Itunes locked my account out for security reasons. I sent initial email through their service site on 9/5. Received confirmation email 9/5.
Didn't hear anything as of 9/8, sent a email to verify they were working, received email 9/9 saying it was "top priority".
Didn't hear anything til 9/12, sent another email indicating how displeased I was with lack of response, sent another one today on 9/15. Now they aren't even responding to email.
THIS IS THE WORST online support I've ever seen, I will be finding alternatives to Itunes asap.

I can be added to the list of unsatisfied customers. My credit card has had two charges made on it and now have a disabled Apple id. The customer support only replies with "we are aware and working on the issue."

I asked how long has this been known and was told almost a month now. How is the world can a $100 BILLION software company possibly have an issue for so long?!?!? I am guessing that with the recent rash of high profile companies having security breaches such as Blizzard, Arena.net (Guild Wars 2), and godaddy.com just to name a few Apple has been hacked and just isn't admitting that they have been breached too.

I now have an $800 paper weight as an ipad since I cannot download anything to it, sync anything. This list of apps wanting updates climbs everyday with little to no help from itunes support.

Itunes "customer support" is a joke. I was told they dont have a phone number to talk to Itunes because they communicate only through email. Well the "overseas Help" have been no help. The APple customer number told me they dont even have a way to communicate with Itunes. My apple id has been disabled for 2 weeks. I hate this company. I cant wait for my contract to be up so i can go back to droid.

still awaiting a resolution to a security issue that seems to have the entire "team" baffled. Seemingly hundred of e-mails and 2 complaints to FCC, etc. and still can't get it resolved and still can't access my two, new iPads.

I too had my credit card stolen from my itunes account about 6 months ago and used for itunes purchases, not using my itunes account, but some other. So, of course the card was cancelled.
Then about 3 weeks ago, I discovered that my itunes account is disabled. Took several days to find out from support, that it is due to a credit card chargeback and the story they give is that they are upgrading their security software and the account can't be enabled until then, but there is no ETA for when that will be.
So, my son's ipod won't update apps, can't "purchase" FREE apps, etc., even though I have a credit balance on my account. He is not happy.
I am on the verge of buying him an android tablet and will never buy any apple product again because of this.

i rented a movie. The movie did not download. I am trying to find a way to inform them about it so that my credit card is not charged but their customer service options are frustratingly inadequate.

I am not downloading a movie ever again on itunes. There are far more friendlier options out there.

I recently had fraudulent charges on my credit card from iTunes. I disputed the charges with my bank who charged them back to iTunes.

My iTunes account was disabled due to this without my knowledge. I found out the account had been disabled after purchasing an iPhone and trying to purchase apps for it.

The only way to contact iTunes support is by email. They claim a 48 hour turn around, but the first inquiry took 4 days. I was told that I just needed to provide my home address and they'd re-enable my account.

After providing that information, I am now being told they cannot enable my account for an indefinite amount of time. They are updating their security software and are unable to perform this task.

I've asked to speak with someone over the phone or to talk to a supervisor, neither of which are apparently available.

I'm returning my iPhone with this complete lack of customer service. Will probably scrap my iPod in the near future too. Absolutely the worst customer service experience I've ever had.

ITUNES and IN App Purchases - Children are the target!
For the same reason grocery stores put candy close to the floor to target children - children's games are loaded with pop ups that can charge your credit card at a push of a button. The one time I forgot to disable the account my four year old racked up a $50 charge in a short period of time. iTunes is unsympathetic. They threw out a bunch of legal jargon and said if I said it was fraudulent instead of a mistake they would have refunded the money. They said take it up with your credit card and hung up on me. All of this occurred after talking to 4 people whom 3 of which eventually told me they have no power. One lady said she was chatting with someone who could help. 1 hour later they were smug and uninterested in helping me.

Itunes customer service stinks I've been waiting 10 days now to buy music because for some reason Itunes doesn't recognize my laptop. It asks me to answer 2 security questions that I can't remember the answer to so I emailed customer service 3 times about this and they keep emailing me back with wrong answers. The first bimbo writes me back and tells me to just go to the security page and reset the security question and password and I'll be all set. Well apparently sh*t for brains doesn't realize that in order to reset your security question you have to answer the 2 previous security questions which is why I emailed them in the first place. Then some other rep emails me back 4 days later talking about how sunny and happy it is in NC and she hopes I'm having a great day and they're working on the problem. No b*tch I'm not happy cuz I've been waiting all this time to buy the music I want! Well guess what I'm going to give Amazon my money instead and next time I'll just download a damn torrent and Itunes can say goodbye to me!!!!

My experience of iTunes customer support is quite possibly the worst I have had with any company, in or out of the internet. There is no direct iTunes customer support phone number so one has to rely on email through the iTunes website. This is a convoluted and fruitless process. Firstly the list of problems offered may not cover the problem. A link offering 'other' problems is provided but when this is used messages return that the problem isn't listed. One has to use one of the listed problems in order to get a foot in the door. Then apart from an initial email, ostensibly from a person assuring that the problem is being seen to, days go by without any further contact. I have had to email and email and email but still wait some satisfactory feedback about the process of my problem. I feel that the company has adopted a process that involves stonewalling the customer. Since learning that they only give support for free in an initial 90 day period, I can only think that the lengthy time that it has taken to sort my own small problem is a way of drawing out the process in order to obtain more money from me once the 90 day period has expired - and the fee is much greater than the cost of the item at the heart of my dispute. I think that, in addition to assessing and improving the efficiency of their download service, iTunes needs to seriously reflect on its customer support process - make it more user friendly and accessible.

