Good afternoon, I shop at your Ralph's market in the smoke tree shopping center in PalmSprings. I am an African American teacher and researcher who is Intersexual and was mocked and offended by one of your management team members on Sunday afternoon on Father's Day 2021 which was 6/20/21. I am friends with the local City Council and the PSPD with my book that I am writing which will be out in 2022. I would appreciate it if your management team keeps their comments to themselves or I will be doing my shopping elsewhere and I will let my company know how you treated me . Thank you

Disgusting!! Customer service rep is in Philippines and is impossible to understand. How about using someone who speaks English!?

As a regular WLV, Ca. customer, you need to have management look and gut your women's bathroom-tile falling off wall, tp exposed-very unsanitary, rusted sink! No tissues or paper towels near door. Looks like ghetto!!

Also very dangerous outside with no lighting under one section and poor lighting under the other. Gelson's knows how to manage a store. Take a look. Can't shop at yours in the evening when I need to go marketing. You can do better and should.

As my husband and I were shopping on Saturday, a woman walked in and starting shopping for produce. I politely asked her to put on a mask. No response. I asked her to stop breathing on all the produce and please put on a mask. She smirked at me and continued shopping. So I went up to the check stand and asked for a manager. I got the run-around. He (pointing to one check stand) is the manager, talk to him. Next time I asked it was someone else. They said they would take care of it but never did. My husband has cancer and cannot be around anyone unmasked and I decided to see this through rather than just leave the store. I continued to ask for a manager and finally someone actually picked up the phone and got someone to come out of his office. He told me that it is Ralph's Corporate Policy NOT to enforce masking if the customer doesn't want to. He can offer them a mask. He can give them a mask. But no one at Ralph's can enforce this. IS THIS TRUE? And do you get to choose which laws/mandates to follow? What happened to 'no shoes, no shirt, no service'---can't masking be added to that? Why did this one rude person's choice to NOT follow the rules matter more than mine? This was all happening while "Karen" was checking out and leaving the store. The manager was 2 feet away from this woman and could have easily just ASKED her to put on a mask as a courtesy to the rest of us. That would have gone a long way with us. As it was, we left our carts and the store and have decided to shop elsewhere from now on. Somewhere that actually cares about the health of their employees and customers.

I POSTED THIS ON FB AND ON YELP.
I know mask wearing is a hot topic for some people and I understand that not everyone believes that they are necessary and that's ok. I do! But when you enter a grocery store or other PUBLIC place with a lot of other people, I like to know that it is safe and people are abiding by the rules. This was not true for the RALPHS IN RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA on Santa Margarita Parkway. A "Karen" walked into Ralphs while we were shopping and started handling all the produce. I walked up to her and asked her politely to put on her mask. She ignored me with a condescending smirk on her face and clearly did not have any intention in doing so. I pointed out that she was breathing on all the produce and really needed a mask. No response. I went to talk to the manager and got the runaround. " He's the manager, talk to him. No, she's the manager, talk to her. Someone is going to go over and talk to her". No one came, no one did anything. I encountered this woman on several aisles still without a mask and her smirk getting bigger. One of the checkers finally told me that it is Kroger's policy not to get involved in mask disputes....but then why did they keep pretending to call "managers" when they clearly weren't going to do anything about it? I finally HAD it with this woman and if you know me, you know I do NOT like conflict and I don't yell. But I did this time. I went off on her as our carts nearly collided and I found myself face to face with her. I loudly told her she was the most selfish person in the store as there were elderly people here that couldn't risk getting sick. I went back and once again asked for a manager to back me up and finally a REAL manager emerged from somewhere in his office (where he had probably been hiding to avoid this confrontation). He told me that it was Kroger's policy NOT to make anyone wear a mask inside their stores. So if someone doesn't want to wear one, they do nothing. They can ask nicely. They can offer them one. But they cannot give anyone consequences for not wearing one. I find this unacceptable. We still are in a pandemic and masks are still required so why does this Karen not have to follow the rules when everyone else has to? As she walked up to the checkstand with the manager standing two feet away, I said loudly "There's Karen now--she doesn't believe the rules belong to her!". The manager once again said he couldn't do anything --nor did he even try to speak to her---so Gary and I left our cart and walked out of the store and will not be doing business with them again.
So if you are a Karen, please wear a mask when you are in a grocery store. It's not about you! And if you don't want to, you can always go to Krogers and breath all over their produce.....because they don't care and they aren't going to do anything about it!" End of review. My FB page is getting a lot of attention!

