Louzy customer service. I bought a printer from them and it is not working within two months. The printer has an overheat error. They just want me to contact the manufacturer. They stated unless I bought an extended warranty, I would have to contact the manufacturer myself.

I purchased the new xbox 360 controller with the transforming dpad from them on 11/15/10. One week later the silver coating on the dpad itself was starting to peel off. I contacted buy.com customer support and was told that they could not replace the controller because I no longer had the box. They don't even have a 7-day limited warranty? Well anyway I contacted Microsoft and was sent a replacement controller right away. Lesson learned - spend the extra couple of dollars you think your saving and buy your products from a more customer friendly source, just in case something goes wrong?

I purchased a Garmin GPS for running and paid 143.99. A few days later I got an email from Buy.com that showed the exact one I bought for 127.99. I contacted Buy.com and asked them to credit me the difference. I figured just like any other retailer, if you buy something and then it goes on sale within a reasonable amount of time, they will give you the sale price. To put this in context, I have bought $1000(s) of dollars worth of products from Buy.com. Annie (the supervisor I spoke with) told me that it was policy to not credit the money and even when I asked her if she was willing to lose a long time customer over $16 she said (in not so few words) YES. I then emailed my disappointment to Buy.com and figured that they would at least look into this. They just closed my account.

I just attempted to report that I received a damaged item. Some hour or two later I still had not gotten a rep. that speaks plain old English and that is ALL I understand. I still have NO idea as to what I was instructed to do.
It is a small inexpensive item that arrived damaged and I just wanted to report that to the seller.
Why do you not simply have an email where all this could have been reported and hopefully resolved? This is the "internet age"..isn't it?
BTW the order number was 56714769.

All of these horrid reviews are absolutely true. The customer service is terrible. Expect many transfers between departments. Also, expect them to straight up lie to you to settle you down.

They apparently made a mistake in their listing of a laptop, and sent me an email 5 days after it was supposed to be shipped, that the transaction had to be canceled due to a mistake on their part. After spending over a half hour on the phone, and six transfers, I finally got to speak with a supervisor who informed me that they would ship the item the next day. I called back the next day to confirm because I had a bad feeling...and I was right. They told me again that the item was canceled, and there was no way for it to be fulfilled.

I'm going over to newegg.com.

DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH BUY.COM!!!!!

i almost spent a lot of money on a computer with you until i started reading reviews about bad service slow shipping hidden phone numbers and then i was reading your policy for returns and it basicly says if you make one mistake your screwed your rma will be void why would anyone buy anything from you your own return policy should scare anyone

I wish I had seen this about BUY.com before my purchase. I tried to cancel an order within an hour of purchase.. and they told me it was too late, I had to wait to receive the item. It was too late! Under an hour??? Come on! Will never do business with these scam artists again. No live customer service number listed on their site. How awful!! they sent it anyway to somebody else in my name! Now I have to wait 8-10 business days for refund!

Strictly Mumbai-based support, and they cannot do anything for you.

Beware: If you get overnight shipping, a signature is required and UPS *cannot* allow you to pick up the shipment at the depot due to Buy.com's policies. You MUST be available for signature when the truck is there, period. There is no getting the tag and picking it up later. UPS can't do anything about it. I was not even told my order required a signature and now my overnight shipping fee was completely wasted due to a three-day weekend. I've ordered a lot of stuff online and have never run into UPS being *not allowed* to give me my package at will-call.

yeah buy.com is a half @$$ operation. I tried to order something TWICE and both times the order was cancelled without trying to contact me. Why ask for your email if they are not going to bother to use it. Trust me don't bother with this site it is not worth it.

This is the worst merchant I agree with everyone here.I ordered the pink 24in tv for my daughter a week later it was still saying processing I called and they said they handed the order over. I called the other company and said the item was discontinued a month ago why buy.com has it on here still they should have taken it off.

Don't waste your time or money with Buy.com. They sent me a broken refrigerator, and are now claiming that it's unreturnable because the original UPS barcode sticker is not on the box....what?? They know they are sending sub-par products, and so prevent returns with arbitrary requirements. I had to search online for their customer service number, who tells me that someone will call me back within 48 hours about my return...what kind of company is this???

Tried to cancel an order less than 2 hours after placing it. Though they clearly state it won't leave their warehouse for another 3 days, they wouldn't / couldn't cancel it.

Ordered a Hamilton Beach item from buy.com via Amazon. Received only the "lid" in the box. When I tried contacting Buy.com on the website it was only via email, but luckily found this site with the phone number. I got through to a live person almost immediately, but was passed around to 3 different people and kept being put on hold. After 20 minutes, I was told they would "open an investigation" to find out what happened to the package. I just wanted to return it and get the whole item I ordered! The box it was shipped it was completely sealed. It was obviously sent to me incomplete. Now I have to wait 48 hours to find out what the sleuths at buy.com figure out. Never again.

Horrible!!!!!!!!! This webiste doesn't even give you a contact number, you have to google search their information. Secondly they never state that you have to wait 3days in addition to the shipping time frame- which is not a good thing. If people are doing what i did, I shipped my package to my employer now I don't know what to do. I found this website by accident and honestly wish I never ran into it. I would've been much better off ordering it from Bestbuy and knowing that I would get my product on time.

I also e-mailed Buy.com immediately, but haven't heard from them.

I too received an email today to our main company's address saying "thanks for your order" for notebook computer totaling over $1300. I also emailed customer support but have not heard back from them. I know for sure this is a scam. If you scroll your mouse over the the link to the "buy.com" it says http:sonda.co.kr. Please be sure you check your credit card statement also to be sure your account numbers have not been stolen.

Received an e-mail today at my work e-mail address attaching a "Thanks for your order" message from Buy.com, order number invluded for $1,300 plus of computer and componets. A search of the Buy.com website listed no customer service phone number, or any number for that matter; everything is e-mail based. Did a google search for "Buy.com customer service phone number," and ended up at this site. Called the number: 800-800-0800. Predictably, my call was answered by an automated answering service. I listend to the options and selected the one for "questions about an existing order." After an approximately 15 minute wait, I finally got a live person, "Linda" who in answer to my question told me she was located in the Phillipines. Her English was pretty good and she was nive and helpful. Upon providing her with the order number provided in the e-mail she informed me that it was not a Buy.com order numbers, and that they had no order in my name, confirming my suspicion that the e-mail was some type of scamm.

I will NOT use buy.com again...placed an order on June 7th it is now June 18th..no package...what good is a confirmation number? All it said was "processing"..that's really not a lot of help...In addition the item I purchased said "Free Shipping"..I was charged $7 and some change for shipping..when I finally found their no. (not on the website) the customer rep told me that their system was down and she couldn't give me any information. I am extremely disappointed...this is just HORRIBLE!!

Be careful with this company. They would entice you with their instant rebate in their emails. Once you order, that rebate is no longer good since the item will be shipping from a 3rd party vendor. There was no mention that the seller should only be buy.com. Then to get customer service number, it's not listed in their website. You have to google it and it even looks like it's another website.

I used the number, it worked to get through but I will NOT use BUY.com again. It took a long time for a live person to understand me, and to actually fix my problem. Now I have been charged for overnight shipping even though my orer was on hold for a week. *sigh*
