The service is utter dog doo. Literally don't have power for an entire month of the year. If I had another option for power I would run from your garbage infrastructure so quick. Be better because right now it just seems that you collect your trophy for showing up. Sick of the power going out every time grandma sneezes.

PLEASE STOP with all the useless TV, Radio, and Internet commercials! DTE is a monopoly. I cannot switch to another energy provider. You do not need to advertise. Save the money you are spending on these useless adds and lower my energy bill.

We lose power all the time. A little thunder, a little rain or a gust of wind and we lose power. That doesn't count all the times our power flickers just enough that we have to reset all the clocks. We just got a substantial rate increase and I'm writing this going on bring without power for over 90 hours! We could not survive without a generator. BTW we live in Brighton Township, Michigan.

DTE is the worst. Every single time there is a thunderstorm the power goes out. And they just requested a 9.8% rate increase to provide more unreliable service.

DTE is terrible. I have had 4 electrical outages in last 3 weeks. 2 of which lasted more than 2 days. Their website is lousy and they either give you no response to your notifying them or take forever to reply and there is no way you can contact a real person, DTE is becoming like Texas!

Lost power again. DTE first indicated that power would be restored by Thursday 10 pm. Didn't happen. No one knows when the power will be restored. It's been years of having to tolerate over and over and over power outages lost food stay in the dark and cold maybe even go to hotel. Nobody does anything about either improving DTE services or replacing them with another company. DTE has likely the worst possible service and have the highest incompetency. Why does no one investigate this and take action. Years of customers complaining and still nothing. Years of repeated power outages and nothing ever changes. Nothing ever changes!!!!!! Would a federal investigation help?

I called DTE on 8-14 -21 with the problem of water spewing from a rubber tube on my water heater. I was told by a representative in Florida that my Home Protection Plan covered the water heater but could not come until sometime 8-16-21. It was around 3:15 when one person arrived and in seconds said it was not covered-I needed a plumber. I had told them water was spewing from a rubber tube attached to the water heater and they sent the wrong person. I contacted DTE again and did not receive very "smart people". Rachel the floor supervisor stated I could not cancel my Plan (which had increased every year without informing me) and raise a complaint. I could do only one. I am an 81 year old senior and have gone without water for six days. This Home Protectio Plan is a scam.

Maybe if the crews hired this Spring and Summer actually cut trees and limbs instead of sitting in their trucks all day the power outages would be a lot less. This was noted in washtenaw county.

They say they work fast as they can to correct aproblem but thats a lie 0ur power went out 4 times in one week and when they come they just sit there for hours until time to get off then half-hour later it fixed same place nobody checks u get a robot on the phone so who u gotta talk to nobody

This is the worst customer service I have dealt with. I was hung up on 5 different times, I was always put on hold for longer than 30 mins at a time, I was given no answers as to why I called, and I was checking to see if someone came to my home to check my meter and no one could tell me if they did or not. I am beyond frustrated and livid with this customer service. I don't know how to get my problems fixed without being transferred a million times and being on hold.

This place is a joke. I called to have my gas hooked up to my home and they automatically signed me up for a home protection plan that I didn't ever ask for. Funny part I asked who signed me up for this and they stated it was confidential. Ummmm you can't sign people up for stuff they didn't ask for. Then on Facebook messenger they stated they have a voice recording of my husband authorizing these charges. I was with him when he signed up and not one time did I hear him state yes I would like a home protection plan. Secondly, it was started on the separate bill for dates before we even moved in. I have never been so disappointed in a company trying to rip people off. I spoke to Derek Singleton that stated he would make sure and take care of this as did the 61 people and 72 hours of phone calls prior to speaking with him. I asked for his supervisor and was denied as he was the highest person who I could speak to. My question is Jerry Norcia is the CEO but doesn't want to hear from customers about how his company is trying to rip people off. After speaking to Paul #ACS0130, Jamesia, Jaime #PRO0189, Robin who stayed "do not treat me like a baby" and freaked out on the phone as if she needs mental health treatments. Greg # E62035, Chamar # DarO0204, DRO 0208 and many more employees that refused to give me their employee number or name when asked. All I asked for was to deplete the home protection plan off my account and out of my name and they tell me it is taken care of but then I get a bill for December 2019. Now I have a bill for January 2020 but Derek Singleton credited 13.83 leaving a 2.13 bill on the account as I have screen shots. Apparently they have to lie and keep people on this home protection plan scam so they can make it look like people consented for this but tell them they deleted the account but never do. I spoke to someone through messenger and they stated it was taken care of in December 2019, if so why did I get a bill for January 2020? Also, I logged in online and seen that they still didn't delete this account leaving a balance of 2.13 to keep it open. Originally I was billed 15.95 for January 2020 and I called again and waited for Derek Singleton to call me back, apparently you have to wait 48 hours for this. When I asked for a letter that this account was a zero balance and closed they refuse to give you notifications. When I asked for a corporate headquarters on call me I didn't receive a call. Online through messenger it states I am at a zero balance and the account is closed but online it shows I still owe money for this home protection plan I didn't ask for. I don't think people are aware that DTE Energy is signing them up for this plan that they never asked for. Leaving people vulnerable to collections or older people just pay it not realizing it is a separate account and bill for something that they aren't receiving. If you call the home protection plan line they don't answer or it hangs up automatically. They have no address, CEO or a person to contact to eliminate this service people don't want. So I called DTE Energy and they told me it is a separate entity. It's a scam and no one asked for that so stop signing people up for stuff they didn't consent to. You really need to make it more customer friendly to speak to someone that knows that they are doing. If a company refuses to send a letter that you didn't ask for the account and it is closed on a zero balance but they refuse so it sounds like a scam waiting for a class action. Now Malaysia called me to speak of this issue and telling me it's now a zero balance but every month they tell me that until I get a bill for this HPP. I asked for a letter stating this was deleted and a zero balance and they refuse. How can a company order something you never consented to? I can't believe this as I asked for a letter so I have notifications if in the future they decide to go to collections because I refuse to keep calling over this issue. What a joke and monopoly this place is. No other way to get natural gas other than DTE.

