I Was At Chula Vista Ross Today And I Was Asked To Come Forward To Register Before Their Other Customer At Register Moved Away I Told Her That Ill Wait Till The Other Customer Get Her Things And Immediately She Said Again You Can Come Now I Said Ill Wait Then Another Woman There I Believe A Manager Told Me You Can Start Walking Forward I Told Her I Can But I Dont Wish To Till The Customer Infront Of Me Leaves .i Reminded Her That She Was Not Giving A Very Good Customer Service And What About Keeping Safe Distance To What She Responded This Is In Our Policy And Seems To Me This Is Your First Time Here..i Only Responded To Her This Is Not My First Time Here But Definitely Will Be My Last.and To Push Me Out Of The Store She Kept Saying Have A Good Day ..have A Good Day..i Thought To My Self I Was Having A Good Till I Came To This Store.horrible Customer Service.i Know They Treat You Like That Because Their Bosses Tell Them To Do So.why Should Anybody Go A Spend Your Money In A Place Where They Dont Care For You At All They Treat You As If You're A Beggar, Disrespectful And They Want You To Pick Up You Bags From Lower Counter To Cut Receipt Yourself To Take Clothes Off Hooks Dont Even Let You Take Carts Outside Store You Have To Carry Your Stuff Yourself.seriously Nobody Should Shop In A Store Like Ross.at Least Here In Several Stores In San Diego Is A Shame Of A Store.

Ross rips off their customers on their returns. They need to come up with a better system. So disappointed.

First of all I hv worked retail for over 30 years and I am a frequent customer of Ross Department store. My complaint is that I lost my tag in the store and the sales person was looking on her register to locate the item in her system which she could not find. So i retracted my steps and didn't not find it. In the mean time I asked a sales associate can she help me locate a price/tag so I can check out. Well instead of say I can get someone to Assist you, well she informed me that she was to busy. I was so shocked at that answer because she was outlying out stock she was not on the register. I ask for the mgr and I told her what happen. Well she got me another item for the price but did not apologize for the inconvenience. I no that sales and theives are bad enough but when you hv a paying customer that needs sone type of assistance then you need to make an effect and assist the customer. Omg...that is terrible to represent any place of business, For the record it was the store on HanesMall blvd Winston Salem NC. I will say the sales lady that checked me out was pleasant but otherwise a terrible experience!

I had a disaster experience with this store#1953 located in 124 S brand boulevard Glendale Ca 91204 tonight!
After The cashier gave us the receipt we thought The total amount doesn't make any sense, we were checking the items in front of her but the cashier stopped us and told us you should go somewhere else and calculate by yourself !! While we found out she double charged us for one of the Item she was with the other customer so we waited till she finished with the customer, while we were waiting for her to be done with the customer she asked me the receipt , but the customer still was standing in front of the cashier and I didn't want to go to the cashier before the customer leave ! I told her I preferred the customer leave then I come to you and give you the receipt! in a very rude way she told me you are very weird! I said I'm not weird I just want to respect to the customer privacy and keep the distance and respect his turn , he's not done yet !! The customer left then I went towards her and gave her the receipt she checked out she found out she double charged us , she returned the money and just looking at our eyes in a very rude way she said you can leave my store now !
I told her we were smart to find out you double charge us and it's good when you make a mistake say sorry to the customer ! She answered me you shouldn't be rude to ask me to tell you Sorry!!!!! I told her OK !who is your manager? she said oIM THE MANAGER!!!!!! I said OK ,what's your name(because she didn't have any badge on her clothes) she told me I'm not gonna tell my name! you don't need to know my name and you can not do anything!My husband walk-through to the store and asked the other employees to know what's the name of the manager . One of those told us I don't know and it was really clear that he was scaring of her ! The second employee told us her name is (((Stephanie )))!! When we were leaving the store I saw her she was talking to the security guy I told her , you are so rude ,you are so unprofessional, you made a mistake and double charged us but you are not dare to say sorry for your mistake ! And instead you arguing with us and try to pretend nothing happened! The security guy interrupt me and started to support her and he told us she is not responsible to talk to You!
tonight was a nightmare for us !I never come back to this branch till she's the manager of there ! she is not deserve to be a employee of Ross !she has to be trained for the basic customer service, for troubleshooting not for making a trouble!!!!
Stephanie ruined our night!!!!!

