I just contacted gmail customer service to try and recover my id n password. I was told to hold on then transferred to another representative w out warning. Then the other representative hung up on me in the middle of my explanation. When I called back I was told I'd be called back. When I stated that he doesn't have my number he said ok n hung up on me! This is very frustrating and un called for. I didn't get any help at all!

I purchased a new phone so needed to set up my gmail account on the new phone.Absolutely impossible to retrieve your previous password,after answering the question that I could to the best of my knowledge. Still tells me the information you have provided is not acceptable.I dont remember when I set the account up or what password I used last.That's why im on here to get my password duh!!!customer service yeah ok

I've been a user of gmail since it's early limited release, and have been generally satisfied with it, although i've been unhappy about their latest changes which were forced upon users (new compose). But that's not my main grudge.
I've setup my own mail server. I've noticed that gmail would flag mail from that server as "spam" (and it will land in the spam folder). I've spent about a whole day, actually more like two, reading through gmail documentation and online forums, and doing all that I could do to avoid my mail being detected as spam, including contacting gmail (no answer).
At this date, gmail is still flagging my mail as spam and I have no idea why. There is nothing spammy about my mail.

I just wanted to use my gmail. I did not want your changes. I will not use your product and will stick to user friendly yahoo! I am not using your service again so don't even bother sending me anything!

No telephone number to contact anyone,when you try to reset your password you just keep going in circles, specially if you do not remember your last password.Thank you for your no customer service.

It sucks waited on hold for almost 30 minutes
then the operator answered, I ask my Question 3 times, if I could bypass their changes to gmail
I dont need another friend face book or a website wondering what im doing 24/7.

Anyway it sounded like she was hanging out in a high school cafeteria she couldnt hearme then she just hung up.
No it wasnt my phone service I have at&t and had 4 bars

Gmail has totally ruined my email account. I have tried to fix it numerous times and am retold they cannot do it because I cannot remember the year I set it uo. It was either 2009 or 2010, but they have said that is not good enough. I finally set it uo with Yahoo.

Gmail is just arrogant. They don't even
make it simple to consult with a technician
by email.... forget wasting their dear time
and resources on personal service on the phone.

I have an email account with Gmail. I cannot log on to my Gmail account. When I try to log on, I get a window that appears to want to set me up with a new Gmail account. It seems impossible to by pass this inconvenience so I tried setting up a new account. They finally gave me a code number by phone to set up the account. When I received and inserted this # I was told this was not the correct #. It was delivered by phone and was inserted correctly. I tried four times to set up an account and they finally said that my phone number for the code had been used too many times and would not longer accept my attempted application. No customer service.

The size of the email messages font suddenly became miniscule & almost unreadable. I can't find any directions for returning it to the previous size. This is a Google glitch since I wasn't doing anything when it happened. Google doesn't have customer support without paying a lot. Google isn't interested in customer support. Don't use Google. They don't realize that developing good customer relationships is the new marketing strategy and just common sense. Google is a real disappointment.

GMAIL SUCKS!! i loved it until it locked me out of my own account. NO ONE from google responds to my messages nor is there a number to even call and speak to someone! MAJOR FAIL GOOGLE - because you wont fix my broken account, I'll just have to delete it. GLADLY.

Ditto to everyone who said it's ridiculous you can't phone anyone. I went thru online support, paid $3 for a chat with a "Google Account Specialist" who was anything but!! Useless customer service that you pay for- that's a new one.

I have had it with my gmail service. I work during the day and when I arrive at home at night by 18:00 and want to check my E mails , I am locked out due to my password being incorrect. Much later at night or early the next morning the problem seems to have solved itself.
It is however most frustrating because at the time I want to use the service it is not available.
Please help me!!

How is it that there is no customer support? All my other email services do. I didnt even want to set up a gmail account but i had to for my android. Google makes plenty of money they should have a 1800 number. Im highly disappointed .

I am so completely unimpressed with Gmail at this point. Your program is not working, but as a customer I am not able to speak to anyone about the problem and I cannot even get online technical support without paying a significant amount. So reality is that Gmail does not support it's customers at all without a very hefty fee. It may be inconvenient, but I am seriously looking at changing my email server. What a poor quality way of doing business. I am working very hard at keeping my language appropriate but frankly am disgusted with Gmail at this point. This is very disappointing that the first time I have a problem I cannot get any assistance. Frankly, this is an incredibly poor way to run a company.

I waited a total of 50 minutes to talk to a customer service representative from the phone number listed on google on 12/7/11 10:50am-11:40am central time. There were 3 separate phone calls made in the 50 minute time hack. With how busy this line was waiting for a customer service rep to attend to me, I found it odd that I talked to the same lady every time. Her employee id is 3019, and refused to disclose her name, which I thought was an automatic customer courtesy for any customer service. The first time she informed me that there was no customer service representative to help me add a domain to my account, or for any other technical issue. So, she told me to go to mail.google.com then flash support. When that didn't work, naturally I had to call back. Then she told me to add flash support onto .com with nothing in between. That again, did not work. Before I hung up, I also found it odd that she actually asked me if I was a paying or free account? I would think all customers should be equally important. I blame myself for not hanging on the line that time, but if your customer service consists of one lady telling people the wrong answer for what I am sure is and will be a simple solution, then something is wrong. The third time I called, she said "mam, I can spell it out for you if you would like??" Really? She did that on the second call and spelled it out wrong...she failed to mention until the third call that there was a forward slash between the .com and flash support. I kept her on the line this time and it still did not work. She did not have an answer for me, and when I asked to speak to a manager or anyone else, she told me that there was no one. I asked her how she get evaluated, and the only thing she said was "mam, unless you would like me to spell it out for you again, then I am ending the call. Again, her employee ID # is 3019, but I'm sure you know that since you have one person manning the telephone, and who does not know what she is talking about on top of everything else. I don't understand the wait time if she was the only one answering the phones. She was not helpful, lacked the knowledge needed for customer service rep, unfriendly, and rude. I would appreciate and expect a follow-up on this complaint, as well as the correct solution to my question. Thank you, my email is [email protected]

I got an android phone and the guy at the store said I needed to set up a gmail acct to use the phone. So I went through and set that up, possibly fat fingered the password. Anyways I got it home and started going through the manual I got with the phone. I tried setting up my email and I got errors when I entered the password for my acct. Well I filled out a form online to get the issue resolved through Google (Seems they don't have a chat or live phone number for tech support) and have waited and waited for days to hear anything back on how to resolve this

Even if you call HQ in California, there is simply no way you can speak with a person to get help. The tech support is time consuming, frustrating and unsatisfactory; the main thing they keep pushing is the fees they want to charge for their (laughable) service. Thumbs down (and I am a Google shareholder!).

it is ridiculous that google, with so many on gmail, google docs and so on, cannot just call a support number, for tech or anything.

why does google not have a number to call for cust. service..i work in a call center and ppl call all of the time with problems with gmail acct. issues...we are unable to help them and google does not have a number to resolve the issue..
