One of the worst customer service businesses in the Nation. They don't respond to emails from their so called help desk. They tell you through automated email that someone will be with you shortly. Never happens. They tell you absolutely nothing. this is what happens when you have 20 something whiz kids. I will make damn sure I let other people know how bad it gets. Although, the idea is good. Too bad the lack of business school basics causes the company to look like its run by 8th graders.

Hello
I am tired to trying to get help from Pinterest and getting an automated reply that does not help. I mistakenly upgraded to a business account and tried to change it back but could not. I then deactivated my account because i don't want to be charged for clicks on my pins. I then tried to reactivate my account so I could close it because no one will help me. I cannot log into my account, i reset the password but it's not working. I don't want to close my account, I just want it back to my original account.

I'm probably not the only one, but I got my Pinterest account suspended also, with no explanation whatsoever. I had been receiving notices before that some pins I pinned from other "Pinists" were deleted for copyright infringement or somehow violated their terms of service, after about 5 of these I stopped pinning all together and did not even use the account for about 3 weeks. Pinterests decides to suspend me even though my account had NO activity on it. Good thing I wasn't trying to make money with them or I would have been totally screwed. I have made repeated requests for replies on this matter without any word from them. My words of advise 1: back up your content as you go because just as surely as G-d can crank out an unlimited number of 4ssh4ts, these same 4ssh4ts will end up running a company like this and decide one day that they can become the thought police and decide what is offensive, what nudity is acceptable, etc. You're better off running your own blog and controlling your own content. It's funny how companies like FB, Pinterest, and Tumblr took an anything goes approach to their AUP's until they gained critical mass and some money, and forgot about the users that got them where they are in first place.

They say they do this because people need protection. Funny how this is also what enforcers of the mob say right before they start breaking kneecaps. It's really a shame that the country I grew up in (the US)I don't even recognize anymore. 2) Do yourself a favor and don't bother signing up with these folks as their rules are arbitrary at least and vague at most. Go to their competitors and show them that your voice does count for something

Someone changed the URL associated with my pinterest account, but they did not make any changes to the settings. Typically (based on my research of this issue), if someone hacks a pinterest account, then they change features of the settings (such as the location), or they change the email address associated with the account. This is NOT the case with my account. Someone is messing with the URLs so that a person's info no longer appears in search feeds.

Pinterest help people do not acknowledge--or fix this problem. I'm just wondering why....

Pinterest customer service more than sucks. They put my account in safe mode for some reason and won't let me change my password in addition, I sent a message to their so called customer service and got an immediate response that they would be in contact. Guess what ..... No contact. Tried to get a new password because it didn't recognize my password. Message said they would email instructions ....... No email. Etc etc etc. I have a bunch of stuff saved that I can't get to. Oh and also there is not info on what are the password parameters.

THIS REALLY SUCKS !!!?!!!!!

My account was suspeneded sometime between 12-19-2016 and 12-25-2016 I can not be sure as to date as I was not properly notified. I just recieved a error message saying my account was suspended. I have had my account wrongly suspended before and and someone at the helpdesk contacted me and corrected the mistake. This time I waited for 6 weeks, recieving several "how are we doing" for emails, but no actual contact from help desk, then finally a form letter saying the account was suspended and will not be reactivated, again, I reply to help desh asking for an appeal, as I tion ubelieve suspension was in error, and I am again met with complete silence. I have no reason as to why account was suspended, no way of appealing and if reports on other websites are correct this was intentional by Pinterest, they were having large outage problems and either through glitch or intentionally there are hundreds of complaints of wrongful suspension and and no response from help desk from people from the last two weeks in Decemeber.

Pinterest is also actively allowing accounts which sell cam and phone sex as well as prostitution. The photos themselves are of fully clothed women but the links talk about meeting for sex, there are also reviews of the sex services under the new "tried it" feature, and to say they are graphic is a understatement. Many people have been trying to bring this problem to Pinterests attention, and some say are being met with being banned themselves while the Pimps continue to operate freely on the website.

Can't login to my account. Says my email address doesn't exist. Try to look up by name or Facebook or even Goggle, can't find my. Tried support, after a week I have gotten a response from a woman who says she is a pinterest 'Expert'. She is actually just a volunteer. Been asking questions for 2 days. No help.

I too am another victim of Pinterest. I have been active on Pinterest since early 2014 and during that time some of my pins were removed by Pinterest, but on every occasion, I received an email notifying me of this.

"...We're getting in touch to let you know we received a copyright complaint and have removed one (or more) of your Pins. The complaint wasn't directed against you or your Pin; it was directed against another user's Pin of the same content that was uploaded by a user."

The majority of my Pins/Boards are typical and I have spend almost three (3) years collecting and building a Social Media Following of over Five Thousand (5,000) people, with well over 100K pins on 100 different Boards. I was invited to many Groups Boards and invited other pinners to Group Boards that I created as well.

