I was in Panera Bread in Jacksonville visiting where I over heard some employees talking. I heard one of the employees speaking about golf. During the conversation one employee was heard saying loudly golf was a white mans sport. I think that was very inappropriate conversation to be had not knowing if it offended someone. Employees should definitely be aware of what is being said not knowing who maybe listening.

I ordered a sandwich and went to the front register where a young lady was training another employee. I wanted to ask if the sandwich I bought had a different bbq sauce because the one on the sandwich was hot spicy. The girl while we were still talking went on loudly greeting another employee arriving. I waited a couple If seconds to see if she would back towards me but she didn't. I asked calmly if she could continue our conversation when she told me to calm down and went to talk to her manager. Manager calmly listened to my original question and when I was done I explained that all I had was a question and the girl was rude. Manager didn't say anything to me or not give me a small apology.
VERY RUDE EMPLOYEES

My friend and I went to Panera by Target in Panama City. Near starfish lane/road. The young man who took our order was very pleasant and efficient. We had to move to 3 different tables because they were dirty. While eating how dirty and messy the restaurant was. Dishes piled up so you could barely stack up when you leave. Floor very dirty and finally no toilet paper in ladies room. I went to the end of the counter where you pick up the order and asked to speak to the manager. While waiting I looked in the meal
Prep area. The garbage bin overflowing and tras on the floor. This is not what I expect from Panera.
When the manager came and I told him these very thoughts he said I'll take care of it and turned away from me. I don't have any expectations that next week it won't be the same. Too bad.

Went to Panera for lunch today with my spouse. After getting someone to take our order (vs. placing your own order on the kiosk), we attempted to order the Teriyaki Warm Bowl with broccoli. The employee was confused at what we were ordering. We repeated the order but she was asking, "Is that a soup"? No, it's a warm bowl on the menu behind you we replied. She stated she couldn't find it in the soups on her screen. Another employee came to assist her, so we repeated our order. Now we had 2 confused employees. We kept showing them what we wanted on the menu screen behind them. After about 3-4 minutes, one of the employees got upset with us, began getting verbally angry with us and they walked away. We were left there unattended, so we finally left the restaurant. We will not be returning and do not recommend others to do so. Definitely need to train the employees before they interact with the customers.

I have been going to Panera for years and every time just hoping that they get my order correct . One of 2 things happen - either the cashier doesn't take my order correctly because she doesn't know how to use the computer cash register or she has an auditory processing difficulty and doesn't enter what I am ordering correctly OR if she does get it right then the cook who fills the order doesn't read it correctly . Nobody takes responsibility for the mistake and there are no apologies but they look angry and frustrated .

I am not going to mention any names because if anyone gets fired it should be the people who hire and supposedly train them . When you hire you need to make sure they are really trained to do what they are supposed to do . Yo dnt just hire - you must give them a week of supervision by he job to make sure they can do it little if any mistakes.

I wouldn't complain if this happened once in a while but it happens 70 percent of time and if I am paying what already is a lot of money for the product then would like good service.

You tell us you listen to comments. Listening a not enough - you say give us another try we will be better. This isn't happening - everything is the same . By the way with all your mistakes I figure you owe me about 50 treats which no one has has ever offered for the mistakes

Let's try and be responsible and accountable capitalists

I would say thanks for listening but I'll believe you are listening when things change

I made an order at the Panera in Malta NY using the online app. It was a simple order, you pick two; apple fuji salad and cup of corn chowder, bag of chips and a turkey bacon sandwich and bowl of broccoli mac and cheese with a baguette. No special instructions, $30.56 paid, pickup in the drive-thru. When we got home with the order there were no tortilla strips with the soup and an apple, no chips. Double checked the receipt stuck on the bag to make sure the online order had gone in correct and it read right, the order had been filled wrong, but a note on the bottom of the receipt said "Accuracy Matters. If your order is not right, please let a manager know." so I picked up the phone and called to ask for a manager, first person to answer the phone asked if I wanted to make an order I said no, I was calling about an order and needed a manager. She asked me to hold on and I did, for 5 minutes then was hung up on. I called back, the phone was ignored for 10 minutes then it was picked up and again I asked for a manager, who got on the phone, I related what had happened and was told that the employee had not hung up on me but was looking for the manager who was in the bathroom and she was busy. I related what was missing/wrong with my order and was immediately told that those were free items so there was nothing that would be done. The tone was dismissive and rude, implying that I wanted something other than just to get what I had ordered and already paid for instead of substituted items I had not asked for and missing items from my actual order. Then I was again hung up on. I understand that Chelsea needs to use the bathroom like everyone else, that she has 'kids' working for her and they made a mistake and put the wrong items in the bag/forgot to put all the items in the bag that they should have, that it was after 6 on a Sunday and that she was busy. I don't understand being told the items on the menu are 'optional' for them to provide as all I really paid for was the soup so the tortilla chips that are clearly advertised in all the promotional photo's and listed on the menu are just 'free' extra's. As are the bag of chips, baguette, or apple. So they can just give you or not give you them as they see fit. I do not understand being hung up on 3 times and told it is because you are too busy closing the store to deal with an error made while you were open. I don't understand being told I was yelling at you when in fact I was simply stating I was frustrated with being blamed because my order was wrong and I had called to let you know, just like the receipt and your advertising say to. I also don't understand where it states that the items on the menu are 'optional' for you to provide once ordered and payed for. The fact that I can tell you that Katie is on maternity leave and Chelsea was using the bathroom and they are short staffed and can't handle the door dash orders being made after their closing times should be a clue that my online order picked up through the drive through, nor my phone call to alert you to the improperly completed order is not the problem. Professionalism and common courtesy go a long way. Not everyone is looking for a refund or something free. Most of us just want what was advertised to us and payed for. Without the drama, without the accusations and without the frustration of being hung up on for reporting the error, especially when YOUR receipt asked for the information.

