I'm a pool guy and I have called them repeatedly for warranty info and or service. Was on hold 3 times in two days for over 30 mins. Nothing. Then on 4 th time did the call back deal. Didn't even hear the phone ring and then they left a message to call them back. Done. Do not purchase their products. Especially heat pump. Junk. I'm embarrassed.

Don't buy a damn thing with their name on it. Got hot water heater from homedepot. They sell their product but no customer service number. Call number on heater and get transferred from number to number. Have to buy new one after one and a half years

As I have to reignite my rheem gas water heater I wait for the red light to turn off so I reignite I look for another consumer site to write my complaints. Purchase a water heater with in 5 years, completed replaced once from company and on my second. Within 2 years 9 blinks and the water Heater starts to fail. Call customer service waited for 45 minutes and they sent me a head unit and a sensor to be replace. Hire someone to replace it so it is done correctly. 3 weeks later same problem, called customer service they didn't document sending me a head unit last time so they want to try the same thing again. How many faulty do they produce when the replacement parts are bad. Go to another brand don't bother with home depot.

Biggest piece of junk. My current unit is the second Rheem hvac I've had. The first roof unit lasted about 28 years but it broke down every year and needed repairs,which cost a fortune. I also had the unit serviced once a year.More money down the drain.My current Rheem which replaced the first unit has heating issues since the first time it was turned on.When the heat cycle is on for a while, the blower just blows cool air, causing a chill, then starts blowing heated air again. The original installers cant find a problem. Now its out of the 3 year warranty for labor, so I will be stuck with labor charges but parts warranty is for 10 years. DON'T BUY RHEEM!!!!

I called for service. My water heater stopped lighting and had a small explosion. I was put on hold for 45 minutes then the phone disconnected. The second time I called and was on hold for an hour and someone answered the phone. The phone was on speaker and I could heard babies crying (at least 2) and a man playing with a small child. I said "hello" several times and then after about five minutes they hung up the phone. This is worse than poor service. This is an insult. This company needs to be put out of business! We should not allow such companies to exist. WARNING do not buy product manufactured by this company. Since my call, I learned from a service man that this company's water heaters are know to BLOW UP! Be very careful!!

You would think that a national brand like Rheem would have a warranty dept that answers the phone. Guess what, they have it set up to loop or busy out!! WTH?

All I can say is that I'll NEVER EVER buy another Rheem product. I'll boil my water to get hot water before buying another RHEEM hot water heater.

We've been waiting about 6 months for the refund for the repairs on a brand new just off the shelf waterheater. We ended up taking it back and buying another brand to get out this nightmare.
I not recommend their products and they owe us money!

I purchased a hot water tank from J&A plumbing (412-835-1010) in December 2020. After only 7 months it is down and needs a gas control valve. They told me they cannot fix it now due to a lack of parts. They say getting parts from your company is difficult. Why did I pay extra for your product AND and extended warranty if I cannot get service when I need it? I will avoid RHEEM in the future if this is not fixed ASAP. We will schedule appt with local TV complaint board next monday.

Ordered maintenance parts for water heater, small parts came in long box except the long anode rod needing the longer box. No other delivery, after a couple days I call to check on whether missing part or delay. I'm told it will be another 7-10 days for 'processing' before shipped. No notice of delay when ordering to choose purchasing otherwise at Home Depot or Lowe's, nor in email stating order was shipped. I state that I'm not happy of such delay without notice and phone rep hangs up. I call back and get the same rep and hangs up again when realizing it was me calling back. I try a different phone option to get a supervisor and was told it was the wrong department. I eventually just cancelled the remaining item order via chat online in telling me of the same delay but blaming it on 'seasonal demand' for water heater parts.

Will never recommend buying a Rheem hot water heater. Purchased one from Home Depot on Saturday morning. Installed by noon but discovered it was leaking from the top heating element. Rheem says we have to wait until a certified plumber checks the heater to see if it can be fixed. Not really sure when that will happen as we await a call from Rheem. Thus far our elderly parents have been without hot water for three days--not sure how long or how much more money will need to be paid to get hot water for them. Service representative not courteous or compassionate. Too bad the Rheem company puts their representatives in this position.

We are a plumbing company here in Lancaster Pa. & have used Rheem products for a long time but that is going to change. Recently we have noticed that their water heaters have not been lasting near as long as they once did & with their huge price increases (two this year already) we will no longer be installing any Rheem products. Quality going down & prices going up is a great way to lose business.

