I reserved a car in February at Glacier Park Airport for July, I had a confirmation email, but was not allowed to rent the car because I only had a debit card. There was nothing mentioned in the prior two emails about this policy. I was stranded and the manager Eric Martin was not empathetic or helpful. I don't want this to ruin anyone else's vacation. In the future please be sure to include important information policies in confirmation emails and show compassion for people by having a second way individuals can rent a car, especially if they are traveling by themselves and are in remote locations.

I bought a vehicle via AVIS CAR SALES two years ago. Great service! Great way to get a used vehicle in great condition. I decided to buy one recently and the service is terrible now. What happened? My wife and I were expecting the same level of service and now, after 6 months, we have a vehicle with an expired temporary license plate in my garage and we are paying for it. I call and they try to call back but nobody on the line. The last time I talked to somebody they said some papers got lost and I need it to signed them again. But the address (zip code) is wrong and I called them to see if they can change it and no action. No action whatsoever. This is not AVIS CUSTOMER SERVICE and definitely it is affecting us. I need help please!!!! I need somebody from corporate to ensure this is done soon so we can use the vehicle!!!! HELP!!!

I rented a car through Avis/Budget for 2 weeks in June in Punta Gorda Airport. I returned the car before the office was opened, locked the car, and put the key in the lock box. As as soon as I realized it, it was too late. My husband and I saw that I left my briefcase with a new Dell computer and multiple other items in my briefcase. I had to catch my flight and figured I'd call as soon as I got home. Since the first person to drive the car would be the people who will clean it before it goes out again. When I called, they "claim" no one saw it. Despite the fact my husband and I both looked in the back seat at it. I called the sheriff's department to report it. SOMEONE STOLE my briefcase with a new computer. As a school teacher, money does not grow on trees. It is an absolute disgrace that they will get away with this. I am totally discouraged by this lack of ethics and integrity.

I reserved a vehicle several weeks in advance and was notified 1 hour before pick up time that no vehicle is available. Called customer service and am being told that although vehicles are available at other locations, none can be offered to me for my trip because it is one way. I was also advised that I can go to a competitor and Avis will only honor the same base rate nothing more. Being that this would be same day reservation I am going to have to pay SIGNIFICANTLY MORE because AVIS DROPPED THE BALLL. I am now stranded with a child and NEED TO GET HOME. SITTING ON THE PHONE WAITING TO TALK TO A MANAGER WHO IS CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE. I have been an Avis customer for years now and CANNOT BELIEVE this level of negligence was allowed to occur. I did not even get 24hours notice so that I would have an opportunity to find a safe way home for my child and myself. IS THIS WHAT AVIS STANDS FOR AND HOW THEY CONDUCT BUSINESS? IM TOTALLY DONE!

I am IRATE, I call Avis today to ask a question about my rental for Memorial Day weekend, to find out it's cancelled!!! I DID NOT cancel my reservation and even got an email via Costco on May 24th for my final documents for pick up. Yet, customer service is saying I cancelled it April 24th, I have proof I did not. It sound like an inside job with someone canceling my reservation and I want answers!!! This was my way to take my kids and I to the beach for a pre-paid trip, now what am I to do?????

Reading all the Avis/Uber fraud charges have to wonder what kind of Republican trash runs this scam company. 22 phone calls, endless holds, transfers and we have gotten no where. I'm sure they have their scam call center in Mexico run by the cartels.

I don't know why this company keeps taking unauthorized payments from my checking account that they have once again over drawn I have never had a declined payment nor a call to say that any monies would be taken out my car there was absolutely no issues with the rental I just returned so I'm freaking baffled of why 3 payments totaling over $630 just randomly came out my account . I have been nothing but a loyal customer for these few months and I can't get any of your representatives to correctly and professionally help me I just spoke with customer service and this rep stated that he doesn't see any reason why the monies were taken and don't see the amounts asked that I forward my bank statement showing this activity and some would contact me within 24 hours with a resolution ! ( which I sent the requested info) so u guys understand the type of situation this puts a single parent in that stretching every dollar they already have ! Now once again it has happened for no apparent reason my checking account is over drawn I'm unable to pay anybody or even put food on my table for my kids . There has to be some immediate action taken now and I will proceed on my end and if someone that is going to assist me properly on your end does the same . That would be greatly appreciated . Today 1/25/21 fiance and I booked a week with a local Avis 104 E.Long St Columbus, OH for local travel as his car is being repaired. Upon arrival,front desk guy named Fuad told my fiance that he needed 2 forms of ID although he was using a major credit card. Ok cool tho thats not normal he did have to show 2nd form in Chicago last month when renting. They accepted an additional credit card as 2nd form. Well Fuad at this particular location tells mu fiance that he wont accept his credit card, a Navy Federal Credit card as 2nd form! Well Fuad what would you like me to present? A passport was his answer!! We asked so if my fiance a Black American who was born in the US does not have a passport he cant rent a vehicle with Avis?? Yes was his answer! Unbelievable!! By that time I was livid because Ive been renting since old enough to drive and I knew we were being discriminated against! :( This guy was a foreigner working in the heart of downtown Columbus.i asked was that location corporate. He paused so I restated the question and he replied no which is a lie. Asked for his superiors number he gave me a fake 800 number. I got his name ans td him that I knew this was bs and that Id be reporting him to Priceline whivh Ive already did, to Avis whivh Im doing now, to 10TV which Im contacting next and a prominent anti discriminate FB group with over 75 THOUSAND Colu.bus Ohio members. Both my fiance and I own a combined 5 businesses and to actually be refused service made me cry. We are in the Hertz presidential club. So we left and were in and out of there without even showing a credit card. Was a bit more but to be treated like humans we didnt mind. Called 3 other Avis locations all said that as long as you have major cc no other forms required. Smh. I'll be talking this one over with my attorney.

