I have been systematically skimmed from my payments of shipping. For every payment of $3.49 for Media mail shipping has $0.85 removed for absolutely no service.

I wish to be refunded for this theft of my money,
The receipt shows the $3.49 was paid by the customer but I am only reimbursed $2.64. The shipping cost me $3.00 and the padded envelope is $0.50 to $0.75.
I do not contest the 15% commision but that is all I should pay. And all I do pay on Amazon.com

I had bought two books but was sent a message from the sender that he had already sold one of the books and I would not be getting it in the mail. However, he has not cancelled my order and I am still being charged for it even though I did not get the book. I want my money back and my order cancelled.

On July,28th I attempted to make a purchase of three books totaling $21.93 thru paypal.Your sight said that the sale could not be completed at that time. I left your sight and shut down my computer. Later that day I returned to your sight and was able to purchase 2 of the 3 items that I had tried to buy earlier. Today I see that both orders have been shipped. Paypal says they can't help me and trying to get through to an actual human being at your sight is impossible. This is why people hate the internet. You promise help but just try and get it. I did not order twice "by accident"!
Your site told me it could not process the order the first time. I want my money back for the first order. I doubt that I will hear from you but then again you have just lost a regular customer.

10 years ago and instructed me to edit it. Well the routing number could not be deleted so here I am almost a week later with no money and as other posters have said I can get no one on the phone and my emails come back with the same old tired instructions as to how to edit my account. I

Live and learn I guess. I have been ordering from Half.com for about a year now & I have had no problems until I was charged almost $70 for nothing. I thought something went wrong in my account but I have nothing in my purchases and all of my rentals have been returned. I have been looking for a way to contact someone but there is no phone number to call. This is rather annoying & can honestly say that I will never rent or buy from this site ever again. I will also be that customer that tells everyone else about the bad service!

This company has no customer service skills what so ever. I went online to see how to contact someone. There was no phone number! I went under help thinking thats where a phone number would be but guess not! They even said under help to contact Customer service but they gave me no phone number. Luckily my credit card company had the phone number and I called them but because they are "an online company, they don't answer the phone". What kind of BS is that?! Never go through them again

Half.com has a new scam... if you receive an empty envelope with the "item" missing, they send you an e-mail to return the "item" (which was not delivered) to the seller within 7 days (with a tracking number). If you reply that this is totally stupid, they wait 7 days and then refuse to refund because you did not follow their instruction to return the "item", which will now be redefined to be the empty envelope. New Helf.com rule #1: don't use half.com New half.com rule #2: always pay with a credit card as half dot com totally sucks.

I advise against trusting this company. They are definitely not concerned with the customer, customer service or protecting the security of customer's private information. I am a police officer investigating a credit card fraud case, and I have tried to contact this company for investigative purposes in every way possible. (phone,e-mail and fax). No one will answer or respond to any communication. Sadly, e-bay, their parent company, doesn't care either. Warning: If you trust this company with your personal financial information....you are at risk!!

I purchased a book on your website for $150.00 and my money was stolen because i never recieved the book...your company could care less because you have no phone number to contact someone for this reason...your a scam and I will tell everyone i know to pass the word on...your website is scum and I hope you all rot in hell for stealing from people.

worst online company ever, I do not recommend any purchases on this site. I sold a book for 20$, and after i had sold it someone else tried to buy it and had sent a payment of 24$ towards my paypal. So i told the second person that i had already sold it so she could cancel her payment. Well half.com took the pending 24$ out of my paypal and additionally took another 24$ from my personal bank account. Now i have to wait several weeks to see if wells fargo gives me my money back.

I sold a customer an xbox 360 game on Half.com and the payment took 3 WEEKS to get to my account and I had to wind up issuing the customer the refund since I did not ship the product since I did not have the payment so I could ship the product. I submitted the refund 3 WEEKS prior to the funds coming to my account. I contacted customer service regarding why my customers payment did not come to my paypal account and they did not give me any help regarding why my payment was pending. Customer service hung up on me and I spent 5 minutes waiting to speak to a representative and they were not of help.

