Wachovia got a bright idea and changed my mailing address. This was not my idea, I did not request an address change. Consequently, my mortgage statement didn't arrive, and when we noticed and paid our mortgage, it was late.
They promised me This was their fault and they would not let my credit rating be tarnished. They lied. Now I have a deliquent account on my credit report.

I have had my account since they took over my bank in '93. I have stuck with them because of my automated drafts. I have had several overdrafts due to the way money is credited. I have resolved most of the issues but now a new one has come up. Unauthorized charges that cause an overdraft and a$35 chg. and now I can't get through to the bank on the phone their 24/7 cust.service line was "unable to address my concerns at this time call back later" after 15min. on hold. I think it just might be time to change my bank. I have 4 acct.

I currently work for another institution that had to contact Wachovia for adjustment purposes for one of our customers. I was completely astounded at how hard it was to work with this bank. After many hours on the phone with numerous customer service reps, it took seven weeks to answer a simple question when I had all the information to give them. The resolution would have taken all of a few minutes and a click of the mouse. I documented my whole experience. I racked up a total of 21 phone calls to 14 different people that told me 14 different things. Not to mention all the pages I faxed most of these people. Also, the number that Wachovia has listed for all 50 banks has the same phone number which is an ACH hotline. The reps from this hotline act like you are insane for calling them even though their number is the only one listed on the planet. They do not have a clue what to do with a real check. They just pass you on to someone else who will leave you on hold forever and then disconnect. I am very disappointed with this bank and have found that bigger isn't always better. I feel sorry for customers' who have to try to resolve anything with Wachovia. It is almost easier to cut your loses and go on, but maybe that is what their goal is.

I do not have an account with this bank but i get relentless calls on my cell phone from them trying to reach some guy named carl, they leave messages on my voice mail for him as well. my name is not even close to his (at the begining of the voice mail intro) are the bank employees so dumb that they do not realize that they are contacting the wrong person? Ijust got the phone with customer service and i am promised that the representative with contact the appropiate department to make them stop the phone calls, we shall see if this actualy works. After all this i do not think that this will be a bank that i will be looking to do buisness with in the future. This bank seems to be dazed and confused, I hope they figure it out!!!!

I was waiting for the customer refund department for almost 1 hour on the phone. Then I decided to disconnent. Wachovia's overdraft charges are higher than other banks that I have used.

Wachovia charged me a fee which caused my account to be overdrawn. When I went to the bank and spoke with them, they gladly removed the fee. However, when I asked them to remove the overdraft caused by their fee, they could not. If they can remove the fee that caused the overdraft, why can they not remove the overdraft. Their answer at the bank was that the computers were programed such that they could not override their response.
