my 2018 crosstrek is on its FIFTH radio, installed sep 2021 and started acting up after only TWO DAYS > I told dealer ( subaru of saskatoon in Canada ) that they should maybe dig further into the car to find the problem . They Said No and dealer has now told me that subaru-canada is saying no more warranty on my radio,,, even though the IDIOTS have Never Figured Out the Radio Problem

I bought a 2013 Subaru Forester 4 years ago. It only had 42,000 miles on it and then I had an oil consumption test. My warranty expired by two months! They would not cover the short block expense because I was past my two month warranty end date. They would only help out $1500!!! They've donated over 22 million to charity and animals. They have a "love promise" they won't stand behind. The consumers that buy their vehicles, they can't help them out! I am a single mom who couldn't afford to fix my car. This issue has cause further issues in my catalytic converter. I do NOT recommend buying subaru. I have no idea what I will do now for a vehicle.

I bought a used Subaru Forester from hunter Subaru in NC. IT HAD ABOUT 50,000 miles on it. It had a little vibration when I was braking. It got worse as I drove it. I took it to the dealer twice for oil changes and tire rotation. I asked about the vibration. They answer technical question but said mine were ok. They broke 3 studs on the wheel to put the lug nuts back on and charged me for two. I lost confidence in there service department and took it to a mechanic I had used for my old Xtera. He said what they did is called pad slapping. They put pads on worn rotors. The cost of the repair was $724.74. The studs they should have know how thin they were and how to hand tighten them.

I loved my Subaru, until I was lied to by the sales men at the dealership. I plainly told the sales men I don't like donuts for spare tires and when I open the trunk and seen a pace saver I refuse to be lied to no this doesn't have anything to do with the car but these are the kind of people representing your vehicles. Can't be trusted

2013 forester ,blown engine and bad cat. Used slot of oil. Dealer wants 10g's to fix! Didn't even pay that much for it. Had 140 thousand miles. Never again!

I found out in November 2021 that my cars computer was not configured in the Subaru Portal and as a result, I wasn't able to download map updates. I contacted a Subaru USA representative in December and communicated with him for a couple weeks and he then just stopped responding to me. I took my car into a local dealership, they were unable to fix my problem. Six weeks ago I took my car back into the dealership and left it there so they could correct the pro lem...my car is still in the shop and they have not fixed the problem...Hummmmm

Waited 4-1/2 hours to get a 2020 Outback towed with 13,000 miles. Went to go to work car had no power. Subaru called wanting to know if car was delivered to dealership. How do I know. They did not provide me a loaner car. I bought this car as my retirement car and heard so much about quality and safety. I think I made a bad choice.

I went into chico suburu to have my oil changed on my imprezna, they asked me if I wanted to replace filters, which I said yes to but didn't bother to ask if I wanted to fix a leak, have a diagnosis see what's going on as the engine was saturated with oil, they just said I had some oil on the engine and they hired it off...it was several days later when I got the email saying I needed a diagnostic I had an oil leak, and I love this part, "you chose to postpone at the time"! Ha! What a bunch of bs, I'm going on a trip next month so if they had told me about it I would have gladly had them take care of it...as it is now, I will have to postpone the trip...thanks suburu for nothing, Danny Magana was my service advisor, if you get him, be sure to ask for someone else!

It has taken them almost 4 hours since my appointment to replace my airbag recall. Whats up with that, when I was told 2 hours? Did others go ahead of me? I now am nervously waiting them to get done because I am by myself and didnot want to drive in the city after dark.

Disgusted with the service we have received after buying a new outback in March 2021. First problem minor second problem took two attempts to resolve rain getting in the driver side. Then the touch screen stopped working and we cannot get local dealership to look at it until December 20th. Now we ha rain getting in through the passenger side. Killed all excitement about this new purchase.

