We rented a Jeep Cherokee on 4/21/16 from the E Sahara office in Las Vegas. Not knowing there wasn't a c.d. player we had already packed a container of 30 or so c.d.s.Upon returning it on 4/25 my husband forgot to take the c.d. s oUT of the car. When I called and asked to speak with someone in lost and found I was told there wasn't one.I explained what happened and he said we'll call you if they are found. Well nobody contacted me and sorry to say we shall never use Hertz ever again. I will be sure to forward this info to my friends and family. From a very dissatisfied customer.

I called made reservations by a lady a could barely understand from San Antonio airport. She quoted me an outrageous price I said I am not paying that and then miraculous she had a much lower price. I go to pick up car the man at desk said he had no confirmation for me. He said I probably spoke with someone from India!! Really! He said they rip people off! He was not helpful at all. I told him I would call corporate and he said corporate does not care. I said I will talk with my lawyer and he said so! So rude and treated so unfair! I am woman traveling by myself in an unfamiliar place and this is how you treat people??!! My rental record Also I told the guy I would return my car around the same I picked up and that would be 5:00 and he put 4:00. So I guess now you are going to charge me for another day.

I rented a car at Shingle springs ca. I got a Versa that it's speedometer was not working. I turned it in at Vallejo ca Hertz, and received a Down grade no cruise control, loud and uncomfortable. I rented for a week. I am driving a long way and I am very disappointed after waiting over n hour just to get it. I thought for my time and hassle I would have at least received a car of the quality. :( No one st customer service to talk to...

I am a musician and have been on the road for over 12 years. I always rent Enterprise because Hertz never fails to screw me over and charge me for things that I did not agree to.
I had to use Hertz this time because my car was in the shop and my insurance agent set up a rental for me at Hertz.
Hertz charged me for car insurance on the rental when I never agreed to it!!!!!
They have done this to me in the past when I did not agree to having insurance on the car and I know friends who have been screwed by Hertz as well.
I will never use Hertz again ever. Enterprise has much better customer service!

I am very unhappy with my experience about my with Hertz rental car. I rented a vehicle on 11/24/15. I was asked for my ID and debit card for security purposes. My information was put into the system. I was told to sign that I the vehicle was in my possession. I gave my insurance information. I was told no deposit was needed because I had State Farm insurance. I was handed a booklet and car keys. The rep told me that my rental was a 2015 Nissan Sentra. She told me to hit the alarm on the key switch and which ever car with the blinking lights is my rental car. She never left her desk. I was told to have a good day and enjoy my rental. I returned the vehicle on 12/9/2015. The same rep and a gentleman came out to inspect the vehicle. She came back in, told me everything was fine. I was asked if I needed a ride back to get my vehicle that was being repaired that was two doors down. I answered yes. The gentleman got in the same rental car that I had returned and drove me to my vehicle and left. On December 9, 2015. I received an overdraft by my bank in the amount of 396.70 by hertz rental car. I contacted my bank to file a claim. After several months of investigating, my bank sends information by Hertz claiming that I was signed and contact declining addtional insurance and it was for a damage waiver, which was never explained to me, nor was the contact explained to me!!!! I was handed a booklet after my signature. I was never told about any additional insurance at all!!!! There was no damage to the vehicle at all!!! I felt betrayed and lied to. I felt like I was scammed. I am a heart patient and on disability, which income is once a month. It is sad to be misinformed and taken for granted. Now I have almost $400 taken out my check that I only receive once a month for me and my two children. I am a single parent. I was never contacted by Hertz by any balance that I had. I am very upset about this whole situation. I feel that I should be refunded my money because I was billed unfairly and unjustly!!!! I am a very unsatisfied customer. I will never do business again with Hertz Rental car again. I will never refer friends or family to this company. I will file a complaint with BBB as well as consumer affairs. I have tried to reach out to the hertz to speak with a manager and is always told there is not one available. Hertz doesn't care about their customers or their satisfaction. It's all about the money, even if it's taken dishonestly!!!!!!!!