I would probably never purchase a rheem system on purpose every again. Our hot water went out 3 years ago. It lasted 13 years before having to be replaced. We replaced it with a Rheem about 3 years ago. It went out in the beginning of December and all they do is send part after part. That's if you can reach customer service. We have been having to boil water to take baths. The pot handle broke and I now have 2nd degree burns on my legs and feet. Their warranty it BS, they are no help, and now I'm out of work for awhile because of it

I purchased a hot water heater for my repairman to install and he did. The next day I found it leaking from the top of the unit. It was a defect. My repairman came took it out and returned it to the store and got a new one and installed it. I had to pay repairman to get it installed for a second time! I called rheems but that was not their problem it seems. All I want is compensation for the cost of the second reinstallment. Doesn't rheems to satisfy their customers?

Less than a year old my new Rheem water heater just required a licensed service company to come out and install parts Rheem sent me and the water heater still faulty. Its defective and I'm out $500 plus for the water heater plus over $900 in labor fees for installing the parts sent directly from Rheem. I will never again use Rheem or their products. They sell lemons and your screwed. No email address to file a complaint and hours on the phone waiting for customer service and shipping dept. Save yourself aggravation and lots of money. Stay away from Rheem products. Not what they used to be. BUYER BRWARE

same freaky bad situation I should say worst chaotic process trying to fix a 1 year old rheem gas water heater since December 28/20 until today 01/07 and counting I feel the same way as hockeyhal03 01/04 previous post it sucks!!!?
I guess I like the beating my boiler and my central AC unit are also rheem guess it's time to change to another brand.

Rheem sucks I have had two companies sent to my house by Rheem to fix my few month old hybrid hot water heater. The first company only changed the part sent by Rheem and didn't do any diagnostics like the repair order said to do. I do t think they were capable. So they sent a second company out that Rheem sent out and he waited on hold for Rheem tech suppprt to answer for over 45 minutes. He said he couldn't wait any longer and left. So again took two days off work and still a broken water heater and no service l. I have now been on the phone on hold for 1-1/2 hrs with still no answer. What is Rheem going to do about this. I want the unit replaced sent to my home and schedule a tech to install.

It sad and unfortunate that this huge company takes advantage of its customers. Rheem's customer service is deplorable. Your warranty is non-existent. Rheem knows that their products are faulty and defective that's why you offer such a short term warranty on the labor. That way after the year the customer eats all expenses for the piece of trash that RHEEN sells. I've only had my unit for two years and I already have to replace the faulty blower. My initial call to the company I was told I was covered under warranty for six years. After the technician came out and told me that I have to replace a faulty blower ?on a two year old unit I was then told by Rheem that my warranty only covers parts and the unit. Really RHEEM!!!???

I need help I purchased a rheem hot water heater on Oct.21 2020 from home depot in Jackson, MS. on Nov. 22, 2020 the hot water stop heating water I had a neighbor to come out to relite the heater it went back out the neighbor came lite the tank again it went out again he suggested that I call scott petroleum gas company in Lexington they could not come out until Wed. Nov.25, 2020 I was told the thermo- cuplet was gone out. I've been calling the 1-866)279-4566 since the 25th of Nov. and have not received the part yet I've been out of hot water for 2 week I will be reporting this to the better business bureau. Every time I call the customers service agent in parts say the part be shipped out. Somebody is lying and I don't have any hot water.

Rheem, when are you going to catch up with the rest of the world, and have digital sensors in your Cro-Magnon equipment ??? When???!!! How long do you morons have to sit on your haunches and not install digital, WiFi or internet accessible diagnostic tools to allow a technician diagnose problems and be able to order parts?

Because of their work order policy, my elderly mother went without hot water for 7 days and nights.firning this pandemic? Instead of just replacing the new hot water heater, with a working unit, as their plumber suggested they insisted on shipping a part that took two days.which did not solve the problem. My Mom gets a phone call from Rheem telling her they are going to give her a new hot water heater, excuse me, like they were doing her a favor, when what Rheem did was waste 7 days and 180 gallons of water, to supply her with a product she thought should work the day it was installed. Rheem showed no concern for these human beings health. Leaving anyone without hot water for that long us wrong.

Purchase a Rheem Professional hot water heater in hopes of taking a warm shower. After installation igniter failed to work. Contacted customer support for assistance and tech support after several failed attempts the tech support person informed me he would send a tech of course I waited and returned a call to customer support who then informed me that I would not see the tech until Monday along with a new part. Monday rolls around and no tech or part. I contacted the support team and was informed the part had not been shipped due to the weekend. Therefore, I should have the part no later than Tuesday. No that Tuesday has passed I am hotter than hell, and no one has contacted me on the status. This is totally unsatisfactory. When you purchase a new product it is expected to work as designed. I will return this product to home depot tomorrow so you can deal with problem.
