Bought Creator 2012 for my wife after past successes with SOINC/Roxio products...What a mistake! 2012 is horrible software...won't burn correctly almost anything; won't properly even burn a MyDVD image to hard disk; won't read video files from my Canon camera correctly (plays audio too fast) without using a third party converter.

Customer service is a joke. The keep sending me the same e-mail lists of things to do and obviously don't read any of what the customer writes. For example, they keep telling me to defrag the hard drive even though it is defragged every night. Either they're idiots or just don't care...DON'T BUY ROXIO, I won't anymore!

Tried to install Roxio Creator 2010 Special Edition on Windows 7 (all updates installed). Ridiculous problems. Finally got it installed, but it doesn't run properly ... "Unable to locate skin"; runtime errors.

Then tried to submit online request to tech support for help. been trying to figure it out for 2 evenings. Absurd! website runs you around in circles! Tried setting up account for 2 different e-mail addresses, got error message that the site is temporarily unavailable. Tried again, but was told accounts already exist for both addresses. Hmmm ... thought the site was down. Tried to login, but never got to the point where I setup password. Tried to retrieve password ... site tells me I don't have account!

Went to Corel and actually setup an account for a 3rd address. This time seemed to work. Went back to Roxio site and tried to submit login. It wants a PIN that it says is in my Corel account. No such thing ... never assigned me one, never asked me to establish one. This is the WORST tech support site ever!

Tried to download Roxio and it would not download. After so many attempts it blocks you out. Tried to call support and they are not available. The numbers online are out of order. I am going to my bank Monday a.m. and getting my money refunded. I'm thrilled I used debit card and can get refunded immidately. Same issues with this company in 2009. I will not use Roxio again. Buyer beware. Read all the emails below and take heed. This is not a good company to use.

Have been trying to get technical support for Roxio and have been getting the run-around. Send e-mails and the dumb ass responds with the help info I've all ready read. Help instructions are convoluted and too technical for me. Tech info tells me things I do not know nor understand and can't use. They have lost a customer and I advise everyone not to buy Roxio. Reviewers praised the product. They had to be paid-off. All they want is your money and to hell with customer service. To me, this is the most garbage program. Put the word out: don't buy unless your have money to burn.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Once a new version is out they discontinue all support for older products although they are still for sale thru discount retail stores.

TRIED FOR THREE WEEKS AND NUMEROUS EMAILS TO GET SOME SUPPORT FROM ROXIO.ALL I GOT WAS A RUNAROUND.SUPPORT FINALLY WORE ME DOWN,WHICH IS THERE SERVICE AND THEY ARE GOOD AT IT.GAVE UP AND WROTE IT OFF AS A BAD BUY AND GAVE UP.THEY LOST ME AS A ROXIO CUSTOMER AND ALL MY FRIENDS THAT I TALKED TO.I READ ALL THE REVIEWS ON INTERNET OF "EASY VHS TO DVD"
I WISH I HAD READ THEM BEFORE I PURCHASED.

I have been a user of Toast for Macintosh since at least Toast 4 and have been pleased with the product until I purchased my latest computer (a MacBook Pro Quad Core laptop) and tried loading Toast 10. It loads fine but when I insert my serial number (cut and pasted directly from Roxio's website) nothing happens. The continue button stays dimmed. Only the general instructions from Roxio and when I asked about obtaining a replacement CD with a new serial number they essentially laughed at me when I could not provide a proof of purchase from about 2 years ago.

I have Easy VHS to DVD installed and have all afternoon to make it work - no signal - no bandwidth - no nothing!! I have worked with Roxio via for over a week - no solutions that have worked - in fact Microsoft helped to install it today but not working so what is the point.
Would I tell others of Roxio - yep - Avoid at all cost - easy it is not!

I purchased their VHS to DVD program also and nothing so far has worked to resolve the certificate file problem. I think the only answer is to cirumvent the internal setup of the program so it accepts without need of the CF. If they won't refund why should anyone honor the integrity of the products concept on reengineering it? ;) If you're stck with it - make the best of it by overcoming the obstacle.

I know why they call it Creator 2012 Special Edition..... don't expect it to work. Ran into problems burning my video and customer service gave me all kinds of solutions over a 2 week period to a point where it is even worse than before. They do not listen to your problem, they provide standard suggested fixes that are not relevant and after a while the suggested fixes repeat themselves. Useless!!

Software was faulty, and damaged 2 MACs that it was installed on costing hundreds of pounds in repairs. When I tried to get a refund on the software customer service was appalling, and kept on giving me the run around- have been trying for over a year of continuous communication to get our money back! There always seems to be a problem with their accounts department! Be warned... !

