Worst ever!
They took your money whatever they want, and there is no way you can take monet form them Auto charge
Took paypal account money more that agreement for international call
$4.99 regular price to Korea.
Chargeh $25, and paypal told i can get refund because auto charge is unlimited when you join skype.
Thay are liar and unreliable company.
Once stop subscription, no email, no phone, no response.
They do not care.

Customer Service review: WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE?? The Skype website did not allow me to enter into the page to request a cancel and refund! No phone number could easily be found and when my credit card company found one, it was not working. This site is not user friendly and especially for senior citizens like me. All I want is out of Skype. I want to cancel two accounts that have never been used and I want my $20 refund!! NEVER AGAIN will I do Skype or recommend it to anyone!! They say I have 15 days to recover my refund, how in the world can I do that! This makes me angry and very frustrated. They basically have no customer support.

Can anyone tell me why although I have purchase the one monthy free option for Unlimited World and this is confirmed on my Accounts page, when I try to make a call to moble or landline Skype tell me to purchase a subscription

They have blocked my credit (so I can't use the money that I have paid!!!) and they have recently sent me an email to warn me that they will disactivate my credit because of lack of activity.Impossible to get hold of Skype Customer Service.

Now I just want to close my account, but IT"S IMPOSSIBLE. I think that their behaviour is even illegal.

The poor customer service that they provide today, will be the cause that will make them disappear tomorrow. People will eventually switch to more customer oriented providers. Goodbye Skype

I have been given this Skype thing by some one that said they were from TalkTalk and my pc have lots wrong with it and she needed to fix it and that TalkTalk owed me a refund of £185.00 , Well like a fool I fell for it and was very upset when she brought my bank details up, to cut a long story short i now have stopped the £14.99 that has come out of my bank and I need Skype to know this ,I need to talk to them so can they contact me please

I've been going round in circles trying to get a Skype credit refund after my account was suspended last month. The only way you can get a refund, apparently, is to log in to your account, but the reason I want a refund is because I'm locked out of my account. Catch-22.

The reason my account was suspended, BTW, was because I mis-typed my password (once) while trying to log in and the only way it could be re-activated was by answering a multitude of questions, such as 'what was your email address when you first registered with Skype?', 'what was the number of the credit card you used when you first registered?' 'what month and year did you first register with Skype?'

I really don't know how they expect ordinary people to remember these sorts of details. I've been using Skype for about ten years now and have moved house four times and changed countries , bank accounts and computers during that time, and I don't keep a record of every online activity.

I'm quite okay with no longer using Skype and am happy to abandon the account rather than expend any more time on jumping through their impossible hoops, but that seems to mean that I also have to abandon my Skype credit, with doesn't seem fair.

I'm getting very sick of large tech companies that don't publish telephone numbers and seem to have no proper customer services/complaints departments. Skype isn't the only guilty party in this regard - Adobe's the same. They publish no information about their inner corporate workings - names of departments, names of heads of departments, etc - and NO PHONE NUMBERS. I believe they only publish the address of their corporate headquarters because they're obliged to by law.

These monolithic companies are disempowering us by hiding behind the anonymity of purely online 'support' services manned by people who have no decision-making powers and are driven by algorithms.

Skype has automatically renewed my account without authorisation which is totally unacceptable, particularly as if they checked my usage I have only used it once when I first registered and the service was so poor I never used it again. m Disgraceful service....a rip off. If Skype do not refund me on request I will take the matter further.

What is this new look (20 Jan 2015) to Skype on My laptop? Am I a businessman or a four year little girl? This update made me look around for alternatives and I must say I like the look of google. It is simply good. And I'm sure the four year olds would be just as happy with it. Yo Skype, You have the power to let us who use Skype choose the look we like! How about three looks - baby - teen - adult?

Skype customer service is harder to access than the Free Masons. I've been with Skype for some years and this is the first time I've needed help and it'll probably be the last because I have Skype credit that I can't use because I can't log onto my account and I'll be damned if I'll set up another account to waste more money.
My advice to anyone is to buy an international calling card, it'll work out the same amount in the long run.
I can't comment on Friendliness or Knowledge because I didn't get to speak to anybody FAQ you all at Sykpe

My Skype account was hacked. They admitted my account was hacked but made didn't refund the money that was purchased while the account was hacked.

I was never a big Skype user so when I attempted to reactivate my account it was impossible for me to provide information needed to reverify my account. Numbers from the credit card used? A list of 5 saved numbers? The date I opened by Skype account? Well, I have had two debit cards hacked I'm pretty sure one was the one I uased to charge Skype, I never had 5 numbers saved, and I have removed and reinstalled Skype so many times that I have no idea what install date they are referring to, its like Skype doesn't realize hard drive failure. In short, I guess if I want to use Skype again it will be time to make a fake gmail account just for Skype usage.