Just want to tell you about experience with my 2015 Subaru Forester which I bought new. Several times when tires are replaced or brake service mechanic had to replace wheel studs and wheel nuts because they had damaged threads. I'm 72 and have owned many cars never had problems with wheel studs which should not normally need replacement. Other mechanical parts are fine I am basically satisfied with this vehicle. This also poses a problem if a tire needs to be changed on the road if a flat tire occurs. Please respond

10/25/2021- I'm writing this comment regarding my 2015 Subaru Legacy. I purchased my Legacy in 2014 and I have received good service from my local Subaru dealer located in Lee's Summit, MO. I'm just very disappointed in the 4 tires I purchased/replaced in 2019. The original tires lasted 5 years with only one repair within that 5 years. I replaced the tires with Avid ascend G 25VR8ASCGT:225/50 28.0 the very same brand of tires that were originally on the car. The total bill paid for 4 tires $906.26, R/O# 434274/1. The current tires haven't lasted 2 years, I'm in the process of having the third tire replaced with the 2 year road hazard warranty expiring on October 30, 2021. All 3 tires had slow leaks caused by a hole or separation in the inner sidewall. The sensor lights were always coming on even when there was no leak. Even though I had a 2 year road hazard tire warranty I have paid an additional prorated tire fees as listed below: 9/29/20, R/O # 453571/2 amount paid $164.14;
8/4/21, R/O# 472974/1 amount paid $92.68; 10/18/21, R/O# 477655/1 amount paid $ 200.01, tire wasn't prorated but warranty doesn't expire until 10/30/21, I'm asking for prorated credit when I pick tire up. Total prorated tire fees paid to date $456.83. The last 2 tires that were replaced had to have the tread shaved down. I'm driving on my "donut" tire since10/18/21 waiting to receive the new shaved tire. I'm a senior citizen that try to keep my car in good shape but I get very nervous when the sensor light comes on or slow leaks happen on tires that are less than 2 years old. I feel that the replacement tires were imperfect when purchased. I didn't include the dates I took the car in, because the sensor light was on, and no leak was found at the time. I'm not sure if this is the right site to air my disappointment, if it isn't please forward to the right department. Thanks for listening.

dealer installed FIFTH radio into my 2018 crosstrek on Sept 02-2021 >> BY Sept 04-2021 that new radio was already ACTING UP >> NEITHER the dealership or subaru-canada have a CLUE or CARE >> PATHETIC

I had my fuel pump replaced and a LOF at Benn Subaru, they failed to inform me of the mileage on my timing belt which was indicated on a sticker under the hood, A PROFESSIONAL would have INFORMED the COSTUMER and looked at it as another job opportunity NOT BENNINGTON SUBARU they just take ALL YOUR $$$ & hang U OUT TO DRY!

I just wanted to say," the person who came up with the Subaru Forrester commercial with the Lab dogs should get a raise.if I could afford one I'd at least go and check out the vehicle because of the add.
The lab driving and passengers especially the pup signaling the bull in the semi has a powerful impact on the brain and feelings. This is called excellent advertisement.

We called Subaru Roadside Assistance Sunday, July 25, 2021 because the Subaru lost power, as though it were out of gas, but the gage showed we had over an eighth of a tank. We mentioned this to the roadside assistant Rep. several times. She took our cell and credit card #s and said she ordered us a tow truck. I asked if the driver will have a gas can with. She said, "Well do you need a tow or fuel?" Repeated AGAIN we didn't know and explained again the car lost power like it was out of gas, but the gage showed over 1/8 of a tank. She said it would be 60-90 minutes. It was 94 degrees, we had no water, no shade, it was horrible. After 90 minutes still nobody came. We called again to see how much longer it would be. COME TO FIND OUT, THEY DIDN'T SEND ANYONE!!!. They said they didn't know if we needed a toe or fuel, so they didn't send anyone, didn't call, NOTHING. They said it would be another 90 minutes. We told them to forget it, hung up and went to a nearby house a person there gave us a bottle of water and from a gas can, provided us enough gas to get to the next gas station 11 miles away. I tried calling subaru headquarters to report the issue and to let them know if our credit card was charged, they need to reimburse it since we did not receive service, but I was on hold for so long, I hung up and emailed them - 3 times and I NEVER heard anything back from them. So do not rely on their gas gage and don't use their roadside assistance - one big joke, but not a funny one.

