I had a PLE 400 Powerline adapter go out after 3 and 1/2 months. If it had been 3 they would have replaced it quickly. Guaranteed for a year. When talking with the customer service they told me to send both units, a PLE 400 sending unit and a PLS 400 4 port recieving unit, back to Cisco and they would send a refurbished replacement.
Their shipping department started sending emails that they were sending me the replacement within the next 10 days and that it will take another 7 days to get it across country, then they sent a message that they were sending just the PLE 400 unit, then they said the sending unit was out of stock, then they said that I should recontact customer service. Not a great way to run a company.

I have an E3200, The internet pages load when ever the want. I've talked to Cisco for at least an hour troubleshooting this issue and at the end of the conversation they offer to fix my issue for that 29.99 deal. I said no of course. Asked for the information so I could fix the issue and they more or less said "google it". My next router won't be a cisco this is for sure.

Over the last 3 years, I've had NOTHING but headaches from Cisco. I have to restart devices after a while because webpages stop loading, sometimes it will randomly cut out, etc. Support just kinda shrugs their shoulders and says "Oh well, send it back and maybe the next one will work." It never does. Never purchasing from them again.

This company and their customer service are HORRIBLE. I have contacted via CHAT, phone call and email. EVERY rep I have talked to (10 times now) is short and will not address any issues. They are quick to get off the phone and WILL NOT take care of everything while you have them on the phone. They went through the process of troubleshooting my device, declaring it defective and want ME TO PAY TO SHIP IT BACK TO THEM. I fought and fought to get this taken care of and now they are getting the retailer to replace my item with another. Just a bad experience. 90 days warranty to CHAT with them and 1 yr warranty for the item FROM WHEN IT WAS MADE, NOT from when you buy it; UNLESS you send them a receipt. (WHICH THEY STILL DID NOT BELIEVE) BAD COMPANY!

My Cisco valet router stopped working 2 day after I got it and the customer service is trying to get out of sending a replacement. I spent 2 hours on the phone with them and emailed my proof of purchase showing I've had it less than a month and they are still wanting to investigate and will get back to me. I will never buy another Cisco product ever again.

Terrible customer support. They cannot solve even simple issue like license key problem for 8 days and our device is going to stop working after just 5 days!!!!!

This product is by far the worst network product i have used in my life.upgraded to the lastest frimware thinking it will improve but well it got worse- i could not connect to yahoo and other sites because the router was blocking it,i cant access lan servers through wifi, many of ui features do not change from their default, the list is on going please can i know how to return it and have my money back

I too have a E1200 router (low end). Bad port on the router. Updated the software but would only xmit and not recieve.
Talked to cisco tech support. All I wanted to do was send it back and get a replacement. Could not pry the send to: address from them. They could not fix my problem over the phone, yet they claimed it was not thier faulty product. I proved my network via another port, yet their worthless "technicians" would not give me a return address. cisco sucks.
BTW: this unit is under warranty.

I have a cisco E1200 router. The Xmit portion of the main network port went out. I had to talk some uninformed phone clone who went through a bunch of questions until she finally said I needed to talk to tech support. I was on hold for more than 5 minutes. I hung up. I reconfigured my router as a bridge but am still lacking the availability of my main network port. I would never buy cisco again.
Over priced, underpowered, backwards software.

1 year and 4 months ago I bought your cisco valet router and it is out of date needs software updating. So now to update it you want me to spent 200 dollars so that all my devices are re configured. Are there any other options. You are just a rip off company.

If u come across the cisco support it is worst now a days . if support person is from china in cisco TAC then be careful they cisco waste of time , 2nd worst support person from europe in my experience people from india and USA are quick in support . people from china are worst cisco support , cisco should stop providing support services from china or europe to india or other countries . They simply waste time without any resolution we have come across so many incident now think thousand time to buy cisco product.

Don't even bother calling. It is not worth the time.Instead of assisting with issue they are seeing your call to be a sales opportunity. When buying a new router I will be sure that it will not be a cisco product

I AM FURIOUS WITH THESE ABSOLUTE JERKS. Icannot believe how rude, sarcastic, condesending these jerks are. Absolutely no help at all and again, they want to charge me for customer support. The warrenty is out by months and they will not help me at all. I talked to three people, one a supervisor and I have never seen or heard or experienced such garbage in my life. The guy was actually laughing at me being upset and making sarcastic remarks on how I am at fault and only wanted the money. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY AND TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW THAT THEY WILL ONLY HELP YOU IF YOU PAY 29.99 plus tax of course. NO other electronic company charges for answering a simple question days after the warrenty is out. What a absolute money grab if I ever saw one. The supervisor was equally as ignorant and the two other so called customer service and would not even guide me in any way to solve my problem. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!EVER!!!! When the company folds because of utter incompetance, let's see who is laughing now idiots.

