I think I am like many other loyal Maytag owners previous long history users. My family has used a number of Maytag machine over the years.
We run a small boutique hotel on Galveston Island.
In our last series of washers , they were the Grade commercial grade and worked flawless less every day 7 days a week without a single repair .
Having just purchase a new commercial grade high capacity washer , I am very disappointed . The machine is continually out of round, in its first year needed extensive repair which was a very lengthy parts and repair ordering process out of Houston.

The machine when is was working with load sensing water ltechnology barely added enough water to properly clean loads.

Our guest experience is everything and this new machine constantly let our down in the first year.

After 30 year multiple machines I am starting to re- think new brands as in our business the down time and extra costs for doing laundry out of house could have paid for a new machine in a week

I was hesitant to give up my old Maytag because it never let us down .
New machine are a different matter.

With all the new engineering and technology , I just wonder how so much effort, knowledge and tech can go into making such a bad and unreliable new product

Purchased fridge in Aug28 stopped working in 14 months lost all my food
Service man came said it would cost $900 for parts and labour which I refused to pay and a non authorized appl repair man came said there was a Freon leak that needed an evaporator and filter and added Freon that lasted one year and the fridge is now gone dead and I lost all my food again
Maytag need to have a class action lawsuit for false advertising stating with good care a fridge should last 10 years which needs to be changed to 10 months
I AM ADVISING ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO NEVER PURCHASE ANY MAYTAG ROTTEN JUNK

1. Bought our washer 8 months ago and this is the SECOND TIME it broke. Financed this Washer, still paying on it and warranty is almost up (12 months covered). I received a bill to get the extended warranty "due to the recent issues". Hmm, it's 8 months old I SHOULD NOT HAVE ANY ISSUES!! (Already don't want this machine)
2. First time it broke an error code came up, I called into the company and they had the part ordered just by my description, before anyone came to look at it (first red flag); it broke 2 months later,same error code, when I called I was given a a month out time frame before anyone can come out.I said that was a ridiculous time frame, so I was magically told someone can come in a few days (another red flag). Sure enough I got a text saying my appt was canceled. I called the number given to make yet another appt and was told this is a known problem with Whirlpool/maytag. That they schedule appts when there is no openings. (Red flags everywhere). I then received the part for this Washer(that still hasn't been looked at) and I'm waiting on the repair man.
I want a new washer! It was over $800, because that's all Home Depot had at the time, which is a crazy high price for a washer, no lead one that has broken 2x in the 8 months we've had it. Awful awful company. Do better, make this right!! I will be emailing the company and attaching thisreview/ complaint.

I wanted to contact Maytag Corporate office to share that my husband and I moved into our home in 1984. A dear older couple had lived there and passed away. In the kitchen was a model A510 series 01 Maytag washer and dryer. They have operated flawlessly over the last 40 years with only 1-2 minor issues (i.e. replacing a lint screen). Just now the washing machine has developed a minor leak and a repairman suspects a seal in the drum may be the cause. We will be replacing them soon with great sadness. I wish I could get the washer repaired. They are important members of our family and they have served us so well. I just want to pay tribute to the quality of these fine appliances in days gone by and wish the same workmanship and quality were available today.

Just over 2 years ago I purchased a Maytag fridge, stove, dishwasher and washing machine. So far the dishwasher has required warranty covered repairs twice, and has been out of service for over two months while waiting for parts. The Stove oven door has also required repairs twice, fortunately also covered by warranty - but with two weeks out of service both times. The washing machine also broke down (electronics panel), but it was not covered under warranty. Repair was estimated to be approximately 60% of the cost of a new machine. Maytag offered me a "special incentive warranty price" if I bought a new machine. The warranty price they offered me was 120% of the price offered to new customers. That's 20% more than anyone else who bought the same machine! My wife and I are retired, and all of these appliances have been very gently used. Maytag is junk!

