18002529141 "your call cannot be completed as dialed". The 213 number does not go thru. Poor delivery service and cannot even call customer service. How is this company still in business?

I emailed , called re no delivery today of paper. With no response.

I did not get my newspaper delivered to my home today. I tried calling the number and it was busy for 1 1/2 hours. I left a note about it on delivery service and still no paper. It is now 11;30 am and I am having a problem. I have been a loyal customer at this address for 40 years. I have not yet talked to a human being because it is now after 11 am. Wish I could read my paper this morning and read Chris Erskine's column. But no paper.

12/29/18@10:31am.
I am a Los Angeles Times subscriber for 35 years.live in 19604 Stallion Circle City of Walnut Ca. 91789 .we have a problems of our news paper deliveries sometimes we do not received our daily news paper or we're given a different local news paper.
Today 12/29/18 some of the news section is missing in which my 84 years old husband looks for it daily the Sport and California sections are not included in your deliveries today.what seems to be the issues!!! cause my husband Clarence S.Edwards is African American that works and served this country in the U.S.N.for 21 years and served and both retired from military and L.A.city. Your service are awfully demeaning to the elderly.
Thank you,

I have no chice but to call Citibank Visa and have them retract the payment for $63.45 and dispute it due to not being able to deliver the newspaper.

Posted by Danny

Once again, I did not receive a newspaper and NOW YOU DISCONNECTED BOTH PHONE NUMBERS, i HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO CALL Citibank Visa and have them cancel the credit card payment for the next two months.

12/20/18 ONCE AGAIN, No LA Times, ONCE AGAIN, LA Times stated they would have a paper delivered in 90 minutes, ONCE AGAIN, nO PAPER DELIVERED. Can anyone from the LA Times call me and tell me EXACTLY WHAT THEY DO AND WHERE OUR MONEY FOR THE PAPER IS GOING? I PAY $384.00 DOLLARS FOR A PAPER THAT CANNOT BE DELIVERED.....
Today I'm going to call my bank to Reverse the charges of $64.00 for two months that was paid on 12/17/18 DUE TO THE LA TIMES NOT DELIVERING THE PAPER AND AM GOING TO CANCEL THE PAPER. The best thing THE LA TIMES CAN DO AT THIS TIME ID TO FIRE ALL MANAGEMENT AND PROMOTE OTHER PEAPLE, INCLUDING THE MANAGER IN SAN CLEMENTE.
PAST COMPLAINTS FROM ONLY 2 1/2 MONTHS AGO
09/26/18 I live in San Clemente California and the LA Times has the worst delivery service I have ever seen. I started the paper on 6/09/18 and they have missed delivery at least 15 times, then when it's delivered, the paper isn't delivered until between 6:30 - 7:00 AM. If they don't deliver the paper they say you will have a paper delivered in 90 minutes. More lies, IT NEVER HAPPENS.

09/27/18 So far the LA Times has missed delivering the paper on Friday, 09/21, Saturday, 9/22, Sunday, 9/23, It was actually delivered on Monday 09/24/18 @ 6:45 AM has missed delivering the paper on Tuesday, 09/26 and AGAIN ON Wednesday 09/26 and Thursday 09/27, 09/28, 9/29/18 and are still are telling me after I call every morning that they will be delivering the paper in 90 days, WHICH HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE IN THE LAST 4 MONTHS.
ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL WHAT SO EVER AND THE LA TIMES REFUSES MY REQUEST TO TALK WITH MANAGEMENT.
09/28/18 Once again NO NEWSPAPER THE LA Times refuses to refund any of my money, deliver the newspaper and will not have any MANAGER call me to explain, apologize or refund my money. I'm going to be calling Citibank to stop all payments to the LA Times next month. That will SAVE ME $387.00 A YEAR FOR A PAPER THAT THE la TIMES WILL NOT/ DELIVER.
09/29/18 once again, the paper was not delivered on Saturday 09/29/18, when I called the LA Times stated they would have an investigation, HOW IS THAAT POSSIBLE IF THEY CANNOT DO THE MOST SIMPLISTIC THING IN THE WORLD AS DELIVERING A NEWSPAPER???? IT'S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE.
12/17, 12/18 & 12/19/18 Once Again, The Paper Is Not Being Delivered. I Called Yesterday To Report It And I Was Told It Would Be Delivered Within 30 Minutes, Which The La Times Always Says The Same Thing, , -But It Really Or Never Happens. The Manager In San Clemente Really Needs To Be Fired, He Does Noting About The Problem At All. You Know You Have A Terrible Worthless Company & /When You Have Negative Comments And Only 18 Positive Comments. The Other Problem Is The Paper Is Supposed To Be Delivered By 6:00 Am, But Nobody Answers The Phone Until /7:00 Am If The Paper Can't Be Delivered Then The Manager Should Be Delivering It. I Tell Everyone To Not Subscribe To The La Times Because The Can Only Deliver To The Seven 11 And Grocery Stores But Not Public Housing, Why??????????????

