never worked so hard to order a pair of $225 shoes but nonetheless, I got them ordered and was happy with that....or so I thought. A few days later, I wanted to check the status of the shoes. I never received an email or tracking number saying they'd been shipped so it concerned me. Apparently my order had been spontaneously cancelled unbeknownst to me, the paying customer. I needed the shoes for a special occasion and that date was drawing near. This would only push the arrival time of the shoes back more, and had I not called, I would still be waiting for them.
The shoes then arrived a few days later, after I thought I got this second glitch ironed out. Excited to see them, I anxiously un-wrapped them. To my pure surprise, the box was totally banged up and dented. Strike one. I took the shoes out and inspected them, assured they would be perfect. I noticed very obvious, large scratches in the leather on both shoes. Strike two. I then notice the soles of the shoes have no tread and they've obviously been worn. Strike three. My husband, who doesn't normally have an eye for detail, noticed the issues without any prompting; a sure-fire sign there's a big problem.
I immediately called customer service. After listening to the menu options carefully, I found there was not option to talk to a human being. I Googled other Bloomingdale customer service numbers, and all of them lead me back to the same, redundant and non-user friendly menu. I then pressed each option to dig deeper in hopes of finding the one that would lead me to a person. After about 15 minutes of this tedious and frustrating process, I found that Option 3 which is about product availability, not something I needed to know about, was the only option that would give me the "in" to a person. Once I reached a person, I was beyond livid. I expressed my extreme dissatisfaction and the only thing I was told was "return them". Yes, I could have figured that out on my own without any of this ridiculous hassle. I was then put on hold for 30 minutes while that representative got a hold of the higher up, which I requested to talk to. That "higher up" was just as cold as the previous person, also putting me on hold for another 15 minutes. I was then told again to return the item. Once again, I didn't spend weeks of micromanaging your employees to hear the obvious.
I figured I'd be offered a credit to shop with you again or be able to keep the beat-up shoes but still get my money back, or at least be offered decent customer service, but nothing (surprise, surprise). The shopping experience shouldn't be more work on the paying customer's part, FYI. I once again, had to go out of my way and spend time and money to package up the dilapidated box and drive it to a FedEx store. What a mismanaged, unknowledgeable, useless department store. Word to the wise: call Nordstrom and ask how they treat their customers. They do it beautifully and seamlessly time and time again.

In November, I returned boots (online offer) that didn't fit. I called for a return label, sent them as directed, and then waited for the package to be cleared. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Although I kept the tracking print out that showed they'd been delivered to the Costa Mesa warehouse, I am still being billed for them. After multiple calls to customer service, and multiple bills showing that I am still being billed for a package that UPS says was delivered, I am ready to sue them. It is infuriating! It takes at least 30 minutes to get to a supervisor, and she continues to tell me that they are waiting to investigate why the package received was not logged in. Conclusion: I will NEVER order anything from Bloomingdale's online, and I am going to shred my charge card. What kind of business treats its customers so badly and keeps such sloppy records that a returned item continues to appear on my charge bill? From now on, I'll shop at Nordstrom's. Bloomingdales needs to rethink its Customer Service arrangements!!!

Worst customer service line ever!!! They made a mistake on my ecard and put the year of delivery as 9999 and the customer service rep actually told me I had to wait until that year for delivery. I am not kidding! Where do they hire these people -- she had no concept of numbers. I've called back 4 times -- on the phone for as long as 30 mintues some times -- and have still not received the ecard but I have been charged for it. That store is a nightmare -- never, never will I ever order from them again.

The customer service line is horrendous. It utterly fails to offer the option to speak with representatives and has very limited services. The site failed to mention that a certain item was on back order (and continues to do so) which means the shipping date is impossible to know until after the order is placed and one is left wondering why their order is so terribly late.

I live in Hong Kong and bought from Bloomingdales Sam Edelman Tote Marais Nylon with crossbody on 24Nov2012. When I got the package on 30Nov2012, I was very suprised that I got wrong item, same Sam Edelman Tote Marais Nylon but without crossbody. I sent email on same day, no reply. And I resent everyday still no reply up to now 5Dec2012. This is not my mistake, and Bloomingdales should solve this problem ASAP. In this case I prefer to Refund since I do not want to shop again in Bloomingdales. Not reliable for international orders.

I put in an order for 2 items online and went through the express checkout. What i didn't realize is that the delivery address listed was an address I used over 2 years ago. I tried to cancel the order but did not see that option online. I tried to call Bloomingdales customer service but it was closed after 9pm.