Second time around in 3 months dealing with a wireless router problem. My complete afternoon dealing with lack of understanding and follow up. Calls get disconnected, representatives (supervisors do not return calls), I am still on the line, 2 hours later, trying to fix a problem.

I have a router (E3200) that I bought directly from Cisco about 9 months ago. It has performed poorly and much worse than the old router I had. I can barely access the internet with my laptop when I get more than 20' away. I called Tech support because now when I'm transferring files between computers--all in the same room and within 10' of the router--it's like the old dialup-SLOW!

I called customer service and it went to Tech support--for 45 minutes they had me do this and that and reset everything--all with new numbers, etc. and download "updated" firmware--there was only one version so that was just a waste of time. After 45 minutes my iPhone still wouldn't pick up the wireless (it had been doing so previously). I told the "Tech" that the router was dying and I would like a replacement since it was still under warranty. She said see if it gets better and call back tomorrow--which I did.

Well the new tech, who sounded exactly like the original tech wanted to do troubleshooting. I told her NO, I had wasted 45 minutes yesterday and was not going through the same thing again. She had to speak to her supervisor--about a 7 minute wait--and informed me that since I wouldn't do troubleshooting I would have to call customer service. She gave me the same tele# I had called to reach her.

She swore she was in Irvine, CA, but I am sure she was in India reading a script because she paused before she could ever tell me anything.

This is a joke! I even told them I wanted an upgraded product and would pay the difference, but I have to call back Monday!
What a run around!!

Ridiculous customer service. My hard drive crashed and I needed to reinstall the Cisco Connect software for my Linksys E3000 once I got a new hard drive. I was using the wireless connection FROM THE ROUTER and still getting error messages that it couldn't find my router. I was blocked from going any further to install the Cisco Connect software.

I called customer service after trying on my own for a couple of hours. I got peppered with about 15 questions...name, email, phone, # of computers in my home, operating systems...I was waiting for them to start asking for my birth date, social sec, etc. I finally interrupted the agent and said I didn't want to give out any more demographic info, just wanted help.

He indicated that I was out of warranty and should just buy another router. Mine was working FINE! He walked me through making sure my internet connections were good--which they were, and I already knew they were--and then said to give me the info to 4 form fields on the web access site to configure my router manually, I'd need to pay $29.99. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! If the software would just install in the first place, it would walk me through the set up and I wouldn't have to pay a thing.

Cisco, do you really think you'll keep customers this way? If I can't get it to work on my own, then yes, I will be buying another router but it will never, ever, ever be another Cisco router, or any other Cisco product. And I'm happy to share my experience on the Cisco Facebook page, via my Twitter handle and my own Facebook page. I personally reach about 1,000 people and I'll link to this review and website so everyone knows exactly why they don't want to deal with Cisco.

Horrible disservice. Absolutely no one cares that their products do not work and they refuse to refund the purchasing price for brand new products.

Expect going to gazillion of options and end up with being on hold forever with no music on-hold or any indication that line is not dead.

After Cisco tech support identified a bug in their firmware on their WRT 120 router, the call was escalated to Irvine. Three days later, I got a message via email saying the call was closed and to fill out a customer satisfaction survey. When I called to find out why the call was closed, I was tld Cisco didn't want to allocate engineering resources to fix the problem.

All I wanted was a part number for router power supply upgrade module to make the basic router capable of support PoE as per the spec sheet. Instead the response was for letter question for how large my company was, when my project was do, how much project was worth etc. when I responded no I just need to technical part info I got a form letter saying "thanks for contacting us, hope we helped" w/ no information on part # I was asking for.

Completely pathetic, quality has really really gone down. I will look for other options including other companies.

All I wanted was to set up a new secure wireless network when their router wouldn't accept my password for some reason. They gave me service options as my router had expired its warranty so they said. Each costed me money. They wouldn't help me get back online with the wireless, that is all I wanted. I will never again buy a Linksys router.

Terrible. "Sandy" ID number 19105 was a horrible customer service representative. Bad english, terrible customer service, and no technical knowledge.

Ignorant and not professional customer service with Cisco Lynksys Router. This company obviously is not prioritizing good customer service. Would not buy their products again.