First time buying a Maytag washer and dryer and since I bought it the dryer has been making a crazy amount of noise called Maytag they sent 5 people to check it out and every time somehow nothing is wrong even though you have to close the door to the laundry room to even has a conversation in the next room and at this point they are telling me that nothing can be done and if they send out another person I got to pay for it crazy never buying one again worst service I have experienced.

We purchased a Maytag top freezer fridge less than 4 years ago, coolant leak, fridge no longer working or under warranty. Very disappointed with this product and the lousy service we experienced. Could not reach anyone by phone and the chat option never seems to know what is going on, although they are friendly. Should not have to buy a new fridge so soon. Will not buy a Maytag product ever again.

I have a 4 month old dishwasher which I have not been able to use for the last month. I contacted Maytag 4 times , had 1 talk with the repair person nearly 4 weeks ago and nothing since. Maytag has told me the last 2 times the part is available at supply stores but my repair person hasn't received my part yet. This was over 2 weeks ago. Talked to them again today and they were very abrupt with me. I would like my dishwasher replaced or repaired They wouldn't even extend my warranty by another month.

I bought my Maytag Washer 5/20. It is three yrs old and I have replaced the lid 6 times because the lid cracks from the hinges, I cannot afford not to have the extended warranty that went from 3yrs 159,00 to nearly 400!
My last Maytag!!!

I am sorry to say that the washing machine I bought about 1 yr ago has been nothing but a big disappointment. The speed of the agitation is horrible. I spent 800.00 on a machine I can not stand. I am 80 yrs Old and have never been disappointed in any Maytag or whirlepool until now. I still have to go to the laundromat to wash my king size bed spread because it leaves soap scum on the spread. I have well water and am scared my well go dry to keep washing 2 times and sometimes that does not help. Lowe's will not take it back. Sometimes I think the clothes would come just as clean in the creek behind my house and a scrub board.??. PLEASE BRING BACK OLD MACHINES. I did love your product.

Bought a Maytag washer 2 months ago .From day one not enough water over the clothes to be washed.Detergent is on the clothes after the washed is done .I don't know if Lowe's will take it back calling tomorrow why is a lot of people having issues with Maytag?

I bought a Maytag washer 2 years ago . We are a two people household and I only wash on the weekends. The board went out and the cost was 380.00 to replace and the warranty was expired. Maytag would not help at all. They are a terrible company and please check out what brand you buy . The repairman we had look at the washer says these are junk but people think they are good because they say 10 year warranty on the lid for basket and motor but those never usually go out. Maytag you sick and Shame on you for selling junk to hard working middle class.

Brely Two year old top loader and technician says it would be cheaper to buy a new one. This model is reported by many to have issues. sad. No more Maytag for us

I have a Maytag washer that's probably five years old and in the last six months I've had to replace a plastic hub underneath the agitator because it keeps wearing out I do not put excessive clothes in there cost me $30 for the part and 100 and something dollars to have the man come out to fix it do not buy Maytag products they are junk

I bought my dishwasher machine only 2 months ago, and it does not work , I called already 4 times to specialist since it is under 1 year warranty , they changed me computer, it does not work, now they ordered another computer and a pump, so far I will get refurbished machine, but I paid like for a new, Maytag does not want to change it to new machine or return money back, also the store CAS does not want to hear any complaints, so far I am without machine and without money , very bad customer service, never will buy Maytag , and only at Costco I will by appliances, no any other store, because only Costco really helps with a problems

I am sitting on phone for over 20 minutes to speak to someone in customer service at your corporate office - after experiencing unsatisfactory service from your local agent.
I bought a new Maytag washing machine less than 4 years ago. The extended warranty ran out in November. The machine just died last week - a service person came out today and said one of the board's in the machine is not "talking" to the other board. No explanation for why this would happen. Estimated repair coast $700.00. This is ridiculous for a machine that i have had for such a short period of time.
And of course the board is not covered by the warranty....I will never buy another whirlpool or Maytag item again, and will be flooding my social media account with this story and ask if other people have had similar problems - and to do more efficient research before purchasing your products.

