Hi got the 4 slice Smeg toaster and kettle for my Birthday about 2 and a half years ago. From Bing Lee. Lovely pale blue ones. Took my husband ages to save up for the both. Quite expensive. Only used toaster maybe 2 times a week on weekens as both work. Kettle every day. So maybe 4 or 5 months ago toaster only toasts 1 side of each bread. Didn't really want to whnge but I think for the money they should last longer. I was soooo disheartened and sad as I waited so long to get them. Should have stuck to the cheaper brand. They outlast these big brand names. ??

If there is any customer service, I can't find it. My $200 Smeg coffee maker doesn't work. It's a year and a half old. There are no instructions in the owner's manual or service contact.

We purchased a smeg kettle last July, 2019, sadly, a month over 12 months warranty.
it can not turned on the power ,called smeg customer support ,the guy asked is it still under warrty ,if not then no parts available for this product.goodbye.
next time buy japanese products.

I purchased a dishwasher - granted it was approx 5 yr ago. I have an extended warranty. I was also advised by shop assistant not to buy as she had complaint from another customer saying dishes fell over and would break. I should have taken notice as the same happened to me. I did complain at time and was told Italian dinner plates are smaller and therefore wasnt a problem!!! I was informed smeg had modified the basket (which has always been a nightmare) and I still get broken dishes. Do you have different baskets now. I hardly use the dishwasher as it frustrates me so much. Please advise

The door latch on our Smeg microwave oven malfunctioned around September 2019. I called Smeg and was advised to use an authorised service agent which I did. A technician opened the door to find that the latch had broken, and said they would order a new part. Already about $150 in costs.
I followed up with the service agents who advised that the part could take 6 to 12 weeks to obtain, as Smeg Australia had none in stock. I felt this was rather poor service, as a part should have been in stock, and the longest it should take to get from Italy or another country should be about 10 days.
Nearly 5 months later I am still waiting. Smeg Australia say they have tried to source the part and cannot advise when it will arrive.
Pathetic.
When we built our home we chose Smeg for all the appliances as we were advised it was top quality.
I am mow sending a letter to Smeg Italy.

The lady in customer service department is absolutely disgusting has a foul attitude and should be fired. Requested to speak with someone else however she refuses to hand over the phone to another person. Please review your customer service team in Australia , Victoria

Very disappointed with my Smeg kettle! I bought it thinking it would last a good few years but sadly it hasn't! Leaking badly from the bottom of the plastic water level indicator! I think it should be replaced as it was very expensive?

Cooker hopeless. Service appalling.

Cooker purchased December 2014 ten months later the fan packed up and I advised that the ovens kept shutting down completely.

The fan was replaced and I was told that the ovens shutting down was a 'safety feature' by the Smeg/Dolphin engineer.

After a total of five visits by the engineer replacing a total of eight thermostats, two fan motors and one heating element, the shutting down problem remained and I requested a new cooker.

Thankfully I had purchased from John Lewis who had a far more honest approach to the problem and I'm now expecting delivery of a John Lewis model replacement cooker.

After many emails Smeg service have advised that their ovens are not expected to operate at the maximum temperatures of the control knobs.

Or to put it their way, my cooker was operating to the manufacturers specifications!!

According to their last email the parts were only replaced to show that the cooker was working to specification. Believe that if you will.

Even though the Dolphin engineer not once attempted to test our cooker at the maximum temp. or anywhere near. In fact by the end of this saga the main oven shuts down both ovens at anything above only 225 degrees.

Smeg cooker, hopeless. Smeg service appalling.

Dolphin engineer seemed like a nice guy, so I expect it is the Smeg Service's policy to deny everything and avoid their obligations.

the SMEG helpdesk in Belgium is not working on Saturdays, however no such message on their answering machine. I have spent over 30 minutes each times without ANY respons.

I have a problem with Wok pit. Last time they sent someon, he just turned the amount of gas higher so now we cannot use it at all since it functions as a fire launcher now and is extremely dangerous.

So yes, i am not happy with SMEG

Rubbish service and rubbish products AVOID as all you are buying is a name which has been cleverly marketed as 3 out of my 4 SMEG appliances have broke

I purchased a Smeg induction oven from Harvey Norman and it is useless. It locks all the time and is a health risk. They sent their service provider to fix it and it is still locking. Food is burnt and inaccessible - unless product.
