I have been with GoDaddy since 2006. I have had minimal problems and find their customer service excellent and consistent.

Most of the time their product knowledge is fine. MOst of the time they have resolved my issues on first call. I wrote the president once, complaining about an issue that was not properly resolved and they then took care of it. But that was a rare situation.

I think they are a great example of excellent customer service.

The only real issue I have is with their pricing on dedicated servers - after a couple years it is cheaper to get a new server than continue with the current one - but to do that, one has to migrate the contents. In my case that is complicated. I would think they would lower old servers costs.

But even this is not enough to make me downgrade their ratings.

After finding out Go Daddy used a method actor for the Super Bowl commercial, it convinces me that they are as fake a product as the commercial was. I doubt Danica is even a race car driver now, just some hot actor. Fake and crappy is how I see GD now. All they had to do is go into the bowels of their data center and find a REAL geek...but no, fake is as fake is.

Go Daddy is a fraud and a sham. Very disappointing.

The number worked. Seems outdated. Tech Support line is #3 now. I was a 35 minute phone call with 20 minutes of holding. He ran "tests" on my website.

I've used GoDaddy for years without any real problems... but now someone needs to tell the brainiacs over there that bombarding current customers with emails is annoying as hell so I will be changing companies due to this. Duh, this is not a good business practice.

For all you who are whiners and complainers, just remember this one thing------

It is YOUR responsibility to keep your stuff up to date, secure and accessable to you, period.

If your password is password then you deserve to and eventually will loose everything, tard.

Can't setup email on your phone?
Ask the makers of the phone why it isn't clear and all up front on their devices to setup email. Iphones bury the important settings for that, why?

For all you who know this already but still whine and complain, get a basic education on how the internet works, then you may better understand and not be so ready to complain when your email is delayed by a few minutes or don't get instant gratification when you move services somewhere new and do not see your website working right then.

CSR's, wherever they are, are well educated in all this but after a few thousand of your moans groans and agressive belligerency towards them, it's a wonder any of them have never said that you are a stone cold idiot and should not have access to any pc in some cases. If there was a way to reach thru the phone and slap you, they would do it.

Patients is a CSR's main virtue, usually not yours, because you are angry about something. To endlessly have to put up with idiots who cant manage their own passwords let alone navigate some basic website menu to help recover it says it all.

Go to a local low budget college and take a 2 hour class on how it all works, then you maybe will be more patient with CSR's who are frustrated with your lack of education about the net to nearly the point of leaping into some hiway traffic to end their suffering.

Applaud if you love this.
Shut up if you don't.

What I don't like about Go Daddy:
1.You have to call for refunds. After 10 years they still have no automated system in place for this.
2.Bad website setup for ease of use, awesome for confusion and forced call-ins by clients, I suspect marketing is all behind its creation.
3.You have to pay somehow to get fast help, either your cell phone minutes, long distance (for those still not using cell phones) Yes they have a toll free #, advertised it too, and an 90IQ should be able to guess what it is. Also, at least they are there answering phones all the time unlike low end understaffed places who only talk to you by email.
4.What their uppers show themselves to be like on tv; crude, sexist, party animals is on the mark, but the low end CSR's still try to fix your errors best they can
5. IMO they support SOPA, they only reversed that decision because of all the users who bailed that same day, many many thousands of domains were being transferred.

Oh my goodness what can I say that hasn't already been said. Irrelevant answers from a sheet, no-one allowed to think, resolution impossible to find, refund only way to feel half-better.

I should have realized after I tried to sell a domain through these guys, that it's money for nothing, like Google (Do no evil by doing nothing at all), customer support is non-existent.

Please cancel this order, your website advertised this as instantaneous and automatic which is what I needed on the date that I ordered. When that did not happen I found another company who could get the job done. Your website was/is misleading, very misleading, I have made copies of all of the misleading statements that imply that on the date of my order everything would be done automatically and it wasn’t. Since your company did not live up to what you advertised I expect a full refund via PAYPAL immediately. This is not my first request for a refund and I am getting very fed up at this point. If I do not receive refund within the next 48 hours I will seek a legal remedy to this situation that will include damages for my time and emotional distress this is causing me. Shame on all of you!

Support Staff Response
Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for contacting GoDaddy.com. I am a member of our Advanced Technical Support team and your recent support request to recreate an email address(es) using the domain pmi-cie.com was directed to our department for review. Due to these address(es) being previously setup in another account within the last 14 days, we will need to remove it completely from our system in order for you to setup these addresses. This will cause all email and contacts previously contained in these accounts to be removed completely and cannot be restored in the future.

You may allow 14 days to pass for them to be completely removed automatically or reply to this message stating that you agree to have the email addresses removed manually and are aware all data will be removed permanently so that we can allow access to these addresses sooner.

Thank you for your understanding and patience. Please feel free to contact us should you need any further assistance.

Regards,

Jason H.

I was able to get hold of their customer support after waiting for 10 minutes. They mentioned they have an issue with emails for the past 1 hour, are aware of the issue and working on it.

Every month we have issues with this company of one form or the other.

