I called Sony customer service yesterday to resolve an issue where my Blu Ray player suddenly wasn't connecting to my TV, and then a second issue where I was having trouble getting the wireless internet to work. I had no trouble getting through the phone tree to speak to customer service reps and both the people I spoke to were professional, empathetic, and helpful. The customer service people walked me through fixing my issues in a clear manner and both problems were resolved quickly. Overall my experience with Sony customer service was refreshingly positive, since phone customer service is almost always awful!

My recent experience with Sony's Customer Service far exceeded my expectations. My Walkman MP3 player had begun malfunctioning so I sent it to Sony's Service Center in Laredo, TX. Within a month I received a refurbished unit in exchange for malfunctioning MP3 player. This experience, including the emails and one phone conversation I had with Sony's service employees, left me extremely satisfied with Sony's Customer Service much to my total surprise!

If there is a choice I will always buy Sony. The reason is simple, their products are of the topmost quality and they match it with great support and service. Recently my ps3 stopped working. I did some research on Sony's wonderful support site, and also looked through their community forums. I figured I had to send it in for repairs. Since it was under warranty, I went to their repair site, filled up a very simple form, and they emailed me a shipping label. I packed it in my own box and took it to UPS. 2 days later it is with them. Next day I get a notice that the item has been shipped back. And another 2 days later, I have a nice new(refurbished) ps3 that works like a charm. So in a week and minimal fuss they got me a replacement. Since I only ever play during the weekends, I never felt like I was without the ps3 the whole time.

Called Sony customer support on Friday with questions on download for Sony Bravia Tv to turn of start up sound. He told me that he would need to send me a thumb drive that would correct the problem. Recieved it today (Monday) download worked perfectly and was able to turn of start up sound. Great customer service and follow through we would definetly buy another Sony product.

My 46" TV stopped working.Over 3 years old No warenty Parts and repair over $700.Got in touch with Sony and explained my problem They got back to me and offered to cover 1/2 the cost of the repairs.I think that this is more than fair.I know that not everyone will get the same as it depends on the product and age I wasnt expecting anything as good as this.I was just looking for a break on parts

In relation to the complaint filed on this website on June 22 and June 23, of 2010, wherein the Sony Customer Realtions Department mistreated a Consumer; the Consumer was contacted by Sony Electronics on July 2, 2010; this was after two letters were sent to Sony, one directly, and the other through the Better Business Bureau of New York. Sony offered to resolve the set of circumstances, apologized for the absurd treatment, and offered more than what the warranty covered, suffice it to say, this response was commendable, in light of the elongated period their outsourced customer relations allowed the issue to exist.

My son's Sony Vaio computer got the "blue screen of death" 9 days before the warranty expired. We called tech support (which happens to be in the Phillipines) at 10 p.m. our time on Friday night. They asked us to fax our receipt, which we did, and contact them 3 hours later. We contacted them the next morning, because we didn't want to call them at 1 a.m. our time. They confirmed that they had the receipt and told us that a repair tech would call us within 2-3 business days to set up replacement of the hard drive. The tech called 2 days later, came to our site, and here it is, only 5 days after the computer died and we have a new hard drive and updated software. Very pleased to find a company that did what it said it would do!

This was awesome. Just bought wireless router for my puter and called sony tech support and 10mins later my ps3 is wireless!!!!! Woo Hoo!!!

I waited forever on hold for a customer service rep, but considering that I called at 10:00 pm on New Years Day I will let that slide. I am greatful that they were even open. The rep was extremely knowledgable and helpful. I have been scratching my head since Christmas trying to wire a home theatre system correctly and finally gave in and called. He coached me and had the problem fixed in less than 5 minutes. I would highly recommend giving them a call for tech help.