I'm in the Presidents Circle with Hertz. I use them for my business (Government Procurement) travel. At times I've rented cars from them for 9 months on a single job for many years needless to say, I've given Hertz ALL of my business and loyalty.
Last month I had a job in Minnesota and needed a car for 30 days. I'm having problems with my credit card because of identity theft. I called Hertz to see about using my debit card. They told me not a problem. I went online and paid for the full amount of my rental. When I arrived in Minneapolis the Hertz branch told me they would NOT take my debit card and they would refund my total payment back in 3 -5 business days. After 2 weeks pass... nothing. Look what you get for being a loyal customer with Hertz.
To make a long story short, I've called Hertz 8 times and get the same story. I called today and they didn't have anything on record for past calls but they assured me the money will be refunded in 2 MORE weeks. So total wait time will be a month and a half till I MIGHT get my refund.
It's REALLY sad that Hertz lost a good customer and a lot more business in future rentals for a little over 700 dollars. I will NEVER use them again and I've sent out a company wide email to my 300 plus associates to do the same.
This is the problem with big corporations in America where customer service does not mean anything to them just the dollars they can charge.
I'm really disappointed in Hertz. It's very sad.

do not use this branch of hertz. i had a terrible experience returning my car after an extended rental with them. when i picked up the car i had to insist on a condition review and they did not give me the normal form but a small acknowledgement slip after a hurried inspection from them. i had to point out defects that they reluctantly marked up. some defects they ignored as i was informed they were "normal were and tear"
what a different story on my return. they examined every tiny defect on the car. the only thing they could find was a small scrape on the wheel rim that i did not do but of course they claimed was my fault. when they discovered my car was hired as replacement vehicle under an insurance policy will my car was being fixed their eyes lit up. i disputed the damage and asked to see the manager claire. i took photos of the alleged rim scrape which was difficult as it was so tiny. the manage Claire said that hertz would be in touch to inform me of the process and the damage assessment. i said I completely rejected that i called the damage and would dispute it. I told them that the car was not inspected properly when i picked it up. they were not interested. i looked at other cars that had been returned and they all had damaged wheel rims.
one month later and i have received my credit card bill. i have had no contact from hertz but on the day i returned the car i have received a charge from them of SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS for the alleged damage. so on the day i returned the car and their office was closing, they processed the charge with no consultation or follow up.
i have been a top tier hertz customer for more than 20 years and rented cares all over the world without any issue. the way they run their operation at this branch its incompetent at best and in my opinion fraudulent. As a matter of principle i will dispute this charge and hire a lawyer to do so - they are ripping off their customers

Hertz charged me for a car I never picked up for 3 days when I called to cancel my reservation they reassured there would be no charges or fees. They chargedropped me anyway and refuse to refund the money. I am a single mother of 5 working full-time trying to make ends meat.

Rented a car for 2 days from Hertz. When I went back to return the car there was no one there and a sign on the door saying they would be back in 40 minutes. When the guy returned some 20 minutes later they charged me for an extra hour of rental. I admit it was a little late (maybe 45 minutes) but of course they charged me from the time I gave them the card and not from the time I was able to leave due to an inspection and other paperwork nor was there any consideration for time I spent waiting for them. Then the charge for one hour was $21.09 when the daily charge was $25 not sure how that math works?

My dad , who is 80 years old reserved a compact car, when he got there they made him wait 45 minutes, and then conceded that they did NOT in fact have a compact, and instead of offering a mid size for the same price they wanted to charge him $10 more for the upgrade he didn't request. And they didn't offer him a ride home so he walked six miles. Shame on you Hertz, located in redlands on colton ave. You just made us an enterprise family from now on.

Never ever will I rent from Hertz's again, the people in the office located in Wichita KS on Seneca St quoted a price, then when I had my daughter go to pick it up they wanted 300 more dollars because she was under 25, all of this was agreed upon prior to this date. They said they had to collect the money because she was using her bank card instead of his. So when you think about it, had my son in law picked up the car instead of my daughter this wouldn.t had been a problem. Of course they say that they are not discriminating against my daughter, but let's see what the nation as a whole has to say!!! Thanks Hertz for screwing up a perfect vacation!!!

Traveling for the holidays and knew I needed a rental car. I was encouraged to book early due to the holiday rush to secure my reservation (which also required paying in advance). Upon landing at my destination, I used the Hertz kiosk with reservation in hand - only to find that they charged me DOUBLE what the rental rate would have been if I hadn't paid in advance. They would have charged me $92 for the week. Instead, I paid $213 for a 5-day rental. Disgusting practice to prey on people during the holidays. Never again will I rent from Hertz.

reserved rental for October 6 2015with the drop off date for October 11 2015 at the Pittsburgh International Airport pick-up site...done on line.Gave card number and funds were deducted from account debit card but when I arrived to pick up vehicle I was told that the card I hand wasn't valid because it didn't have bank name or my name on it. Monies were taken from the debit card but I never received the car. I have to date NOT been refunded the funds deducted from my debit card for the transaction nor offered a means of retrieving the funds back. WOULD LIKE TO BE REFUNDED MY MONEY FOR THE RENTAL NEVER AFFORDED IN GOOD FAITH.

