Dear Stihl,

I feel extremely let down by the company...
I have been in Landscaping for over 20 years of my life on & off.
The last time I ended my landscaping services was back in 2013.
I'm officially back in the game knocking out some serious clients for the last 4 months & we just keep gaining clients left & right because of the services & how we operate...
But I'm taking the time to contact you because I used to bleed orange from all of the Stihl equipment I used to own, & my last 4 Blowers were BR-600's. But like I said, I ended the Landscaping profession at the end of 2013, and have not used a blower like that since then.
I was so extremely excited when I got back into the game.
I heard about the BR 800 magnum ex and I was like Yeah!!!
I know exactly what I'm about to buy for the company...
I did just that... my red max was beginning to be a problem because of being so old I decided to go out and buy a brand new BR 800 magnum.
I thought it would've been a lot more powerful, but it wasn't what I expected... my red max that is pretty much on its way out. The door was still more powerful than the BR 800 magnum.
SMH!!!... I'm not sure exactly what I'm supposed to say about this, but it looks like I'm going to have to stick with the red max from here on out to actually move debris leaves and other things faster so we can turn over clients quicker...

Guess I'm truly bleeding Red Now...

Very poor service from stihl dealer and stihl Canada. Will never buy stihl product again!!
Bought a BGA 57 leaf blower and battery lasts 10-15 mins. Was told I had a 7 day guarantee to return. Unit was used for 20 mins max and they said it was not in returnable condition. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND SUPPORT!!! Please see pics below and beware of purchasing ant stihl products!!

Hello there, since last year I decided to chance my tools to your brand, one of my recent buy was a gas edge trimmer, with les than 10 hours of use in less Thant two months; the trimmer doesn't work as should be; doesn't start, so I decided to take to the dealer (bradmans in Norwalk ct) and after more than two week they fixed and said the problems was the spark plugs, and is not cover for the warranty; and they charge almost $60, I said why? Because the trimmer is almost new? I was disappointed with the way they handled my issue!!

Bought a Fsa 57 weed trimmer 0n 05 31 2023 Bump feed stopped working on July 10th
Took to Stihl dealer for warranty repair when I went to pick it up they told me clogged head with debris not covered under warranty they wanted $68 for repair
Told them to keep it not paying for repair for poor designed and engineering product what is to stop it from clogging again Goodbye Stihl

Just got an ms250... Thing is complete junk. Follow all the instructions to start the thing over past few days and was unable to get it to fire once.

Feels flimsy as all heck as well... Just low quality and absolutely useless piece of equipment.

Dealer btw could not start it not was he able to start another similar model ms270? After that comedy... Got money back.

Rb600 contractors grade pressure washerstopped pumping,under warranty until sep23. Wouldn't cover parts or labor 50 hrs. Said unit had frozen and it broke the cheap plastic valves in the pump. $1,300 AND ITS MADE WITH CHEAP PASTIC VALVES, AND THEY WOULDN'T EVEN COVER THEM! NEVER BUY Sthil it's crap their customer service is in India and they will not stand behind their products, nor Joe Signs Power Equipment in Owego NY.

Bought a stilh chainsaw last year. Went to use it this year and it wouldn't start, took it back to the dealer 3 weeks ago and they havent even looked at it. People who have bought this same type has said there is a problem with them. HS170 the crank seal goes and lose compression and won't start. Should be exchanged.

Brought MS251C and ran great for 2 weeks. After that it is hard to start and once you get it running it floods out. Took it to the dealer and said the carburator need adjustment. Got it homeand now won't start. Paid $68 and still don't run. It is a piece of junk. The dealer told me they are going to teach me how to start it. I have a Stihl that is 15 years old and starts great. Never buy a Stihl again and what CS, they never call back.

So bought a Stihl ms211, used the Stihl premix, saw became harder to start after 2 weeks, didnt think too much of it. Was finishing a job and was low on fuel added tru fuel 50:1 mix. Went out next day and would not start at all. Took it in for repair, repair guy (Ace Hardware) says he would not run 50:1, tags the saw as "no warranty" because unmixed fuel was used. What a scam and a lie to get out of warranty. Should have refused saw when demonstrater couldn't start it for about 30min.

Bought Stihl 250 chainsaw a year ago and cut one branch and emptied gas for the winter.
The dealer where I bought it had trouble starting it originally and I had truoble starting it as well. Took it into Stihl authorized repair shop and the charged $100 to tell me it might have been flooded
Called Stihl customer service and they said they are only the manufacturer and they didnt sell it to me and to go back to the dealer
Stuck in limbo. Will probably go back to Stihl dealer and tell him he can keep it
I feel it is money well spent in an education as to the quality of Stihl products and not to buy any products for them
I am retired and now can spend a lot more time getting the word out there to boycott any Stihl products
I should have purchased a Huskvarna!

So disappointed in my MS 391.
It has been a lemon since i got it. This is an expensive chain saw and easy use. No hard cutting. The chainsaw is very hard to start if at all. The Stihl dealer answer was to buy another model. Seriously thinking about changing brands.

I bought a still weed yesterday bought it home started it.and it made noise so I took it right back to store and they gave me number to call about it just got it 15 min to this noise didn't t touch.grass they didn't t do nothing at all to help me after I spent over 300 dollors I was better of getting one at Walmart. Think like I didn't t before u buy stuff.