I own 3 Subaru vehicles. Each was bought new. A 2003 Forester, 2014 Crosstrek, and a 2021 Outback Limited. I have gifted my older Subaru's to my two sons. I keep my vehicles in good shape with proper maintenance. In early 2020, my Crosstrek (under 100,000 miles) was in the repair shop at Irvine Subaru over 12 times in less than 6 months with repeat issues and new issues. This was during the height of Covid. For all my "troubles" I was offered a free platinum warranty, 8 years/120,000 miles on a new Subaru if bought by the end of last year. We researched. We talked to the service department about which model is tried and true...Outback. So we bought a 2021 Outback Limited. Fast forward 7 months to today, my 2021 vehicle has been in the Irvine Subaru repair shop 3 times. ?

Subaru is selling 2021 Outback models with the full knowledge of an existing amplifier issue!! They know it and they are not divulging it. My amp was replaced a month ago, and I am now having to replace it again. I bought a brand new car to stay out of the repair shop! No such luck. Shame on you, Subaru, for knowingly selling a faulty product. You had a loyal customer but I am no longer a fan.

I'm contacting Subaru because I am so upset that ac and heat vent is no longer in the back.. you advertise animal friendly etc.. you only can get this option now if you get the limited.. your vehicles are not animal friendly without this .. it should be standard on all Subaru's..
I have a 2018 Premium with leather and ac in the back seat... ready to get another but now need to get a limited...
You lost my business and you should not advertise as animal friendly.. I live in south Florida and my animals and grandkids need ac in the back..
Shame on you .. you lost my business and I loved my Subaru..

I bought my 2021 Ascent on January 3rd. I have already taken the car twice for issues. First my 2.1 USB ports did not work. They fixed it saying the unit was burnt out. Then My blue tooth music was cutting in and out. Then they had to update my stereo system. GPS is not working properly. I was told I needed to update that my self. When I tried it was kicking me out without fully updating, especially after I sit there for a while. Dealership said it was not up to them to update it. Just Last Friday (April 2nd), When I came and started the car, none of the electronics or the buttons worked. No GPS, No Radio, No Media nothing worked for 40 minutes. I drove down the road and only when I stopped for gas and restarted, everything started working. This car has given me problems and I don't even have 4k miles on it. I have a 2016 Crosstrek and never had issues with it

Your customer service was horrible today in regards to replacement struts that barely lasted 1 year! Rude and uncaring people in your corporate CS and dealership means we will take our two new cars purchases to your competition.
You don't care repeat purchases do you? Our family will NEVER get another Subaru again. Congrats on your failure.

Hate the ugly roof racks on subaru. Please bring bach the roof rack like the one on the 2018 outback touring. I will no longer buy another subaru unless the current ugly roof rack is changed.

I'm currently at the Hawthorne dealership
On hindry avenue
I have been verbally abused by staff and supervisor
They keep lying to me about pick up time for my car
And now making misogynistic statements
When I question where they have taken my car

I used to own a 2013 Outback in Tucson AZ. Developed excessive oil consumption during Subaru's Oil Consumption Recall Campaign. Their process to see if the car qualified for a short engine block exchange was if the car consumed 1/8 of a quart in 1200 miles.
The dealer in Tucson AZ performed an oil change, asked me to return in 1200 miles, due another oil change and measure the oil they drained to see amount of oil consumption.
It would of been a great procedure had they not overfilled the crankcase to begin with (3/8" over the full mark on the dipstick) and refill after the 1200 miles to the proper level. With these results, my car did not qualify for the recall. Numerous calls and complaints to Subaru and the dealer fell in deaf ears.
I no longer own a Subaru, nor will I ever own another Subaru. I traded the car after this fiasco for a Toyota Highlander and I've never looked back. Extremely satisfied with Toyota vehicle and customer service.
PS- My daughter owns a 2014 Forester that's been nothing but trouble with water leaks, rattles, oil use, electrical issues, etc. We are in the process of trading the Forester for a Toyota.
My suggestion- don't waste your money on a Subaru.

subaru ontario, ca ....called parts dep. for several hours yesterday one person answered and said parts dep was out to lunch call after 2. I repeatedly called after 2 till 4 (your call logs "may be monitored for......what was that again?" will show many transfers with nobody answering. Emailed them today for price check on parts to be installed. 7 hours later still no answer. Leadership training might be a good idea. Going to another dealership I guess. Too much to ask to do their job?