Avis Auto sales are horrible please do not buy a car from this place I'm telling you you will regret it. I purchased my car back in October of 2020 it is now December 23rd 2020 and I have been giving a temporary tag from the dealership and one from the tag office. And I still don't have my tag I am forced to ride around illegal which is unacceptable. You pay your money for a vehicle you should have your tag and your documents within 30 days Avis really needs to do a better job with processing their paperwork... I would never send my worst enemy to do business with this corporation they need to be shut down. And then they want to blame it on covid-19

We purchased a car from our local Avis Car Sales in CASH back on 6/21/20 and have not yet received our title or our license plates. My temporary plates expired on 10/2/20 and they refuse to give me a new temporary plates stating that it will ness up with my original plates that are due to come via mail. I've spoken to the general manager and he had taken my information and that he will get back with me and DOESN'T. I've called the corporate office number they have given me and it's the general rental phone never and all these people do us take my information and say the department will get back with me and no one does. I'm a cancer patient, I need my vehicle to get yo my Dr and chemo appointments and all I have been told that during the COVID 19 there is order that our governor has signed that no violations are given to anyone with an expired license plates. I DON'T CARE what executive order says I NEED TITLE and LICENSE PLATES. I paid for my vehicle CASH. This is crazy and I have reached out to my local news media to investigate.

Avis has undoubtedly the WORST customer service department of anyone I have ever experienced in my life. An employee left a box in the back of the rental return that had $1,000 worth of parts in it. The box was not recovered, meaning the rental place did not clean the car, NOR did they disinfect it for the next customer. The car went back out the next morning but they didnt' SEE the box in the back of the SUV. It was a large box with two alternators in it. That was two weeks ago and still haven't had any contact with anyone that speaks English that has any idea what to do.

My husband and I rented a car from avis. Wet got a flat tire. Called roadside assistant and phone said 15 minutes hold to speak with someone. Well we waited an hour still no one. We were stuck on the side of the rd.in the middle of nowhere. Got frustrated and call again on husband phone while I was still waiting to talk to someone on my phone. Still no one answered phone. Avis has the worst roadside assistance. Eventually a a mobile tire truck just happen to pull behind us( not avis) put air in tire to get us to a avis rental in Newnan ga. Where we was able to get another rental. I believe God sent that truck. Because otherwise we had no other way to get assistance. Our last time rentfrom avis.

After being a loyal customer for over 8 years with Avis, this is the last straw, We rented a car from The Santa Maria Ca Airport, we were in a rush, The car was filthy inside, food crumbs everywhere, food on the back seat floor, the smell of smoke penetrated our clothes, Head aches with the smell, Me and the wife used wipes and spray to clean, disinfect with no luck, The car was not washed it was filthy, today at 10 Am when I returned the car i let the Gentleman at the counter know and he said" I don't know how my car detail guy could of missed the inside, The car was never washed from the outside at all, they don't give a crap, this Avis Location is independently operated by Clancy McAuliff In Santa Maria CA, I asked the guy at counter for a Phone number or a claim i can make and he said no that was it, nothing i can do, Please beware, covid is no joke and these people are not helping US at ALL.

I Have Given Avis Three Weeks To Resolve My Matter, My Contract Was Not Closed Out As It Should Have Been, Spoke With A Local Employee, Taylor, Who Informed Me Of This And Assured Me That She Would Fix It But Did Not!!! Spoke With A Supervisor On The Customer Service Line, Alex, Who Also Informed Me Of The Company's Mistake And Also Assured Me That He Would Correct The Matter But Did Not!! They Initially Attempted To Charge My Card $955 Which Was Rejected By My Cc Company But Here's The Kicker....after Speaking With A Supervisor Who Admitted Wrong Doing And Assured Me That He Was Correcting The Matter While We Were On The Phone, Two Days Later My Card Has Been Charged For $1055. Yea The Proof Is In The Pudding And Im Going To My Attorney Right Now. I Will Have The Surveillance Cameras Checked At The Airport, I Will Have The Recorded Conversations Pulled As Well As My File That Has All The Wrong Doing Listed And I Know This Because The Employees Tell The Truth. I Will Never Use Avis And Will Do Everything In My Power To Make Sure The Public Knows And Does Not Use The Company Either. It Is A Shame That A Large Company Like This Is Out Here screwing The Little People. Mind You Im In Louisiana, We Have Enough Going On

I rented a car in Lake Charles Louisiana on Aug 19 to be returned on August 27. Everyone knows a hurricane destroyed Lake Charles on August 27.(loss waiver agreement purchased) At the direction of AVIS employees, I left the car in Louisiana during the mandatory evacuation. I returned to find the car under a carport. AVIS demanded I remove the carport in order for it to be towed - which I did under protest - before the contract could be terminated. I have spoken with more than 40 AVIS employees over the past 23 days and the contract has still not been closed and no one seem interested in resolving this case. Do not have any confidence in this company and would not recommend AVIS to anyone.