My husband has cancer and it is vitally important that while he is in public, he is masked along with others around him. I really thought grocery stores needed to follow State and County mandates and not make their own rules. I would have called the police if they didn't want to handle it but they simply ignored me and gave me the runaround. A simple gesture to go up to the woman and ask her to put on a mask or leave the store would have gone a long way with me. She may not have followed the rules but at least I would have seen that Ralph's cared. They clearly did NOT. Is this truly policy for all Ralph's/Kroger stores?
Thank you for your time.

I would appreciate someone looking into Ralph's on Kanan Road in Agoura Hiils. The people that work there are rude not helpful and could care less that you're a 20 year customer. They used to order something if you wanted it, now they don't even leave the front to help you look for something that you've been buying there for 5 years. You should look into the app Nextdoor for Morrison Ranch Estates, I am not the only one complaining about the people that work there with the exception of Harry and the guy in produce. This has been going on for a long time , getting much worse to the point I'm now driving to Calabasas to shop.

3pm Friday at the Simi Valley Ralphs. Our line is deep into aisle 4 with 6 shoppers in front of us 2 cashiers open. Stire recently put in self service; most customers don't want it. Obnoxious. Complained politely to manager who is one of two cashiers. She called for another cashier. This sucks. I've been shopping here for 30 years.

Ralphs Santa Barbara, CA on Carillo St. 6:30 a.m.
Cashier with a single-layer bandana, opening on the bottom, flowing mask, not protective. I am an RN at a nearby hospital. Do not appreciate a cashier with no protection, which that is not.
Called manager, who said she could not force workers to comply with a mask, yet they require shoppers to wear them.
Dangerous shopping!

I received Covid vaccine at your Downtown San Diego store on January 15. Thank you for having it.
I was surprised you did not have a process to set up the required second vaccine in 28 days. I was told to keep checking and when you get a new supply to apply online again
Today (Jan 18) it appears you are again offering it. I've spent the last hour attempting to schedule an appointment for my second shot, but after filling everything out multiple times, the appointments portal states the time I selected is unavailable. I've tried a dozen separate dates and times.
I want to make an appointment in person, but your pharmacy employee says she can't because "Corporate" wants all appointments to be made online. Catch-22. I'll soon be desperate to get my second shot and hope there's a way to get it at Ralph's.

I have been shopping at this Ralphs since they opened. I am a loyal customer and fought to keep this store opened when they tried to shut it down. I have not worn a mask in this stirred for this past year due to being medically exempt, the Managers and Employees have been fine with this as I social distance, use self check out, and as a blood donor I am checked regularly for antibodies of which I have never tested positive. On 12/25/2020 I was harassed by Mike (the director) who all this time has been polite, held numerous conversations with me, knows I am exempt and has had no problem this entire time. He was rude, confrontational and discriminating due to my being exempt. I shop not only for myself but for most of my elderly neighbors and many others. I am writing this because when so call Corporate I am told it is fine as long as I continue to social distance but he is not listening to them and he needs to. I shop at other stores like Stater Bros. and gave no issues at all as they understand I am exempt. Mask wearing us not a law but us a strong recommendation. It is recommended if you cannot social distance. I am considering giving my business only to Stater Bros., Vons and taking my clients with me. I try to shop them all to help keep them working through all of this but I will stop supporting them if this harassment continues and spread the word to my family, friends and community as well.

I live in Torrance and shop at this Ralph on PCH & Calle Mayor near South Torrance High school. During the period of several months the Deli employee Bethie is extremely rude to me, yelling at me, making me. I am 67, she is in her 20s. I complained about her to the supervisor Shelma. I thought she was reprimanded, but yesterday Bethie channeled her hostility through me again as I was ordering a sandwich. I talked to Shelma again. Today I was at Ralphs again asking Shelma what was done. She said that she did not have a chance to talk to Bethie yesterday and that today Bethie is not in. I complained at 10 in the morning and she did not have time?

Three (3) days now and not a word from Ralph's.
WHAT THE H_LL??? AGAIN I SAY: (WHAT THE H_LL!!!)
I do not drink. HOW IS THIS EVEN A CLOSE SUBSTITUTION FOR COFFEE FILTERS AND A CHEESECAKE??????
ARE SHOPPERS JUST ALLOWED TO THROW WHATEVER THEY WANT INTO THE CART AS A "SUBSTITUTION" ? I ended-up paying over twice the amount of the two original items. I was charged: 37.98 for the boxed? wine. The original two items were: 2.99 for the coffee filters and 15.99 for the cheesecake = 18.98 (times 2 = 37.96). You really should hire me as a shopper. If someone asked for Matzah and we were out of stock - well - I would just send them a nice $48.00 ham.

