NEVER USE AMERICAN STANDARD! American Standard started a bath tub shower conversion in May. A job that was said to take 1-2 days was finally "completed" in August sill has installation problems. The inconvenience alone ensures I will never recommend American Standard. I talked to Customer Service, talked to my sales person numerous times with promised call-backs, not returned. Many times I have called, left messages with no returned calls. At one point they even had parts delivered to my house Leaving me to bring parts in and installers have been in and out. Requests to have problems taken care of have been ignored with no attempt to resolve. NEVER USE AMERICAN STANDARD!

I thought American Standard was a reputable company. I was mistaken. It's late August, we've been working on replacing a bathtub with a walk-in shower since February. They actually began installation in May but with bungled communication and apparent lack of concern the shower frame still leaks water onto the bathroom floor. Customer service is very unreliable. The problem was brought to their attention and after a two month wait a representative finally showed up but the problem persists. Beware of American Standard!

I have a 2019 American standard 1 and 1/2 ton air conditioner and already the compressors going out and I lost my receipt to the people that installed it and now my warranties void and I am very upset that it's not under warranty because the people that installed it said that they'd fill out the warranty card and never did therefore I have an air conditioner I paid for through American standard and my warranty is no good why

I purchased a new American Standard AC in Sept 2021, over $10,000. Within 6 months (over winter), the compressor broke. To replace the compressor means replacing the freon. While they are paying to replace the compressor they will not pay for the full replacement cost of the freon. Now we are out $1800 for a unit that is less than 1 year old. Customer service just quotes the official warrantly. Doesn't seem right.

I purchased a new American Standard AC 6 years ago. A few days ago we noticed the unit wasn't cooling properly and so I had a tech out to diagnosis the problem. The coil is leaking and will need to be replaced. Now we will be pu t over $1150.00 to have it repaired. Incredible since I spent over $10,000.00 6 years ago. I was told at the time I replaced my unit that American Standard was the top of the line. Not impressed. My husband and I are retired and he has cancer. I have arthritis in both knees. The expense of having this unit repaired is difficult on us. Surely American Standard can help us. At this writing it is 90 in our house.


So, the bottom line is that I wouldn't recommend your product.

I have called and complained to American standard over the past few months. I was complaining about the cap that covers one of the screws on the chairs and they said they would mail it to me then I hear from them again saying that is not their chair that it's from another manufacturer so they said they got in touch with that other company and they have sent out the cap well it's much later and I have not received it yet and now every time I call to speak to the same person that told me to speak to her will not take my calls! I am very surprised if they are still even in business. I would recommend if you're thinking of getting American standard product of any kind, buyer beware! I would go somewhere else to do it! I plan on calling them again today, one last time. If it was possible to rate them any lower than 1.... it would definitely be zero!!!

American Standard did not honor the quote/contract that it made with me. They came back asking for over $2,000 more. Proceed with caution when/if you enter a contract with them with them.

We ordered a shower kit. When we received it the base was broken. I called and another was sent. It was installed. But when the doors were installed they don't close and they leak. I have called multiple times and spoke with many people and still have a broken shower. I will recommend everyone I know to NOT buy American Standard

Bad customer service. No customer contact.
Was going to buy Koehler. Big mistake for not buying. Buyer beware. Been waiting weeks for a repair. Just found out there's only 1 repair man for my area. Mesa Az. That's sad. They are really cheap and don't care about the customer as long as they get your money. BEWARE!!!

The design of the toilet with the rim at the top of the bowl means that urine hits that rim and splashes under the seat, falls down the outside of the bowl and onto the floor. Atrocious!! The designer clearly either never used the toilet or was female and didn't seek input from a male. Worst toilet ever!!

Purchased an 80% single stage furnace to replace my 25 year old carrier single stage and the new A/S furnace came with a DC blower motor that screamed in high speed during cooling. Turned it down to the third lowest speed and it was ok. Then in heating the burners sounded like a flame thrower at least 5 times as loud as my old furnace. Installers wanted me to run it without the filter because of undersized return. Ended up replacing furnace with a two stage furnace but same thing happened very loud!!! I have a small ranch house and I wish that a never purchased this thing, everything was fine before!

Drain motor will not shut off. Tub has been drained, but motor has been running for almost 24 hours. The number provided for repair service rings until a recording comes on to say that the mailbox is full.

I rate less than 0 they tore out my old tub and tub drain but did not plug opening on old drain leaving it open rodents found there way in .they refuse to own there mistake. Leaving me to pay for there mistake .when I called they were very nasty and I will never do business with them again.this is no way to treat someone who spends 10.000 with you .shame on you american standard.

Worst Customer Service Ever!!!! Even Has Direct Tv Beat -- And They Really Suck! I Really Can't Speak To 'customer Service' Per Se, As I Spent 20 Mins On Hold --- Three Times -- And Finally Gave Up!!!! It's Really Unfortunate, Because Their Products Are Top Shelf....they Need A Better Way To Set Up Customer Service....perhaps Several Phone Numbers? More People?

This has got to be the worst customer service that I have EVER experienced. I have contacted American Standard on at least 3 occasions. I have had to wait on hold to talk to a representative for OVER AN HOUR each time. Each occasion, the representatives was not knowledgeable. The last time I spoke with American Standard, the representative raised a ticket number #1419588 and asked me to send pictures of the issue. 11 days later, I still have not received a response and I am on hold again.

Called American Standard 3 times yesterday to get basic assistance about parts needed to install a new shower/tub faucet (which diverters, which trim can work). Each time got a rep that seemed completely disinterested and lacking in knowledge. One of them said don't you have a Ferguson near you - just ask them! When I get 3 people with the same attitude, makes you wonder about the product. Their reps need better technical training AND customer service training. Ended up calling a local supplier and, yup, they answered my questions right away!

I'm just wondering if anyone else has a problem with their toilet handle on the newer American Standard toilet? It is so slim that my hand slides off before it flushes and the end of it is sharp so it hurts my hand! Ugh! Terrible design.

Called customer service for HVAC, with question about installation, said they would not be able to answer a question about improper install. I just had to trust my installer.?

American Standard customer service is HORRIBLE! No wonder I see their rating is so bad here. My saga is too long to write here but buyer beware! I would NEVER purchase another American Standard product ever again!

Brutal customer support have tried 3x to use there 1800 #.. Have over 3hrs tied up in it with no one pickin up the phone on there end! Screw these guys!!

Four years ago we replaced our 17 yr old Trane AC/Heating system with new American Standard equipment. It has been performing flawlessly and much more efficiently. However, a problem has developed which is going to be very expensive to fix. The evaporator coil has to be replaced due to rust and corrosion of the galvanized metal frame. The part is under warranty, but labor to replace is $1000. I was told that this coil is now totally aluminum, instead of copper and steel and should not rust or corrode. But, I am still stuck with $1000 bill, the very reason I replaced my old system to avoid. I hope I reach a sympathetic ear with this comment.

Yes I am installing a american standard ovation shower door in a american standard ovation shower surround it would be nice to have a illustration of the door in the surround your instructions don't help !