Bought CD copy of Roxy "Easy" VHS to DVD. Stupid definitely to do so. Easy is totally the wrong word. The CD doesn't work and even though I submitted photos of packaging and documentation with serial number etc. to Roxio they won't let me download the software from them directly so I can input the serial number and use it. The product is rubbish, the customer service is worse. Best to avoid this company completely.

I purchase a VCR to DVD converter program and hardware on December 16, 2011. They indicated items are shipped in three (3) business days. Today is December 28, 2011 and they have shipped nothing. No way of contacting to cancel and request my money back. The answers to email are automatic emails. It is a shame. I will report it to the Better Business Bureau.

I called and told them i wanted to return the roxio game capture and they told me they were going to send me back my money and once they did to destroy the merchandise instead of shipping it back. has anyone else been told this?

Roxio email support is absolutely terrible!!!! You describe a problem involving the current version on a brand new computer and they suggest re-formatting the hard drive. Over time they will suggest the same things over again which tells you that the technicians don't even bother to read what has already been suggested. Their suggestions suggest they are not even familiar with their own program or the English language.

I have been trying to get help fromRoxio for 6 months. I just get e- mails that are of no help at all.
There is a language barrier with their customer service. Is there an alternative . I just cannot spend hour on the phone with the receiving no help. Why can't every company compare to Apple or Amazon.

I PURCHASED VHS TO DVD SOMETIME AGO,BUT BECAUSE OF FAMILY HEALTH ISSUES NEVER INSTALLED OR USED IT. WHEN I TRIED TO INSTALL IT YESTERDAY, I NOTICED THAT THE PRINTING ON THE LABEL WITH THE CD KEY WAS SMUDGED (WAS THAT WAY IN THE BOX) & 3 OF THE CHARACTERS WERE ILLEGIBLE. I EMAILED ROXIO FOR HELP. THIS SOFTWARE WAS NEVER USED OR REGISTERED BEFORE ... IT SAT IN MY DRAWER. I EMAILED ROXIO AND GAVE THEM A COPY OF THE BOX, DVD, ENVELOPE/LABEL AND MY INVOICE SHOWING THAT I PURCHASED THE PRODUCT. THEY REFUSED TO HELP ME.

THIS IS THE WORST SUPPORT I HAVE EVER SEEN.BECAUSE I HAVE THE 2010 EDITION THEY SAY THEY HAVE NO SUPPORT FOR THAT--ONLY FOR THE 2012 EDITION.IN OTHER WORDS SPEND ANOTHER $100 AND WE WILL HELP YOU--OTHERWISE THE HELL WITH YOU.THIS SERVICE IS JUST GARBAGE

I purchased Roxio Creator 2010 in June 2010 and installed it on a Windows 7 system. For the past few months, it gives a "Roxio Creator stopped working" error when I click on its icon. Yesterday I uninstalled and reinstalled the product from DVD. I still have the same error when I try to run it. Roxio Customer Service said it is an unsupported product and all they can suggest is to upgrade to their latest version. I don't care how good the features of the program are; this kind of planned obsolescence is unacceptable.

great! I wish I had researched this prior to purchasing Roxio Creator 2012 for download. $100 and it won't download and after trying numerous times it now say's I am only allowed 3 downloads. I need to make a movie asap and now I am out $100. I hope I can get a refund but it sounds like that will also be difficult

I purchased Roxio Creator Pro 2012 via download. Started download Friday at 5 pm and it took till Sunday afternoon just to download on a brand new computer. I had problems and was told by email tech support to uninstall and start again. I did this 3 times! Finally got tech support live and he couldn't download either! Was told to ask for refund. Bet I don't get that either! What a rip off! Bad customer service and rude Facebook moderators! Scam scam scam

What a ripoff! The program would not install properly after an extremely long download period. Of course the website refers you around in circles, it is impossible to contact them to fix the problem or get a refund. They have wasted a lot of my time and stolen my money. Because they are outside my country it is hard to get redress. Never, never, never try to buy anything from this company!

I had roxio creator 9 and 10 on my machine. I constantly had problems with version 10 so I uninstalled it. Heres the problem the uninstall also took version 9 with it. Both could not be reinstalled and no customer support. I have no choice but to buy Nero for only $49.

UNBELIEVABLE! I wish I'd read this blog before I spent my money with Roxio. This is an example of really poor product and service. All they want is your money, and make it impossible to get help or a refund.
As far as I'm concerned, I would classify Roxio as a Terrorist Organization !
I never had a problem with the SONIC program that was installed on my Compaq laptop by HP. so I thought Sonic/Roxio was a reputable company... couldn't be farther from the truth. YES ! ROXIO SUCKS ! DON'T BUY ROXIO !