1/1/2021 2:15 pm Fallbrook and Victory Blvd Woodland Hills
Entered store with daughter and friend who was in front of us by a bit. She realized she didn't have a mask and went to the nearby desk to ask for one. I was trying to call out to her that I had a mask fior her.
Cashier Stacy yells at me from 50 feet away in an aggressive and unacceptable manor- knowing Nothing of what was happening. She also made a snide remark to my friend after she received a mask from the desk.
I asked for the front end Manager Dominick and then to Assistant manager Chris who refused my request foe an in ident report against this employee. I was told to call Corporate.
Corporate is closed today so I'm writing this report as a time stamp of incident.
This store has no one at the entrance monitoring entrances and does not have a count of people entering or leaving either.
The employee they have yelling at people at this store is an absolute liability.

This is just soo unbelievable to me! If I were a shopper and they were out of Matzah, well - I would just send the customer a few nice pork chops - or a whole $48.00 ham. If a customer needed diapers and they were out of stock - why - I'd just send them a case of canned dog food - or some really expensive "Prime" rib-eye roasts! If it wasn't so frustrating - it would be even funnier.

I am writing to share my experience this evening at the Ralph's on the corner of Goldenwest and Garfield in Huntington Beach, CA. Unfortunately, it was quite terrible.

I went in to pick up some groceries as I usually do multiple times a week. I grabbed my groceries, but I had forgotten to pick up some gift cards for my team. So, I re-entered the store to pick them up. I grabbed the cards I wanted and went to checkout. The lines for the lanes with cashiers were longer and there was no one at the self-check area, so I went to the self check lane. I began to checkout and I rang up all the gift cards. I wanted to try and use a Kroger gift card, so I chose "other" as my payment method. The screen stated that I need to speak with an attendant. So, I pressed the "Speak with attendant" button at the bottom right. I continued to wait. The cashier in front of me turned around to look at me (I later found out that her name was Noralee and that she was the manager?!). She then turned back around and returned to what she was doing. She was waiting on something, so she left her station and tended to some business behind the front counter (I assume it was the manager's area). While she was there tended to whatever she needed to, she continued to look my way and make eye contact with me, and again, she continued to ignore me. This whole time, I thought that it was supposed to be someone else that was assigned to man this area, so I continued to wait. I waited there about ten minutes and still no one came. It was only after other customers began to use the self check area and another patron needed assistance that she FINALLY came to this area to tend to the area. Of course, she again ignored me, the person that was there first and waiting for about ten minutes, and went to the other Caucasian fellow. Only after she helped him, did she turn my way and literally snapped at me asking "What do you need?!" I was quite taken back. I asked her why it took so long for someone to come to my attention as I had waited for ten minutes. She stated that she "didn't see me", which is a total lie because we made eye contact multiple times. Then she asked me rudely "What do you want?!" I pointed to the screen and told her that the screen told me that I needed an attendant. She saw that I was trying to purchase gift cards and said that "You can't do here. You have to go to a cashier!" Frankly, I don't even think that is true, because the software seems pretty sophisticated and specific for something that couldn't be done. Regardless, I find this whole situation quite troubling.

First, she was not apologetic at all. If I told that I had been waiting for 10 minutes she should have apologized for the inconvenience and tried to make it better, regardless of whether she saw me or not. That's just basic customer service. But no, she was rude which further suggests to me that her mistreatment was intentional. Also, beside her lack of contrition, she made no effort to remedy the situation. If she really believed the cards couldn't be purchased at the shelf check, she should have offered to help me as soon as she was free to help. Instead, she basically told me to go wait in the cashier's line and that they were the only ones who could help. Further, as soon as the other (white) fella needed help, she jumped to help him rather immediately. How was she so alert to his need for help? My suspicion is that there has to be some alerting system in place those in self check that need an attendant. Further, if she didn't know I needed help, why did she come my way after helping him? None of this makes any sense. Her lie is not believable even in the context that she suggests.

My concern is multifaceted. First and foremost, she is a manager?! She is supposed to teach and train other employees? How is she able to do that with what she just demonstrated? Is this really the type of employees that Ralph's wants representing them? There are only two logical explanations for her behavior. 1) What she states is true, and she is just that imcompetent that she didn't notice a customer standing there in need of help, ignoring the alerting system that was in place, and providing the atrocious customer service that she did. OR... 2) She is racist. She saw an Asian man in need of help, and she refused to help him, forcing him to wait, only coming to the area to help a white man. Neither explanation is acceptable.

Which explanation you choose to believe, I certainly hope that your store is able to clean this up and purge this sort of unacceptable conduct. However, in the meantime, I will be going to Albertson's the other way down Goldenwest. I plan on sharing my experience with Noralee to all of my neighbors in the Peninsula and adjacent neighborhoods, all of the students I teach in the area, everyone that will listen at my church down the street, and most of all to every patient that I see at the hospital and clinic. Noralee not just wasted my time but her blatant disrespect has cost your store it's reputation.