Added an additional driver but was not informed it would add an additional fee of $108. Called customer service and they said that it was in the contract we signed. It may have been but we trusted the agent to be honest. Customer service did not even attempt to make it right. - NEVER AGAIN will I rent from HERTZ.

I rented a Hertz car thru Hotwire in Sept. 2015. We picked up the car at the Colorado Springs Airport. Hotwire charged us and so did Hertz. I have contacted Hotwire 3 times in 6 weeks and can't seem to get the duplicated charge resolved.

What's not to like about expecting $140 tental for a week and getting presented w a $799 bill at check in Excuse #1 "new computer system" After hours and hours of arguing finally adjusted to closer to what I expected 4 yrs prior ALSO overcharged $100ish "fixed" by a voucher on my next rental that was NEVER honored. AND then there is the misuse of private info. What's NOT to like ???

I picked up a car at your 3230 Peachtree Road location in Atlanta around 5 PM yesterday.



I drove it home last night and discovered this morning that the tag expired. It expired in June of this year. When I called the location they asked me to drive it back for a replacment. I told them that I am not drive on expired tags, especially six months out of date. They could come on Monday to retrieve the vehicle.

I spoke to several Hertz reperesentive for the lion share of my Saturday. They too advised me to bring the car back for a replacement. This practice of advising your customers to break the law is offensive. I contacted my insurance company, State Farm and they agreed that I shouldn't drive on an expired plates even if Hertz would pay the ticket. AAA came and towed it way. At first they didn't want to because it's against there policy. Now I have to go to the airport to pickup a replacement. More of my weekend. I would appreciate someone in authority calling me at

Houston Hobby Airport Hertz location. Flooding on the main road on Oct 31st 2015. Cars getting stuck. Why can't Hertz find a way to put a sign so people can get there through the back route. Made the suggestion to two employees. No one cared and took any action. Fortunately I found the back way myself. The 1800 number I called gave me the wrong phone number for the location.

I have rented a car from tulum to playa del carmen (Mex) for two days. The price on the contract was 40US$ per day, with the prepag option which meant that I shouldn't return a full tank. When returning the car, the employee tried to convince me that I should refill the tank and charged 150 US$. I refused and told him to call the agency in Tulum to verify the contractual conditions and he refused. He then said he would charge me as agreed, let me sign a receipt (with bill in Mex pesos), but the amount turned out to be 120 US$. Sadly I didn't double check on the spot (being exausted and tired) and found it out only when it was too late. This is a complete rip off and I would welcome a full refund !

DO NOT USE HERTZ RENTAL CAR SERVICES!! Total RIP OFF! In my experience with them, I was proactive in calling and even going by to extend rental service dates. It was only afterwards that I learned they auto draft my checking account (credit/debit card) several times, periodically. OH, and the ABSOLUTE "push my button" was being charged $26.00 for a $1.25 toll, a week AFTER I returned their vehicle and final charges were deducted debit from my checking account. The PLATE PASS concept is a TOTAL RIP OFF. I am/was extremely miffed, dissatisfied and will never recommend this company to anyone. If at all possible, DO NOT use HERTZ. I will not EVER again!!!

Made reservation a week before pick up in California. Arrived and they don't want the ORIGINAL RESERVATION NUMBER. They want to start all over again!! Why- because they want to "badger" you into a "BETTER" car. After refusing three upgrades for more money I selected a vehicle. The FTC calls it a "BAIT-AND-SWITCH" tactic. ITS ILLEGAL !!!

Rented a car through Hertz for the arrival of our first child, just to make things a bit easier.

Thought I should pay for a baby seat, only to find that the one they supplied was over 10 years old: and no manufacturer recommends using one of their seats that long after manufacture as they can no longer guarantee a seats safety after that long in use.

When I told them this they did nothing. My bill still included charges for the seat.

Safe to say I won't be using this company again and have been telling everyone who cares to listen to a void them at all costs as well.

I rented a car in Germany for over a month. I received one parking violation and the local authorities informed me. Now I am back to the US and I see two charges on my credit card from Hertz. I called to see what the charges are for, they said you had 2 parking violations and these are admin fees. I replied I am only aware of 1 parking violation. The person said no there are two and you are charged. I replied, you cannot charge me before informing me. Their ruse and loud response was that's how Hertz works.

Well Hertz lost another customer. First, you are more expensive than other companies, what you wanted to charge me almost $700 to drive from Germany to France, Europ Car gave me a better car and charged me $200.

And these admin fees and your rules are stealing if your customer is not notified.

I will no longer rent from you.