I cannot understand why you can't reach a person on a phone. I cannot understand why they can't have a feature which protects the consumer from accidentally buying the same item within a short period. Every other website I have ever used will protect the consumer from such a mistake. In all fairness, they actually did refund my purchase of an item I had mistaken bought twice, but they informed me that it was the exception to the rule. Since doing the right thing is an exception for them, I'll be limiting my dealings with them in the future to an absolute minimum.

Had a billing problem and it was such a pain. The rep didn't read my actual question, kept asking for information I repeatedly said I didn't have, responded with cut-and-paste text that didn't address my question, told me I needed a subpoena for iTunes to tell me why they were billing my credit card, and suspended my account without asking but said all I had to do was ask and he would un-suspend it. Which he did. What a disaster! I'm going to buy from Amazon and import music into iTunes.

Worst customer experience of my life dealing with Erin the apparent "Senior Advisor" for the iTunes Store Customer Support. Absolutely like talking to a brick wall, very frustrating and unreasonable. Faceless money grabbing corporation at it's best!

Apple's products are great,but considering
their price why don't they have some good customer service also? It's the WORST I've EVER seen. Surely they could afford to pay someone to take calls or answer emails!
I entered a gift card number yesterday which did not show up as a credit on my
account. I then tried to register a ipod shuffle purchased a few months prior and was told it was invalid. All "support" links are just tutorials, most of which aren't helpful and none that dealt with the above issues.

An extremely slow process of review which Apple enforces is very difficult to put up with. While they charge the amount immediately, they take enormously high time to review and as a result we face customer dissatisfaction.

There should be away to talk directly to customer service about a problem with their account. The expresslane will not work for me and people get tired of talking to computers. I paid for this Iphine and I can't resolve my issue for a week now. I'm trying to update my account and it keep telling me my security code isn't correct.I need to know what the $7.23 itunes is trying to charge me for.If I can't download any free downloads. Help

we had to wait 9 years in Hongkong to be able to download music and movies at the itune store, finally the itune store is available in HongKong.
As loyal customer we used during the 9 years the itune store from a different country to be able to use our iphone and ipad to the full extent.
So now we have to accounts at the itune store and apple is not willing to merge these 2 accounts together,is that the way to treat loyal customers????

Not happy with the lack of iTunes support. I held for 20 minutes to be told that there is no support unless I pay $30.00.

My issue is that I am having problems with Itunes, not my 3 iPads, 1 iPod and 1 Iphone 4S. The issue is iTunes and why should I hold for 20 minutes, pay them $30 dollars, so I can ultimately buy things, ( movies, songs) from Apple. Should Apple be eager to fix my issue so I could buy?

The Apples devices are a vehicle to purchase products from Apple, so why make it so difficult for me to get help with iTunes.

I purchases Apple devices because they are easy and intuitive. I stop buying Apple products when Apple makes its difficult and acts arrongant about my needs verses theirs. Their lack of help creates a situation when cusomers are dying for something new so they do not have to deal with Apples lack of support.

I have been trying for 3 weeks now to reset my apple password that keeps saying it has been disabled, I contacted apple they told me to contact itunes for support, I did that they asked me a series of questions and still could not help I gave them all my information they kept telling me to go to the reset password page that page keep telling me an email that out of three weeks I still have recieved has been sent, so I tried the security question it even told me my answer was wrong, how could that be when I created that particular question because I knew the answer. when they come up with things such as this they also need to come up with other ways for customers to reset their passwords and apple ID in case these don't work like thay have not worked for me. I can understand an appreciate the fact apple has security to help its customers stay safe but it dose no good if the customer is the one suffering from the security. speaking for myself I am about to trade in apple and get with someone more reliable.

Called the number.....and got through to someone finally. They also gave me the runaround that itunes is Web based and to contact them through email. I was very insistent and finally they put me through to the right department to get a refund for an app that I did not buy.

Call AND do not give up!

iTunes does NOT have a phone number. If you call the apple support line, you get tech support. They have no access to account/billing information. Also, Apple isn't stealing your money. Hackers will always find a way to game the system and access credit card numbers online. I contacted iTunes the right way (via email through their website) and they responded within the hour and solved my problem. Stop bothering those poor kids at Apple Care and just go straight to iTunes support if you need billing help.

I rant because I too tried to call the number and the automated system very clearly tells you how to contact iTunes.

Thank you for this number. Saw two purchases on my credit card for Itunes for $40 each that were not mine and not on my Itune purchases. Fortunately I was checking online and they were made only 3 days prior. No other fraudulent charges.

Called the itunes number listed on my CC sheet and was told answered by email. Hey this is my CC do I need to cancel or did Itunes make a billing error as I had purchased a song that day. Did not want to wait. Long story short, when I called this number after a while got to security and someone had made a new Itunes account using my credit card. Had to cancel the cc and ask the cc company to refund the $80. Itunes would not refund the money but did close the other account and put a hold on the gift cards.

I worked for me too! I realized I had been charged over $300 in "in-app purchases" that there is no possible way I bought them. After searching everywhere for an iTunes customer service number, I stumbled across this page. It took a while to get the right person on the phone, but once I did, they took care of the problem. I'm so glad I found this web page!

I have had funds taken out of my credit card for downloads that did not go through, and then when I try to update FREE apps it tells me to contact iTunes support. iTunes support then tell me to start using gift cards to make purchases and updates! Why would I spend more money when I just want to do FREE updates!!! Talking to the support guy is like smashing my head against a brick wall