Noralee and frankly Ralph's should have done better, MUCH better!

Hello
I have been a regular shopper at yyour Marina Pacifica store for over 10 years
I witnessed the sanitation process you did at the beginning of the the pandemic and it was adequate now the sanitation is non existent
No wiping of carts no hourly cleaning of checker stations hand sanitizer is always empty
It seems like Ralfs chooses not to recognize COVID-19 as a problem
I frequent 4 other grocery stores in the area and they all are focused on sanitation but not "Ralfs" I'm guessing you don't want to spend the money to help to keep your customers safe
I have chosen to shop at Pavillions even though it's another 10 minutes down PCH

I look forward to your response
Thank You
Pete Hunt

I keep having problems with your store delivery program. I ordered 36 items but only $6.35 appear.
Does Ralphs have a limit on the number of items for delivery? This has happened 3 time I called the store but no one ever answers Sunday 1 pm Monterey Park South Atlantic Blvd.???

Once again NBC is promoting and asking for donations for the food program for people who are under privileged. Once again NOT ONE checker asked if we wanted to donate so consequently I didn't because I wasn't reminded l. If you were really interested in assisting the less fortunate you would make a much bigger effort to ask your customers especially in affluent areas if they want to donate. I'm very disappointed with how Ralph's is handling this.

Come on Ralph's get your act together. Every store is wiping down carts and baskets. Even your offering of wipes is terrible. The dispenser of wipes was empty today and no one was jumping up to fill the dispenser. The store itself smells and is dirty. There used to be a really good old timer store manager running this store but I don't see him around anymore. The downstairs parking lot should be condemned. There is liquid leaking from the ceiling from all over the ceiling causing puddles. The parking lot is dirty and needs to be cleaned out and attended to. This store has generally gone way down in appearance and quality. They have one mentally challenged gentlemen who is in charge of bringing in all the shopping carts. He's been with the store a long time. He's handling all those nasty carts and not wearing gloves. Why not? I noticed the cheese, deli aisle today. It looked like a tornado went off there. Big gaps where items were sold out and piled up empty boxes some of which were spilled on the floor. Of course, I couldn't find two different cheeses I was looking for. I did finally find the female store manager. I wanted to bring this to her attention. Do you know what she said to me? She said she was on her break. How about that? Yeah, someone needs to get into your Santa Barbara store and get this store cleaned up in lots of different ways.

Regarding the pricing at your store in Placentia on Rose Drive. I shop at this store all the time, and in general like it fine. However, in recents weeks the shelf prices frequently do not match the product price. In particular, I have noticed particularly the refrigerated service deli pricing. Routinely they are out of product, ex pizzas and fill the shelf with home chef products without changing the price. Yesterday was the final straw... shelf wS fully stocked with home chef items at approx 17..99 on the pkg... shelf price said 3.99... other items pkg price 8.99 , shelf 7.99 . As people are busy Nd this is technically a grab and go case, it is easy to grab a bunch of things only looking at the shelf tag... isn't this called pricing integrity? I brought it to the store mgrs attention and he was nice and told me he was usually too busy to check. Makes me wonder what else is mismarked in the store? Thank you... Deborah Murphy

i am very appalled ...1st off i'm at the local store & the security guard says i've got to wipe my own cart, he's standing in the entry! i sho many stores i.e. stater bros, vons, walMart they all have workers to sanitize the carts, baskets. 2nd when i went on website for corp. ralphs on artesia blvd the 'chat gal' says i'll transfer you to a agent. SO YOU HAVE THE NERVE TO CHARGE $1.00 TO LEAVE A QUESTION & GET AN ANSWER? is this the ralphs that's been around since 1903 "ralphs grocery company" in los angeles?

I live in Anaheim CA near, Ball Ave Cypress, and Brookhurst & Ball stores. Would you please stock, in your freezer, Hormel's, Mary Kitchens corned beef and turkey hashes. I bet they would be a great seller for you. They are really good and convenient for a quick nutritious breakfast.
Thank you for your consideration.

I will no longer shop at your store on carmel mt. It was the worst experience I've had at this store.I have been shopping there since it opened and today was it. Had a problem with a none masker who was following me and cussing at me . I WENT TO THE FRONT DESK and the girl there didn't even look at me because she was looking at her phone and all she said yah yah I hear you and waved me away. This women followed me around even to the check out line harassing me when the manager came up all he did was talk to her and who wouldn't shut up. And dismissed me completely. Yes I was yelling back and told her to just shut the fk up. And went about my business. To have been fending off a Q follwer and being treated like this is enough for me. You may feel losing 1 customers isn't much but I will share my experience with my family and friends. Glad I have alot more places I can choose to shop.