10 pounds was taken frommy account this morning but I never got the credit and the money was not sent back to my account and I have just bought another �£10 credit again this evening and it went through please look into it and make the necessary adjustment please thanks

I am being billed on a credit card for skype services. This is a 'notable' monthly charge. I have a son who I believe is 'approving'/requesting/making these unauthorized charges. I have tried without success to contact someone at skype to have skype STOP billing my credit card. Hey, how in the world do u contact skype, and actually talk (voice) or chat (online) with an authorized representative when u do not have a paid account with skype yourself? Wow, what a 'racket' this is. To have a service such as this and now enable people to make contact with the organization to resolve issues is truly a travesty. It represents the epitome of what matters in America: Money, nothing more!

Skype must be the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. It takes you ages to find how to get support and when you finally get to a chat line it simply will not connect. There is no phone number to call and I cant find how to email them direct. I pay for a monthly subscription which cost 12.99 per month for unlimited calls yet Skype are charging my credit card an additional fee of "29 Dec 2014 SKYPE COMMUNICATIO LUXEMBOURG LUX 39.64" and I can find anyone or anyway to stop them unless I cancel my credit card. It is absolutely pathetic how this company operates. The total lack of customer service must rank at the highest possible level for bad performance of any company in the world!!!! How they stay in business is beyond me.

Utterly atrocious. Put a block on my account, didn't inform me, meaning I was unable to make a very important call.

Could not verify my account even though I have access to it on my laptop, filled in all my card details, paypal details, previous calls, skype contacts and more.

They do not reply to your email with real responses. The live chat are unable to do ANYTHING. I have filled in the verification form TEN times and it's been going round in circles for three weeks now. They want me to change my password, to do that I need to get a password token by my email address. My email address doesn't work for them, so they need to verify me. They can't verify me so they (after me endlessly arguing in emails) say I can reset my password- but wait! This sounds familiar!

They also have NO capability to provide customer support to the blind/visually impaired, even though they have functions to support these customers in their software. It's disgusting.

I had tried the free month to see if this would be something advantageous to me. Only Starting Nov22 - Dec 20 I was able to skype once to the person I hoped to????? It was frustrating. I had applied for an account thinking maybe this would help, but all my friends say skype is free. I just received notice that I am now being charged starting Dec 20th BUT I can't even use it? Like to speak to someone personally. Sincerely, Andi H.

I put credit on my Skype account, and soon after Skype blocked me because I tried logging in from outside the U.S. I can't recover my account, because they don't have Customer Support, and I am unable to list the month+year I signed up with them, as well as 5 contacts (I have only 4).

I contacted Skype re fraud on my account: had to do it by email as couldn't find a telephone no to talk to anyone. Still waiting to be contacted by them so have had to cancel my bank card to address the issue: bitterly disappointed with their customer care and the hassle they have now caused me

Skype customer service is ny far te worst of any company ever!!!!

I don't have my username and no longer have access to my old email account as I now work for another college.

I can give any other piece if identifying info but they still will not help me. I've even offer to talk on the phone, I can verify social and I'm even emailing them from my new college account...the people at Skype are by FAR the dumbest on the planet.

Save yourself the trouble and time, Do Not Use this product.

Worst customer service I've every contacted. In the first "live chat," I asked how to avoid the global charge when the 30-day trial expired, and how to switch to United States plan. I was given erroneous information, and when I tried to switch plans, the website would not accept the change.



I cancelled the account after one month's global charge, but contacted Skype again to see if they could switch my account to a US plan. The customer service rep said she COULD NOT CHANGE PLANS BECAUSE OF THE DIFFERENT RATES!!



Skype's automatic charge is perilously close to the practice that got FreeCreditReport so much trouble.

TRRIBLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT
No way to speak to anyone for assistance.
I was trying to log on to my account of probably 5 to 10 years with my password>
Kept telling me to log on via Microsoft>
I kept trying to log on & change my SKYPE password not Skype.
I did that a few times & then was advised that my account was frozen for 24 hours.
I have an important video conference tomorrow early in the morning.
Just NO way to reach anyone for help.
No phone to call.
I cannot even log on to live support as my password does not work.
Navigating through their website is more difficult than any I ever encountered.
Absolutely make NO sense not to be able to log onto support without a password and no way to reach them by phone.
I hope that Skype pays attention to the negative blogs about them and takes some steps to correct some of these problems.
I have used Skype for many years but this is causing me to search out other providers.