But on November 1st, 2016 my account was suspended with No Prior Notification...for the first time. I used their online Help Form and told them that I don't believe that any of my pins violate their new policy. However, if Pinterest felt that some pins or boards were questionable, I would have expected an email, giving me the opportunity to remove those pins/boards without loosing ALL MY BOARDS!!!!!!!

Upon reading the new policy, the majority of my pins/boards did not violate any of their criteria. I asked that my account be reinstated and also asked them to freely remove any Pins or Boards, that they believed to be questionable.

I also told them that I have enjoyed Pinterest and hoped that I will be able to continue to do so, after having my account reinstated, including all the boards with the exception of those that they considered to be in violation of the new policy. On November 7th, I received the following email from Pinterest Help.

"Hi,

Your account is now active again. We ask that you abide by our content policies as you Pin going forward.

To sum them up:

While we do allow some forms of nudity, we don't allow sexually explicit images or sexualization of individuals appearing to be minors. These rules apply everywhere on Pinterest, including secret boards because they can be made public with the click of a button. This also includes Pins you found on other Pinners' boards. Their presence on the site doesn't necessarily mean that they're policy-compliant. It just means that they haven't been reported yet.

Please take some time over the next 48 hours to go through your Pins and remove any that may violate our policies as we have not yet verified the remaining Pins are compliant. Keep in mind that if we notice more Pins that go against our Acceptable Use Policy, we may suspend your account permanently.

Thanks for your understanding,

Pinterest Team"

Over the next 48 hours I asked my wife, who is also on Pinterest, to look at my account and to freely delete ANY Pins or Boards that she felt may be unacceptable or that may violate the New Pinterest Policy. The majority of the pins that she removed where mainly located one (1) board and where up for interpretation. She didn't find them Offensive, Degrading or in Violation of the New Pinterest Policy. She tried to put herself in the position of others, who may be of other opinion and deleted a number of pins.

After my account was reactivated I was very careful (conservative) about what I pinned to my boards. But then I started receiving emails from Pinterest saying they had to delete one of my pins because of copyright infringement with the same message as in the past, ..."The complaint wasn't directed against you or your Pin; it was directed against another user's Pin of the same content that was uploaded by a user." Most of what they deleted related to Fashion/Clothing Pins, no nudes.

And then, my Christmas present from Pinterest came early this year. On the morning of December 8th 2016, one month after my account had been reactivated, I woke up to find that my account was suspended/deactivated for the second time, again without any notice. I received No Email Explanation, and No Response from their so-called Customer Service. To date, five (5) weeks later, they have not answered any of my weekly email attempts to contact them through the contact form provided on their website, or to any of the direct emails I sent them.

Not all of the images on my Boards, could have been labeled as Pornographic or Explicit in nature? From their Acceptable Use Policy page that states - "Different people may have different opinions..."

I am beyond angry, over losing so many hours upon hours that I spent pinning and collecting images over these last three (3) years, only to have Pinterest take them away without giving me any reason. I, like most people, have a busy life and deal with many issues/problems on a daily basis, but pinning was an outlet for me, it was very relaxing, and it helped me to clear my head/thoughts. During the time that I was active on Pinterest I really enjoyed the hunt, that is what I miss the most. Just seeing what others had selected to pin on their own Boards was fun. But it was my own search to located pins of images that I would select, so that I could add them to my own collection of boards. The Quotes that expressed a thought, or a laugh I enjoyed. Motorcycles, Cars and Homes that I dreamed of owning. I found many books that I would end up reading, and fashion styles that I liked, and yes, many, many images of attractive Women. But I also enjoyed finding many pins and boards that I would sent to other pinners as well, for them to consider adding to their own Boards. In fact my Mother-in-Law, who is also on pinterest, would regularly send me Pins and Boards, and many of those pins where of attractive women, nudes as well, to be considered adding to my own collection. But all of that is now Gone! Gone because of a Difference of Opinion? That is the most frustrating part; to be band because of someones Interpretation/Judgment or just because of a Difference of Opinion.

The only email responses that I received from the Pinterest Help Center was asking me if I was happy with their service...NO!!!!

"Hi Joey,

We want to make sure you're happy with our service. If you still need help, respond to this email and we'll take another look.

If you have all of the information you need, please let us know how we did by answering one quick question:

How would you rate the support you received?

Good, I'm satisfied

Bad, I'm unsatisfied"

Not only am I not satisfied. I am angry and feel helpless, since Pinterest is openly ignoring all of my attempts to reach out to them and not giving me any opportunity to contact them directly to resolve this issue.

My advice to others pinners, is to back up your pins, before all of your hard work is gone.

Thanks a lot Pinterest!!!

I had my account suspended once and now it has been permanently deactivated. Pinterest told me in an email that my account will not be restored, and I won't be able to create a new account with this email address.