3rd day in a row I have had customer service schedule a technician to simply change meter attachment to my house as I am residing house
Gave me the "all day" window so I patiently waited at home throughout the day and for the 3rd consecutive day NO ONE SHOWS!
that is just bad service even my cable guy showed up

I submitted a claim for green backs after it was determined by my AC unit could not be repaired in July. I never received a check and was told that it was mailed to me July 2019. In September I attempted to cancel the program for obvious reasons and was told that it would be cancelled. My October bill arrived with $57 billed to my account for HHP. I immediately contacted customer service and advised that it should have been cancelled and I was placed on hold while they inquired further. Upon return the customer service rep said it probably had not been cancelled since they sent me a green backs check for $750 in July and the contracts states I must remain in the program for 1 year. I told them that I had not received a check and I was told I had to re-enroll in the program for them to look into this matter. I was contacted by the DTE executive office after making a complaint with Michigan Public Service Commission. In conclusion, I have not received my check nor will Mr. Michael Romeo return my calls.

Received a billing threatening shutoff. My address but addressed only to 'Resident'.

Have been unable to reach Customer Service or Billing. Cannot do anything online without an account number.

No account number - no amount owing.

Please let me know what's going on.

Worst company ever. They try to just look good on the outside. Money grubbing company who spent thousands on wireless meters even tho our grids and wires are ancient. Say too many negative things in any social media and they report you to get rid of your comments. Did I say they go to great lengths to look good, but that's about where it ends. Michigan deserves better.

Your service sucks!!! I have been trying for three days now to set up my account and complete an auto pay. It says website is temporarily down for 3 days now. Nobody will return my calls or emails.

I have ask DTE to move my meter to the outside of my home in July of 2016 they tolled me $485.00 filled out paper and got a call form them telling me $957.00,send in more paper work and it is now up to $1143.00 and now a REP for DTE calls and said will met me with his Forman on 10-27-2016,well no call until I called him 3 weeks later on 11-17-2016 and he said he would look into it,would not give me Foremans #, what should I do NEXT.

I have bought DTE home protection plan for a Furnace and later I have added A/C. I called a serve for my furnace and the technician came to refused to repair and turned the furnace off and just left. So I had no choice but replacing the furnace and A/C. I tried to cancelled the home protection plus after installing new ones as they are brand new and covered by the manufacturer warranty. However DTE did not accept cancel request and said that I have to keep the contract for rest of the year term($300) or have to pay early termination fee $171. I tried to contact the specialist Michael C. Romeo many times and left messages. He did not give me a response call at all. I called the customer service but the representative said that they could not do anything for me. I have to pay $171 + 1 month bill for my brand new furnace and A/C to cancel the contract.

I was refused by a customer service representative to speak to a Supervisor On Friday 8/5/2016.My daughter used my name and social security number to get electric and gas in my name without my permission. Only thing the representative said the bill is $161 and that the bill was sent to 20516 Rosemont 48219. Then I asked could I get the bill sent to my p.o. box she said no and hung the phone up in my face. Very Rude. The account number is Could you please have a Supervisor contact me. Dte is a greedy money hungry company. They make about $1.2 Billion dollars a year and yet they can not do anything to help their customers with their bills if they get a little behind except tell the customer you have to pay all the bill or 50% and then have the nerve to cut off service!! I wish I had another energy company to switch to they make me sick!!! A selfish uncompassionate company who does not care for people!!!

I have been fighting with DTE for years now to straighten out my account, i.e., credit. My meter does not work properly and I am being billed for the following accounts that are not mine. After careful review and investigations on my end, I have found the readings are not correct on account are shut my power off for lack of payment, I should fine you for ignorance. Your people are forcing me to pursue litigation, they act like I have done something wrong. When in fact you owe me thousands in fees for accounts that are not mine.