I used to love Panera, but..... todays visit changed that. Prices are ridiculous and customer service horrific. We ordered Tuna salad bagels, BARLEY a tablespoon of tuna. I did ask for a bit more and was told I would have to pay extra. Then cashier argued with me about what I ordered.
Bad experience all around.

Hello - I am a member of your sip club and go every morning to the location on George Washington Highway, Lincoln RI.
I don't know what has changed in the last 2-3 weeks but your light roasted coffee is absolutely awful. In fact it was the subject of conversation this morning among those who go each day. It is bitter and I can't drink! And many others can't either.
Don't know what's changed but it's not good. I complained this morning to one of workers and they said many people have also been complaining.
Since this has happened I no longer go to Panera for coffee on the weekends.
I hope it changes.
Thank you

Advertising small Napa almond chicken salad sandwich for $6.19 and charging $7.79 plus .68 tax.
$8.47 total. I asked why, he said
The prices have gone up. I said. You cannot do that. I asked to speak to the manager. She said the same thing. The board plainly stated $6.19. I said you can't do that, it is against the law! She shrugged. At least, before changing your prices to current prices, they should have given me what was advertised.
WOW, has the world cha get si ce I was in retail. Anything goes now!

Just paid $15.80 plus (tax?) for two take out soup portions in containers smaller tha a mid-size cottage cheese container.
I believe your food is good but some is way overpriced.
Even the Pick Two is overpriced. On the other hand if you stopped giving the chunks of bread out with everything you could maybe increase portions or decrease the prices a little. Either way we will use up out gift cards and never go back.

On 3/9, I ordered 2 pastry rings to be picked up at he Lodi store at 6:10 am on 3/10. When I walked in the girl behind the register noticed I was looking for an order and asked me for my last name. She walked over to talk to the girl behind the coffee then went into the back. The girl from the coffee moved to the register to help a customer that came in after me. After helping that customer, she thenasked if I could be helped. I told her that I was being helped, that I think the girl went in the back to get my order. The employee behind the counter then informed me that they don't have pastry rings right now. I am not upset that there were no pastry rings, what I'm upset about is that no one informed me that they didn't have my order. Why didn't someone let me know right away and I was left waiting until after helping other customers. I would have ordered something else, but I was so upset I walked out. This is the second time I had a negative experience at this store and can't believe how unprofessional the employees are. I wish I would have asked for their names.

I will no longer buy gift cards from Panera for gift giving. Their customer appreciation of providing a $10 gift card with the purchase of $50 is not convenient and weighs on the probability it won't be used. The "appreciation" card cannot be used until January although purchased in the beginning of December and then expires within a month. My buying of gift cards will only go to other businesses who truly appreciate their customers with GENUINE offers that can be used when it is convenient for me to do so.

Today I had a very unfriendly order taker at the Oabera in Brentwood Blvd in St. Louis. She was poor communicator, seemed to be doing me a favor by taking my order. On 1-10 basis with 10 being excellent, she was a 2. I'd say 1, but at least she got the order right. You need people with friendly customer attitude.

Re: Store 203596
It is nice that you provide employment to developmentally challenged individuals so thay can feel productive. I'm sure Drew appreciates your support and everything will become routine for him in another month or so.

Everytime I go to Panera I am typically forced. I walk in over the brown tiled floor avoiding the spilled condiments and soups droplets. I will stare at the menu for around 12 seconds and know that these are the types of foods that appeal to me the the least. I still order something so I don't look like a weirdo. Usually I play it safe with a soup and sandie. Also for my last complaint; why is the soup always cold? Like are they dropping ice cubes in it before sending out? Any ways I'll be over at chilis getting $50 wings from here on out.

I am a frequent customer at the Panera Bread at the Richland Towne Center in Johnstown,Pa. For several months I have noticed the deplorable condition of the building exterior. The awning canvas is torn partially and hanging from the aluminum frames on the majority of the awnings. The canvas has been hanging and flapping in the wind for several months. Plus, several of the exterior lights are bent at unsightly angles. I will say one positive thought; the state of the awnings detract the customers view of accumulated trash around the building and the dirty plastic bags caught in the tree branches surrounding the patio.
This Panera is within a mile from University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. I have seen students, parents, and event attendees frequenting this Panera. Flapping awnings and scattered trash is a bad look for corporate and my community. Please make the needed repairs and cleanup immediately. By immediately I mean March 2023.

My review is concerning Panera Bread online ordering. It is truly terrible! I have now given up after several tries over the years. Wrong items or additional items delivered. Bagels never sliced and toasted when requested. I cannot even access a previous order and receipt to verify if I was charged for the extra items. Just awful and it is too bad as their food is good.

I'm writing regarding my visit to Panera at Plattsburgh NY where i ordered a homestyle chicken noodle with a smokehouse BBQ chicken sandwich which were a huge disappointment . I have visited locations in Massachusetts which was delicious.
Has the menu changed recently because i was so disappointed in the taste of my lunch.

I used to frequent panera on cleary Blvd plantation. The last few times I was there will be the last! Behind food prep counter a mess- looks dirty. Coffee urns never filled unless ask. Floors dirty. This store will definately go out in the near future. Except for baked goods store is one big mess! Had a young man wait on me with long dirty mail on pinky. Gross. If you even care you'd better clean up!
