I have been trying for over an hour to get in contact with the Skype people on a problem I am having with skype and I cannot. I sent an e-mail to the e-mail address you gave and it cam back as no such address. I am about fed up. I cant contact anyone on my skype. its conected to the internet all right my computer is working fine but skype is not working. all I get is my icon with blue coloring turning round and round and saying no connections. Please can you tell me how to get in touch with you this is just terrible service. Carmela Confesor this is no way to run something as important as skype is especially to elderly people who video call there loved ones.

I cannot contact skype. My money was taken from the account and few days later I am still unable to contact anybody and resolve this issue. It is totally unacceptable.

I want to close my account because of an amount taken from my credit card but not credited to my account for july and august.

I cancelled Skype account 2 months ago. I emailed you. I don't understand all the things that you ask to do. I sent customer service emails. I'm on a fixed income and need my money back. If uou see I haven'tused it

hey could improve their service if they actually bothered to read the content of the support requests, instead of constantly sending you cut & paste responses asking you to carry out insultingly basic steps that you'd already carried out before contacting them in the first place. They do this OVER AND OVER again, ad infinitum.

Truly the most infuriating, idiotic customer service I've ever received.

And all because Microsoft are too cheap to pay proper wages to tech support workers who might actually be able to do something other than cut & paste.

This is truly the worst customer service I have ever experienced! Customer is definitely not at the core of their service.
I have once visited Korea and used my usual Skype account from there. According to Skype, I'm now forever based in Korea and my account is linked to some weird Korean provider making it difficult for me to perform the simplest transaction. Skype's customer service, unhelpful and arrogant to say the least, was trying to convince me that I set up my account with their Korean partner. It didn't matter that my account was set up years ago before they even entered into the partnership. The individual I was speaking with, didn't even bother to check these details, instead I was requested to verify my address by sending them a bank statement/ bill (?!?!) Once document is received, the process on their end would take min 24-48 hours. Of course, she was deaf to me saying that I urgently need to purchase the service, I'm not based in Korea, I don't even speak Korean and I only holidayed there for 4 days! She also did not care explaining why Skype members are not being warned that using Skype from selected countries can link their accounts (against their permission) to some dodgy Skype substitutes.
This is my 2nd run in with Skype's shocking customer service in 4 weeks, both were equally ridiculous and frustrating. Skype used to be my favourite service, but it has hit rock bottom, time for a replacement.

Skype blocked my account for "security" reasons they claim - no further explanation. When requested it be released they ask you impossible questions to answer and they say no. Yet still send reminders I have credit that will be lost ifvi dontvuse it soon !!!! To raise a complaint you have to log into your account - GREAT ONE SKYPE.

Had an issue with the purchase of Skype credits. Customer Service was unknowledgable, obviously had a language barrier and twice sent me emails that supposedly had attachments that did not.
Today makes a MONTH trying to get this resolved. In that month, Skype Communications lied to the BBB and comitted to reimbursement and did not live up to it and the same novice that was assigned my case to begin with still has it. They have no escalation process so if you get a bad agent, your out of luck.
I would strongly advise against any product of theirs that requires exchange of money. If something goes wrong, they will do not a thing to help and hope you just lose interest.
Luckily, I gained this insight before I purchased 238 Skype for business licenses for my site as I wouldn't trust them to water a lettuce patch.

Skype seems to be run by a bunch of idiots who have no concept of customer service. My HK based Skype number was due for renewal but as my old credit card was cancelled, Skype couldn't debit it for the annual subscription fee. I tried for one whole week to work out how to effect payment to continue my subscription. Finally, after endless trial & error & receiving useless advise from Skype help desk, I worked out I had to go to Taiwan's Skype website & to pay in Taiwanese dollar for for HK based number. So when I tried to pay, I was asked to submit my ID to the Taiwanese authority. I am a Hk resident, registered my HK Skype number in HK & why should I prove my ID to the Taiwan govt? In any case, I gave in & submitted my HK IDs. But before I could pay with my new credit card, the website asked me for my Taiwan address before progressing further! I am not a Taiwan resident & how can I have a Taiwan address!? I understand companies may set up regional centres to look after business in different locations & countries. But it is only common sense the service has to be lcoalised and customised for each different location.

When in between advert loading skype will hang and cause my entire system to hang until it's loaded...Also when using a floating task bar skype will make that un-usable until the you have click those notifications..

