To Whom it May Concern, At one time I thought Gold's Gym in Montclair, Ca. was the greatest. Now I don't. Since November of last year I have had so many problems.It's like the blind leading the blind.They are unprofessional & the people running the front desk are not trained properly. During certain procedures where they need to inform & explain how things work, they don't. The girls care more about looking cute & flirting with co workers then they do about customer service. I have already sent a e-mail in regards to Gold's because after I froze my account they went and collected the monthly payment which put my Bank Account in the negative. I was able to get the money reimbursed through the corporate office. Last week I walked into Gold's Gym to cancel my membership. I was told by Tony I could not do it there.He gave me a business card for abc Financial, told me to call them.That was how the company handled membership cancellations. That's it, nothing else. So today I call abc to cancel my membership and Becca tells me I cannot cancel because my membership was still frozen. OK, last ,week when I went in and spoke to Tony not only did he not tell me this, he did not unfreeze my account but gives me the card to call. Obviously he does not know his job. Very poor customer service. Now I'm told they'll unfreeze my account so I can cancel my membership but I have to pay $30. For what? I haven't used the gym in over 6 months.On top of that someone from Gold's Gym today called me and said they were trying to collect a debt of $30. This $30 doesn't even go into effect until Feb. 1st. This whole situation is so ridiculous and upsetting. Nobody knows what they're doing over there and I don't appreciate being treated like this. They don't care how they try and get money out of me as long as they do. They did all of this to me after I told them I am unemployed. Scandalous! Please help me. Thank you, Connie Blakkan

Cancellation has taken 2 month's now. Gym says contact customer service, my response "can't I get that here" ?

Gold's gym looks like a sect - easy to sigh, hard to give up It's impossible to cancel club's membership on-line. It took for my family 2 months to cancel membership in Gold's gym. First, my spouse asked about cancellation in our club, Edmond, Ok. They said, they can't do that in their club, we need to call, and we should notify them one month earlier. OK. We called to the office. But, in January they still charged payment. We called again. It appeared the only way we can cancel our membership is to send certified letter to their office in Dallas. Why we should pay for the service, we did not use? Now we chose another fitness club in spite we have Gold's gym close to our house.

I don't appreciate your janitors or any employe talking totally disrespect full to me I front of people all because I'm connecting to slacker radio.not only in cardio room but a second time at front desk.action should b taken to anyone whom insists on starring down and being rood to any person .ive had contract for 10 years.

Can you please look into the problems with the cardio cinema at the St peters mo location. Lots of problems over the 3 years I have been a member. Now it down indefinite with no answers from the manager.

This is some B.S... when I started the gym I was told after six months there would be no cancellation fee. Lies, lies ,lies, now they're saying I have to pay a $50 cancellation fee after six months and that I am signed up for a whole year. I was defrauded. That is very fraudulent. Fraud fraud fraud. I am very pissed off .

I changed my membership to combine to singles into a family membership (Oct 16). I continue to be billed for both the new membership AND the old membership. In Nov I finally got the dual billing stopped by no refund on the excess charges ~65$. The phone number that work don't transfer to ANY office of person, instead I get passed back to the original message...it's an endless 'do-loop'.

I was told tonight that I can no longer go to the Medical Center Location in San Antonio unless I pay 3 times what I am paying now. I was informed that I became a ruby level in the wrong location, Universal City location. Therefore, I could not be grandfathered in to Medical Center which is now black level (surprise)! If I had become ruby at Medical Center, I would get completely different treatment. Different rules for different fools. Is this the lottery? You idiots simply cannot leave well enough alone. I am convinced Gold's Gym corporate enjoys making their customers miserable. I have been a member for 15 years and Gold's sucks worse than ever. Please don't waste my time by explaining you "logic" aka stupidity and mean spirited attitude. The San Antonio customers get the crappiest treatment. What is it about us that you hate so much? These decisions are hateful. I am adding to the pile of complaints you already have at BBB. If there is a blog about you,such as Yelp, I will post this. I am also a member of Angie's List. They take reviews of any business. I cannot believe that this plan is legal. It discriminates against certain people who just happened to sign up at whatever level in the wrong place at the wrong time. I wish you entire chain would disappear, like Bally's, and be sold to a company that at least some decent standards, like LA Fitness, which has a very good BBB rating. There are also local tv station business complaint segments. I will try to do one. Thank you for forcibly separating me from my friends at the gym, because I don't have the money to be there. I was not notified via email when this decision was made on Nov. 15. I didn't even have the chance to change my home gym.

Most unprofessional and irresponsible group of employees I have ever interacted with. Poor customer service all the way up the ladder to even management. I would never recommend anyone using golds services. It seems as if a bunch of high school kids run the business. Never in my life have I felt less of a priority to a business as a former customer I advise anyone to join elsewhere instead of golds. And I know many in my city that feel the same way. Poor poor poor performance all around.

