I called Netspend customer care to inquire about an overdraft fee. They told me it was because Apple Pay charged me for 5.00. I told the customer care rep I wanted an investigation because I don't know why Apple changed me five dollars. The rep had a very heavy accident and he was talking fast, on top of that the connection was bad. I kept asking the rep to slow down and repeat what he said. He said he had to CANCEL MY card! To make a long story short.... I told him never mind I needed my money to PAY on my HOUSE because it's in FORECLOSURE and I had to pay my bill on time. I told the rep I do not have time to wait for a REPLACEMENT CARD to come in the mail. I told the rep never mind, I can call Apple myself to find out why they are charging me and DON'T CANCEL my card. He said I could not do that and my card had to be CANCELED and I would have to wait for a replacement card in the mail. I asked to speak to a supervisor. After being on the phone with the rep and supervisor for more than a hour they dropped the phone call and canceled my card anyways. I am sooo upset and frustrated!! I am the customer and I should be listened to )o: This incident happened on 5/10/2021 around 2:30,EST

Hello, I have had a netspend acct for almost 20yrs. Recently I had attempts of fraudulent charges to my acct. (4/10/20)They froze my online access. Contacted customer service they stated they needed document to verify my ID. I emailed them pics of documents. Then by Monday (4/12/20) called customer service they stated that all my accts were closed ( I had 3) and they are sending me a chk for balances and I cannot open a new acct. My SSI payments and unemployment funds were going into the visa premiere acct. Im partially disabled cannot get about that good. I asked to speak with someone who has the authority to remedy this situation and was told i cannot talk to anyone cause they cannot reverse the decision.I live in Ny where we are considered a Hotspot for from the covid virus. I would appreciate your assistance in th matterdecision. Thank you

Netspend put a hold on my card when i reach out to them they told mebi owe $1.50. And i have to pay it off. Mind you this card iam using is a total different avcount when ask to speak to a supervisor she ask me why. Nect here comes someone sound just like her told. Me i have 2card and. I have to over draft for $400.. This is ridiculous .i am making sure Netspend. Will be out off business. Everyone. Who is going through this lets join force start off with beter business bureau.

Disgraceful company. They accepted Stimulus check from IRS, then denied me access to my own money. Then they wanted me to send my personal info to them ( drivers license, social security number and another form of address verification). I live in Washington D.C.. Then when I refused,they said I would have to close the account. I said Cool, send the check back to the IRS. I was then told, they could not do that but could refund my money. Send me a check minus a $15 processing fee. That's bullcrap. Now I'm contacting the IRS about this.

My friend western union me 100.00. it was reportedly supposed to be there yesterday ...It is not there and the customer service reps are ill trained and incompetent...they refuse to let me speak with a supervisor....they lied about the transaction, as WU sent me the transaction confirmation number, the tracking number and checked thoroughly that is was accepted at netspend....where is my money and you will definitely lose a customer if this is not resolved asap....stealing during a pandemic is wrong and illegal...and hire people who can do the job and speak english well

And Once again!! you put another security Hold on my card, I have BILLS coming out of it, and Now your not gonna pay my bills with MY MONEY, return my bill, and get socked with late fees and reported to a credit agency. I lost my card. I paid $25 to express mail a replacement card. The representative told me it would take 2 business days to receive the card. Due to severe weather my card was mailed to me but I received it 8 days later. When I asked for them to refund my $25 they told me that they could cancel the express mailed card and mail me yet another card that would take another 10 business days....obviously I did not accept that offer because it would mean I would need to wait longer for access to my funds. I call back to see if I purchase another NetSpend card if they could transfer the funds from my current account to a newly purchased NetSpend account they told me I could. I go out spend $24 to buy a new NetSpend card I called back to activate my new card only for them to tell me that I was not able to activate the card I just bought and then that they would refund me my money and charged me $5.95 for a car that they told me to get. Thank God as I was on this call FedEx came with my replacement card the representative told me they would refund all of my money just the $20 not the $4 I spent to buy the card and send it to me in a check all this running around for nothing I'm not blaming the representatives I'm blaming corporate I'm blaming the guidelines that they have in place for these representatives to have to share with their customer which makes absolutely no sense I've been in NetSpend customer for over 15 years and they have made more than enough money on me based on fees they have charged me I have a PNC account I am just going to move all of my money to PNC and just wait for my paycheck to come when it comes the only reason I chose NetSpend is because I got my paycheck early but after all of this run around after all of this money wasted I will never ever ever buy a NetSpend card again this was a horrible experience and I pray corporate is reading this so they can look at my account specifically and they can make changes and not put anybody else through this mess!