Very unhappy with the Secor Equipment Stihl manager in Kerrville Texas. Initial experience when we purchased the FSA57 weed eater was good but turns out they sold us the wrong replacement spools. When I called to complain Ed the manager laughed at me. He thought it was funny. As I live 2 hours away round trip I failed to see the humor. Will not do business there again.

When problems with product no customer support for dealer or customer. Warranty is nonexistent. Tech service. Is a joke. Bought the 800 leaf blower in the fall never ran right right out of the box now it's March in the shop for the fourth time torn apart and still not fixed just keep getting run around from still

Chain saw was difficult to start within weeks of purchase. Brought to service provider and they were able to start it. Difficultly starting the chain saw continued and was sporadic. Start d chain saw and left unattended for a few seconds and never could start back up again. Chain saw 2 months old. Stihl would not give us a refund because warranty was voided when chain saw running unattended for 35 seconds. Worst warranty and help ever received by a company. Something was wrong with the chain saw from the first time it was started and the difficulty getting it to start. Less than 2 hours of use. Very poor company. Will never purchase from them again.

Sthil used to be good but the US forestry department stopped using or buying them and now with the strato charged engine redmax technology sthil is using and loggers walking away from sthill and now the junk trimmers and blowers with a two stroke with 4 stroke valves come on produce trash equipment and find your China parts makers now building good old sthil model'sits sad if chinese model chain saws just tune down there copy of your old modles why sthil will not do that prepare for bankruptcy as chinese chainsaws are better than the crap and have better warrenty also talk about company mismanagement leading to trash products sthil now has become

Sthi uses redmax a chinese company technology for its saws come on and exploding gas caps and a 2 stroke with valves quit making junk chainsaws and blowers and other crap products and what's with the oh we will only hand a 60 day warrenty come on sthil I guess its a chinese copy of one of your olderbut great chainsaws and boy did the chinese make a dark day for a company who screwed over it's buying public for the sake of greed

I bought a sthil whipper snipper last year in march 2022 I have taken it to stihl frankston on 4 occasions since purchase and have been told nothing wrong with it.but it starts alright but when you pick it up to run it it bogs down and won't start I gave it to them a week ago and have not heard anything this is showing service I was told by the centre it will cost me 99 dollars no this product is under 12 months ols

Stihl chainsaws are the bottom of the line, 3 days use for a $520 csinnsaw is reprehensible, I will never again buy a stihl product with the exception of a chsin for my other chainsaws

I just finished talking (Dec 13, about 2:45-3:00PM) with Stella from your Customer Service Dept. I was extremely satisfied with Stella's professionalism, knowledge and calming demeanor. She answered my questions on battery changing time requirements and typical amount of run time for a full charge. She is an outstanding representative of Stihl. Great job, Stella!

When my husband buys me a new gift it has always been STHIL. After a couple beers we came up with an acronym for STHIL, Shelly's Tools In Her Life. Well. I'm done with Stihl. I've had a weedeater Brand new. I used it 5 months and it sit in my garage until spring. Well it set 8 months lost compression come spring.I had it 13 months. 1 month out of warranty. I trashed it. I should've learned my lesson. But I ignored the weedeater.So I got a blower here it is fall leaf's up to my butt. Well my stihl blower will not start? Stihl is a overrated product. From weedeaters to blowers.Well my uncle passed away and left me a brand new $300.00 Stihl chainsaw. I have had nothing but problems starting their 2 cycle junk ! I'm serious. I've been using 2 cycle engines for over 40 yrs and Stihl products are the worst when it comes to starting. It took me a couple years before I realized that Stihl products are nothing but JUNK ! Don't buy !

I bought a 131 weedeater today that the salesman told me was the same as the FSA 250 r that I already own. By the way the 250 is a great trimmer that does everything extremely well, trimmer head or blade. Plenty of power, easy start, just a go to heavy duty trimmer that I have used for years, completely satisfied. The 131 is not a 250 as I was told. It's a medium duty trimmer that apparently stihl thought was a good idea to completely change how to start their line of trimmers. Dumbest ever. Stihl owers buy sthil for their reliability and durability. I have at least 10 sthil products from chainsaws to pole saws to trimmers. Extremely disappointed on the starting sequence on the 131. I have a 261 chainsaw that I love along with several sthil chainsaws. The flippy caps are the dumbest caps ever. Not only are they often subtended below other surrounding parts that causes stuff to fall into the gas or oil reservoirs, but it is near impossible to thread the cap back on. I have dumped more oil down my leg on that 261 then I care to think. Dumbest ever. Sthil needs to stick to what got it where it is. Strong reliable, useable products that run for years. Changeing things for the purpose of changing only alienates owners who have bought sthil for years. I now own several husquavarns that I am completely satisfied with, well built and consistent starting and run mechanisms. My opinion....keep it simple, consistent, powerful. People buy quality and simplicity.

Purchased a $600 commercial grade Stihl 500 series chain saw New from local dealer that would bog down when using. Several trips to dealer with same results. Sold it for $500 the same week for poor performance reasons. Lost a hundred bucks! Bought a Husky 372 chain saw with the $500 bucks and have not regretted it! Also purchased a New Stihl FS38 weed trimmer (Made in China) that will only idle or run wide open using twice the gas as my older Stihl FS46 trimmer I have had for 16 years that will run half throttle if needed. Customer service claims that the FS38 trimmer is designed to run that way due to EPA regulations! Returned to dealer for repair but still will not run half throttle. Gonna get rid of it also and even though still new have to sell as used and lose more money! The older pre EPA units are VERY REALIBLE! The new units are nothing but JUNK! Don't waste your money on new Stihl products!