I'm again posting everywhere I can about how Avis stole 10,000 from me! I see now this is a SCAM business. During COVID 19 when we should be pulling together helping one another this business is robbing people blind! I don't care if I have to drive 22 hours to get there and fly a giant sign the whole way I am not stopping until I get my money back or a car! I'm a single mom with kids and was trying to help my mom and emergency happened. Now who's going to help me? You stole all the money I had to feed and shelter my family! How horrible is this company?

I was helping my mom move and we had an emergency along the way so I had to rent a car. I had the car for 3 days and that costed upwards of almost 600$ I returned the car and left the keys where I found them. The car was stolen and they contacted me some 2 weeks later asking about it. They found the car and of course I'm 6 states away and it was found in the state I rented it. At 9:31 at night 2 months later they wiped out my bank account and charged me 9500.00. Wtf?!?!

I rented a car for a friend to use while there car was being repaired. The rental car was stolen. I have followed all the written procedures, and talked to all the local people. All I have received is a form to fill out asking for information that is impossible to give because the car was stolen. They want the milage, the gas guage reading, the rental contract
, where the keys are and where it was dropped off.
All the while charging me for a daily rental and late fees.
I am asking for an advocate. I have received faceless beaurocracy. Please help. Call me please. Not another form to fill out, that does nothing to solve the issue of a stolen car.

On July 4 l were in Monroe la.i had a reservation with Avis to my surprise no one were there so the next day some were there hours later.i got the car it's were dirty in n out smell bad like wet clothes or a dog. I accidentally locked key n trunk n were told to tow car to Kia for $165.00 plus $250.00 for a key so I called pop a lock they came out to unlock the trunk for $120.00 n I have to go round with corporate they are the only ones with one key beware customer they're making money off that one key now I want my hundred twenty back

Ive called everyone....Avis has the worst customers service ever......IM TRING TO PAY MY BILL !!........ They wont take paymemt except debit....and I refuse 100% to give Avis my Debit card ever again......ill tell you why....originally I lost my Debit card so I had to go e Avis my new debit card and that caused a 2x a week withdraw from my bank acount.....when they claimed it was fixed...it was not....it messed up my bank account so bad I had to cancel my Debit card a 2nd time.......over 3months after the car was picked up I finally got a final bill.....the debit card on file is NOT the new debit card.......i will not give Avis that # for obvious reasons. I have called every office local, out of state, corporate and could not pay my bill of $259.02 with out a debit card ......i am willing to send a money order.....money gram.....western union......but I'm told I'm going to be sent to collections. I'm just trying to pay !!!!.

Yes I win a car from Avis and budget of Westland on Vanborn and Middlebelt I had an issue in the beginning where I rented a car and it was still dirty and filthy in the inside I did not complain or anything I just wanted my car cleaned out and got treated poorly even after that incident I still Continue to rent cars from them about three rentals in I got a nice truck that didn't even have 7000 miles on it I believe it was a 4Runner howeverI pick the car up and go to a friends house because we were about to hit the road we stop and get something to eat and he put down the cupholder it was old food spilled drinks and all types of different things I have to the videos and photos of it as well however in the pandemic that we're dealing with as far as the Coronavirus and Calvin 19 I was actually scared to use the vehicle and I had rented the vehicle for a week I always get the rentals for one week at a time however I had to park my car and I'm not driving until the next day so I can take it to get it clean when I did so I was upset at this point because it was the second time I ask him I car be clean without cussing or anything he told Me there was not a cleaner there and he did not clean out cars and I tell him this is the second time you guys have sold me a dirty vehicle and I pay $300 a week almost I should be able to have a clean vehicle especially with all the viruses and diseases and stuff going around I don't want to put my family or myself at risk however he told me he was not helping me and he told me to leave the premises all because I wanted my truck to be clean that I paid $300 for his name is Jason I'm not sure what his last name is but he is the manager of Avis and budget I'm Westland he was Very rude and disrespectful to me for no reason at all I just wanted to clean vehicle or a refund because I didn't want to get sick I've run at 12 vehicles from that location this year a long I just wanted to be treated fairly and I got treated like crap.

This company is horrible and should be shut down. I'm not sure how this company is still even up and running. They are crooked, they don't care about their customers and they charge your card numerous times and have an excuse for every charge. It's ridiculous. Not only that but when you try to call and complain or to get something resolved they never are able to help or they ignore your calls.