I work out at Gold's in Clifton, Colorado. I have enjoyed using the facility for 15 months. When I signed up there, the gym had a heavy bag and speed bag for clients to use. Management decided to remove them. I aske the manager why they took them out,. He said they needed the space. Well it's been over a month and the area where the heavy bag and speed bag were are still empty!,,, Now I in good faith signed a contract with Gold's because I saw that they had the heavy bag and speed bag for me to use in my workout . It may sound trivial, but It would be like signing a contract to use the gym because they have a swimming pool. Then one day the client goes into swim and it is no longer available. Management is unresponsive to requests for returning the equipment......

Im temeka denmark stateing yall took 374.53 frim my card and I talk to a managerthere and told him im cancel the gym bcause im disable and my daughter was under age she was just 13years of age and I didnt want it and the manager man was type ask I speack and tod me he cancel it in july and I knows some money been tooking off my card and yall took it im just asking for me refund back on my mastercard and im doing file a dispute already a out it and I been one time no more and ill just asking yall from my heart ehy money been tooking and ur manger was typing ask I speak to him and he told me its cancel im going to the head board on this cause they against the law to charger someone and take me without them know it I call my card holder whi told me about so please sir will u please refund my money ok im asking from my heart and in the name of jesus sir I call and call than nobody want to answer now I left message to and my number so I had ti do want to need to do sir

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I work out at the Farragut Tennessee Location..... Very Sad Place!!!! I have Tried to call several times!!! NO RESPONSE!!!! I have left several messages for for your Manager....... NO RESPONSE!!!

They are so rude in El Paso!!!! They are not friendly and all the associates including the managers do not have manners! They all have an attitude and they do not honor the 30 day refund !! They don't explain paper work correctly to you but still hold you accountable ! I am high risk pregnancy and haven't been to the gym since June!! They double charged me told me to take a dr note and I'll get refunded I did all of that and all of a sudden they can't do anything about it and according to the girl she never said that. They are liars and rude!! They need a new management team and employees!! I would not reccomend this gym to ANYONE !!!!

I was a customer that was trying to singe up for golds gym but i got off work a little late so i call and ask whats the lasts that i could come in to talk to a sales person the sales person told me to be there before 8pm so i said ok. i called @7:20pm to tell them i was 10 mins away because i really wanted to get started that day which was 11/30/16 and they told me all the sales people was gone so at this point im up set because i really wanted to singe up so i ask to speak to a manager on duty to see if he or she can help me to singe up so they put me on hold and a man named Jim got on the phone and told me he was about to walk out the door and theirs nothing he could do for me. So i said i just wanted to singe up its only going to take 5mins out your time that's why i called ahead of time to see whats the late's i cold singe up he said sorry i've been hear since 5am this morning and im walking out the door but to call back in the morning and we can see what we can do so i still was unhappy but i said ok. The next day i called and told the sales person what happen so she put me on hold and sent my call to him since i talk to him the night before.This man gets on the phone which is Jim and says he never talk to me and lied and said he left at 6:30pm that night. I told him you is lieing because i called after 7:00pm and talk to you. He swear up and down that he never talk to me so i ask him sssooo how did i get your name if i never talk to you know remind you i never step foot in this gym a day in my life. He said he don't know. So i guest i just called this location and new that a manager name jim work hear i don't think so. this is the florissant location
This location has really but a bad taste in my month when it comes down to Golds Gym

I paid for a trainer, but have a torn manicus on my knee and they will not refund my money since I can't do anything on it. I have results on my knee scan from doctor. Can you help me get my money back.

I am a member at the Colorado Springs gold's on academy Blvd (rustic hills location). I brought my son last week to get a weekly pass to check out the gym and possibly sign up for a membership. The guy at the front desk said he couldn't give us a pass because the manager was not there and charged me $15 to work out for one hour. I have left several messages for the manager (crystal Sisler) and she has not returned any of my calls in a week. They do not have any customer service skills nor do they care to follow up with their members. I will send her an email since she does not seem to be able to pick up the phone to call me. I wished I never signed a contract.

Do not sign up here! They will not honor their 30 day money back guarantee. I followed every step and they would not honor their end of the deal. Corporate will not assist you in any way if dealing with a franchise. They hung up on me after telling me they had no access to any of my account info. This company is very dishonest.

internet in Leesburg gym has been down for two months. Do you have any intention of getting it fixed. Forget about the equipment. Already proven you have no interest in maintaining that. It just isn't that hard.

I am putting a complaint regarding New Bedford Golds Gym on Church Street . They have harassed my handicap son who has been going to the gym with his dad who has a membership there . Up until today he cancelled his gym membership due to the fact of the harassment for my son singing loudly with his headphones on ,and running to fast on treadmill stating he was going to break machine . They have been going to a gym since he was 16 years old he is now 20years old. Has never fallen or got hurt once. Because he is running at level 7 on treadmill. They have harassed him since he started goin there 7 months .
