Gmail Customer Service Complaints - page 2

I am really upset with Gmail right now. I have never needed a question answered before so I did not know how absolutely rude the customer service people are. I have been hung up on four times and disconnected before anyone answered 3 times. They refuse to help at all unless you give them your credit card number and rudely hang up on you if you say you are not willing to pay them to answer a question. I have never had such awful customer service!I have called 3 different numbers for them and they have all hung up on me when I say I cannot pay them.

The support guy in nz was absolutely terrible. not only was he unhelpful he was rude and literally swore at me. so discusted!!!!!

This is the second time that I've been, and personal iinformation have been asked and when it get to the year I graduated, I was hung up on, and that is true decrimination, and I will be reporting this toThe Better Business Bureau, and my lawyer. You should know it's against law to discriminate against someone's age among other things.

I spoke to aol and they told me my account is being hacked I spoke to Yahoo and same thing,my account are Christine that has been closed down soon as I found out please close my accounts you can contact me at [email protected] or 518-702-4226 please contact me asap they change my security ? I want to close my account asp.I just found this out.I was thinking it was me in till I was on the phone with aol and they told me I was hacked,and someone's on my pof accounts,someone is one my facebook account changing my postcodes.I've been have to making new account up because some ones been playing with my mine life. Every week, my account is temporarily locked down for security reasons. It's become a joke. No other email account I have does this but gmail and I've had enough. Their help sites are full of crap and good luck on trying to contact customer service. Any other company that does something like this would be investigated, fined or shutdown but how Google and their gmail manages to stay active is a mystery to me. They don't stand by their product, they don't help you and it's almost akin to a scam email.

After several years happy use, my emails--all to friends and mostly jokes or links to articles and websites--started bouncing back to me....not from my friends' mailboxes but because Gmail itself. This happened with mailings to as few as ten addressees. Impossible to contact Google itself in any meaningful way. Went online and found out that a huge number of other clients are having the same problem and no one has a solution. Using 'Groups' would help to some extent if you have fixed lists, but if you tailor your addressees differently for each email according to its contents, there's no hope: the volunteer netizens who respond intermittently on Gmail's behalf make it clear that Google has developed new parameters for what qualifies as Spam, and it is not about to change them again, and (in words to this effect), Screw all you people whose emails are wrongly classified as Spam, you're collateral damage, and we won't tell you what the parameters are because that would make it easier for real Spammers to avoid blocking. Well, screw almighty Google.

You have been harassing us for months with your offers. We are calling the North Dakota State Attorney General with our complaint. Please call me so you can stop this harassment.

I canceled a subscription to a google email domain I had and it's been impossible to check all my other free gmail accounts ever since.
I literally can't access my emails and I have at least 3 gmail accounts which are not related to that domain.
I called customer support and they said the only thing I can do is to pay to restore the domain otherwise I will never be able to access my emails again.
This is outrageous and I am never going to use gmail ever again.
To all potential customers out there, please don't buy a gmail domain unless you want this to happen to you too!

Tried to ask for help because my voice search won't work and you wanted me to buy for help to fix it. It's your system you should not ask for any payments to fix it. I didn't brake it, it just shut down on me. I'm very unhappy with your service.

Its a nightmare. Keeps asking me to go through a 2 step verification process, sends me a code, I type in the code and am told Verification Failed. Now and again, it works, but only for a short while - then I'm asked to go through the whole procedure again - have now done so 27 times. All the while this ghastly malfunction is costing me time and money.

My son forgot his password two months ago. Since then we have been trying to retrieve it. I complete the questions but every time it tells me it does not correspond with their details. He can't play clash of clans now and nobody can assist. Supercell tells me to speak to gmail. But their is no gmail customer service in south Africa. What can I do?

Hi -- I just left a v/m with my phone numbers re this urgent issue. I can no longer, as of 7/27/15, sign out of my gmail account. The drop down box I have checked up until this time no longer opens. I do not want to have my account on all the time, please let me know where you have redesigned the log out/sign out button. I do not use chrome, do not use apps, i use email. Please advise.

For three days and counting, I cannot access my 3 accounts because I have the 2-step verification program (extra security -THEIR program provides via text or phone a code to enter to verify ID and password) and they are not sending the code to my phone nor my backup phone. I have no access. The online Google "support" has no true solution. The "support" operator said the only thing I can do is place a post on the community forum (where, incidently, someone else has this same problem and there has been no solution posted). I was told they do not provide support. How can this be when this is a problem on their end not sending a code to access my account? It's time to find another email provider.