Netspend you have no right to keep my money. Simply by just anyone calling saying that they're money was taken out of thier netspend card and gives information on where it is getting used and your on the phone with netspend while its being done and its from a 3rd world country and you live in Texas and they still let it happen is just plain simple that themselves are thieves to ..shame on all the netspend employees

this company is not just a joke but a bunch of liers, and theaves, I have refunds that they will not release to me telling me they have to file a dispute, no they don't I have never had to file a dispute before they hold on to the money and only release it when they feel like it, and when they release it they put a security hold on your account and you have to call them to explain why you got the refunds, This is My money Not theirs I don't have to explain anything. I ask to talk to a supervisor and I'm put on hold forever and then hung up on, customer service is very Rude yes I got rude right back at the names of all 3 customer service reps are a Brian, unknown where I was calling too, 2nd Gen again unknown where I was calling too and a Sophie unknow where I was calling too. NetSpend has my money and will not release it. making my account to be in the red. Not happy!!! funny they received 1 refund and released it but will not give me the rest. I will be going to another company.

Netspend did the same to me. They locked my account an told me to submit documents to state where I live, and to prove where I live. I sent them every thing they asked for, and they still will not give me my money.!! I got in touch with the bureau of consumer protection. I found out that they were sued for 10.million dollars.? You cannot withhold someone's money. I have bills to pay. Next I am going to try to get some attention from the public and let them know what is going on Grand Prairie legal lawyers will help. Don't just sit and let this happen.! Get some legal help if you can. They need to know they cannot do this.!! I am so ashamed of them.!

Seriously something is going on with netspend and it is got to be fraud or pirates. Theyve lockes my account and will not unlock even after I provided everything possible to prove my identity and some extra documents to make sure their was no way my identity could not be verified. They charged me monthly fees for a locked account I could not use, I couldnt spend my money I couldnt access it I couldnt get it send to another account yet they kept taking money out of my account whenever they pleased how can they spend my money and transfer it and even touch my funds when I was not even able to....I spent up to 8 hours a day on the phone on hold and when I got a service person to talk to they'd find a way to hang up on me they did this every time. They also just put me onhold with out telling me and left me on hold for two hours....and still did not answer. They said it was suspicious activity is why they locked the account there was no SUSPICIOS activity I had needed to check my balance one day and my phone was dead so I tried to use a friends phone device to log on netspend thru the web browser and because I used my friends phone because my phone was dead and needing to be charged they locked my account....I called on Dec 10th my account was locked five days before today is january 6th
....they charged me monthly fees and I didnt even have access to my account for the month to charge me for monthly fees. I want my money back they took out of my account when it was locked because how can they spend my money but I can't amd they will not unlock my account they sent me a email saying they are going to close my account...I had called a few times and one time my info was not found. Ive spent the past MONTH trying to get my account unlocked and they will not unlock my account I sent them more than enough documents to PROVE THATS I AM WHO I SAY I AM AND THAT WAS MY ACCOUNT...I'm livid.....they had no right to do all this...then hang up on me every time for a month are u mf kidding me this is wrong along with mental customer service ppl who do rude things like lie hang up on you, mute you and will not respond or help you...... Ive been a loyal card holder of netspend for years and for them to treat me so wrong I am emotional highly and offended about this all.....I wantBKQT something done

The way NetSpend has been treating it's customers lately has been pathetic. I have used NetSpend for years now and receive all my money on my account and uae it for everything. It's been a week and a half since my card was cancelled due to unfamiliar transactions and the woman told me I'd have my card in 24-48 hrs as courtesy and it's been as I said 1 week and a half. I have contacted customer service so many times and for a week now they won't answer and are saying they are busy on their machine and hanging up. I have wrote them twice have not received a response. I waited a week and half for a card I was told I'd get in 24-48 hours and can't even get through to someone for a week now?????? I did what they suggested on the recording and wrote them TWICE also no response. This has gotten to the point I had to western union money to be able to do anything and I want the fees reimbursed. It is not ok what they are doing and not allowing anyone to even contact them. Just had to pay to order a card to come in 24-48 hrs since it's not come and I need to be reimbursed for that fee. I looked up corporate and you guys say hit 1 to leave a general message than hang up when I hit 1. You can't expect people to trust in you to have accounts and money of ours and make it impossible to get through or even get a darn card. No regular bank would ever do this and neither should you guys.

