Timex Customer Service Complaints - page 4

My husband bought me a Timex for my birthday and the date does not show up correctly; we went to take the watch back to Walmart, to exchange for a working watch, had receipt and it had only been 1 to 2 weeks since purchased but had not been worn; Walmart would not take back any Timex watches or exchange, in fact Walmart would do nothing for us but give us a box to send the watch to Timex; what kind of scam is this, is this Walmart's scam, is Timex going to give our money back or is this a dual scam between Timex and Walmart? We have had over 10 Timex watches in the past and will NEVER buy another due to the treatment we have had; if Timex will do the right thing by giving us our money back we would consider buying another but NEVER from Walmart. I would like to find out who's scam this is, Walmart blamed it on Timex, what will Timex do?

I know the CS numbers are on the Timex.com website somewhere-- I found them once. Couldn't this time... had to use the Google machine to get me HERE to find the number.

Once there, and after waiting on hold for quite some time, the CS lady spoke politely enough...

I didn't get much of a chance to see how well she listened.

No change from Timex THEY JUST DON'T CARE!

I would not buy Timex again EVER even when purchasing in the US. We have had the same pathetic experience with a women's heart rate monitor to help train for a triathlon. First one replaced under warranty after considerable effort, then the replacement had the same problem and they refused to accept that it was their responsibility. The absolute lack of service, acknowledgment or even care from Timex was appalling.

Athletes should not consider this brand - they just don't care. And since this is the message they send to customers keep away from them!

Don't ever buy anything from the Timex online site! I ordered a watch as a gift on 12/19/09. Received an e-mail 12/21/09 advising that my order was canceled - no reason given. Recording on the Customer Service number advised they were closed till 12/28/09!

12/23/09 I receive another e-mail from Timex telling me my order was shipped but not overnight as I had requested and paid for. The watch had still not arrived by 1/4/10. I called customer service and was told my order was canceled due to lack of inventory. No apology forthcoming except a grudging. "Well I apologize that we had no inventory."

Horrible, website and ghastly customer service!