I had thousands of pins on hundreds of boards which included about 10 "secret" boards containing some racy but NOT sexually explicit content. Personally, I think they bumped me off because of the sheer volume of pins I have which probably take up too much broadband space. Instead of being forthright, they make up some tale about being suspended for unacceptable or objectionable pins. I believe this to be true because a simple search on their website will turn up the hardest core pornongraphy and smut you will see anywhere on the net. Those accounts seem to remain because they don't have a large number of boards or pins. I am deeply disappointed at the loss of all the time I put in to collect so many pins on so many boards pertaining to baseball, movies, music, travel, food & drink, cigars, guitars, amps, baseball cards and on and on.

I'm another victim of Pinterest. I've had my account suspended with no notice, no explanation, and no response from "Customer Service" after multiple attempts to contact them through contact form provided on the website. I'm very angry, frustrated and devastated over losing so many hours spent pinning and collecting images over the past few years only to have Pinterest take them way without giving me any reason. I had no porn or nudity on my boards. I had very generic topics such as recipes, animals, music, nature, funny memes, holidays, gifts, zodiac sign, favorite actor, etc. Prior to my account being suspended, I started received daily emails from Pinterest saying they had to delete one of my pins because of copyright infringement. It was a pin I had pinned from someone else's board and was a recipe for spinach balls. I received this email daily for a week or two. Several weeks later, my account was suspended. I cannot get any response from Pinterest's fake "Customer Service" department. I am livid! Funny that they have this statement on their website: "We put pinners first. If it doesn't work for Pinners, it doesn't work for us." Well, Pinterest, that has to be the BIGGEST LIE that I've ever encountered on a company website. Pinterest cares NOTHING about it's Pinners. If they did, they would have an actual Customer Service department that responds to customers and helps them with their needs and problems. BEWARE to anyone thinking of opening a Pinterest account: Your hard work, long hours and favorite collections can be taken away at the click of a button at Pinterest and you will be given no explanation and no help from the company.

Pinterest has no respect what so every for their customers. They suspend accounts for no reason, they have never answered my emails, (at least 15-20 by now. Do not try to call them, if you find a number it goes to a antivirus scam that tries to tell you your account is suspended because of a virus and they can fix it for hundreds of dollars. They claim they are hired by Pinterest. Given how bad Pinterests customer service is I think that it is probably true. I am quiting all pinterest activity. I recommend that NO one ever invest any time and effort into a company that is so incredibly bad.

Account suspended without warning and with no explanation provided. I had not knowingly pinned anything problematic. No response to 3x requests via the help centre for clarification or reactivation. This is really disrespectful of the customer. I have invested countless hours in collecting thousands of pins about architecture and interior design as inspiration for my own work. I feel betrayed by this service.

I have sent 4 request to have my account reactivated after being hacked. I've received 4 auto letters asking how i liked their service. No responses on my problem. Now when on click on help it says tocket fixed.

I found myself logged out of pinterest for the first time in years, I have over 78 thousand pins and over 6 thousand followers. I can't get back in, when it asks me to log in with facebook it doesn't work, it just flashes and goes away. My daughter searched for me and said I no longer exist on pinterest, I've emailed them at least 10x, I got one response from my first email and none since then. I give up...all my recipes are gone..I don't think I've ever had such terrible customer service

I have sent over 10 requests to Pinterest about my account with ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSE. It is the worst customer service I have ever encountered.

After my last update the app is just worst, now only 2 sections news and messages and you cant see the total of pins on a board no use in following a board with 3 pins, cant control who follows u and it seems like the total of nude and porn pins are more than ever,no use for this app anymore, and i still cant get them to remove my personal info from google even when my settings arecset not to be linked to a search engin

Pinterest recently changed its "You" section - unfortunately it was not an option, which it should have been for those of us in different venues. The company doesn't seem to listen to consumers and their likes/dislikes.

Posted by fiona

Cant get their contact email address. Its so frustrating and you end up wanting to complain. They don't close your account when asked but hold it open which I not good enough.

Posted by JT Rourke

These guys are the worst. They always send emails saying that they removed one of the Pins but don't tell you what it was or why it was removed other than it "went against their policies." No other explanation. With over 25,000 pins, how am I supposed to know which one it was??? And their solution? Close your subscription.

I am unable to see my recipes when I click on my Pinterest app. It says to create a new password. I did. The next day I can't get to my recipes. It says to create a new password, when I do, they say it is taken. Of course it is because it is mine. If they think I've forgotten my password then tell me the one you want.

Hello pintrest, I am so sad that pintrest has changed. It is now so annoying, you cannot open a pin now without it going somewhere else or won't open,or there is about3 or 4 ads.I am seriously considering getting off it all together. I used to be so excited to check the pins, now I just get angry and frustrated. Not happy.
