I recently purchased majicjack plus. The installation was a bit slow, it took me about an hour and I had to connect with majicjack support on 2 occasions during the installation, but the result was GREAT. My majicjack plus works like a dream. The sounds are clear and crisp, the voice mail was easy to set up and works well. I get a 30 day free trial, first year free and $29.95 a YEAR thereaftetr. I have disconnected my comcast phone and am now saving $540 a year. I totally recommend majicjack plus.

I just called the phone number listed "for billing questions only" and was immediately connected, asked questions regarding the service and got all the answers I needed. No problem for me

I used the Magic Jack online customer service chat today (Feb. 8, 2012), and it was absolutely excellent. My Jack Plus wasn't working (error 3002). The rep came online within five seconds after I hit the live chat button. I gave him my router make and model and operating system, and he stepped me through setting up new ports on the virtual router to fix the problem. This guy really knew what he was doing.

When I called an agent answered very quickly. She assured me that the calls within US and Canada are free for 1 year. Beginning one year from purchase, there will be a fee of $29.95 for another year.

We where having alot of problems yesterday getting a message saying PENDING ACK and we couldnt get any incoming calls. It did take about 2 hours with their online support but they did walk us through every step and the problem is fixed so I can say it was worth it. I do like Magicjack even if the support can take some time

Well i have hsd majic jack 3yrs...two different majic jacks n the majic jack plus. I was able to renew my service with no problem once my service expired. Also i just got off the phone with customer service after being on hold for about 8mins. I LOVE MY MAJIC JACK ANYWAY FOR $20 WHAT DO WE EXPECT. Those of u that are buying the 5yr service DONT JUST GET 1yr.

I had problems renewing my subscription, and read on the web that this is a common problem and may even be a MJ scam, together with testimonials about the terrible support/service. NOT TRUE in my case. Turns out I registered my account with the wrong e-mail address. This was discovered by the MJ agent on a live chat and corrected, after which renewal went fine. Maybe check you input before complaining!

I have contacted by phone and got an answer inmediately and by chat took a little bit longer ( 10 minutes) but I got help. Both ways I got very friendly and helpful people.

I couldn't be happier with MagicJack. It installed easily right out of the box. I even added international minutes and have made international calls with no problems. Calls are clear. Device does exactly what it claims to do. Very simple. $20 a year for phone is incredible. Thank you MagicJack for saving me over $800 this year!!
Just make sure you have a high speed internet connection and meet the minimum computer requirements to run MJ. A slow DSL and an old 8 year old computer won't cut the mustard. I think this is the case with most who complain about MJ.
This device is a piece of cake to run.

My Magicjack plus works right out of the box. There is a small problem. I have one phone number i can not call. But for that it works well. I even ported my old number over to Magicjack. Customer service is trying to fix the problem, will see. For $20 a year, it is well worth it!

I am a Magicjack customer and very happy with their service (including customer service) I have had NO PROBLEM with anything. I guess some people have no patience and that might have caused their troubles. Customer service was polite and helpfull.

It's an awesome product and I am well pleased with it; however, support is way below average. You have to use live chat and it is not very effective. If you can express your problem in a manor they can understand they are very good about resolving the problem; nevertheless, chat is not a good method for resolving technical problems. Usually I have had problems with them understanding my problem. Either way, expect to be on chat for a long time.

I was pretty pissed trying to reach a rep through chat, HOWEVER one I calmed down and actually read what was on the screen in front of me, I got right through to a very helpful chat person.

Here is how you get to chat as quickly as possible:

1. Go to www.magicjack.com
2. Scroll to the bottom and click on Customer Care / Live Agent
3. Click on the box that says get live help in seconds
4. Scroll to the bottom and click the box "To reach a live person 24/7 click here"
5.Toward the top of the page type something in the search field (keep it simple and type the letter "a")and select search
6. Now click Start chat
7. In the required fields type your name and email and language and click start chat
8. Now just wait for an available agent.

Once you get an agent they are very helpful

The site is set up for self help and the reason being is because when you sell a product for $40 and that is all you get for one person for a whole year, you cannot afford to hire 10,000 reps like AT&T and Verizon....so keep that in mind

hello you all.. look let me tell you all something about magic jack... this gadget is the best thing ever.... it makes phone calls really really cheap no matter if you call a cell or a landline phone.... the thing is that you all american don't appreciate that because phone call in the states are really cheap also... but listen to this ...if you all lived over seas AND YOU HAD TO PAY OVER 1 DOLLAR AND 50 CENTS POR MINUTE TO CALL A LANDLINE PHONE..... OR 2 DOLLARS A MINUTE TO CALL A CELL PHONE... YOU AMERICANS YOU APPRECIATE MAGIC JACK A LOT MORE... NOW YOU COMPARE THAT TO 20 DOLLARS A YEAR WITH MAGIC JACK............................... you people aer morons. the product works and does everything it advertizes. you are upset because not because the service doesn't work, but rather that it works so well you would like the PLUS service but dont want to pay for it, or you want a year free...just because you bought the cheaper package because you cannot afford the PLUS. That is a ridiculous position, and as a consumer advocate for 33 years i can tell you the customer service you have copied on here is very professional and vaery proper. You are not. So do not blame magicJack, blame yourself.

Read all the return info for MagicJack+ and got a full refund extremely fast. Followed the instructions on the email confirmation of purchase from MagicJack+.
It tells you when returning an item do not cover the small bar code under the MagicJack+ address. I also put a print out of the conformation in a baggie and taped to the back of the original packaging. Return shipping is free but I paid $3 for delivery conformation. $44.96 was returned to my account two days after they received the package.

I have used the online support live chat twice to resolve problems and had complete success. Each time I was online for quite a long time with them as the problems were more complicated than should be; but each time they came up with a solution that suited them and me. I find them very easy to deal with and do not understand all of the complaints.

I had a short wait on hold. My questions were answered. Lets see if they were correct. I am waiting for my new device to arrive. I will update when I get the device and try to activate the new one and still keep the old one active. Wish me luck.

I am in my 2nd year using MagicJack. Excellent product. Can't beat the price. Hardly ever a problem, and when there is one, it's minor. For example, if the electric goes out and the computer reboots when the electric comes back on, MagicJack can't auto log me on.So all I have to do is connect it to a different USB port - and voila, problem solved! So simple.

I read in the negative comments those who complain MJ has no number to call....yet there are other posts who complain that when they call their number (!!!) there is no answer or it's busy or they get no help. Hmmmm....they have no number, but they do have a number!!! How about that!
Makes you question why they are lying in their posts......

The product is frustrating to use, and the customer service is difficult to reach. However, I eventually reached Abigail, who was very helpful, and knew how to deal with a couple of problems I've had, so I very much appreciated his/her assistance.

I'm a proud majicjack owner and obviousvly you all have major issues: attitude and intellectual because this is NOT Rocket Science and it is so easy my two year old was shown how to install it and duplicated it and worked successfully with NO problems. Oh, yes, it helps if you know what you're doing. Finally, if all else fails, read the instructions.

i was on live chat a little while ago and got all my answers and they said if i need more help call 1-800-649-1271. i have not tried this number yet as all my questions were answered live chat on net. hope this helps someone.

I've had Magicjack for over a year now, and I use it as my only telephone. It's reliable - every great once in a while if I'm talking for 25 minutes or so it will drop the call, but no problem, I just redial. Happens so rarely.
Other than that, calls are clear, as clear as when I had my phone thru my cable ISP provider. And I call overseas with no problem whatsover.
I would recommend this to anyone. Just make sure you have a fast enough connection and computer to use Magicjack correctly.