It is about a week I get problem working with my gmail mail as before.
I can not attached file the option attach file disappear? I can not alter the address sending my email. I thought I got virus in my PC, I got it checked it is virus free. they advised me to contact gmail to see how the problem come about.

An complete joke. After suddenly being locked out of my email address of four years I have been forced to endure ten phone calls to so called 'gmail' support. Toldd on numerous occasions that someone will contact me to help e gain access to my account or we will send all the information to reset your account......LM the tenth phone call told they don't actually work for gmail and there would be a charge of £79.00to help me access my account! Why seven days when this farce began could they not inform me of this??? Absolutely disgraceful I have now wasted the passed 7 days trying to resolve this Complete waste of time. On and to add to the above rude, ignorant call center staff.

Gmail at one point in history was simple and direct. Now it is a complicated app whose primary purpose is to sell products from Google or Google sponsered products. Google puts you through so much BS that in the end (mostly out of the frustration to remain simple} you want to not use Google for anything. I yearn for the days when you click on e/mail and get only a straight forward e/mail app. Now all you get is Google complete control of your app that requires you to go through complicated and sometimes impossible loops and hoops. The solo purpose is to loop you into a product or complicated schemes that are hardly clear. The solo purpose of the hoops is to take control of you and if possible the rest of the world. All I want is to see and use a simple version of my Gmail. Google we know of your lusty thirst to control the entire Internet. Use care in the end users may click on you arrogant invitation to erase all of Google.

Continuing, and to be specific. Thanks to gmail customer service, all contacts on my android phone were deleted, and some of those contact names now appear on the wrong number. Calls come in identified from the wrong country. Apps such as photo gallery were taken from my Nexus tablet by gmail tech support and have not been replaced. They made it impossible to transfer photos to an album which I was able to do before I called them.
There were problems before I contacted them, but it is just as bad if not worse after their "support".

Gmail customer service was a disaster for me. They made me pay twicen because they confused my account and sent one receipt to an email address they knew I could not access. Over a period of three weeks they promised continually that my problems would be fixed. Repeatedly they said they would phone me and never did. In the end, after multiple assurances that they would fix my problems with a gmail address, they did not.

I have had enough of gmail security.
I travel a lot; I have ouytlook linked to 3 gmail accounts and every time I go somewhere my login is rejected for 'suspicious activity on the account'
Then I have to jump through security hoops and it is all too painful.
Surely it is up to the customer to select the level of security he wants and nothing to do with gmail - or is google just another #Big Brother' organisation building huge databases and linking all sorts of data together?

Anyway, until I hear of a less onerous approach to security, Im off elsewhere.

Whenever I open my gmail account and go to details , it always shows that one more session is open elsewhere. I have changed my password several times but to no avail. I have not given permission for any application or account to get connected with this. This has started only since past five months back. I tried opening this account on different computers to see if it is compromised on a particular machine but I find it on any machine . This shows that it is google account is breached. Can you help I have been using for several years . Can you help?

For a company with the biggest subscriber base, they have the WORST support! They're rude, unable to understand English, doesn't understand the severity of the issues, and worse is that they don't really want to help? Why is Google allowing these people to ruin their good name. Support is the for front for their business and they are letting these IDIOT'S do the talking for them. Google and Gmail should look into this thoroughly.

For some time now I have endured random refusal by Google of my CORRECT password, and am so forced to change my password to gain access to my account, should I not be presented with a solution I will eliminate Google entirely from my computer as well as all affiliated with Google, Facebook and Google + come to mind. I Have Not Been Able To Get Into My Gmail Accssount Since October 10,2014 ! I Have Filled Out Their Forms At Least 15 Times In Every Way Possible ! They Say If You Can't Retrieve It Yourself It Will Take 3-5 Days And My Math Shows 14 Days It Is Impossible To Talk To A Warm Body. I Have Told Them What Many Of My Emails Are And Who They Are From But The Last "canned" Message I Got Today Still Says I Have Not Provided Correct Info. If I Can't Give Them Correct Info I Would Like To Know Who Can If I Ever Get My Account Back I Will Retrieve Bmy Info And Open An Email Acct Where Support Is Available When Needed.

It was so ... I was yelled at, told that I am in the wrong, unable to talk to anyone incharge, and then hung up on.