4 year old Maytag over the range microwave blew out. Replaced bulb, now light will not turn off. 100% of all my investigation on this issue points to replacing the control board ($278.00) to fix. For a blown lightbulb? Not one of three customer service options I attempted function. With all th
e complaints i have read about Maytag products, aclass action suit should be initiated. In
truth, Maytag should be ashamed to be operating in the U.S. or anywhere.

1/18/2023- I've had my brand new Maytag washer for 10 days. Guess what...won't drain. I am now at the mercy of a technician and their schedule for when they can service the problem. BRAND NEW. 10 DAYS OLD. PLEASE PLEASE do yourself a favor...STAY AWAY FROM MAYTAG! 1 hour on hold for someone to speak to me from Maytag. All those good reviews you see from Maytag when looking at Home Depot or Lowes or any of the big box stores that carry Maytag...they MUST be fake. DO NOT FALL FOR THE REVIEWS!!!

First of all the commercial about the Maytag service where he waiting for a service call is totally misleading I waited 3 hours to speak with someone just to find out that I didn't have a service provider in my area to diagnose the problem. I live in a rural area . At this point I believe Maytag should provide me with a new washer at no cost. I have spent at least 150 at laundry mats in the last 3 weeks just to wash.

We purchased a new washer dryer combo from Maytag/whirlpools website. The dryer was delivered with a dent in the side and does not work and the delivery crew from JB Hunt went ahead and set it up even though it was dented. We did not notice it as they were doing the iInstallation, they also neglected to hook up the steam kit on the dryer. As we use the dryer we noticed That it would not dry our clothes and was not working properly. When JB Hunt final mile came back to connect the steam kit this new team noticed the dent in the side when we told him it wouldn't dry and he said it was delivered damaged and is not going to work. He took pictures and sent a report to his boss and told us to contact whirlpool/Maytag. So after 30 minutes waiting on the phone Whirlpool seems to think this is a warranty issue and they want to send a tech out to see if it can be repaired and make us wait until January 25, 2023. I explained there's a dent in the side and I will not accept a new appliance fixer not with a dent and it's brand new just delivered at the end of December. They still made me stick to this appointment and expect me to have no dryer until the tech comes out to document it and then order a new dryer so we're talking over a month with no dryer. This is totally unacceptable I am probably going to just return both washer and dryer and never deal with Maytag again! Beware their customers Service is slow and horrible and unacceptable. Do not buy products from this company do not let them plan any warranty or any delivery for you and as for JB Hunt final mile they should've noticed it was damage and never hooked it up in the first place.

Less then two month Later the Washing Machine broke down so I called the Warranty line and they sent VIA Services to have it repaired on 9/16/22 (Job# 623310) because the water pump was cracked
On December 1st the machine stopped working again and a technician from VIA Services arrived on December 6th, the Washing Machine again broke down this time due to a defective wiring harness and a control board (Job 644031). It is now over a month later I am still waiting for the parts to repair the machine. This is costing me $35 a week (Over $200 so far!) to go to the Laundromat when I have a brand-new washer at home!

Please do not buy Maytag products!!!. Customer service is horribleeee!!!!!!. I had waited for almost 2hrs to talk to someone about my Maytag dishwasher. No luck! Costco should not carry Maytag products. I will leave a comment on the Costco website about Maytag products. The warranty sticker on the appliances is a joke.

Do not purchase a Maytag dishwasher!!! We have had 2 service calls within 15 months and are now told the motor is out, which will be $441. I probably would have done this, just for the sake of convenience, but it is out of stock. After attempting to talk to a customer service representative, and being on hold for over TWO hours, we have given up. This appliance is not made to last and apparently customer service is nonexistent. I'm very disappointed in this appliance and this company. AVOID MAYTAG AT ALL COSTS!!!!