We did not receive our Thursday paper. Called customer service was told we would receive a paper, never happened. Now I am concerned about the Sunday edition...promises that aren't kept makes me wonder if the delivery service is not living up to their obligations.
If the times is using the same delivery service as the Wall Street Journal, then I know we will have a problem, because they can't get their act together as well.

Home delivery missed every few weeks. No one answers at the Times. No way to find out who is responsible for the deliveries. If the Times is irresponsible on delivery, might we assume that it is also irresponsible on the news?

Posted by Dennis F

Absolutely atrocious service for missed deliveries, which are becoming more commonplace. I used to be able to get through quickly, but no more. I tried three different phone numbers that the LA Times has listed as theirs, but no one (not even a robot) answered. Finally I got through to one number answered by a robot, and was placed on hold for 5 min. until I got the problem resolved and a apology from the robot that the Times would deliver a paper this morning. Your website is also defective as it will not let me log in. (No such person), nor will it let me change my log-in info. I am thinking of cancelling the LA Times. I've been a long time reader -- can't remember how long.

I found the cutline your Sunday front page photo of the late President Bush inappropriate and in poor taste. I voted for Bill Clinton in 1992, and I even agree that then-President Bush was sometimes inarticulate. But the time to point that out was not in a cutline so soon after his death. It was downright disrespectful and unnecessary. I can't believe that an editor approved that cutline.

I have been a Los Angeles Times subscriber for at least the past 40 years. Occasionally when I go out in the morning, my newspaper is either completely missing or 1 or 2 sections may be missing. When I call the Circulation Department to inform them of this, I get someone in the Philippines. I have requested that the delivery person toss the paper ALL THE WAY UP MY DRIVEWAY. I have even left a note when I send the delivery person a cash gift at holiday time. When the newspaper is deposited on my driveway at the intersection of the sidewalk, it is tempting for someone taking their morning walk to help them self to my newspaper. Also the delivery person may miss the driveway with the newspaper landing on wet grass. Even though the newspaper is in plastic wrapping, it may still be wet. Many years ago when I was in elementary school, I delivered newspapers for the Chicago Sun-Times. At that time, we also had to do our own collections, i.e., no statements were mailed. Most of the subscribers lived in three story apartment buildings. If they lived on the 3rd floor, I had to walk up to the 3rd floor in order to leave the newspaper at their door. The charge for delivery of the LA Times has progressively increased while the news coverage has progressively decreased. On the basis of the above concerns, I have thus seriously considered cancelling my subscription.

I am a long term L.A. Times delivery customer, (4 days). I had a repeated problem with wet delivery several months ago, which I reported. The service has been better until recently, but now 2 days in succession I have a wet paper. The delivery people should surely know not to toss the paper near the grass, (I have a very wide drive). I hope not to have to cancel my delivery - I am sure I am not the only sufferer. I hope you can help.

George Hirst

Palm Springs again. After numerous calls to numerous robotic customer "service" reps and one customer "advocate" I finally got a missing paper two days later, also promises for it to not happen again. Four days later, a shredded copy of the local Sunday paper is delivered, not the Times. ??

Palm Springs. Customer for approx. 5 yrs. From the beginning, frequent non-deliveries, but following a complaint, the paper was hand delivered, usually within 2 hrs. However, since the subscription was increased (doubled) in January 2018,4 no-shows. Most recently: Monday 2/12. Inre that, I have spoken with 5 cs reps (Shula, James, Troy, William, Meg) all claiming to be supervisors and 1 customer advocate Jeffrey, all promising to expedite a request for delivery on Tuesday, then on Wednesday. As of Wed 1:30 nothing. Most of these people speak marginal English; all continually interrupt with their prepared script about "understanding", being "very sorry for (my) problem", and assuring me the paper will be delivered the same day. Anybody out there have a number for a competent, effective Times employee that can get a paper on my porch? Trying really hard to continue to support solid journalism.

i received a notice that my newspaper subscription was having a price increase. i have already pre-paid for a whole year, what is going on. The delivery service is sporadic, and we never know if the paper is coming or not. We are loyal subscribers at this address for over forty years and before another twenty years, total 60 years, if that's not loyalty what is? Please rectify this horrible service.

I have been receiving the LA Times for 49 years, the last 6 months the service has been horrendous. The paper arrives a half hour to an hour late or not at all. Sometimes the local paper the Desert Sun is delivered instead. I have spoken to customer service reps, but nothing has changed. Please advise me.