I have been a Skype customer for several years. I am now trying to log in on another computer, but can not as you are refusing to accept my user name edith.lurvey or registered email. I do not want a new account, I should still have money in the old one. What can I do?

Pretty much the WORST customer service EVER! After dealing with incompetents chat customer service associates in order to solve a double charged they made on my card. They "escalate" my issue to second level whatever people. I receive an email, giving me directions to repair the double-charges, all the link they sent me does is to redirect me to the initial chat with the same incompetents I've spoke before. They blamed me, they blamed my bank, they blamed everyone else but themselves and won't refund my $30! I have to deal with my bank now and see if they can reverse this payment. Please do not get me wrong. I'm minority too, Latina from south America, but for crying out loud Corporate Skype should know that It doesn't really help when your customer service is located in India and they keep repeating they will help you every 10 seconds and they can't even understand what you are trying to inquire about. All I heard was: "I'm happy I can help you today" and in fact none of the 7 different operators I chatted with actually could provide me with ANY help. Shame on you Skype!!! I'm glad your days are really counted...Long live Facebook and Whatsapp!!!

What to say that hasn't been said already. I saw these reviews before contacting Skype regarding a payment problem. I've been using their service for 5 years. They were unwilling to correct my problem even though I updated my payment information upon their notice. They did -not- tell me that their was another problem with my billing details and how would I know about it until AFTER the fact? Seriously, how does one know if they aren't notified? No problem I thought, I'll contact them and they'll help me sort it out.

In 2010 I bought a recurring subscription for $29.50 all inclusive. Now the service is more popular than ever and bandwidth costs have only -decreased- overtime yet the same subscription is now $96 dollars a year less a 15% annual discount or $82 per year. That's $53 dollars more per year than what I was paying for the _exact_ same subscription.

So after the operator telling me I've "Come to the right place, I would be more than happy to help you on this." I walked away with nothing but a refusal to correct it saying there's nothing they can do.

Microsoft suck. Everybody with a got'damn clue knows it. Yet such a high profile company which the entire world supports refuses to do good by their own customers. Are you surprised? I wasn't. Especially after seeing these reviews.

my software was Ubuntu so it was hard to me to install skype then when i was having single call i can still have video chat but when i was having my a conference i can have a video chat an even in a single :( can someone help me? i try also to uninstall the skype but nothing happened or changed

My Skype account which I have had for nearly 10 years, has been hacked and taken over by someone. Skype have admitted that it has been taken over,but they are making me go through a verification process that involvess completing their online Verification Form. I can't answer a lot of the questions to their satisfaction, because most of the information that they want relates to when I last used the account, and I can't remember it. I have offered alternative evidence such as Passport, Birth Certificate etc. etc. but they won't accept that. Their position is absolutely untenable, and their system is inappropriate.

can log into account but trying to change my skype primary email. Skype then request a password which doesnt match my Microsoft account or any skype password i have ever used. Skype customer service via email dont understand the problem when stated as above and now seem to have given up?

SKYPE started out with so much potential and quickly deteriorated into a scummy lame and nefarious quagmiric den of scammers. They have siphoned money out of my accounts for years, and their service has deteriorated like their ethics. SKYPE could have been a revolutionary company, but instead it is just another lame organization run by buffoons.

I just tried to email the above Skype email address regarding closing my recently deceased father's account, and an auto-responder was emailed back: "Thanks for contacting Skype.This e-mail message cannot be delivered because the e-mail address is no longer valid. For support please click here." And 'here', takes me right back to their website which gets me NOwhere again! No way to get a hold of them and stop their monthly billing on his account (until we close his accounts). What a shoddy company!!!

Am frustrated with skype for taking money from my account unauthorized. This happened feb and now march. I was not successful in getting someone to talk to. I search and got an option to stop it but it still continues.

our Skype account credit card has run out. When I triedm to go on line I could not rremember my password. I went through the instructions (i.e , I sent my email). I was told I was sent an email with password info. I never received it. I went through this a number of times.

Communicating with Skype is next to impossible. They messed my account, I can't sign in and have tried to communicate with them in numerous occasions with no results. I've been trying to cancel my account for three months with no results. They just keep charging me for a service that they don't provide.

I am surprised Skype is running by Microsoft now!I mean, its service is so bad! It is just like a secret institution, which has no customer service information. When you call Microsoft directly, their representative also said they are not responsible for Skype issue. But if you ask them to give you a contact number that are taking care of Skype issue, they also do not have such number.I am surprised how Microsoft is so irresponsible to customers???