I then called bloomingdales next morning at about 9am as per there customer service hours. I was told that the package could not be re-routed. I asked if I could cancel the order and was told my order was canceled and my credit card would be credited within 5 days.

Next day, I get notice that my packages have been shipped! I called Bloomingdales and they say they have no record of the cancellation. I asked if they could listen to the recording of my call with their customer service agent and they said they would not be able. They outsource their customer service and it would be difficult to track. They said they were still charging me for the items even if they were lost.

They were of no help at all. I should have been able to cancel the order when speaking with the customer service agent. The order was being sent out the next day, yet they did not stop it from going.

To make matters worse, their agent told me the order was canceled the order but did not. According to them, this is not normal procedure. So basically this person lied to me. Bloomingdales is outsourcing their customer service to an agency that they do not hold accountable.

I will never shop with them again.

I'm so/so with Bloomingdales. They have cute stuff and I love the atmosphere there but when I went to the Mall At Millenia store in Orlando, FL back in March, the lady at the Chanel make-up counter was EXTREMELY pushy. I was going to buy lip gloss from Chanel but she kept pressuring me into getting a Bloomingdales gift card when I kept telling her, "I'll think about it." But I couldn't get away from her!! I got so turned off I ended up buying lip gloss from the Dior counter, where the lady was a lot friendlier and helpful and not as intimidating. It really annoys me when associates make it more than obvious that they're on commission.

I Visited Bloomingdales In Aventura Florida, The Customer Service Was Horrible. I Wasn`t Greeted At All. I Came In Eye Contact With Three Clerks No One Asked Did I Need Help,I Was Trying To Find The Fitting Room It Was Like I Didn`t Exist.I Walked Towards One Of The Clerks She Turned And Walked Away. I Feel This Department Store Thinks That Color People Can`t Afford Their Merchandise. I Ended Up Making A Purchase Anyhow.

I went in to buy a Kate Spade purse and there were three employees on the floor they saw me and made eye contact but never assisted me. They helped other customers but walked right by me. Later I decided to go to the fragrance dept and the same situation occured there. I went to Nordstroms and spent $600.00 that day. I called and left a message for the assistant to the general managers voicemail and a week later still no responce.I also called and spoke with the manager of operations and he insisted that there was no way his fragrance dept assosiate would do such a thing it had to be a rep for one of the fragrance companies. My sister used to work for Bloomingdales and was with me when this occured and reassured me it was there assossiate. He said he would have some one contact me. Yeah right!!! this occured at the Bloomingdales in Atlanta Ga Perimeter Mall.. Avoid bad service go to Nordstrom's and be treated with respect!!!

Terrible customer service! I ordered online at Bloomingdales.com, got charged twice and when i called customer service about it, instead of helping out, they told me rudely they going to cancel my order because i used more coupons than i should had!? And told me i have to go back online to replace the order using just one coupon! My acct was still doubled charged from the order they cancelled out and they said there was nothing they could do i have to work that out with my bank! Never order online from them please! I never will!

I witnessed an employee sent home by I'm assuming here an HR simply because of her shoes. The girl was dressed fine- all black, cute, professional. This lady basically came up to the girl and yelled at her for black moccasins. Yet another girl wearing the same shoes (in a smaller size) was never told a word. I felt so horrible for that young girl. She was basically discriminated because of the size of her shoes?

I bought an item in store only to find a price difference of over 25% between the store and website -- on the Same Day. Customer service gave me the run around: putting me on hold, saying their supervisors were not available, saying they could not make a simple price adjustment. After an hour of this I agreed to get a call back, but I am not optimistic that I will ever be contacted.

I would caution anyone considering purchase of furniture through Bloomingdales to think twice. My experience was that this store is eager to take your money for a sale, but the service after the sale is problematic to say the least. I purchased several thousand $’s of furniture for my new condo. One chair had to be ordered. The rest of the pieces were floor model sales. When my pieces were delivered a few days after purchase, I noted that there was not enough room for the additional chair which was on order from a different store in their chain. I immediately called and asked to cancel and get a refund. Several weeks later and multiple calls later I still haven’t received my $ back. Additionally I have been told for the second time that my refund has been put into their system (after having been told the same thing a few weeks prior). They are unable to give me a refund in their store, and do not have any management on hand to meet a disgruntled customer. They have only low level employees at their customer “no-service” desk. I will never set foot again in a Bloomingdales, and caution anyone considering purchase of items of furniture from that store.