Wish i would have read these reviews before i ordered my books. I ordered two textbooks from Half(a$$).com a month ago. I received one no problem the second never came. I could not contact the seller or company. I then called ebay to have them transfer me and they said there are "no phones at the company" you can only email them. I asked what if the computers went down how would you get a hold of someone at half.com the the phone went silent because the lady could not answer the question. I am asking everyone to boycott this site all together it is a ridiculous joke of a company and ebay should be ashamed to have there name associated with it. Now my money is tied up with them and i cannot afford to purchase the book i need elsewhere without it. THANKS FOR NOTHING you shoould change the website address

Customer Service STINKS. I won't ever use half.com again. I placed an order for 6 textbooks and submitted it and was told a fatal error occurred with my order and to try again later. I did and that sale went through. Turns out BOTH went through and all 12 textbooks (double) arrived after I cancelled the first order through customer service (within 10 minutes of receiving the email that both orders went through). Turns out they were never canceled even though someone at half.com "assisted" me. Never again. Now I have to pay to ship the second set of textbooks back even though it was THEIR error. I will buy my books elsewhere from now on. I learned my lesson. Wish I had seen this site sooner!

Your customer service stinks. I will not do business with a company that does not have the option of speaking with a live person. I have a disputed charge and they want me to fax my full card number and government ID to them so they can research this charge. You have to be kidding me. I called my credit card company and told them to reverse the charge. They are fools not to have an easier way of contacting customer service. I will never do business with half.com.

Horrible place to buy at. I tried looking for a "Contact us" or Customer Service in the website but I had no luck. I had to google it to find it. My checkout was not able to go through but it seems they already charged me for it...

This is company do not have anyone to answer the phone, it's nothing but a recording. Well, I WILl NOT use this company again. I reaaly wanted to make an order but I was having problems and I couldn't even reach NOONE!This company really need to get it together and show GOOD customer service! );

I truly regret selling my son's textbooks on here given the fact that I already shipped them and the website will not let me enter my checking account information so that I can be paid. Apparently the only way to be paid is by direct deposit to a checking account. I guess I am out of luck and out over $200 since e-mails to customer service go unanswered and there is no way to talk to a live person. I will never use half.com again.

Half.com is awful. I filed a claim with them well over 10 days ago on a book that arrived not as described, due to refusal to adjust the price by the seller, and I have failed to hear from Half.com, although they claim they will get into contact with customers within 72 hours. I have spent the last hour filing a BBB of Silicon Valley report, an Attorney General report, and finally a FTC report. Their physical address is . If you are having major problems as well, I suggest you file your own reports.

I ordered from 6 different people at the same time. The shipping info said I'd receive it ALL by 12/11/12(I ordered it on 12/1/12) and received it all promply, except one. When I checked it out, somehow the date went to 12/11/12-12/21/12!! I sent an email to the seller on 12/12 asking for SOME form of confirmation and have yet to receive anything back! The thing is coming from ACROSS TOWN for Pete's sake!!! Tried to call eBay, but no real answer!!! Very frustrating!!

Half.com is a joke of a business, and I will NEVER order from them again. I thought it was all over- finished the terrible trouble of renting textbooks from them last August (strange charges, other issues)--BUT it was not over. Apparently a book that was out of stock, never shipped to me, and refunded to my account is still on my account and I have been receiving email notifications to return it in two weeks. When I contacted "[email protected]," "Ophelia" wrote back "acknowledging" my issue and telling me that another book I had ordered is what I received the notification about (yeah...but the book that I never got was also in the notification). She went on to tell me that if I never received that book as well, I should contact the seller (which she just acknowledged had never written back to me about the book I never got). Then she complimented me on my professionalism "with the issue." So in a nutshell, she was telling me I was delusional and had never been receiving notifications about this book I never got, and that I was imagining seeing it STILL on my account.

If she doesn't respond to the other email I just sent (asking her to take the book off my account basically) I am really just going to report half.com to the BBB. Not that will do much, but since half.com has no customer service department (that does anything to address issues), that's really all I CAN do.
