First of all, try finding the answers to your questions on mozillaZine.org. If you can't find it, post a question. Inadequate documentation is the curse of free software. Why aren't any tech writers or people training to be tech writers contributing some time?

Secondly, I cannot afford FF 4. It's way too expensive. FF is still supporting a 10-year old Windows operating system, but not a 5 year old Mac operating system. Upgrading would require new hardware, which I cannot afford at this time. It would entail creating unnecessary e-waste. (I have Tiger.)

1.I am sending a letter on this issue to Mozilla Foundation Management at Mountain View, CA. 2.Complaint: On main menu line under File you used to have two specific menu options in the drop down under File -- "Close Window" and "Close Tab"; both are still very much needed. A person was able to easily skip back one site or a portion of a site. If a person accidentally hit Close Window instead of Close tab, a warning came up advising against closing multiple tabs thus giving a person the opportunity to do what the person intended, "Close Tab". You think the way it is now with the highlighted white box with an "x" takes care of that issue but it does not. Not all sites put the "x" there and the back arrow is shaded out so it will not function. Please fix this issue.

Incidentally, I am afraid to download latest versions of Firefox for all the XX Multiple XX problems you have had in past 1 1/2 years.

Please tell me how to rate this experience with Mozilla when you absolutely make it so awesomely clear that you do not really want any contact with any user; you go to extreme extent to insure that it is so much hassle to contact you that no one will go to the trouble.

YOU DO NOT WANT RATINGS ON IMPORTANT ISSUES. I SERIOUSLY DOUBT THAT ANYTHING I HAVE HAD TO SAY HERE AND IN MY LETTER TO MOZILLA FOUNDATION AT MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA WILL GET ANY SERIOUS CONSIDERATION.

Respectfully,

Robert C. Paul

I got a notice that a new version was out and it automatically downloaded. The only problem is that the new version doesn't work on my Mac. Now Firefox doesn't work at all.

Mozilla doesn't have al telephone number or e-mail I can address. I frankly have no idea what to do now.

Thank God I kept my copy of Safari.

I am going to delete Firefox altogether unless I can find an older archived version.

Hell will freeze over before I pay Firefox $38 in order to get their system to work again. I'll just go back to another system. Just another rip-off!

I have been using Mozilla for more than two years and have been very happy with it... a few days ago something changed on the screen and I can no longer access history, copy/paste, tools, etc. I have written to ask for help but was told it would cost me $29 so, unless something can be done to help me without that, I guess I will need to change browsers.

I am sick to my stomach over Firefox 5.0!! This piece of trash browser crashes so often I am switching to Safari so that I can use the internet and that make me want to puke!! I have always been a loyal Firefox user but they seem to have completely given up on quality and now they are going the same route as all small companies that had something once but got too big and now they are garbage!! I mean every other page I visit crashes to the desktop with a stupid error box asking if you want to send data to Firefox. Why?? So they can enjoy the damage they have done to a superb browser?? I have tried asking questions on their practically useless support site but I have no faith in a company with no phone support so I guess I am a Safari user now!! Go die Mozilla!!!!

ridiculous not to offer live support. I can't believe that a company of your size would think your users would be fine with the rinky-dink support of volunteers on a live chat on the other side of the country from us easterners. I cannot print from firefox and guess I will soon be switching to another service back to IE.

$38 dollars to get an answer that may or may not work? No way

I have used FF for years as primary browser. Versions 4 & 5 are terrible. I have a company e-mail account hosted by Google and a personal e-mail account with Google. Before the "upgrades" I coule easily switch from one to the other. Now all FF will bring up is the company account. It offers the option to process personal acct thru company acct. You are going to force me back to IE. Also no phone numbers for FF. What are you afraid of? If this and other problems are not fixed quickly, I'll say goodbye to FF.

I've been on live support now for Firefox 4 in their live chat for over 40 minutes to find out why I cannot print web pages via Firefox. So far we have established that I am using an HP printer and that we are chatting via Firefox.

I upgraded to Mozilla 4, but don't like as much as the previous version. They removed certain features from the previous version of Mozilla that made so easy and useful. I wish I could uninstall Mozilla 4 and go back to Mozilla 3.6, but I can't.
I might just start using Google Chrome, it pretty much works the way Mozilla 3.6 did.

I recently downloaded Firefox 4, the latest version. I don't like it at all! It is much harder to use. You removed the recent pages arrow that made it so much easier to return to previous pages than using the back arrow. Why would you do that??? The tabs are a pain and very hard to see. I wish I could go back to an older version. You need to make some changes. This is not user-friendly.

Support from Modzilla Firefox is HORRIBLE!! Not being able to talk with a human being is ROTTEN customer service. I downloaded the new version of Firefox and HATE IT. I am restoring my computer to a previous date and getting rid of this complex piece of junk. 4.0 is JUNK. I hate it. I want to back out of it and bring back the old version. There is no home button, the bookmarks are a hassle to get to now. YOU HAVE MADE A HUGE STEP BACKWARD. I used to love Modzilla Firefox...I now detest it.