NetSpend lock my account for no reason me and my daughter was stuck out in the freezing cold for 2 days thank God the state police helped us get a hotel room for Thursday my card was fine I called just to get information on how to transfer money your representative said she would do it for me see ended up cancel sending a fraud alert on my account because she did not know what she was doing on top of being in the cold for 2 days we both had covid-19 because of you guys I've been calling for two days this makes three days all day long for you guys just to hang up on me when you tell me you're transferring me we are still stuck a hundred miles away from home I cannot get access to my money we have covid-19 this is so outrageous it's unreal honestly you have endangering the welfare of a child not counting holding my money and stealing it neglect of a child all I'm asking for is enough out of my account to get home it's my money I should at least be able to get home I'm supposed to be quarantine instead I'm on the street trying to get hotel rooms with covid-19 there's a horrible situation trying my hardest to not infect other people do you realize I am supposed to be quarantined and I can't because of you guys holding my money every person that would that would contract covid-19 from me and my daughter you are to blame I file a state police report for endangering the welfare of a child I will sue if I don't have my money in the next day

This company sent me a debit card at an address given for a covid test at CVS Pharmacy. This card was never requested. The customer service number does not allow anyone to speak to a representative. The corporate number does not allow anyone to speak to a person or even leave a message, although it is an option given. The number disconnected when I pressed 1 to leave a message. I refuse to give my social security number as was requested on the customer service number. I am writing a letter to the corporate office. And want to be assured that my credit score & identity are not affected by CVS giving out my social.

This company is a joke. My daughter started college this year. When so much is happening during this pandemic my daugjter had a school refund deposited onto her netspend card in the amount of 4319.00. She noticed on her second or third purchase her card was locked and she was told that someone was trying to get into her account. She has been getting the run around since $eptember. They first wanted a picture identification, so we sent that. Then they said they needed a indemnity form from her college which her college said they never heard of! Its been months now and she she still has not recieved her funds. We have tried to called the bank that is affiliated with netspend, however the account has been closed and you cant get anyone on the phone. It's sad that this comp@ny can just take people money and nothing can be done.about it! Reading all these complaints lets me know I am not alone. Its surprising that I am not alone in this matter. I hope something can be done and everyone that has lost money dealing with this company can get their money back.

This company is ridiculous it's been since November 22 that o have called fir a refund because nowhere on your car does it say you have to be 18 years old to activate it. So my daughter activated the card under her name and then they froze the card with money on it and now it has taken me from that date and three phone calls to your company to try and get a refund and we still can't get a refund. Then I asked to talk to someone at corporate and they said you can't talk to nobody and corporate. Your company sucks you need to get everything straight and I want an answer as to why I cannot get my refund back of $120 that you already have you locked the card so we can't use it you have not issued me the second check that I called on the 16th for and now they're telling me that I have to wait for them to investigate it again and send a check your company is pour

I am so glad I found this cite. I notices someone requested that we file a class action lawsuit. IM ALL FOR IT!

On Nov 23, someone hacked into my account and stole $4000. I had anytime alerts and immediately called the bank to dispute and cancel that card. The hacker made an OTC transaction in Fairfax, VA. (I live in AR and dont know anyone in VA.) I filed a police report. I was told that I did not need to cancel the account just order a new card. I received my provisional credit and my new card arrived.

On Dec 5, I was at work and tried to buy food. My card declined althouh I knew I had money in my account. I tried to call to check my balance but my pin did not work. I tried to log on to online banking and my password did not work. After calling netspend, I found out the hacker got back in and stole almost $12,000. He had changed my anytime alerts to a fake email, which I why I did not know immediately and transferred my savings to my checkings to get it ALL. These transactions were in FL.when I called netspend to dispute, I could only dispute the posted transactions, which was $1800 of the $12000. The other $9000, I had to wait until Monday when they posted.
I received the $1800 after 2 weeks and was supposed to receive the other 9k this Monday. After I didnt receive it, I called netspend and was told they dispute team will not be refunding me because the phone number that activated the card that was used was my number. So basically, they are saying it was me that authorized the transactions or I took it out myself. (I am registered nurse obtaining my doctorates in anesthesia, so I am in no way needing to steal money and catch a felony, destroying my career.)

