It took a while to port existing number to Boost for new service. I had to call customer service and the gal that answered was really nice (no issues).
The activation took about 3 hours to complete due to porting #.
I went online and added funds and set account up for automatic payments.

The phone then would not ring nor could I make calls.
I called customer service back, a rep answered right away and took care of the problem.

All in all, the experience so far has been good.
My calls were answered right away. Questions and problems have been answered and resolved.

I've been reading all of these comments and I feel bad that you've all had such bad experiences with Boost! I can honestly say I've never had a problem with this service, and I just reached my $35/month milestone (18 on time payments). I've had Boost for a little over 2 years and in that time I switched phones once (bought a better smartphone) with no problem. I've called customer service maybe twice (if that ?) in the 2 years and I truly have had no issues with the person on the other end. My service isn't as great as my fiance's (he has Verizon) but it's never so bad that I can't handle it. I don't always have full bars everywhere I go, but who does? All in all, Boost is a pretty good value for what you pay. For $35 a month I have a decent phone, pretty good service, and I really can't complain. Good luck to the rest of you!! :)

Call this number here, 866-434-6295 . Think the guy who answered said it was some escalation department. But he answered in about 5 seconds. All I needed was my username/boost mobile email address for my account, which you can't get from the automated system. He had me off the phone in about 3 minutes.

So far we've been with Boost for nearly a year and are very happy with their service, our retail store rep, and even the few calls we had to make to CS when porting numbers. After reading the poor reviews I was hesitant, but I'm glad we made the move. The 3G service isn't as fast as verizon or other carriers but we're not paying up the wazoo either. Coming from non-data plans we're very content. We've moved my family members to Boost to and they haven't had any complaints. We love the fact that there's no suprise fees, and the bill is constant. Recharging in person with cash also helps avoid issues when paying with a credit card (as other bad reviews state). Its a small inconvenience for that safety.

i just called boost customer service because my browser was not working and this very nice and helpful agent named Ryan assisted me. if u have never worked at a call center its so easy to make judgment and complain. but if you treat the person on the other line like you would like to be treated im sure your experience will be positive. and if not there are many other carriers.... -bbprincesa

I've only had to talk to customer service once before. Couldn't understand the person. He put with someone else and I was helped immediately. There needs to be a line for English people to tlk to and Spanish for another line. Other than that I'm satisfied.

I ussed this info today- only had my phone 2 days and suddenly "no service" Tried the regular #'s never able to get a live person- I tried the steps listed here and got a live person, albeit, outside of the U.S. but she was friendly, I could understand her and she took care of me and got me up an running....apparently one of the Grandkids had put my phone in 'Airplane mode"- and that's all it was ...crazy, but truly thankful I found this info .

I had been with them for 3 years and never had a problem...I follow yuor instructions and someone answer fast

After following how to contact a live person, less then A minute i was.talking to a live person. unfortunately they were not able to help me, for recovery of accidental deletion. Oh well, still better then those lying sob's.at metro pcs, about federal taxes, when it's them charging extra taxes....

I had lost my new phone number when I typed in the wrong passcode in my blackberry. I could not find anywhere that would tell me what it was until I stumbled across this site. I followed the tutorial to talk to a representative (i hate talking to machines) and before I pressed the 2 at the end, it told me my phone number. thank you Boost

When I got fed up with trying to navigate through the 866 customer service line, I decided to call this number to see if it would be the same old automated menu maze. I followed the directions to the "T" and a customer service rep picked up almost immediately. He was very polite and happy to help me out. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to find out their real Boost account number.

i dont iknow who most of you have been dealing with but, i had to call twice in the same day 2 different operators and both were very helpfull and respectful, checked the towers checked my phone and even called me to tell me when the cell tower was back up.

so thier service was better than verizon and thier service is the best i ever had. inside my work are over 1000, flourescent lights, i get full bars for internet ,chat and the 3g... except when the tower went down which again they actually called me to tell me it was back up..
good job boost keep up the good work.