Tonight my wife and I went to the Ross located at branch # 1953, when we went to the cashier (Stephanie) to pay , then on the way out we found out she charged us twice for one item(double charge). We told her "You charged us twice" nicely but she ignored us and told us just give me your receipt in a very rude way!She didn't even said sorry for her mistake. And she told us you are so wired!!! Wnd you shouldn't be Rude!!!!!
Can you Imagine? She start to yelling and arguing with us, in front of customers so we asked for manager she said "I AM The MANAGER"
Unbelievable! We ask for her name she said I can not give my name to you, even I give my name to you can not do anything to me, (she was not wearing a badge )and she said you can leave my store now! Your money is back!
Good night.
MY STORE????? GOODNIGHT??? Can you imagine? How rude is she? As a manger she was really unprofessional, rude ,aggressive And disrespectful to us as a customer. We will never come back to this store !it was a horrible experience we ever had in Ross store!
she's not deserve to work in Ross in any position ,let alone being a manager!!She needs to be trained to know about basic customer service! Her customer service was below the zero.
Sorry for Ross to hire employee like her as a manager!!!!
A manager shouldn't be a troublemaker ,a manager should solve the problem for the customer nicely and make the customer satisfied with a good manner!

I bought purple slip-on slippers from Ross they are sweater in the front and fur across the top first day they left Purple Fuzz all over my house and have done so ever since not only that it got worse when they started to come unraveled so just giving you a heads up that these slippers are not professionally done and they are not in a designer quality they're not something that you want to buy and bring home

Bought a earbuds from Ross but when I got it, the right piece wasn't working well like the other piece. I wouldn't want to waste my money if they are just going to give me a broke earbuds

Ross has the WORST return policy. I find it extremely unfair that they are literally ripping off customers who pay for their items. How are you going to deny me an exchange when all of the tags are attached to a gift item? Mind you the clothing had various areas of discoloration on them which is why I did not use or want the set. The associate who did my return was so rude and did not even tell me my refund amount until after she already processed it. She seriously gave me $2.99 store credit for a gifted item when its regular price was $12.99. If the money is going to be used in the store, why aren't we granted the same amount? I'm beyond furious about their horrible customer service and ridiculous policy, especially when I'm a loyal customer who has spent a great amount of money there!!!

I tried to make a return at your Ross department store in Morgantown West Virginia on July 20, 2022 and the manager at the store told me I could not make the return without a gift receipt. I was very disappointed with this policy especially after I looked up the return policy and it says that I can return the item and I still have an item exactly like the one I have just a different color on the shelf. I really feel like the manager just did not want to take the time out she was very unfriendly. The item price was 1599 it was not an expensive item but me and my friends do a lot of gift shopping at your store and I do not plan on doing any more if there is a problem with returning something that somebody cannot use.

Visiting Ross on Atascosita and the cashier and the lady that was helping on fitting room were so rude and lack of customer service, Ross is well known for a good customer service but these employees makes customers no wanted to come back again

Well after reading the reviews I don't have the nerve to ask about an exchange on an item purchased over 60 days ago,it's a desk you hang on the wall and I was informed I can't do that here,so ,brand new desk,tags attached,never used,have receipt.I don't even want to ask them,I may get my head bit off ,makes me very sad to have to feel like that ,like I shouldn't even bother trying to exchange or something

Why would they have only 3 cashiers and still have doors open to have customers wait in line for 2 hours!!!!! I remember this place was fun! Now I dread it and come only if I really need something! I don't like the wait here at all! If I could have a number to a direct corporate so I could send evidence and hopefully they can fix this!