I got paid yesterday from my job, they wont let me take that money out of that account so I can close it, although the hacker could go back in and steal that money too. Ive called a few times to speak with a rep. Its never anyone with proper English. I cant go Christmas shopping for my kids, its a pandemic, and I dont have access to my money and rhey are keeping the money they owe me, although I have police reports AND can prove i was at work and do not live or have traveled ro Florida. Every time I call, its a long wait and they run me around in circles and wont let me speak with anyone from the dispute team.

So yeah, PLEASE keep me informed about this class action lawsuit. This is the most umprofessional, unempathetic company Ive ever banked with and I cant wait to close these accounts!

It will be spread all over social media internet dstc and upcoming lawsuit. November 12th NetSpend Corporation unexpectedly canceled and locked me out of my bank accounts. Go to Sears without warning in the middle of winter in Colorado. Practically calling a multiple line to fight a human being that works for the company that I may talk to you at 2 in the afternoon. After a short and brief 59 minute weight finally got through to a person who didn't speak in English. Finally after 35 minutes through his head that I needed to talk to a supervisor or somebody that can speak English I was transferred for another 45 minute wait. At this point he told me that my accounts were closed due to suspicious activity apparently ordering a new card because you lost your old one is frowned upon within NetSpend Corporation. This all happened within the midst of the pandemic Breakout I was in the midst of losing my home as it was Thanksgiving to top it off. I called every day from November 12th to the present time today December 22nd. 15 to 35 phone calls a day over a month. They consistently told me that within 7 to 10 business days I would have a check in the mail that was over a month and a half ago every single day today I called no check was ever sent to my address. Consistent lies of the employees working behind the customer service it's something that I've never seen before in my entire life absolute shock the like they would go through just not answer my question 3 weeks ago I started on this new line of bushes stating they can MoneyGram be the money finally somebody with a brain all I had to do was wait 48 hours general manager contact me verify my money 48 hours tops that was three goddamn weeks ago every single day I called 14 times a day. every single day they told me 48 Hours somebody will contact me. That was a week ago. This is illegal netspend has been sued multiple times from the FTC FOR THIS just to remind you america. Finally last night was my last straw I contacted young lady that works there the young lady that I was transferred to in the morning hours approximately 11 a.m. the only manager that I spoke to you that morning and this is the situation that she put me into now I am homeless because of this s*** I was not able to pay my bills i slept outside for an entire week because I had no deposit. No way to get my money I pleaded with her on the phone multiple times please do not send check please please please MoneyGram me my money please of course she said of course you'll be expecting a phone call this afternoon by whatever general managers to set up your MoneyGram deposit is going to kill me I'm going to starve to death tonight pass away tonight because of hypothermia I have no money for Christmas for my child. So afternoon time now it gets dark still no phone call so SC through another Francis hour-and-a-half wait to speak to a human being who doesn't speak English just find out definitely on the lady that was talk to you at 11 a.m. surprisingly he said she doesn't exist is it possible for me to speak to anybody after getting through to another manager last night he said oh yes we have it all taken care of from you they told me my money was put on a goddamn check and sent in the mailTHE CHECK WAS SENT IN THE GAWD DAM MAILAL ARE YOU FING SERIOUS. 7 TO 10 BUSINESSES DAYS WTF IT SHOULD ARIVE SHE SAID 7 TO TEN BUSINESS DAYS

I have talked to at least 20 different people about my fraud case. Have sent documentation proving that I am the purchaser. However they go ahead and send the refund check to a scam artist. Still calling them to get my refund check. This is crap and this company is crap.

I filed a dispute they turn around and told me that there was no error found I don't see how they can figure that out when I ordered a motor and got face mask instead they told me the money would be put back on my account that was four months ago now I'm looking to open the lawsuit and Sue the f*** out of them that's been network chat I've been with them for 25 years then worth a fuking nickel now

Netspend let a lowlife theif obtain a card with my social and birthdate and let them access my account and steal my money they failed to do identity verification and let them take 2800. I am now homeless with my kid they have totaled 750k alone just last yet they embezzles and I am pressing charges on every last on of then