I really don't know what city or state you all are in but Ive had Boost since day 1, I live in Hartford CT. Ive never had an issue with any of my phones or service. Now my wife and son have boost mobile and actually love's it. I now have the ZTE Warp phone and its a nice cool phone and once again no problem with the phone. There is a number that you can call and get a hold of someone other than that automated service. Just have to do your research and stop your crying ..

all righty first of all boost mobile customer service is the same as any other you have to know you way around the system it took me about three mins and four words to get a supervisor but im seasoned ive been battling with verizon for the last two years and for the one who would never go with boost but reccomends we all leave boost and switch to metro pcs also owned by sprint nextel well that just sounds like the type of person who lives off fast food and complains about their weight furthermore i do not belive her little brother who may be even slower then her was cursed out or able to contact customer service with a phone that was not activated and should have been sued by sprint nextel for the bill he racked up on an adult chat line probly underaged on a prepaid phone hows that for an opinion how about some facts my boost 3g is on average three times faster then verizon and i have coverage everywhere i go and i live way out in the boonies plus unlimited data well unlimited everything for that matter and bill shrinkage whats to complain about you guys dont like boost switch to a main carrier pay three to four times as much for what your gettin now and when you decide thats not good enough for you because obviously nothing is you can stop paying your bill and insted pay a three to five hundred dollar fee for backing out of the two year contract and maybe even get slapped with the bill for the month of service you havent recived yet p.s. i only clicked negitive experience so this post would land on top of all these winers ive had cricket had streight talk had virgen had sprint and just recently left verizon over all what i get from boost for what i pay beats them all in a landslide

Very helpful. I don't like the robot thing I have to wait through.

I am having a great experience with Boost Mobile. The rules are simple. Pay your bill on or by the 1st of the month, no problem. I just got off the phone w/customer service and this man was nice, courteous and so so helpful. He actually made me smile.
Try contacting AT&T - they suck! They are the reason I got out of the phone plans with a contract. AT&T will never admit to overbilling, and never makes a concession to loyal customers. I had been with them for 5+ years, but got tired of having to pay extra for everything.
BOOST Mobile is SWEET!

Boost Mobile website sucks. The contacting info does not list a live representative phone number. I kept getting the automated stupid thing with choices that did not apply for my calling reason. The website did not have my answer. Facebook and Twitter were awash too. I had to do a Bing search in order to find the contact number for a live person. I was suprised to see the steps listed for which numerical choices to make in order to get a live representative. The live representative I got was wonderful! I will be saving this page on my computer so that the next time I have a need to talk to a rep I will be able to talk to a "live" one.

Had boost for over 4 years now, no problems. just recently swapped from an i465 to the prevail(sweet base line droid phone).
Sure the automated system will drive you nuts sometimes. but haven't had a problem with customer care, the two times i've had to call in the last three years.

TO all those that are trying to put flash on the prevail, it won't work, not boost's or samsung's fault. Adobe doesn't allow flash to be installed in a phone that is low spec like this.
There are FLV(flash video file) players that do just fine.

TO all those gripping about the Blackberry issue, that was RIM, not boost that caused that problem. ANY BODY with a black berry had the same issue for those days.

To all those jumping up and down about the i series of phones(i475 for instance) it's the iden side of boost, and data sux on it. It's not really set up for that, takes for ever to connect. And don't even think about anything like face book or data intensive service, you wont' be able to connect, they aren't designed for that. All those phones are good for is texting, calling, and walkie talkie. anything else is beyond the capabilities of the phone.

Before you buy any of the phone, do some research on the capabilities first and see if it fits. I waited 6 months for the prevail, my fiance just got the transform, and loves that thing. waiting for a while then when i can get spare batteries for a warp will probably get that, just depends on what is out.

Now, on to problems with the phones.
Guess what, if the phone craps, or has an issue, it's not boost's responsibility to provide you with diddly. they provide the service, you provide the phone. You generally have a warranty that covers most defects with it, but that is up to the manufacturer, not boost.
You break it, or it's stolen, hope you had insurance(although the deductible will be the cost of a new phone, and 5 bucks a month adds up quick).
Stop trying to compare a prepaid service with any contract service, the standards are quite different, and any more the contract carriers are worse than ANY prepaid.

I love boost mobile! I for the most part have a great signal, used to have verizon I would say the signal is close to the same. I just wish I could get customer service easier I somehow reached them once and cannot remember how the heck I got through the first time.
If you make your payment on time you will have shrinkage of your bill which I wish everyone had! I have a phone for myself and my daughter and she is a texting queen! 50 per month unlimited not bad I am on disability so it is affordable for us.
Mary from Pennsylvania.
