what do you mean they have it locked? do you have any open tickets or a balance with them? if not, they can't do this.

how do you get around this?

all these actions that Teleblend is doing are illegal.
did anyone get their address?

Posted by te42lang

No inbound service for at least a month. Long delayed response. Promised it is working every time. Its NOT. Have a new service up and running but can't port my number to it because Teleblend has it locked. Really want to keep old number because I've had it for 47 years.

Does anyone have the address for Teleblend? I am trying to port my phone number to a different carrier and cannot find their address on their website or for online searches. They will not port the number unless I send them a letter of authorization.

If you owe nothing in fees to TB they can't say no when you tell them you are through and to close the account.

What grounds do they have to not close the account?

They didn't live up to their end of the contract for service...and IT'S NOT OUR FAULT that Teleblend blames a dispute with another vendor that cut off service. PAY YOUR BILL AND THEY WON'T CUT YOUR SERVICE OFF JACK ASSES.
So you get in a pissing match with one of your vendors and we suffer a month without service.

...and while I'm at it, WHOEVER HEARD OF A VoIP SERVICE THAT DOESN'T HAVE A PHONE NUMBER WHERE YOU CAN REACH THEM? YOU'RE SO SHADY IT'S RIDICULOUS. Your fees went up to a ridiculous amount last year. You basically doubled what you had been charging and supplied us with less that audible service. Nice trade off huh?

But you'll be in my rear view mirror tomorrow... should have done it a year ago. Just a closing thought TB....if you give me ANY PROBLEMS porting my number I will contact the BBB and every other agency that exists.

Had2Go again. I posted a few weeks ago and providing an update. Getting ToiletBlend to close out my account took a little doing after I ported over to Vonage. After my tickets to close the account when unaddressed for a week, I opened a case with the BBB. My resolution with the BBB was that Teleblend close my account and that they don't attempt to collect any more money from me for a service that was not provided. That seemed to do the trick.

I also forgot to mention in my original post, just before porting, I made sure to turn off automatic payments to Teleblend.

FYI. Comparing my upcoming bill for Vonage and my last bill to Teleblend...
Vonage:
Emergency 911 and Information Service Fee $1.99
State 911 $0.40
County Communication Service Tax $0.69
Federal Program Fee $1.34
State Gross Receipts Surcharge $0.36

Teleblend:
Emergency Service Fee $3.45
Federal Universal Service Fund $0.09
International Regulatory Recovery Fee $9.99
Regulatory Recovery Fee $3.65
USF Compliance Fee $3.35

Current Teleblend customer but trying to get away. Transfer request denied for invalid address. No specifics but LN vs LANE on the street name possibly. Or the zip code vs what Teleblend stores as A bit shady but the FCC says, they don't have a right to deny a transfer. No money is owed to the company. My line went out June 20 and came back July 15th. Nearly 25 days of no inbound service. Teleblend blames a dispute with anothr vendor that cut off service. Not their problem is in the email.

What should you do? Fees are now in the $34 per month plus the $6 911 monthly charges You can do the $99 annual fee by the 911 monthly costs are not included. They don't tell you the year is up and it rolls into the high monthly fee. Takes a while to catch on.

So what should you do? Keep looking.

I emailed Teleblend today and asked how much they were going to charge me for this last month and what was the charge on June 19 was for? Can you believe the BS they wrote me back. I told them I am not going for this credits "OVER THE NEXT FEW MONTHS". Give me the credits in ONE PAYMENT...
Now, can someone translate what they said, besides we're going to string you along a few months to keep you paying us...NO!

The charge on June 19th was for services for the prior month through June 4th. We have applied a credit on your account and you will be getting a few credits over the next few months as well. Thank you for your loyalty and patience.

Thanks,

I don't know why anyone stays with Teleblend. The company is a scam. They overcharge, have no customer service and apparently have not been providing any phone service even though they continue to charge customers.

Like some others, I have had Teleblend service since the Sunrocket demise. I honestly cannot remember any outages in the last 9 (?) years that were Teleblend issues - mainly Comcast. I have been dismayed about the continuing increase in price, but was going to hold on for awhile longer.

I have been extremely disappointed over the way Teleblend has handled this current outage. I lost inbound calling on June 18. About 3 days later I was fed up and sent an email to support to get an update. No reply for a few more days. I have received four or five emails from Teleblend telling me essentially nothing but please be patient. They must have a money dispute with Verizon causing this. I can't see any other reason for such a long delay. Fed up, I signed up with another company. My number was ported on Tuesday 7/7 and I was up and running that day. I sent Teleblend a cancellation email. They reply with a message stating my number will be fixed on 7/14 and if I stay with them they will discount the price by 25%. Too late. I am not sure if they can screw anything up now with my number. I hope not. Anyone who stays with them after this fiasco is a fool.

I like Craig have been a faithful customer since the shady Sunrocket failure and Teleblend seamless takeover. I have experienced great service until the last 6 - 8 months. Ironically the service has had several price increases in that period to the point that they are charging nearly what the competitors are charging. That said this last outage has lasted nearly a month with emails from TB that didn't start until the outage was nearly 2 weeks old. I have started the porting process in an attempt to save my phone number but it has been blocked twice by TB. Once for a mismatch in zip code and so far no word on why this second time. In the time that we have had TB service the zip code here was changed. I corrected the zip code on their billing site a long while ago. It seems they were comparing to a value from when I signed up. No big deal correct the zip code and resubmit? Waiting to see why the second time failure. I just wanted to quietly go and they won't let me. Unfortunately they are in the position of winning this one but will ultimately lose as I don't think they will be around much longer.
P.S. Knowledge ranking is based on that I am sure they KNOW what they are doing and are making calculated decisions. Reachability You CAN NOT reach a human on the phone, period!