First of all...its quite amazing how when a store(&or restaurant) has an outstanding, upbeat, kind hearted FANTASTIC personality...then if that "upbeat mgr", of whom all customers&staff, happy after he/she got transferred the pgh mills location...numbers up, shrink way down, could run that store in his sleep (which I was a full time front end supervisor of whom trained new ppl, worked in loss prevention or the shipment areas of the store) so we mgt worked hand in hand. Even tho I was w step below mgt. I was hired I as being a mgr with my resume the way it was and all of my references. After a couple wks of seeing these present store mgr staff "tactfully hate their lives"...I got married a couple yrs later&,fortunately was told by my fabulous husband Dan "you dont have to work full time". It was such a breath of fresh air, bc the worst is being a newlywed or a seasoned spouse &"bringing your work home". Any relationship counselor will tell u that. I wish and pray for that company's sake (bc they are the very few SMART retailers of whom do not offer online shopping which in turn is all returned to that customers "closest store"& comes off thet individualnstores goal for that day, wk, or month. The fox chapel in pgh pa is also doing a GREAT job. Shes been there for years and that entire strip mall is INSANELY HARD TO KEEP AFLOAT. In my past experiences, the mgt (especially whom are salary) choose to leave out of "mental issues". Did anyone notice Ross's prices were getting hire than Macy's clearance items now? Its bc Macy's is SMART AND HAS A LICENSE TO DETAIN SHOPLIFTERS. Some retailers just "let them walk out". So why even put up tv video surveillance? TO WATCH ROSS EMPLOYEES THAT IS WHY. If that entire company took just one pg from Macy's handbook...they're prices wouldn't have went up, their mgt staff would be MUCH HAPPIER &they'd be able to pay more to their full time ppl and mgr than target pays their part time ppl. When I got my quote for what I was gonna get offered as a ft asst at a "TRILLION DOLLAR STORE", I honestly thought my district mgr was joking. U get what u pay for...was the very last two companies ( not one being rose obviously) the ONLY PPL WHO BELIEVE THIS??? THINK ABOUT IT PPL. THEN YOU COULD AFFORD A 90 DAY RETURN POLICY LIKE U HAD 2 YRS AGO. If u guys keep "fixing what was good...nobody is gonna shop your store anymore. Tj max&Marshall's will be around. And it's in a more lively area too. It's not rocket science.

I got a gift a shoulder purse but I can't use it because of my shoulder problems and pain. So, I wanted to exchange but cashier didn't let me. Obviously it doesn't have price tag but some other tag.
I was little surprised. Please let me know what can I do to get exchange or get store credits. Thank you.

I bought a stuff in Ross at Memorial Tulsa, I was going to return the item at Ross 41st&Yale Tulsa on 12/29/2021 around 7 pm and I have the receipt, tag still on the item, never use the item and that's less than 30 days. But cashier denied me and said that I have to bring the item to the store I bought it (Memorial Tulsa store). I was argue with cashier and I asked her if that's new rule, she said that is not new rule. It's ridiculous because I didn't see on the back of receipt that can't return to other store. Cashier needs to learn more about return policy of Ross.

I've returned with a receipt tags on within 24 hrs of the 30 days. I was told that counts as 30days she wanted to give me CHANGE for the DOLLARS $20 more then the amount she wanted to give EVEN THO I HAD COVID AND IMPOSSIBLE TO BE THERE ANY SOONER AND I STILL HAD TILL THE NEXT CALENDAR DAY BUT WITHIN 24 hrs until 30 days was up. IM SO DISGUSTED with how they WAD your clothes when you buy them like their garbage anyhow when wading them and cramming into the bag when you purchase to they only think you're stealing and don't care a damn thing once they have gotten your money!

My husband and I bought our son shoes at Ross 2 weeks ago and sole is already coming off. The quality of shoes Ross caries is pitiful. I went to customer service and said we want to return these shoes and get them replaced. I was asked if the shoes were worn outside. I told her yes. The employee said we do not take shoes back that have been worn outside. I asked her if they back up their product since we only bought the shoes 2 weeks ago and they are already falling apart at the seam. She said again if they have been worn outside, they will not return them. What is the point of buying shoes and not wearing them? Do they expect shoes to never get worn? We spent $50 on the shoes and thought they were great quality because they were expensive for Ross. We are not going back to Ross. They have lost our families business. I have added pictures to show how poorly the shoes held up. I hope this post helps some other poor soul that gets ripped off because they bought shoes from Ross

I purchased a dress for my mom to wear to my son's wedding. She doesn't live close to me and I don't live close to Ross. It wasn't true to size so a week before the wedding she had nothing to wear. By the time I got it back, found the receipt and bag, it was over 30 days and they would not give me my money back. I will not be back to Ross again!

I bought some items from Ross maybe 30 days or so ago and a few of the things I bought didn't fit me so I went to return them to the store. I couldn't find the receipt. honestly I have so many it was just more of a hassle as I just wanted to exchange for something that fit but the woman working informed me that if I didn't have a receipt they would have to send me a check if it was over $50 which it was not so I didn't see a problem then she looked at me and said that without a receipt they would have to mark the price of everything down and would be refunding me the sale price so I was still okay thinking they would knock a couple dollars off of the original price but as she started ringing items for the refund price she informed me that I paid $20 dollars originally and she would be refunding me $.49 cents what in the world part of a return policy is that. I was honestly insulted. I tried to overlook the attitude she had from the start. I shop at ross often and spend way too much money to be insulted like this and will not be shopping here again! I'll take my business somewhere I feel welcome and appreciated as a customer thanks.