My ftp accounts weren't working at all. I sent in reports which were of no use. After trying to get my ftp accounts working, I decided to send in a report stating:

"I cant create an ftp user. keeps giving a comment \"FTP user name is unavailable. Please select a new user name\" I gave names like \"cjuser\" \"jackie\" \"randguy\" and multiple passwords and tried different paths. Why the hell is nothing working!?" The response was the step by step instruction on how to get an ftp account. Which had nothing to do with what I asked. Does no one read my messages?(September 13 Incident ID:

My account then got blocked. I sent in a report saying "my account was just blocked. what the hell!?" and got a response stating how to retrieve my password which has nothing to do with unlocking my account. (September 21 Incident ID:

I sent yet another report saying "My account has been blocked for over 2 weeks. Please unlock it". There response was how to get my password back again (October 10 Incident ID:

Sent another message stating "My account is blocked. I registered with my old email address which is about 3 years old and haven't used it since. So naturally I don't have the password for it anymore. Please just unlock my account (arunex) as I do not enjoy wasting all this time I paid for to use this service. Contact me via email at [email protected]" I got a response how to retrieve my password and have it sent to my email account I signed up with... (October 11 Incident ID:

Sent another report stating "I am so disappointed to see that even large companies still have useless/stupid employees. Incident ID: 16521282 was reported stating that My account is blocked and I last used my email address 3 years ago so forgot the password. I then get a response stating how to get my password sent to my email. Please just unlock my account. contact me via email [email protected]" this time I received a message how to unlock my account at long last. (October 12 Incident ID:

After following the procedure properly, Finally received a message stating:

"We have updated your customer account email address as you requested. Please use our account retrieval system. You can retrieve your customer number and reset your password from this page:" (October 14 Incident ID: 16543086)

I followed the steps and had to repeat the process 2ce as my account was blocked again immediately after I unblocked it. Thanks for being useless go daddy support.

Our website has been on and offline for two months. GoDaddy consistently said it was something wrong with our site not their servers. Finally, the whole server crashed. I has been offline for two days and they are just now getting around to rebuilding the server. Turns out their hardware was faulty. They replaced the CPU and memory. In the interim, we were treated like second class citizens by their first line support people. We are eagerly awaiting our data to be restored so we can move it off of their servers for good.

They take ages to respond. Funny it takes them seconds to register a site, but if you want support??? wow. lol steer clear of godaddy

GoDaddy support - not helpful. They always suggest spending more money to use their web masters to customize your site. A specific question gets the run around with broad based answers that never solves your problem.

I spoke with a Billing representative named Moncef at Go Daddy about this matter and Moncef informed me that I would have to make an additional purchase for this domain product to remove it from the suspended status. He clearly stated that upon the credit card dispute being removed that I would receive a refund for the duplicate domain purchase plus a refund of the $50 admin fee charged by Go Daddy. Now that the credit card dispute has been removed by the bank, Go Daddy is now saying they will not refund the $50 admin fee. I spoke with several billing reps including a supervisor. They asked that I contact the CEO Team for a resolution. Therefore, I contact the CEO Team at [email protected] and explained the information and the situation and they were not willing to provide the refund that their rep had already promised during this domain dilemma. It started back in April and I have had to literally call them every single month to ask about the status of the $50 refund. Please contact Go Daddy at [email protected] if you want someone aside from the billing department or customer service department to address you concerns or questions.

I just finished a conversation with customer support and I felt the person was angry with me before I even started to make my request. He made excuses for not giving me the $5.99 credit explained in the 9/12/12 email from them. I had just renewed my account less than 24 hours prior to receiving the email. I asked for credit now instead of waiting for 364 days until my next renewal date and he said no. He said I could use it now to renew even tough I JUST renewed! He said I should look for discount emails concerning renewal; the credit was for interrupted service NOT renewal but he didn't get it.I wish he had treated me more politely and that he had listened to my reason!

I can not believe that a Company spending Millions on Super Bowl ads did not spend enough to get adequate back up systems so your downtime would be minimal! You are hosting our processing gateway and thousands of our merchants are unable to process credit cards.and are losing sales every minute. There had better be adequate compensation available to us and our customers. Being down for hours is unacceptable!!!

This is the most dishonest and unprofessional company in existance, please be vary careful and research their ratings before using them. I've been using them for 3 years and it's only gotten worse. They will NOT let you stop your subsciption, they continue to invoice you regardless of how many times you speak to customer service. They are a nightmare.
Shame on everyone who works at GoDaddy, you are a disgrace to America.

Do NOT use Go Daddy.com, they are crooks. Once they have your credit card you are doomed. When I called to cancel service, they said "no problem" and continued to invoice me for months. After many phone calls to Go Daddy nothing was resolved, they refused to give back any money or stop subscription. Do not use this company, you will have nothing but head aches, and they have NO customer service.
My only resort to stop billing me is thru VISA. This company should be run out of business.

I am I have been with GoDaddy for 5 years . I have had enough. I am gone. Every time I try to purchase a domain or other service they try to charge me more with adding additional services that I do not want.

GoDaddy Technical Support and Billing Support are the worst I have seen.

Their SMTP forwarders/proxies have been blacklisted for nearly a month and all they say is "we are working on it" and when we ask for credit for non-performance they say cancel the service but we cannot offer any service.

Their Tech support has improved in many ways over the several years I have been dealing with them but they are way subpar; even the simplest of things takes them 24 hours at least and their favourite solution is to reprovision the server even if the problem is on their firewall, gateway, or proxy server.