Horrible experience. I was upset after they added some kind of Network Fee of about $10 early this year. Basically, a bill that was roughly $45, consisted of about $25 in taxes and fees. Messed up. I was thinking of switching then, but decided to sit on it, but then there service goes out. For 3 weeks people could not reach me, they would get a customer not in service recording. Very embarrassing. Throughout this whole mess they sent out about 6 emails, all stating the same BS story and reminding us that only the inbound calls were not working and that we could still make outbound calls. Teleblend was good while it lasted, but after the rate hikes, unreachable customer service and this service outage, I hope they go out of business.

Just waiting for the activation date on my new phone service. It will have all the features of a VoIP line, but it will be a hardline. It will be maintained by ATT at their office. My ISP will rent the equipment though. It is a product of my ISP, Dslextreme.com, it's called Fusion. It will double my speed and give me crystal clear voice.

I completed my number port today and am canceling Teleblend. I chose ring.to as the new owner of my old number, and I chose voipo.com as my new VoIP provider. Having learned a painful lesson with Teleblend, I will use ring.to to forward calls from my old number to the new number that Voipo assigned me.

DONE!Switched to Vonage. They continue to bill even though services hasn't worked for almost a month.

You can always port your number to a new service provider even if the number is not working. I moved my number to a new provider. Move your number, dispute all charges and contact the FCC. TELEBLEND IS OUT OF BUSINESS.

Posted by Before You Cancel TB

Before you dispute the latest charge by Teleblend ... know that when the are made aware of the dispute, they will cancel your service. So it's very important to make sure your TB number is ported to the new number you want first. If you don't have that number still working, you won't be able to port it.

As p/o as we are at them, I knew this day was coming and I should have done this a long time ago but I was too lazy. Even when I noticed that since last November my monthly cost has gone up to around $35.00.
Now, I can't screw around anymore if I want to keep this number. I put in an order for a new service yesterday. It won't take long to activate but then we will port my TB number to it.

After that's done and I make sure all my ducks are in a row, I'll cancel TB and dispute this last month's charge. You can do it the way you wish, but I know this is the safest way to do it if you want to keep your number.

my little 3-step program to end the nightmare of Teleblend:
#1: Choose new service provider and port your phone number.
#2: Contact your credit card provider and dispute Teleblend charges for the most recent months.
#3: After number has moved to new provider (1-4 business days) send cancellation notice to Teleblend.

Service for incoming calls has been out for 10 days. No notification from Teleblend. All service lines busy, no responses to emails.
This is a fake company. Avoid at all costs.

what's thie b.s. i'm hearing that you can't port your number if people are getting

"this number is disconnected", but i can make outgoing calls.... so technically the number IS working...correct?

Posted by CYA...woudn't want to be ya!

That's it Teleblend. This isn't a business, it apparently is a hobby to you.

Why did you charge me again since I have had no incoming calls since the 17th of last month? I will be lodging a complaint with the FCC, FTC and getting new service on Monday.

I have given you more than enough chances to get your sh%t together for months and to fix the lousy modulation people hear on the calls but you did nothing.

I've been with this company since Sunrachet days.

This is the most disgusting VoIP service out there....

GOOD BYE!!

Switched last night to Vonage. Currently in the process of porting old number to Vonage. Will see how it goes and will update if run into any issues with Teleblend.

Teleblend charged my credit card even without having service. I disputed the charge and got my money back. Make sure to dispute any recent charged Teleblend charged you. I moved to Vonage and now I have service.

Teleblend is done, for me at least. I had the same issues as most have here, can call out but not get a call in This has been going on since mid June at least, I told them to cancel my account but they said I still owed them for the last month. So I paid the damned bill, I did not want my number ported and they responded, thanking me for paying. I had been a customer from the beginning and had been reasonably happy with their "service". This was the last straw
This company is a day late and a dollar short. It was not until the last week that I had EVER gotten an email from them to explain they had an issue providing service. What a waste, but then their escalating prices were out of line so GOOD BYE Teleblend

I have been with teleblend since 2005 (when it was sunrocket).
My last received call on teleblend was June 18th. By June 26th, I decided that if service was not back by Monday morning I was leaving. Spent the weekend looking for alternatives. Vonage had the most comparable service option for my needs, with 1 cent a minute calls to the countries my family calls. Pulled the trigger with Vonage on Monday the 29th morning, got the adapter July 1st, and the number port completed July 2nd.

I was paying annually with teleblend, but it seems like I was still being charged a good deal every month. I am not sure what will happen after the 1 year promotion rate with Vonage, but I have the feeling it should be around the same as what Teleblend was ripping us off for, but at least they might be giving us a better and more reliable service.

FYI: Overseas calls... Teleblend would magically disconnect calls after around one hour and call quality was not very good. She already tested out Vonage, and it let her talk for 2.5 hours last night with no drop and she said it was crystal clear. Fingers crossed that it stays this good.
